Film Description
*ATTENTION! THIS MOVIE IS INTENDED FOR MATURE AUDIENCES (18+)!*
Don???t say you haven???t been warned???.

Part B is here: http://movies.lionhead.com/movie/148551

If you want to do yourself (and me) a favour, download the high res version here:

http://www.tmo-hi-res.com/TMOinGloriousHighResolution/sisch/DarkObsession.html

It has the movie as it should be seen: not cut into two parts, and with stereo sound!

The sound of the movie is optimized for wearing HEADPHONES??? in these TMO versions, there are a few kinks soundwise ??? largely due to the fact that I had to cut the sound/fx / music into little bits to get these to export properly (146 soundsnippets for both movies, to be precise.) Try as I might, I wasn???t able to get the kinks out.

Firstly, thank you so much for making this movie Sisch, on a lighter level than this review will be it thoroughly entertained me and at the end of the day, that is all that really matters. Unlike the majority of TMO movies I??ve seen I didn??t feel like I was constantly forgiving the software for its limitations. The only time I had to use my imagination was when you as the filmmaker refused to show us things artistically. And I??m not thinking about the obvious visual things you hid from the audience there.

From the beginning title sequence I was captivated and I was immediately reassured that what I was about to watch would be absolutely brilliant. My initial feelings certainly ended up being true. What a ride! What an incredible mix of emotions and ideas is presented to us.

Little needs to be said about your expert camera work, the fantastic voice acting, the amazing dialogue you wrote and the custom content that brought this movie to life. Not to mention the music that I know you made yourself and it was absolutely spot on. Be proud.
It was technically perfect to a point that I didn??t realise was actually possible with game software. You brought the characters to life with superb use of the available scenes and incredibly detailed set dressing. On top of that your mastery of creating a deep and involved atmosphere with multiple layered sound effects is astounding. It made the whole thing just so much more believable.

What gripped me was the story. Masterfully weaved together, in such a beautiful manner, like spiders web it clings to you and never lets you go, even after the movie is over. It makes you think, but that??s not all, it makes you feel, which I feel is the most important effect a movie can have. Whilst never experiencing anything like either your character and AND??s character went through I can somehow, deep down, identify with the process they went through. I am insanely shy and so is my girlfriend (well you know about that!) so it really touched me in a way I didn??t think was possible for such a dark story.

I like to think of this movie of a dark version of Romeo and Juliet. It makes you wonder if the characters actually truly experiences love and if they really did, what is love exactly? If it wasn??t love then what did she feel? Was she clinging on to any emotion she could find to counteract her extreme loneliness? This is such an intriguing view on such an obscure relationship. Obsession is an interesting concept and it is fascinating to explore how it relates to how we feel about someone. Perhaps there is a line that can be crossed where a healthy obsession can turn into a dark one. I can??t help but wonder what would have happened if the characters had made what I would consider as better choices.

I loved how conflicted AND??s character was and how hypocritical he became. There is a dark side to all of us and both characters portrayed the deepest blackness of human personality in such a poetic manner. In the same way as Romeo and Juliet they were star cross??d lovers. Doomed from the very outset.
To quote Shakespeare they were "Two Households, both alike in dignity ...". Separated by a mere road but also by extreme shyness and unusual habit. AND??s character is exiled by his own mind.

Riott??s character mirrors the Nurse nicely and the owner of AND??s characters apartment seems to mirror Mercutio slightly, but that might be pushing the comparison a little!

What is most interesting is the tragic ending, which I believe was the only outcome possible for either character. Unlike the Shakespearean play in the details but strikingly similar as a meta narrative of love and tragedy.

Dark Obsession is a masterpiece. Unique and as far from ??run of the mill?? as you can possibly get. I was speechless after watching it, but felt that the movie and the moviemaker deserved more than just a quick sentiment of awe.

I am thoroughly impressed. Congratulations, well done and once again, thank you so much for making this movie.

Had me gripped, but 'Mistress of Darkness' voice (her inner monologue anyway) was a little too quiet, I had to keep adjusting my speakers because the guys voice was much louder.

Fantastic! Probably the most sophisticated adult-themed movie on TMO. The edits are superb (those slo-mo cuts - just wow!) It is a gorgeous piece of cinema. You've raised the bar . . .

