Film Description
A soldier enters a mysterious tunnel where he will be confronted by things that was and things that yet are to be. A drama/fantasy/romance/artsy describe it the best ... I think:)

Starring the very talented Goofparade as "The Soldier"
Feat Ralfduran as The Artist.

Music
Robert Costlow
and
Air

Sound Effects by grfreesite.

Mods
Tarison (for the bluescreen sets, woudlnt even been possible to do this film without it)
Dr_house (additional scenes)
And Fraasmoves (the kanal-mod)
(If I have forgotten someone, please drop me a pm and I will add you to the description)

Directors note: I am really glad to have this film out. However, I just watched the film and sadly I have to admit that The soldier dosent really go well with the online quality, for different reasons. One is that the props and details of the film is very vital to its message. But I will export a high res version very soon. If you like the film you have here so to speak lol:) More than that I hope that you will enjoy the soldier as much as I did making it

Now ... go and watch the film. And as usual I appreciate every singe comment I can get.

"Hej svejs":D

A great and interesting film, but I did personally find it rather draggy and EXTREMELY EXTREMELY EXTREMELY Confusing, well done anyway.

God Dag till dej.As usuall your movies are very deep and naturally very swedish. In this one I detected a bit of Italian surrialism A La Venedice.I'm not sure if I got the message, but then again maybe that's part of the whole plot.If I have to give you a bad critique,it would be that some scenes were too difficult too observe visually ,which you've yourself have discovered to be because of low resolution. You're simply very talented person!Thank you for rating my movie, and keep up the good work! Great luck to you!

"Everyone on TMO should be watching this."

Jakechief and -Scoot- show

-Scoot-: The Soldier I think was a pointless movie. I could not get the plot and it was just stupid plot. Clowns with axes...? What is that? I am giving this a thumbs DOWN!!!!!!!

jakechief: I totally disagree. That was fabulous. That's all I got to say.

That was a very strange and beautiful little travel!
It's been a while since I've seen something a bit different and this brought me totally elsewhere!
Great sounds and voice acting, everything was so nicely mysterious.
Loved the pace of the movie also.
Yah excellent job!!!

Today my friends and me drank a whole lot more beer than usual and then we did something I`ve never did before, we went through the city and sang christmas songs. :D
Why do I tell you that? Well because it`s something special just like your film! It`s more poetic then any other film and visually outstanding! But the ebst about all your films is, they are free for interpretations! There is so much you could assosiat what that what you`ve just saw could mean, that`s really delicious! I don`t have to say anything about the direction, you know how I think about your director skills, just have a look at a review on one of your other films.

In one sentence:
Visually outstanding, poetic insite and wide opened for interpretations, that`s RalfDuran(aka Cornelius Högenberg)`s "The Solider".

A wonderful tale with a minimum of dialogues and a maximum of impressive scenes. Althougth there were some glitches, like the walls and that the ppl. ran through 'em, this was a great technical achievement at using Tarions Blue Screens. I also liked the use of music and the way you told your story as well. Free to interpret, and it's wonderful that it is. The clown, the artist, the girl...so much more. Can't wait to see it in High Res, to see all the little things. Great job, once again!

I loved this dude. Your work is so damn good. Amazing work.
Quite speechless, but i still do have a lot to say! LOL!
It was great.
It was quite a mix of things as you said in your movie description.
A romance, artsy, drama and a fantasy type of film. I love a good mix in films.
The plot was fabbo, very nicely done. It was very artistic.
I love artistic films. The sets, very unique new scenes provided by Dr house [who i think is a bloody genious for doing that!!!!], camera-work, music and so much more made this film very artistic and i loved it!!!
A very good film. The cast was great, Goofparade was excellent as the soldier and i loved your little cameo!!! Great stuff!
A very worthy film which was a absolute delight to watch!!! Really good work!
I love your work Ralf, you really know your stuff and release after release you keep bringing out great movies! I applaud you for that!!!
Overall: 10/10
Excellent film. Very nice, you really paid attention to every detail you could.
I appreceite that. The music, characters, plot, sets, camera-work and much more show this very well!!!! Top job dude!
I look forward very much to new releases from you!

For moviesgeek101 to one star you because he didnt get it is just plain silly, it is a shame, as one look at his studio page and you see why. I wish we could block these people from taking away from others unfairly and with little to no regard for common sense. Its despicable behavior. Its whats wrong with the reveiw system, clearly this is a thoughtful and well done film with emotion and a sense of style reminiscent of French films in the 60's, with the out of body like exsperience you create.

I have seen you come along way Ralf, and this really shines as a nice bit of work. I liked it all around and really felt that it was unique and done very very well. Im not a fan of Artsy films, but I can see when a film is thoughtful, made with delicate care and true to its meaning. This film fits that criteria. Its really a journey through a dream, and its sad that some people lack the ability to see that.

Nice work Ralf, really nice work.

Hey Ralf, this is another movie of yours that makes me wish we could sit in a little bar and chat about it over a beer. Boatloads of introspection are attached to this project and you pull off some nicely paced, open ended scenes that are punctuated with great sound effects and great visuals. As a matter of personal opinion, the only scene that didnt work for me came across as too reminiscent of scenes from forest gump and the truman show (battle with god in a boat). Other scenes worked extremely well from the footsteps through the canal to the "Dead Man" like boat on the edge of the river. The feeling I get from your movies is very much like those few seconds after you have finished reading a particularly challenging, inspiring, or emotional book and you want to think about all that you have read, all at once, in those few moments.

I'm starting to get used to "feeling" Ralf's movies by now because I can never completely "explain" them... but somehow I know that good things are happening and going to happen.
The visuals and audio are also very carefully conceived. There's a certain amount of introspection going on here as I re-watch it.I enter a zen like state where time and space stand still...

Perhaps the beauty lies in the fact that we all get something unique watching "The Soldier", the trademark of ralf's films.

Excellent music and originality, a must watch twice and thrice in hi-rez.

Wow. That's the second time in a row this extraordinary film-maker has forced 5 stars out of me. I feel wrenched after watching this amazing work, as though I've just taken a wild ride through a fantastical dreamscape. So many images, impressions and emotions, vividly and hauntingly expressed.

Ralfduran wastes nothing in his creations. He seems able to conjure emotion from this difficult canvas at will and once again I am humbled by the experience. This is a master film-maker at work, inspirational and vital, able to reveal a seemingly endless stream of raw human expression.

Captivating, mesmerising and simply beautiful.

Another Cerebral voyage from the Artistic Stylings of Ralfduran.

Man, oh man, was this good, really good. As always you set the tone from the beginning, with absolutely beautiful establishing shots. Your cinematic eye just might be the best i've seen on TMO, i kid you not.

To comment on your writing, editing, direction, and free-cam work would be like telling a penguin that he likes fish, he already knows; just like you already know how great you shine in these fields of filmmaking.

GP did an outstanding job, but then again, he always does.

Ralf, you're one of my favorites, please, keep'em coming.

Absolutely Outstanding Cinematography and Vision. This piece was both beautiful and haunting. Totally and Utterly captivating right from the start due to a good fusion of Scenery,Prop,Camera,Sound,Music and VO execution. You are the master of Art films as far as I am concerned and the twist to this fascinating tale was truly sublime. You have done yet another splendid job on sharing your visualisations with us and I for one cannot wait to see what is next from such a talented visionary.

Until the next time my friend...

Nuke Well for the Soldier!!!!! Nuke Well indeed!!
