Film Description
***Note: This movie contains some strong language....it's not gratuitous, but it is realistic....if it bothers you, you've been warned***

Et Fille is the second film in the Last Rites mini-series. It was preceded by In Nomine Patris (http://movies.lionhead.com/movie/144266) and there will be two additional films, each released over the next two weeks: Et Spiritus Sancti and Amen. For those who don't already know, the titles of the four films come from the Latin version of the traditional Catholic blessing: "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen."

Father Thomas Hooker's gang of teenagers continues to kill as Detectives Ritchie Falcone and Jimmy Dunkel of the Violent Crime Unit try to bring Hooker down. But things are not what they seem, people are not who they seem, and knowing who to believe and trust has gotten very complicated.

I have no idea why the thumbnail is so freaky....but hey, it's a freaky movie!

WOW! This was so great! I especially have to compliment your editing here. Everything was so smooth, you really took advantage of those minor animations we all see in the game! I especially liked the end. . . wow!

I'll be watching part 3 soon, 5 stars all the way!

Et Fille had a important factor: The twist in the end of the first part. This promised a lot and I was interested all the time. Not really hooked like in Spirituces and Amen, but you already got my interest. Very nice direction again, could have been sometimes a bit more risky with camera movements I guess.

This series is still shining with quality storytelling and fantastic voice acting and music. The effort you put into creating the ambiance with modded sets and background noise is awesome. I loved the "Roger" easter egg.

GREETINGS FROM L.M.A.O. STUDIOS!

Even more impressive than the first installment.

I would write an equally lengthy review as the last, but it would be the same praises for the same reasons and we want to see the next chapter. So I will just add...fantastic once again!

The plot thickens ...

A good second episode here with plenty of nice performances again (once more, Falcone is on top form).

Very well put together, the conversations flow naturally and the editing keeps the story moving forward.

Off to part III then ...

Rarely is a sequel as good as one hopes for, but this met and exceeded all expectations.

The second part is just as good as the first. It flows well and is paced wonderfully. I am hooked. Now I must see Part 3. This film will also receive a Murpheykid Recommendation.

Just as good as the first and a great setup for the third. Top job Ken!

Going to watch part three now. :)

kuroken, what a brilliant film this is, in which you have brought to TMO.
The kind of SVU, crime scene structure, really attracts the eye of whoever watches this brilliant film. I myself, must say, was rather disappointed when the film ended before Hooker was caught or killed, but your sequel is out and I am due to watch it, well done.

Yours,

Now that was a movie! The first I was slightly iffy on, but this - Jeez! A thrilling episode which really picks up the pace from the first! Some people might have had doubts about the first episode, but this one - I mean, just wow! A definite five stars! I have just bookmarked the first two episodes and will catch the third soon as I can!

Favorite moment: "Stop...It's the police..." *Bam*.

This project is certainly an epic undertaking. I'm amazed at how quickly you have been able to come out with such high quality films. Et Fille keeps the suspense rising and pulses quickening. Aswome job Ken, and to all who are involved.

Great continuation here, the plot expands and we fall deeper into the whole affair. Excellent character development, mods and prop placement. I've probably said everything else before, so I'll go with the great work.

Looking forward to the next part

The Last Rites story continues to unravel in fine fashion here. The story and characters are where this shines, and I look forward to its continuation in Part 3. (1 star for not releasing it on time! LOL!) Falcone and a few peripheral characters seem to be the only ones not wound up in some part of this... and for now, it's very difficult to see just where this is going. Great work on keeping the anticipation level high.

Dunkel's cell phone ring made me seriously laugh out loud. At first it was like "what the heck!" until I realized it was his ringer. ;)

There's a lot of subtle work done on background sounds here that I love -- the police radio, car engine noises, gunfire, and other noises. There were also some overlay moments that I very nearly didn't pick up on. Production value is solid, though the ending is quite abrupt.

Somewhere in the mid-5's for me. Looking forward to the third part!

ok F U Ken...F U!!! holy sh*t!!! the first one was slow, and picked up at the end, I sorta got board about half way through...

This one...edge of your seat gripping action, the story was incrediable the attention to detail amazing, the voice acting top notch, the plot twist and turns, camera angels and custom scenes and cloths, to the music...

man this is movie making at it's best, this one deserves more then 5 stars, this one is up there with deed of midnight as one of the best I have seen on TMO, utterly fantasitic, and as far as the F U, seriously F U man to leave it hanging like that at the end.

you can say I am "praying for more" lol

extremely well done,

this has Blaze's Flame of approval ;)
film on!

Well well well... It seems that lightning can strike twice in the same place..
I give my Thunderous applauds to Part 2 of Last Rites... Like a rainy day in April, this story gives promise of things to come!

I cant imagine why Ken is holding back MY scene, other than to make the story ripen around my performance!
You get 5 stars once again!

Ever see The Omen or The Ring? The way the distorted photographs in those movies signaled impending doom for some poor son of a gun? Well all this talk about demons and the Apocalypse has tainted your computer with some gnarly juju and its distorting your Thumbnail with the powers of the netherworld n' stuff. At least that's my theory, but I digress.

Great job once again. Quicker pace and more tension in this one. You even managed to throw in some humor into what I expected to be a gripping but dark and humor-less story. Nice work. Fantastic job by everyone. Can't wait for the next one. Oh. And if you suddenly start finding your computer in random parts of the house, don't say I didn't warn you. Gnarly juju. Good night!

Wow, wow and Wow sum up this film. Jase and A_N_D just superb once again. Sparky, yet again another brilliant job and along with the other cast. Pacing, story, dialog and mods were great.

Such a great movie once again and looking forward to the next part. 5 out of 5!