ENTRY IN THE 'WRITER'S BLOCK BEST SCREENPLAY CONTEST' (see the 'Your Movies' forum for information.)
And what a spectactular entry it is! Makes my silly B-movie attempts at filmmaking seem even worse than they already are. Who knew you could get this much from these quirky animations. I'll ask the obvious, How much of this movie is autobiographical? And if so, is there an apartment available across the street? hehehe.
What set this apart from the crowd was the characterizations. Even the bit players are given some dimension. The flighty co-workers. The landlord. Even the guy she brings home had something going on. Not so nice (the first time I've heard the C word on TMO) but even he had some depth. The two main characters are so well drawn, you feel for them completely. She is such a sad case. She gets invited out, but doesn't go. She sits home and wonders why. She's the perfect victim for a stalker. And lucky for her, she has a perfect stalker nearby.
If I could give a couple of critiques: The length of this movie is limiting, not only technically, but practically, too. I've seen these movies around, and haven't watched them because of the length. Silly me, I should have watched immediately. I wonder how many haven't watched because of the time involved. The only other thing is the motivation of the stalker. We know why SHE'S a loser, we see that in the first scene, but we never get why HE is. There's a throwaway line in there where he says something like: 'I never needed to touch them before.' So we know he's had other stalkee's. But, we are never shown why he has become what he is. One little flashback scene to a past experience would have been all it needed to show his reason for stalking. Oh, well, a slight mis-step in an otherwise brilliant piece of work.
Sisch, you are a heavy-hitter here on TMO and this movie shows why. Alright folks, the bar has been raised.

GREETINGS FROM L.M.A.O. STUDIOS!

A flawless film of inescapable passion.

*Reviewed for Part A & B. This reviews contains spoilers*

Obsession is truly the perfect title for this new blockbuster romance by renown actor and film maker Sisch's. A tragic tale of a man's obsession with surreptitious tendencies and a seemingly timid woman who's desire for more in life sets the stage for this heart racing dark romance.

The Lethal Entertainment logo by Naz is truly second to none. The professionalism of the animation, sets the tone of quality for the film.

The opening titles were amazing as well and also help set the tone.

Sisch's bold script is what makes her and this magnificent film stand out from the rest. The story itself is something that captivates you in a very honest and uncomfortable way. The story is unlike anything I've ever experienced on TMO. The maturity, intelligence and professionalism of the story really stimulates the mind and draws you in. A truly brilliant idea by a gifted artist.

The dialog blew me away. The naked honesty of each line shows the boldness of Sisch's willingness to achieve a high caliber film that is truly upstanding and doesn't hold back for politically correct sake. Masterful story telling lines like ??Its stale..?? and ??How do I feel?? really touched me personally because there are many layers of meaning to these lines, as well as many others. Sisch has written some of the most honest and heartfelt dialog I have had the pleasure of experiencing.

The spectacular acting in this film further solidified its place in greatness. Sisch performance was stunning. Her portrayal of a woman struggling for something tangible to stimulate her life, only to become emotionally broken by the end of the film, was truly heartbreaking for me. I cant call Jason's (AND) acting a performance, that would be an insult. His remarkable range of emotion in the character, is the very best I have seen any actor achieve. The (and I know I'm using this word again but its so fitting) nakedness of his acting is emotionally draining. By the end of the film, I was in disbelief of his boldness to but his set out there for all to see. I mean wow. Goof's acting always seems so easy for him in any role. He has a keen sense of adaption for the characters he plays. The subtle pauses between lines and his knack for mannerisms is why Goof is the king of character acting on TMO.

The cinematography is so impressive. To balance the shots to not always focus directly on the characters themselves, but rather let the performances paint the scene, is yet another show of brilliant film making. The dissolve overlay shots, again, are like nothing I have seen on TMO. These shots added so much emotion and heart to the moment and it was a truly inventive and an ingenious idea. I also loved the changing of the underwear's color to give the inclination of the passing of time. Very cleaver indeed.

I would also like to mention the attention to body movements of the characters was very apparent. Riotts character in the first scene, matched her dialog very well and made the character that much more believable. This attention to body movements is so very crucial to selling the film, especially with this medium, and it is very noticeable throughout. Well done..

