GREETINGS FROM L.M.A.O. STUDIOS!

A fun little film that is like Cast Away meets Lost meets wth?

We really enjoyed this film. Particularly the dialog. Loved the "talking to the invisible companion" bits.

The cinematography was also noticeable. Simple yet effective in giving the abandonment feeling to the audience.

A well made and clever film!

Loved it. Sparky: you do that great, dry, Brit humour so well. The "Lost" bit made me laugh a lot.
Perfect delivery. Goof was a hoot, and a great surprise at the end.
Lots of laughs in a short - perfect!

Pretty good Brit humor, Sparky! One of my favorite types of humor. Good job, liked the plot, and Berni is a little.....well, it's a no-brainer. Loved it, keep it up!

A very funny movie, with an original situation. I like the character of Bernard, Googfparade has made good job. I specially like when he was speaking himself. So, it was a nice moment, I was surprised in the end. The music is cool.

Hello there. Saw your post and thought what the heck, I take a look. It was a nice little movie and it made me smile. It even made me make up my own jokes during, which I would have used had I made it. Strange. Still very nice movie.

Please watch and rate my latest movie. The chock comedy "I Really Think We Should See Other Rabbits".

Clever little film, perfect to keep me entertained for a few minutes. :p

The dialogue makes this movie, although good use of the camera helped too. ;) Bernie was a laugh, as were his constant conversations with his friend. :p The rip-off comment got a chuckle. :p

VOs were very well done (weird recognising a voice from real life! :D :p ), delivered perfectly. :)

I do believe I'll go bookmark your studio now. :p

contains spoiler! don't read it, just watch the movie. it is just the right amount of lunacy for a sunday morning.
marriage does sometimes feel like i'm on a deserted island with only a lunatic to talk to. so you made your point.
and a funny little movie. bernard was on target, crazy, with the whispering to the invisible guy. and then he says, oh we can't stay out here, we'll catch our death, so they go 'inside'. nice work. great twist at the end.

I just came back from reviewing SINS, so this is like a sparky double feature. Definitely a different movie than SINS, I'll tell you that. I really enjoyed this one. For me, Bernie is really what made this movie. So quirky and strange, but something so lovable about him. Great dialogue (I especially liked the bit about The Others), and an unexpected ending. A fun little film that is one of my new favorites. Great work!

Nice little abstract piece, I must say. I felt it was a little too long in parts -- I know that sounds odd coming from a guy who makes 45 minute films -- but sometimes less is more and in the case of this movie a little tighter dialogue would have gone a long way toward clinching the punchline. Perhaps I would have felt differently if the old castaway's story had been a little more unique and interesting, but he seemed as confused about what was going on as the man suffering from that delicate condition known to many of us as "morning amnesia". (Seriously -- it's what keeps many people from screaming upon waking up.)

I think that the confusion of the old castaway was what really weakened the humor of the film for me. He needed to be much more sure of himself, his surroundings, his "friend", and especially of his past. To have him splutter and be unsure of his facts really ruined what was otherwise a very clever twist at the end. As it was, I saw it coming and the joke was spoiled for that reason.

Not a bad little comedy, but not a great one either. Credit some fine voice acting for an additonal star and keeping this film from being average.

GREAT FILM

The Good
The VA was spot on perfect in this flick. Music was good. camera work was great espicially the focus shots on bernards convo with the "other survivor"

The BAD
While the comedy was not my style it did have its moments, and didnt take away from the overall quality of the film

It was pretty good. I didn't laugh as much as i thought i would.
I think it's most definetly because i never watched "Lost", so that's why i didn't get most of it.
I will agree with Harb40 that it was pretty much dry humour for most of it.
I smiled a lot throughout it. I only laughed out loud at the punch-line at the end. That was it.
It was still quite enjoyable. A very nice cast.
I do think that the plot was a bit weird, but I did understand it by the twist at the end! Nice idea! Great!
The punch-line and twist at the end saved it from being a 3 star.
I liked it overall. Not excellent, but pretty good. Was expecting something amazing by the reviews, but it still was worth the watch and i didn't waste my time. So, you did do a good job dude.
I really don't think i did waste my time watching this Sparky, but i will say one little thing, i felt it dragged on a little bit when Bernard was talking to Louis at one point, near the end of their conversation i think it was.
Despite it being a tincy bit of a dissapointment for me, it was a good film and i rather enjoyed it!
Overall: 7/10
An entertaining and well done short. Good job!
Nice effort, cast, to sum up it basically, Great work Sparky!
Looking forward to more work from ya dude! Sweet.

