Film Description
No1 in The SCI-FI Charts, No1 in the STUNTS & EFFECTS CHARTS and No1 in the TMO OVERALL MOVIES. Thanks to everyone who has commented and rated my movie...and I hope you're all looking forward to Ghostship: The Artifact....

Well, here it is. Ghostship finally makes it onto TMO. VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: Captain West was played by OCELOTFILMS and NOT deimoseclipse as stated in the end credits.
These are the opening scenes to a much longer film: Two Deep Space Miners stumble across the derilict spaceship The Narscissus and thinking of the big fat cash bonus they'll get for finding her decided to go onboard, only to get a very nasty surprise...WARNING: Contains Some Strong Language...
The Movie has over 1200 frames of custum animation and after about 30 renderings some slight sound sync problems still appear near the end of the film, I hope this does not distract you from enjoyment of the film.

I would urge people to view the High Quality Ghostship Directors Cut on YouTube:
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Y7UKN4ZwNwY before making their final judgement on the movie, as that has perfect sound, smoother effects and alternate end credits.

Big Thanks To OCELOTFILMS and Joseph Kwong for all there help an support.

Great special effects, and even a decent story to boot. And all of it in under 5 minutes. Very impressive.

I think it's the most amazing SFX graphics matched to action that I've seen on TMO. Great pacing, and editing, along with an intriguing storyline, that leaves so much open for past and future episodes. Can't wait for "Ghostship:Artifact."

An interesting prologue, Excellent special effects used and well produced. Some great scripting and dialogue between the characters. Loved the music, extra bonus points for doing them yourself.

Good Luck with your next.

Proluge sets it's bold foundations with an amazing and outstanding visual presentation. This is coupled by some great scoring and good VO's, there were a few moments at the beginning where it was a little hard to hear but overall this was some stellar stuff! all this from a highly promising studio, I cannot wait to see more chapters of this highly promising saga!

So until the next time my friend..

Nuke Well in the Ghostship!!!

Although I've been keeping up with this production, I must say the final product still blew me away. Fantastic effects along with an intriguing story and stellar soundtrack (composed by yourself as well no less!). The first lines of dialogue were drowned out by the music, but apart from that this was wonderfully executed. Well done.

Excellent film! Loved every second of it. Overlays were great! Over 1200 frames of animation is amazing. This beginning was very interesting with great use of sound effects and custom animation. You've really got something here and its only the beginning....

Looking forward to the next Ghostship

With sci-fi, it is the one genre that really needs to go the extra mile with effects. This film certainly gives plenty in that area.

Plus the music is totally awesome!

I really enjoyed this movie!. :)

Spetacular special effects. Not much story yet, but it's leading up to it, that's why its a prologue, to lead us into the story. I'll wait for the next one.

Very good work. Cool mods. The opening scene when the ship lands is spectacular. Interesting idea. Good VO but a little profane for my liking. Let me know when part-2 comes out. Continued success.

Can you please review my new movie: The Armor of God. Thanks.

First off, I like it!

But there were some mistakes. For example in the shuttle at the beginning the music was to loud so I couldn't hear the dialog, then the story seems interesting but nothing new in fact it was used a lot in real films, but we'll see what you make out of it and then it all felt a bit rushed at the attack I think you could've made that fight/drone attack scene a bit longer and I also felt the cut was to tight in the fight scenes but that's only me.

Of cause there also was a lot of good stuff! For example the sound fx was done beautifully as well as all those visual effects and I found the acting to be quiet solid.

I'm really interested what you gonna make out of the ghostship story! I guess I just have to wait for the next part. =)

Well with all the hype I thought this is going to be the bees knees - sorry no.
Yes the VOs were good, effects were way above The Movies norm - but the story! Sorry didn't do it for me. 'Alien' all over again...without the suspense.
Worth 4, not 5 though.

Yeah, while the overlays looked pretty, the acting and jumping between different sets, corridor 2, then 3 then 4 etc make it seemed a bit unorganized and sloppy. Ane the actors really could have got into the part and been more emotional.

A fantastic visual treat with a no show on story. Ok, I'm sure lots of reviews will continue to focus on the neat fx seen here, but with films like Capitol reaching far beyond in both story and fx, you must really bring a story to support mods. I waited a few hours to reveiw, and now, here it is, a honest reveiw based on my opinion of what could have been much better but falls short.

The Good. Impressive and exciting set up.

The bad. Dialog first. In any good story the dialog should be king. Saying things like " I must now open the door, so that i may travel to the room on the other side of the door i need to open so that i can get in that room" is seriously silly (thats not what you said, but the point remains. You over-explained the simplest of ideas and it came of badly. You have 2 guys who work together in deep space, you would think they both would be smart and savy about what to do on a salvage ship. and not feel the need to spell it out. This is pretty much the issue with the whole script.

Now, the first event happened so quick and without much reason that we didnt even have time to feel a mood being set up. The ship is supposed to be spooky and moody, scary and empty and well you get the idea. Where are the shots setting the stage for this place? Where is the mood? its just not there. The fx were great, dont get me wrong, outstanding work there, but thats just not enough. You need substance in this kind of story. you need to make us feel uneasy about the ship and what might be there.

In the end this felt like a "look at the cool overlays and mods" you find in a tech demo (and some of those at least make us excited to see more) than it did a film set up. It fell flat. I think that if you invest time in both story and fx, and dont make the reason for anything to happen just there to have "1200 somethings somethings" over 12 badly written and ill acted lines. There is no mood here and no feeling. Just a Look at my cool modding. Recently a marvel of a film has been released that both has amazing fx work and a fantastic story that never lets you go, and this film doesnt not compare to that quality. I say this because its my honest feeling that if you focus on story and character you will find the rest will fall into place based on the need of the shot/scene and or moment and not the want to use a mod because it looks cool.

I think i'd be doing you a serious dis-service by giving you anything other than a honest critic of your film. So Hopefully this helps. As always my PM box is open. 2 stars for groovy mod, but nothing else here of substance leaves it a hard 2.

Long story short. I liked the story, the visuals, the sound design and I loved the original music... this was a very well made film!
Once or twice... perhaps watch the music level over the voices but hey, nice job and bring on the next episode!

Very well done. Great special effects... certainly some of the most impressive I've seen on TMO. Your story was a bit linear, but considering it was a prologue, I can understand. I'm interested to see where this is going, and I'm certainly glad you didn't take it down the path of the original "GhostShip." Haha... Nice work.

Pretty nice little flick with a lot of effort on the effects and the action here. The dialogue is ok but I felt the direction could have been a little stronger in the speaking scenes. Perhaps some shots with more focus on the faces in those initial deck conversations. The writing the list at the table scene also felt a good bit out of place. VOs are solid. Music is appropriate and well done. An enjoyable sci-fi introduction and I look forward to future installments.

Wow, the Special Effects really looked amazing. Nice dialogues and a intense atmosphere make this to a very nice prologue. But I wonder why you just invested so much in great amazing Special Effects, but your backdrops are not fitting at all, you even see once a short time the green standard backdrop of the stage set =/. Well, this is your first movie, so I think that 5 stars are really fair. Good job!