The editing was extremely crisp and tight. Each scene was incredibly well paced and Sisch's attention to keeping the emotion flowing with long static and pan shots is impeccable. I myself get quit nervous with long static shots. Are they too long? To short? Does it carry the moment? However, Sisch has proven she is a writer/director at heart and knows how something as simple as focusing on a phone can have so much meaning.

Sound design and effects has always been a big factor for me in films. I specifically listen for ambiance and the littlest things, such as a door closing of screen. Every scene, and I mean EVERY scene is loading with arousing sounds. From ambient club chatter to a working office, I was impressed throughout.

The music, I can honestly say I am jealous of. From the subtle undertones scores throughout the film, to the majestic opening, to the sincere final score, I was shaking my head in amazement. Direction, editing, sound, acting, cinematography and now an impressive soundtrack? Is there anything Sisch cant do?

Set design of the office and the club was so fun to experience. I was scratching my head thinking ??How the hell did she do that??? Fantastic work, I was wowed!

Overall, I can honesty say this film touched me in a profound way. Is it due to AND and Sisch's performances, the editing, the cinematography, the music and sound? No, its due to the fact that it all came together in perfect unison to create something truly exceptional.

Thanks you Sisch for sharing your wonderfully talent and imagination.

Part A of this fascinating tale is an emotional and suspensful ride that had me in my seat full of anxiety. This was an amazing dark story of two tortured souls who's path crossed in unusual circumstances.

So far Dark Obsession has been a real treat to watch due to some great story development, cinematography and production values.

I can't wait to see Part B !!

So far this is quite an impressive film.

The voyeuristic dance scene with the overlay and slo-motion edits was masterful.
By the end of the sequence I think her lingerie budget must have put her in debt. ;P

I loved how you set up the office with coworkers. It had great set dressing in the office and on the person(telemarketing headset). Even the skyline outside showing the rooftops of nearby buildings was a nice touch.

But if one has to split a film in two or more parts, one must find a key moment that forces the viewer to want to see the next part, then and there. I am a little upset that I have to type this review right now. I am not the best reviewer so it's best I write it now before I forget. Which is of course keeping me from seeing Part 2 right now! ARGH!

An excellent starting point for the movie, with some excellent writing an interesting take on those stalker stories, interesting character design. Excellent use of Overlays loved those transparent overlays. Great camera angles well chosen. I also loved the way you had it so you could hear what the leads were thinking. And then I'll say some Excellent acting all round.

Great first part, going to watch the second.

Some top-notch writing, beautiful overlays, and an interesting twist on the "Stalker genre" put this film high amongst my collection of films. This film is one that you can simply sit back and watch without thinking "The director should have done this or that" - it's utterly enjoyable, with no errors in sight (With maybe the exception of those odd, annoying "Skips" in the sound every several minutes - but perhaps thats just my computer acting odd?). Some beautiful acting by the leads (I especially liked how you seemed to "cut" AND's lines so that his surprised exclamations (Gasps and whatnot) appeared to be spoken, followed directly by his thoughts - very artistic!) and good acting all around by the supporting cast. Yet another reason why I regret not having a faster internet - I'd LOVE to see this movie in high-quality.

If the second part is as half as good as this, then expect another five stars from me shortly!

What a story? Provocative, twisted, and I??d say, insightful.

It was pleasure to hear Sisch and A_N_D performing across such a wide emotional range in a single movie. What a wonderful treat that was. I applaud all the cast members as well.

The intimate and passionate monologues closely follow every movement of the two characters?? thought processes in almost claustrophobic and obsessive ways. It was an interesting choice for a movie, and the execution was quite admirable as well. I could really believe these characters. If you indulge me, I think it could be interesting to see the same story told (or should I say ??shown???) in a version that is almost silent and mind-bogglingly vague about the inner motives of these two people.

I felt it was great that Dark Obsession does not look away or flinch as it dives into these two characters?? inner psyche, and it reaches for deeper not only with its dialogue but also with its camera shots and pacing.

You can always count on lethal Entertainment for an exceptional ride!

