I love drama, and that was drama at it's best! Love everything about it the cast did an awesome performance, the mods and especially the writing, that is one of the best scripts I've seen for a tmo film! =)
An absolutely deserving winner!

I've been captivated by this story very well written. I specially like the character of Officer king and how you show his feelings. The relation with his wife is really strength and touching. The acting is very good for everyone but he's better for Officer King, it's really good job.
So, there are good sounds effects and musics, well chosen, create an excellent atmosphere. There are several good ideas on the set-dressing too.
So, congrats for the good job and thank you for that moment.
See you!

That's just great :( - now a brilliant filmmaker is going to be spending all his time playing on X-Box. They should have given the prize to the worst entry.

Of course, this review is delivered as an analysis of the film as a standalone piece of work like any other. I couldn't care whether it was in a competition or not - any competition restrictions are not taken into account.

This film succeeds easily as a spin-off to Last Rites. It is an excellent character study which ties in really well with the events in the series. It is recommended that anyone reading this who hasn't seen Last Rites should do so to get the most out of this film as it heavily references events from those movies.

Acting was very good throughout from all characters and the music was well used. I liked the song at the end too, well sung - this song is very significant, but you have to watch Last Rites to see why.

Writing was very good, I think it was deliberate that Officer King sometimes repeated himself ("You look as good as the day I married you" and "But then I think of Laura and the rest is easy") - a character trait perhaps. There were some really good lines, my favourite being "maybe it was God's will ... but in my life, nothing good ever came from the top."

Editing was excellent with visual punctuation of faces or people against a black backdrop, perhaps showing what is passing through King's mind at the time. The pacing was very good as was the recreation of scenes used in Last Rites.

Apart from some minor VO quality issues with some characters and one instance where King was nearly drowned out by some music, this is a superb effort, so good that it should be considered canonical to the series rather than as a fan-fic (of course, only the series' writer kuroken can decide whether it is or not).

Great job! I hope the X-box gets lost in the post.

Here we see Officer King, a man doing his duty and fighting for his wife. Every single minute told so well and how we see Officer King brought up is so different from his appearance in Et Filli. The acting is brilliant. Everyone doing their job well. Set dressing was good and the music set the mood.

Overall, a great entry and a worthy winner. Great work King!

This movie has a mystery behind the story... The ending only points to the strange image that perveys nearly every scene in this movie... Totally unexplained by the actions of those who move about in this world of weird goings on... Even though Officer King can only see his own fortunes as a pebble nudged off a ledge into a deep abyss... He still get up every morning to put on his mascara and eye liner. Just so the rest of the world can enjoy the image of a middle age transvestite wanna be...

The best story and acting of all the Last Rites movie... Watch and enjoy...

A worthy entrant and winner of the Last Rites Competition with a bold, gritty and down to earth portrayal of Officer King in the Last Rites world.

There was some great story telling along with some rich and deep character development which gave the viewer a new insight to a lesser known character. It was a joy to watch the story unfold and there were some great VO performances by all who were involved.

Projects like these are a testament to the scope of Last Rites and this adds more value to the whole experience.

Thank you for sharing this side of the story with us! so until the next time...

Nuke Well in Rex Rgis Fortuna

A truly deserved win for a marvellous movie!
I loved tghe way you followed and developed the story of the character from the original movies and tied in back into the series. I actually felt sorry for him, not something I expected!
Well directed with some wonderful VO's, Congrats!

The best of the xbox competition films. The script is excellent and you manage to make us care for a minor character in Ken's film. You took him and made him his own. Never will we be able to watch Ken's film without being able to think about Officer King differently, as a man with his own troubles. The acting is top notch and the final scene keeps you thinking.
