Much like some kind of a multi-layered fruit, the Last Rites series is getting progressively more enjoyable as it goes on. The story has thickened emmensly and I am now, 100% hooked. Anything I can say now are simply repeats of my former statements; brilliant voice work, an extremely thrilling and realistic script, characteristic and fun dialouge, and a unique and skillful musical track. Onto the last episode!

The great movie making continues in this wonderful series. I don't want to tread anywhere close to a spoiler so I will save my comments for after the final installment. I am amazed you were able to produce these in such a short time and maintain your attention to detail.

Wow and I mean wow!

Again, I would write the same long review as the first installment, but it would praises for the same reasons, so I will simply refer to that review.

Added praises for the excellent performances by A_N_D, Norrie and K4.

Off to watch the final chapter.

More intense stuff in this episode - which I won't say too much about or this whole review would be a giant spoiler.

Let's just say it's well acted, paced and directed. Hooker did well here as he successfully kept all the Biblical exposition interesting through his performance.

There were minor lip synch issues in some places, but the body gestures were matched up well to the dialogue, so this unavoidable bug didn't hamper the film in any significant way.

So far, this has been a very very good watch. Time for the finale ...

Well done kuroken, this is a fabulous continuation of "Et Fille" in which I really enjoyed and got into. Initially looking at the length of the film, I went "26 MINUTES!!!" but to a surprise, after watching, nearly half an hour slipped by almost instantly, thanks for this entertaining film and I look forward to the next sequal continuation.

You know...there arent many movies that could just be watched with just the sound turned on...but this movie has such strong acting and writing that the story could have been a radio play. But the Icing on the cake is YOU Can watch the great way Ken has used his visual to punctuate and make this story Sparkle!...

And Im so happy my brief appearance in this movie use my very own Starmaker actor... Nice touch Ken!
once again you got 5 stars!

Something I have noticed that I may not have mentioned in my previous reviews....This is possibly some of if not the best written dialogue on TMO. It literally crackles on screen. Props on the writing. Its definitely nothing if not unique...You have also made me a fan of the Falcone character. He acts very Marlowe-esque at times. Which is bad ass of course...

Again, excellent filmmaking Ken. All the pieces have been placed for an epic conclusion in Amen.

Fantastic all around. Great script, directing and especialy acting. One of the best Thrillers ever on TMO.

Could you watch and review my latest movie: The Extra-Terrestrial? Thx.

I just had to catch up with this series in preparation for the finale's release tomorrow. This is truly a feature film quality production, with great pacing, characters, and an intriguing storyline brought to life by some of TMO's finest VA's and modders--what an entertainment feast! Now to stock up on more popcorn for tomorrow's release.

like the one before it, et spiritus sancti was awe inspring movie work at it's best. the last one left us hanging to the point of being nerve racking this one stops just intime for us to get a breather.

the blot twist and character background is superb. Voice Acting top notch, music well selected. the lines are well written.

from the moment it picks up to the moment it leaves you hanging at the end Et Spiritus Sancti is spell binding.

You are truly gifted Ken, and I for one can't wait for the last part, and if you are up for it, releaseing these all in high res on a DVD....let me know because I would love one.

Hehe, I loved the way Jase was calling Hooker a nutcase :D
Once again another realistic and gripping experience as the quadrilogy draws to a close.
You can tell a lot of hard work has gone into this, and it's really paying off.

After you release AMEN, I demand a weekly series! :P

Great voice acting etc... Can't say much else. Can't wait for AMEN!

Best episode thus far. The entire film started the slippery ascent to the entire series climax. The final battle between Satan and God played on battlefield earth. Great VOs and music once again, and the interrogation scene was just outstanding (I was so engrossed I wasn't even bothered by the minor sync issue). Overall, just an incredible piece of work. From what I know, Amen will be simply spectacular!

26 minutes? Seemed like 10. Plenary indulgence and multiple f-bombs? It's the Dogma of TMO.
Cracking stuff again; bring on part 4

Holy crap, this series just keeps getting better and better. Once again great acting and I'll remember this episode as the episode Jase saids the F word about 20 or so times :p. Great acting, a great cast. Very good music. Superb filming!

I tell you, some great quotes in this movie. Once again a great film and cant wait for Amen.

It seems that every installment in the Last Rites Series blows the doors off it's predecessor, and Et Spiritus Sancti, is no exception.

Every element present in the previous 2 episodes holds true here, even as the story seemingly unfolds into the supernatural. While this episode in particular has many strengths, the 2 that stand out the most to me are the Writing and the Pacing, just top-notchness all the way.