I have to say, Sisch, that what I just saw was a fine piece of art. I felt deeply involved in this story. The musical score was great. It fit the mood of the film. Not a lot of movies I see on TMO that are more than 10 minutes long fly really fast, like this one did, and I mean this in a good way. I felt like I wanted more (which, I can't wait to hit that download button for the second part). This movie is the perfect example of well-done cinematography and I think every film maker on TMO should look up to you. There is nothing bad to say about this film. With the teasing you did to us with the striptease, to all the editing you did, to all the great performances from the cast, this truely is a classic to hit TMO. Well done, Sisch!

Wow. This was an impressive and enjoyable ride. Right from the beginning I could tell this was going to be something special. The credits seemed professionally done. Then the opening scene in the office was a treat to the eye. There were plenty of great directing skills displayed throughout the film. I loved the combining of our characters together in one scene as displayed in the voyeur scene. It was wonderfully done. The story was entertaining as well. I couldn't help but wonder where this was going to go. Great work with the voices as well. The main actor and actress really outdid themselves. I'm glad I was able to catch this wonderful piece and will now watch part II. Bravo!

This was likely one of the best examples of cinematography in a TMO film ever presented online. The story was solid, with really fantastic voice acting by AnotherNewDawn, Sisch, Riott,Kwistufa,Goofparade and DNR. The characters felt natrual in and around our main characters. It was a very well constructed film with a darkly promised story of love never realized.

Sisch's sound design, film style, master technique make this just a powerful film to watch. This film delivers at every turn and having watched the Hi-res version, i was just impressed with the reality of the whole film. Bravo Sisch, just Bravo. I loved every f i n g second of this film.

This is based off of the Hi res version.

Well it takes an effort to make voyeur movies more creepy than usual but Sisch has never been one to back down from a challenge. A technically excellent piece from the music and sound effects to the well done and yet subtle special effects, Dark Obsession is an interesting and frightning movie about voyeurism and about voyeurism being turned upside down on it's head. It's difficult to say which character is the creepier but something tells me that this was intended. Very well done movie Sisch, I know you put a lot of work into it and it shows :)

This review is for the HiRes version, selbstverständlich :)

As exploring the dark side goes, it's not about getting there, it's about the journey and this one was very explicit and disturbing.
You seem to like going there, where I'm not sure you can return from and at times it was hard to tell where the writer ended and the character began.
At least, that is the impression the movie gave me which probably means it got under my skin :)
It is very, very well made with so many litle details that I'm sure you can only notice if you used this software yourself
(the overlays, both static and animated, the modded sets, costumes, the starmaker crafted characters,...)
Most prominent, however, is the sound: daring performances from both AND an Sisch, solid work from the supporting cast, lovely music (I can't believe you did that yourself) and great sound design all around.
Loads of work to get it right, I'm sure :)
I very much like the cinematography, many efficient camera angles and movements: the bathroom sequence, folowing her body and ending with the lipstick; several different angles on the phone ringing in his room; the great blending of images from him watching and her being watched, great :)
And so much attention to set dressing (the disco, both bedrooms, the office,...)
Nothing seemed out of place in this movie and all elements contributed to an eerie, doomed like atmosphere.
You just now it can't be a happy end, but very much like your main characters, you don't want it to end...
I'm very impressed by this movie. This could easily be a real life movie instead of an animated one, which proves it has nothing to do with the tools used, but all with the talent of the movie maker.

That was the best i´ve seen in a long time. Very Entertaining. Sisch probably makes her best performance ever and AnotherNewDawn is great as well. The directing is realy good, and the script keeps you intrested throughout the whole thing. A Masterpiece.

Excellent cast! All of you do an incredible job!

Use of freecam is perfect. Direction could not be better!

The music fits everything to a T. Every scene is lit up by the sounds.

Very well written. Each scene shows you how each detail was thought out specifically. Once again, the direction could not be better.

Alright, I will stop slobbering over this movie now and move on to part 2.

wow that movie was so dark and beautiful i can't even describe how much i love this movie. You are truly a genius. I didn't feel like i was watching a TMO movie at all. The overlay fades just blew my mind and the score was great.

Brilliant movie, what a great emotional piece. It really leaves you wanting more to see the outcome , will he win the girl, will she discover herself further? Excellent narative, great camera work and music as well. Loved this piece, will watch the second no questions asked.