Just call me Bernie

The Good:
The storyline. Nice twist. I didn't see that coming.
The Voiceovers -- very well done.
Costume selection was rather good.
Dry humor seems to fit you well.

The Bad:
The multicolored credits. Didn't look good for this film. They didn't blend well and were somewhat hard to read.

Overall:
A good dash of dry humor. I didn't understand it at first but after taking it in for a few minutes it hit me. Very nicely done.

You want to bring thise one back to #1? So do I, here's my review.

Extremely funny. Not only the great ending, but the whole dialogue. It already starts with the music & intro. Pure holidays feeling it seems.

Great job Sparky not only in the script, but also in directing and for casting those both great VAs. Highly entertaining little flick!

DISNEY2000 REVIEWS:

Plot:4/5
Well, the plot is a bit simple, but pretty understandable.Anyways,I was a little confused in the ending, that he ended up on an beach lying inside the hole city.Anyways,I like the plot!

VO:4/5
The VO was excellent!Goofparade did an awesome job with his voice. However, your voice was a bit out of sound sometimes, and I think you should fix that problem!

Mods:3/5
There are not much mods in this movie, just an simple way done text and some sets as props put in the background to resemble the city. But I like that you`re not using too much mods!

Genre Fit:3/5
Well,it fitted in the comedy genre a bit,but it didn`t make me laugh even an little bit.I see it more like an Drama/Comedy instead...

Overall:14/20
Overall,it was an good movie, but there we`re some bad things, and this comedy didn`t make me laugh.Hopefully your next one will make me laugh a little more...

Look Sparky, I just came off from writing a review for SG, come on man, leave me alone :D

Good stuff here! Very fun! Nice twist too :P A few stuff ups here and there such as the black sky (unless there was a brief apocalypse), but cool stuff overall!
Just turn off sound effects next time, the laughing was annoying me it's like the character had eaten someone and they were laughing in their stomach =D

I kinda sorta knew where you were going about two minutes in, but then, you knew where you're going on a rollercoaster too....it's not about where, it's about getting there...

Excellent VOs, amusing writing...for a short comedy piece, what more do you need.

I was rather looking forward to seeing GP's characterization of a drug addled Jane Fonda but was pleasantly suprised to run into Weekend at Berny's instead. Once again, nice subtle humour made better by great vo's and an amusing situation.

A FREDTHEDUCK REVIEW

Plot: 19/20 - I loved that, it was brilliant. It kind of reminded me of tre's recent short comedy with you in it, where you had a bit and then an ending which pretty much just cut the whole thing off but was hilarious at the same time. That was a genious ending, which literally had me laughing out loud at it. Awesome.

Humour: 19/20 - If you can get me to laugh like you did right at the end, you deserve five stars. There were other jokes I chuckled at, like Berni's asides, but that last one was hilarious, I loved it.

VOs: 15/15 - I don't think I've ever seen any of the cast ever put a foot wrong in any movie ever, and by the standard in this movie, I'd believe anyone who had never heard of any of them would think the same thing.

Custom content: 8/10 - Well, you didnt really need a lot, but what you used was good.

Editing: 14/15 - I can't fault you other than the title sequence possibly being slightly lengthy, in that I personally would have brought the title forward a little.

Music/sfx: 10/10 - for originality and how well it fit

The wow factor: 9/10 - AWESOME work Sparky, even if it was just a short movie.

TOTAL: 94% - 5 star

Kind of weird storyline. The talking kind of drags on, but the vos are great. I could hear all of them. No music, thats kind of a bummer. Like your costumes except for Berni's hair. Its for a woman not man. In other words good job.

lol "You wouldn't know intellegence if bit you in the ass", funny stuff Sparky. I liked the rainbow overlays, and the music fit nicely. Great VOs and camera work. Great film, and as Nuke said, I can't wait til the Noir comes out.

My that was an unexpected end :-) Great writing and direction is on show here as the banter of a 'native' and 'offshorer' is witnessed. There were some excellent performances from Goof,Spark and Tre with a special nod for Goof!! Nice introductary sequence with some appropriately composed material!

I look forward to your noir film sparky but until then...

Nuke Well in the Morning After!!!!
