Film Description
Join Alistair Snickersnack as he takes you on a journey into the mindscape of the world's greatest poet.

Docontheweb - Reginald Von Flippyflap Lord Westington III
PostModernChuck - Alistair Snickersnack / Owner of Flannery's

(my apologies to the English -- I couldn't be bothered improving my wonky accent.)

NOTE: Before you get excited, just know that this movie is -- errrr -- "not good." Seriously. Lower your expectations. I made it in a couple of empty hours with a mouse that could barely function in AMM. Doc's VO files came from another film that never materialized; instead of letting them go to waste, I have incorporated them here. I put zero effort into this movie. Don't be surprised when you find that it sucks. I just wanted to end my moviemaking drought with something light, goofy, and unsubstantial. That way, I can eliminate the jitters associated with more highbrow fare.

MUSIC:
Albinoni - Adagio for Strings
Bach - Goldburg Variations
Mouret - Fanfare

(all music was obtained from copyright free websites)

I will not pretend that this was even worth making. But, hey, it amused me for a milisecond or two while I was making it, so that counts for something, I guess.

Lol - "toon in next time" - by the end, the English accent (which actually started off really well) was ... well it looked like the actor had given up trying.

The poem itself reminded me of Douglas Adams's Vogon poetry - thoroughly bad but funny as well. I liked the way he cleared the pub out!

The VO level could have been higher for the poet, I had to turn my volume up for that part.

The opening was very BBC 4 - I liked it.

An entertaining piece of froth all in all.

I really enjoyed watching this film. The music was brilliant and tied in well with the plot and atmosphere. The storyline itself was bold and creative. I had some great laughs while watching it. The voice overs and dialogues were really good and funnny. Overall it's a great funny film. Well done, great job. Could you rate my new movie Chicken 4 please. Thanks.

Oh come on. This wasn't THAT bad. ;)

I actually enjoyed the VO work here! And while this definitely wasn't the greatest PMC film, it certainly gave me an excuse to rot my brain for 4 minutes and 11 seconds!

Congrats man... you're definitely the Master of Cheese... (But of course even you know this is cheesy- so it's all good!)

It never hurts to have a little fun and experiment, and I was entertained, so you still get five stars! :)

Certainly not you best...but even you know that. To me it wasn't overly funny but I sure did enjoy the whole English aspect of it.

The end made me laugh, and I couldn't stop giggling at Doc's poetry reading.
The excelent performances and nice camera direction pushed this comedy from a 3 to a 4 for me. Nice work.
Howie.

Alright, i did have a few laughs but from what I read on the comments this isn't really your stuff. I really enjoyed J Alfred Prufrock as that dude in the beginning and end he made me laugh hard. All in all good comedy flick and you are really hard on your self. Check out Action Heroes by me (also a comedy) when you get a chance.

So here I am getting as much reviewing of charted films in on a day off before engaging in Canada Day festivities -- and lo and behold, postmodernchuck has come back with a new... ahem... film. ;)

A fun, cheesy little parody of Masterpiece Theatre. There isn't a whole lot here, so it limits itself to the borderline 4-star range for my reviewing standards. But it is well edited, has some good wit and laughs, and managed to keep a smirk on my face throughout. Now get filming on your bigger projects! ;)

Hehe well certainly not what I expected from a pmc film. But the comedy surprise was a positive one. The good laughs you packed into this deffinatly are worth 5 stars.

I'm frankly disgusted. A great man like Alistair Snickersnack would never appear on "Mastercheese Theater"
Theater? Theater? It's spelt Theatre you bloody colonial!
Seriously though (?) Half a dozen laugh out louds means 5 stars in my book. (Loved the Oedipus line especially)

Very funny. I just hope that no crewmembers were hurt in the making of this production. Oh, wait. Nevermind. *Points, and laughs at the loser*

Great stuff. I enjoyed the voices, and the wonderful music.

5 stars all the way!

Simply beautiful! Lovely classical music. Your filmmaking feats amaze me, as even your so-called no effort films amass shiny ribbons! I await next week's episode with great anticipation! There will be one, right?