As I've said in my reviews of the first 2 episodes, I will save my full review for the final installment.

One more week.

The story continues and the plot expands even further, now I feel lost in what is good or evil, and what to believe. Things are now heating up, great work all round on this production thus far, I look forward to the final part.

Strider Out!

I'm running out of good things to say about this series. Would "this is far and away the best detective/crime drama I have ever seen on TMO" suffice? Great stuff yet again, with some really exceptional writing, and I am really looking forward to the finale!

And sorry for interrupting you on Skype....again. I don't know about you, but when I'm on vacation I forget what day it is! :-D

Still loving it, as the story draws in deeper and deeper.... Must be coming up to one hell of a conclusion, eh? Nudge-nudge, wink-wink.

Jase continues to show that he actually can VO (no matter how hard he tries to convince us all that he cannot), and the supporting cast all do a fine job.

As we've discussed off-air, this is still some glitchy goddamned software, so I don't sweat the niggling sound synch issue much - easily forgiveable and understandable, given the greater context of the film as a whole. Such strong writing and pacing really overshadows the tiny flaws.

Even considering the decidedly supernatural turn the story has taken, the film still feels grounded in reality, a must for this type of story to truly chill the viewer, rather than make them feel as though they're watching a cartoon. In spite of all of his witty lines, it is Falcone's character that plays the straight man to all of the weirdness around him. This was great writing from the get-go, Ken - a truly smart move to use this main character as the foil (in more ways than one) to the overarching theme.

I'm still looking forward to the final installment, so that I can sit and watch the entire series as one film. This is going to end up burned on a DVD and reshown long after it leaves TMO, which is the highest compliment I can give it.

Film on, Ken. Bring on "Amen".

Damn Ken! It always ends right at the good part!

That was equally as great as the previous 2 chapters and really makes me want to see the final. As before the VO's, and modds were all wonderful. I eagerly look foward to the next chapter.

The Last Rites story continues to unfold, with some new revelations, and a suspense level that makes us all need to see the final part! The production value, subtle background sound, and use of set dressing continues to be strong. Love the Falcone character and the consistency Jase brings to his role.

This particular episode seemed to have a bit of the old sound sync issue... though I'm actually not certain if, in some cases, it wasn't due to accidentally misaligning some sound effects on the timeline? At times the sync seems to work; but in the interrogation scene in particular, it got a bit distracting having the punching sounds out.
I also felt some of the conversation scenes needed to be edited a bit tighter. Sometimes it felt like a character was waiting a half-second before responding.
There was also something not quite right about the one scene where Dunkel turns on Falcone and drives off.

So, with some of those minor concerns (hope you aren't slipping!), this episode slides down a bit to a low 5 stars for me. That said, I very much look forward to how this all wraps up!

This thrilling story continues as the thin line between good and evil is blurred even more. Who is to be trusted? Who isnt?...

"Et Spiritus Sancti" draws the viewer in with an amazing story that has seen such a diverse and mixture of characters who stay true to themselves. I would have to say that this is the 'Darkest' episode I have seen so far with such a gritty turn of events.

The pace of this saga is it's defining attribute with some excellent dialogue and story. As usual the attention to detail in this was quite impressive yet It is the story I have to go back to again, brutal, gritty and utterly gripping stuff!!

The final scene was highly intruiging and I wonder what woman 'Father Thomas Shaw' was referring to... hmmm ;-) HA!!

I look forward to the finale to see how this saga ends. Until then...

Nuke Well Et Spiritus Sancti!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh man, I'm biting my nails... I want the conclusion, now!!!
Yeah, so I know the conclusion (duh), but the way you're tightening the strings here is just so masterful, the suspense so great! It's just killing me to wait one more week...
Again, love the way you brought this wonderful script to the screen - and I have to compliment the cast again: Sparky, who brings the never wavering Hooker to life so perfectly, Duffy as Draper, Andy, Norrie as the Monsigneur, AND and K4 who literally made the hair on my neck go up - and of course, Jase... who might say he hates vo'ing as much as he wants, but fact is, he just nailed his part sooo good!
One more week.....

Incredibly well made and thought out. The characters feel real and it feels like this is happening as I type. The VOs were fantastic (aside from that SGPorsche48 guy) and everyone fit their part perfectly. The music by Admulto was great, and the Last Rites Theme by Norrie is still haunting as ever. A great pace and tight editing. Great all around.