This review is for the TMO version of the film, watched as usual in the dark, and in fullscreen and without headphones (I wouldn't take my headphones into a theatre, so I refuse to comply with the director's request here either).

As it happens, apart from some minor pops in the soundtrack, I didn't hear much wrong. The film was well balanced soundwise.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER WARNING!!!!!!!

So far we've had two twists - the first being the way she doesn't become scared of the pervert and actually uses the experience to express herself sexually for probably the first time in her life.

And the second - the cliffhanger where the perv shows he has no interest in actually meeting her and would rather see her as a 3D porn film with someone else. This may change in part II - we'll see ...

!!!!!!!!!!SPOILERS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So far, the acting and indeed casting has been superb.

The "following" scenes were very well handled - even if I did get a hilarious vision of the "trashcan following" scene (why was this not put in? - I demand to know!!) [not really]

Music was very good - I like the trumpet phrasing (it's one of the better artificial trumpet sounds I've heard) - reminds me of Mark Isham, a composer who specialises in moody trumpet-based soundtracks.

Good camerawork, and I liked the slow motion during the striptease scene - a scene which also had some nice dissolve effects. I'm not sure she's as shy as she makes out - she seems to have a wardrobe full of sexy lingerie stored just in case she becomes a pervert's fantasy girl.

So - let's see where all this is leading - off to part II ...

Is honesty a virtue? You decide... The last thing I (honestly) thought at the end of Part A was "Uh no -- you're supposed to ask to her take a GIRL home. Increase your chances of a proper threesome." LOL! I think I may have seen something similar to this story (so far) in an episode of Red Shoe Diaries (or maybe in a Penthouse Forum letter). ;)

This is a very well put-together film thus far. I've noticed all the technical subtleties that I look for: foley sound effects always at the right volume, some very seamless editing between well-placed set dressing and overlays, and a strong opening title sequence. The only aspect I question (and I know this will be a bit tough to take) is breaking the sound into so many snippets. I find if you use the music track instead of the sound effects track, you can get them into larger pieces without interrupting the flow of the music. The brief breaks in the music were only noticeable on a few rare occasions, so this was a very tiny distraction.

The characters are played strongly by everyone, and the story is paced just right. You've managed to take these animated characters and, with the help of some good voice work, turn it into something that's actually quite the turn-on!

To hell with the Industry 101 TMOA show... I'm off to watch Part B.

A strong 5-stars for me thus far.

A sexy, perverse, fresh view into the mind of a stalker. Simply astonishing in every aspect: Sound design (Man, only you could ever consider those subtle noises, and they definitely add to the realism).

The cam angles (So fresh it felt as if (and probably was) every scene had freecam use).

The music (I have to get MMM because some of those tunes were simply out of this world!).

Script (Honestly a little too much dialogue was spent in thoughts, but other than that it was very realistic, and you captured that office daydream sequence that I love so very much down to a T).

Now the VO's. I'm not plugging, just using a rather convenient example to make a point. I have tried my hand at making my own stalker movies, divvied up into mini episodes. I subtitle them as I know I can't possibly make my voice sound good enough to be convincing. About 1/2 of the reviews I get usually tell me that it would be great with VO's. "How?" I say, "It's so difficult to nail that stalker voice with such emotion and spot-on feelings. I wouldn't have a clue how to do that." Well, after watching this movie (and eventually Pt. 2), I have found how. A_N_D did such a freakin' fantastic job, he not only deserves a pat on the back, but a pat on the back, a chest bump, a high five, an elaborate secret handshake, and a gold star. And Sisch, what an amazing job you did as the "victim" (To those yet to see this film, you'll get what I mean after). I can certainly tell that is what one would sound like (Because I certainly didin't know before or anything... o_O). Riott did great, Kwis did great, GP did great, hell, everyone did great!

So, I guess what I've been trying to say through all these words can be summed up in just two.

Freakin' fantastic.

I'm going to post this review in part 2 as well

My god Sisch! That has got to be the best movie on TMO! Just got done watching this in HighRes and I must say, everything is better in HighRes.

I have to start off by saying You are amazing Sisch, amazing! So much detail was put into this film, so much that I can't even find the right words to describe it.

