The wacky circus tune combined with the black and white effects give off the illusion of a fun-filled silent movie. Though it's just that - an illusion. The story focuses on two clowns attempting to outdo each other in a contest of classic gags, and by classic I mean ancient drivel which was only funny in the 1940s. Fake gun, electric buzzer, just needs the banana slip to complete the set. I'll bet after reading this you just said out loud "damn, I forgot to add that one!"
Well, at least the silliness of it all had me doing the Cthulhu dance from Penny Arcade.

I was hoping that the gun would really kill the first clown and that a car would then run over the other clown. Then I was hoping that the joy buzzer would really electrocute the clown and then the other might jump off of the building to his ultimate death out of sorrow and regret.
By now you must have guessed that I don't care much for clowns...
Snappy little music went well with the shananegins, i don't see how it relates much to actual "B" movies, but very few of the entries is Riott's B competition actually did.

Good B movie! Music was good.
B&W was good to the film.
Good job! Good luck!

You know what? I hate to admit it, considering I actually expected to hate this (I don't like clowns)... I liked it! A Lot!!
For a B movie, it's A+. Really made me feel I was watching a movie from back in the early days of cinema. You captured the mood nicely.
Nice use of some of the silliest scenes in TM, too. Well done indeed.

Although not a fantastic film this movie has a few things going for it.
For starters, a wonderfull choice of music. It fit the concept of the film well and it also had a classic sound to it which made it fit in with the black and white image of the film. That is another one of this films strong points by the way. By using black and white you made it seem like we were watching one of those classic slient comedy films. The reading cards were also properly edited in so that we knew who was saying what.
Now the down side. Only one real down side but it is a major one. When it comes to the scenes they were very weak. What we have is a bunch of clowns running around trying to outbest each other in a Spy vs. Spy type of way but you used very generic scenes to portray this. I realise that this isn't entirely your fault. The Movies can be limited at time but I think you could have found better scenes to use to add to the comedy a bit more.
Overall, the movie is weak but the black and white looks gives this film a bit color and the music really helps the viewer get into the film. The classic feel of the film really saves it.
I give this film a 3 out of 5.

A very enjoyable movie, with some good entertaining moments. Great work on the voiceovers, they were very nicely done. Also perfect music for the movie, it really created well for the scenes. You also set the scenery well, for instance black and white tool. By including his, it makes the movie turn to a classic-style and for viewers, it can be compelling.
But however, when it comes to scene creating, it was slightly poor. It seemed fairly rushed and this can make the viewer feel confused. This was a let down for me because you did so well with this movie, but when it comes to scene creating, it drops the stars. It seems that you've spent time on the outer-movie-making for example music, B+W. But the inner-movie-making, was poor.
Overall, I found this movie enjoyable with great voiceovers but the scene making robbed a star. Four Star.

Ah yes, nightmare fuel of the highest class - clowns I mean xD. Good old fashioned cartoony fun! It was rather predictable as we've seen these scenes a billion times over, but the purpose was served so regardless, five stars for you.

Not really much to this short flick but what is there pretty good I am sure there where some restrictions on this "competition film" but here is what i like
VOS!!! Man you REALLY got down that old silent film voice down to perfection!
Music was catchy and definatly fit the film
most of the editng was great though I felt the chase scene could have been a lil bit shorter no biggie though.
