A very promising start to the series. Technically the movie had numerous flaws and the pacing was rather quick at times but i know you had a helluva job exporting the film and know you had to trim away ALL the fat. I really like the concept of the movie horror/mystery/occult/slasher is a niche genre but one that has great potential. Well written and well directed although there is room for improvement. A particular hat tilt goes to the creative overlays you used in the movie -very nice, very effective

cheers

This movie stole my heart. ===K4=== ........ What a great job at creating a specifically chilling and tense atmosphere. The urgency was plain.... the mystery intriguing. Super overlay work, really liked that! Let's see what happens in Part 2.

Very good! A tense, erie police drama interwined around a horrific murder. It grabs you from a terrific beginning. Well set up. I like the role of Cambi and how he deals with the paranormal. Great mods, camera work, and best of all story!
My only critique would be that the VO's were hard to hear in parts. This was very well done. Can't wait for part-2. Congrats to everyone involved!

Interesting question you've presented to us Blaze. Will Detective Walter Carnbi find a clever murderer, or be forced admit to himself that there are powers beyond even his understand?

Flaws aside, good concept that in itself, incites me to see more.

Yeah, enjoyed this a lot.
Great sfx and camerawork and a gripping story to boot.

VA work was excellent, as expected from Blaze, Sparky, Artorious and Goofparade and the music worked extremely well with the themes.

Nice work and looking forward to part 2.

good:bood,story,vo's,costumes and peoples accents...

Certainly a really good film with only few bad things.

First of all the cast is superb, everyone is doing a very very good job no one is sticking out in a bad way. Also I like the character of Det. Carnbi a lot, the looks and the actions and voice blends in perfectly, one of the best characters in a tm movie. The music fitted good as well.
Still there were a few cam angles in which you could see the end of the set, the scene flow was quiet bad at some points and the paint shop blood effects made it look less serious.

I thought about giving it 4 stars, but because there's more positive and the tension is built up well I decided on 5 stars.
Good work.

A good set up for what becomes a macabre mystery in short order.
You definately left me wanting more! Nice mods, overlays were original,
acting and music worked very well. Ambiant sounds, music and FX were great.

Some of the gestures by the actors were distracting, perhaps chosing more neutral gestures or shooting more faces from very close-up might have helped mask the limited choice of body actions..
Levels on the voices were a bit up and down I found.. Sparky was overall too soft and the death screams of the victim were overamped to the point of distortion.
All and all, I liked the pace and flow of 13 and of course,it's a well painted picture, and I cannot wait to see what happens next!!

Very good start to this captivating thriller! You had enough hooks to keep me
wanting to see more. Some of the VO's a little flat but the cinema made up for
that. You gave us enough of the chars. to want to know more. Good Job!

13 Part 1 is a solid horror thriller that is full of deep and dark manic undertones!!

You managed to get this series off to a great start with some compelling story telling and vivid imagery!! from the vibrant neon glow of the police sirens to the jaw dropping bone chilliling use of overlays and sound effects, you cvreated a very unusual, distinctive and highly effective eerie setting throughout.

I look forward to seeing how Part 2 turns out and anxiously await! until then...

Great kickoff to what looks like a killer (so to speak) story.

A tight story, combined with some excellent performances by all members of the cast (many in multiple roles), atmospheric camera work and well chosen music, plus some really nice overlay work, makes this one of the best horror flicks I've seen in quite a while.

I've been waiting for this one for a while, and the wait was worth it. Hopefully the wait for the second part won't be as long.

Gruesome. I like it. Intriguing story growing, though we don't know much about the "evil" at work here. Look forward to finding out, though!

(Clever use of overlays, btw.)

Nicely done, BlazeLeedragon!