The cast was outstanding! Everyone did an excellent job filling their role. A_N_D really got into character for his part. Emotion was with every line and this just felt so much like a real movie you'd see in theaters! Sisch you also did an impressive job on your part as well!

Story was breath-taking. So many twist and turns made my eyes glued to my computer screen just waiting to find out what happens next! I felt to be under Sisch's spell! Lots of details made this feel like a realistic situation. I would have to say best story ever.

Visually this was eye-popping! All the angles you shot from were phenomenal. You can see you took time to sit there and decide what angles were the best. Really showed off how great your freecam skill is!

Music was magnificent, you did a very nice job on creating the music for this. The sound effects sounded so real its hard to believe!

All I have to say is that your work has really made me stop and think of how well you can do if you just take things one step at a time. Its made me come to learn that with practice and patience you can make anything as well as this. You have inspired me to try harder and focus on making good films. If I had some type of award I'd give it to you and your film 'Dark Obession' such an awesome film that will be a classic forever!

Wow !Sisch, your'e amazing.

This movie mesmerized me.. drew me in..
I felt like I was a party to the voyeurism...

You have a history of making great films,
clever and detailed, always well acted.. however, this one takes the quality cake! Straight up,your best flik, complete with your own music, created by .. Sisch.

Without a doubt my favorite performances by both A_N_D and Sisch. A_N_D perfectly balances the detached attitude of the early voyeur with his growing discormfort as he becomes more involved and exposed..a true pro that nails it every time.Brilliant performances by both of you.

Sisch, you also nailed the audio mix in this flik, perfectaly balancing a complex audio track filled with many F/X, original music and dialogue.. your skill nowadays at soundscape design is at the top of the TMO game.

I had a visceral reaction to this flik.It moved me!

Congrats Sisch and co...for making a special experience.

Absolutely fascinating, and unpredictable. What a delectable, sexy, and completely unexpected masterpiece. This is top caliber stuff--worthy of the silver screen. From the moment I heard the outline I knew this was going to be good. But as time went on: the script; the cast; the music; the mods; the overlays; the sound design, each one raised my expectations higher.
Could it be that good? Was it possible with The Movies?
Of to part 2

What I would like to say about this movie?.I don??t even know where to begin?I hate to review but I felt this deserved the up most attention I could possibly give it?So I opened up the Microsoft Word Processor because I??m even going to take an extra minute to spell check this later.

To Start:

Script: It??s amazing script. I read it and was very impressed. You had an idea and was able to convey it into a script that was enjoyable reading all the way thru it. I wondered if you could channel this great script into a TMO movie and I was not let down. This script could have gotten really sleazy and too unrealistic but you were able to express the feelings of the main characters beautifully on the screen with out compromise. Although, the main male character did not speak to the woman at all?The movie flowed and was easy to follow. You brought us into their heads and we felt every thought and emotion that they went through. It was tragic and I could feel my heartbreaking when faced with the ending?which I won??t put here as I don??t want to spoil it.

Voiceovers: I think I sounded like a retard?but at least a kewl retard. I did like how in the office scenes Kwis (Kwis..You were great!!)and I really did sound like we were in the same room talking. Goof has the perfect voice for just about every part I hear him in. I just love his voice. AND?..I don??t think anybody else could have played this part. He made the character?.I don??t really see anybody else pulling off this piece. It??s very deep and emotional. Boy?.he made stalking a sexy! Whew! How moist were we girls?? SISCH: You have an amazing voice and I have seen you in a lot of roles. You have wonderful range both in voice and acting?which aren??t the same thing. When I read the script; I had wondered how you were going to pull this off?.I felt this was going to be something new for you. New is sometimes scary thing. It takes a lot of courage to make a movie like this. Kudos to you!!

Editing/Overlays: Of course, everything was spot on. I really liked the overlays towards the end when she touches him. I could tell there was a lot of work into the overlays?I can??t begin to guess how many overlays there were?my guess would be a couple of thousand?? So hours and hours went into those?.it??s very impressive work.

What I hated: I cringed when I heard some TMO movie music. It??s just a quirk with me.

Overall: It f^cked Rocked HARD!

Dear Sisch... please stop documenting my life. :) OK, ok... not true. :)

I could say a lot about this film, but I'm sure others are doing a much better job of it than me.