By the way, can I pre order this on DVD? ;)

Ah, Ken, how could you let me star in a film alongside the shining brilliance of all the talented and wonderful voice actors who all did superbly in this realistic, gripping and well-directed masterpiece, with yet another beautiful sweeping score by your composers?

How could you let me submit my poultry lines in a film that is truly an epic modern-mystery thriller, that is worthy of making NCIS look like its made by an amateur?

How could you accept my crappy line "I like your accent too" for a film that is shaping up to set the bar to unprecedented level for all TMO films?

You make-a me sad :(
But this movie makes me happy, in a non-sexual and non-psychotic way, which is good, because I just marvel at this film and this part shines once again.

I can't keep giving you 6-stars, so you'll have to wait until the end of the series... So far it's in the bag, and the only way you can jeopardize it is if you happen to introduce a zombie, chicken or gorilla or even the whole ain't over yet scene in the story =P

I love all the cahracters and the plot itself is fascinating! The time flew by! Like I said before this series deffinatly is one of TMO's best of all times and on top of my favurite list! =)
Keep rocking Ken.

Wait no it's over?! No I can't wait for another part! It's so addictive!

Great follow up Ken. I love the little bits of humor that you weave into the story, which also is so enticing that i just didn't want it to end. The acting was great! It is always fun to hear Mustachio as a crazy child murderer, and the rest of the cast was simply stunning! Not to mention your directing was masterful. Lookin foward to what happens next Ken!

Well there ya go, another excellent installment in the Last Rites mini-series. The story really picks up and we're thrust into a shady world where no one is who they seem to be. I hope to not sound like I'm repeating myself so suffice it to say an incredible job, and it's my opinion that this one even topped the first.

Also, am I the only one who found it curious that 3 teenage boys were having lunch in a place called Roger's Huskeyman Grill?

Best. Thumbnail. Ever.

In all seriousness, Ken. I can't say it enough - sitting down to watch this in one viewing is what I'm looking forward to - the pacing is still the star as the overall story unwinds. Just good, good stuff, period.

Who knew Jase could VO? I talk to the guy every day, and he can barely string 700 words together into coherent sentences at any less than 95 miles an hour. And yet, by some miracle, Falcone is delivered to perfection (yet again). Go figger.

The realism still stands out, with superb establishing and transitional shots (limo ride, anyone?), and even the slower parts do their jobs - as a prelude to tension. And the little touches matter, too - that cafe, that background chatter and ambience...

Still reeling us in towards the boat, Ken, yes, you are. I wonder if the fish at the end of the hook ever feel like I do? Like they just can't WAIT to get to get dragged bodily into the boat and devoured?

Eh. Probably not.

I'll definitely be watching "Last Rites" start to finish on the last day of the series, no matter how many times I see them singly. And, hey, "Worth watching twice" is a fine and fitting compliment, right?

Hail.

Whoa, I thought that was freaking fantastic.
All the VO's were truly outstanding.
Very cool props.
Anything is world class.
When I first watched Nomine Patris, I thought that was very good, but now Et Fille is actually more better than the other one. I have to say, Kuroken that did another cracking job on this, I now wait for the 3rd series.
As for now, I give you 5 stars.
Enjoy, Kuroken.

Man i love getting the last line in a movie! Another great installment Ken - the story continues to twist and turn, unfolding at a rapid pace (in a god way, not in a 'too quick it's confusing' way). Again, great use of props, mods etc and attention to details were superb. This mini series is gonna go down in TMO history

cheers

A faithful continuation of this rivetting series. Et Fille is an impressive thrilling part that sucks the viewer into the world and setting of "Last Rights". From the vehicle conversations using prop cars and backdrops to great camera work, "Et Fille" has it's fair share of illusion brilliance.

The story deepens as these characters and their situations begin to flesh out and form an intresting scenario.

Once again, the attention to detail was evident with some great use of sound effects and custom mods. I loved your use of establishing shots, particularly the car scene drive by followed by the conversation. This, a sign of a great director is one of many things I look out for in all your productions.

Pacing for this was incredible with 21 minutes flying by like no ones business. This is due to a mixture of clean cutting and editting mixed with a fantastic developing plot.

The Dynamics of the Voice Actors is a stand out aspect in this series with all members delivering fabulous lines.

"Et Fille" gives us more yet holds back, which is both entertaining and addictive viewing. I thoroughly enjoyed it and cannot wait to see what turns this tale will be taking next week, until then...

Nuke Well in le fils!!!

Anyone got the number to the Huskeyman? I heard that their menu is to die for.

This installment continues to slowly turn the tires, with excellent pacing. I am eagerly awaiting the next episode.

(insert here : all good things said in previous review of "In Nomine Patris")

Keep this superb filmmaking up Ken and I just might have to sabotage your next film.

What I like is how you put so much realism into your scenes and the editing.
Once again as good as real tv! Your cast is even a little better than in the first episode, I thought it wasn't possible ^^ !
The story continues and I can't wait until the 23th to know what the hell will happen!

Nice continuation, Ken. Story progresses nicely (if a little predictably). Not going to analyze this one, other than to say that it seemed to lack a little background noise/sound effects, which made it seem to drag just a tad in places. But I'm really just picking at super small details, as this is really a superb piece of TMO film making.

And ya gotta love that Bar. :)

A ton of exposition, which is always difficult, but this pulls it off brilliantly. Never flagging, always driving forwards, it flew by.

Well, there we have it. The saga continues. The slippery slope begins and our two detectives begin their journey. Some nice direction and editing. Some clever set dressing, ie the limo convo. And with the missing music, it adds a sence of intensity. And nice attention to detail with costuming.