I will say that it is easily one of the best things to come out of TMO.

The music was beautifully put together. The cast were excellent (you and AND in particular). The sound design was just fantastic. Overlays and mods, again, terrific. And in particular, that little dance number... spell binding.

The emotions you managed to portray through this medium... astounding. I was hooked (and yes, I guess I am a bit of a pervert and can relate to this in some ways... shhh!)

A near flawless production and WELL WORTH all the effort you put into it.

Thank you.

(I watched the Hi-Res version - thanks to you and Norrie for that.)

Woah. . .

You weren't kidding when you said for mature audiences! LOL

This was such an engaging movie. The characters are so interesting! It's really neat to see a movie where you can actually hear the thoughts of the main character! The mods and music here were amazing!

And the sound design! WOW!

And don't even get me started on those VO's... :D

Amazing work Sisch, I'm going to watch part 2 right NOW!!

If this isn't the BEST MOVIE ON TMO..... then one of us is just plain stupid! ===K4===

RIOTT rules and rocks in her performance! Outstanding!

A-N-D .... of course I am biased, but a flawless presentation.

Sisch..... This is the most superior work you have ever done. The sound design, overlays, music, costuming, camera, sets, atmosphere, etc,,etc,,etc,.... While you were highly esteemed and regarded before by the Community, this movie makes you a living legend! A BILLION STARS for you.... and even that is not enough! BRAVO!!!

Creepy, relentless, superbly acted by all.....and a hell of a zinger at the end of this first part. Not at all what I expected.

Now on to part two.

Posted on March 28, 2008
- nukester

What can I say after that.. just what can I say... ok...

In my humble opinion, Dark Obsession is the most suspensful romantic thriller ever on TMO!!!!!

You have managed to successfully craft a story that not only oozes professionalism, but hits deep by exploring the mental and psychological structure of two similar yet different souls!! This made for some terrific viewing as it allowed the viewer to be embraced in the consciousness of these characters and get up close and personal to the 'mind' like never before!!

There was some excellent acting all round with some stellar performances!! from the reclusive protagonist to the emotionally turmoiled stalker to the fascinating and often hilarious colleagues to the grounded landlord and lover. Each and every character played a key role in painting this haunting yet addictive picture and I had a ball watching them all breathe life into this tale.

Attention to detail was in an abundance as subtle yet key aspects were demonstrated fully and across the field. From your elegant use of overlays to portray computer screens to the highly immersive use of soundeffects for gentle movements in bed, I was sucked into this world and I did not want to leave it.

Although this is was intended to be a full movie and was watched as a full movie, I will split this review into two parts, so off I go.

In terms of viewing this as Part A, this was a solid and enchanting exploration into the psyche of these torn characters!!!

Well done on establishing the story and it's feel and until Part B's review....

Nuke Well in the Obsession!!!!

The way this film started out kind of reminded me of the Red Shoe Diaries, and other sexy late-night cable shows like that. Where voyeurism between a creepy man and a lonely woman is often presented as a dangerous fantasy- but played out harmlessly with little to no consequence to either party who part ways in the end with only vivid memories they can draw from their encounter. BUT, as the film progressed, it slowly began taking a more twisted shape. It got alot edgier, and with a hint you might be heading for a head-on collision circa David Cronenberg's Crash (with voyeurism in place of the car crashes).

The voice-overs set the proper tone, the style and look of the film fit the story (with great editting making the voyeur scenes seem really authentic... and kind of steamy, too). And the mods played a huge part in telling this story properly, whereas in most other films they're simply used as eye candy.

Looking forward to part II, which I will watch and rate directly.

I say, bloody good film, Sisch.

All the cast were so amazing, A_N_D again he's good on VO's, Riott and Kwistufa also done good as well.

Good music, props, everything.

Film on. 5 stars.

This is something new. Honestly, I decided to watch the online version of the film instead, because I didn't have the patience to wait for that large Hi-Res file to download. But this is a review. I really enjoyed the quintessential use of mood. It really got to me in a weird way, it was unique, charming, original(at least for TMO). The use of overlays, props, and sets were remarkable at best. I like your music(rather it was remixed or redone or just plain new), everyone check this out.
