Film Description
Hello, everyone, and welcome to the sadistic city of Happyville! In this city, bums are greatly discriminated against. Tippy, the veteran bum, had seen more murders than he can count, but luckily he has his best friend Himm at his side. However, a violent assault made by the feared 'bum killer' Ghaster Googoo leaves Tippy hungry for revenge, and he goes off on a personal vendetta to kill Ghaster. Will he succeed?

Do we care?

The Cast:
Andrew 'Night565' Steele as Tippy
thebiz as Himm as GHaster Googoo
timothy_richmond_3 as Principal Baldilen and Dippo

Mods:
Tarison's Blue Screen mod by Tarison
House Mods & 1980's Office by Dr. House
Central Station and Train by froci
Black and White Subway by Ozman89
Blood Puddle by 6-headedmonster

All music and overlays made by timothy_richmond_3.
Directed by timothy_richmond_3.

Poster made by devioussoul.

Some side notes: I'm really sorry, but the song is not perfectly in song near the end. I was to lazy to go back and correct it (gasp! it was being EXPORTED!) so it's entirely my fault.

Also, when the credits roll on, the first overlay is a bit blurred... it's a vo credit to night565, thebiz, and some stupid idiot who wears dorky glasses (me!!!). So that's entirely my fault too.

Thanks, everyone, for their critiques of the sound fx. Yes, I know it was annoying (I myself being annoyed too) but was torn between doing a lot of extra work and things. Ah, perhaps next time, who knows?

Awards:
Pariah???s Hott Stuff Award
Nominated for the GAGA Awards: Best Character (Tippy) & Best Comedy

Enjoy!

A FREDTHEDUCK REVIEW

. . . of sorts

Plot: 18/20 - That was brilliant, the plot blended perfectly with the humour, and was humourous in itself. I'd give you a thumbs up, except the forum emotes dont work in reviews. . .darn it.

Humour: 18/20 - Absolutely hilarious, although some of your jokes weren't as good as they could have been. There were a lot of great one liners though, like "oh my god! He's dead! Meh, never really liked him anyway" and "why do I get the feeling I'm about to be pushed onto the tracks?" or whatever those lines actually were. The high-pitched guy wasn't as funny as he was intended to be, but the jokes in there were enough to make me laugh more than once, so I'm satisfied. Oh, and the dancing scene was hilarious, as was that guy getting hit by that car. LOL

VOs: 11/15 - I liked thebiz's voice of gahster googoo, and the rest of the cast were good as well, but as I already mentioned, I wasnt too keen on the high pitched voice. Also, a few of the lines were slightly unclear. . . or maybe that was me.

Custom content: 9/10 - Loving your overlays, and all the mods used were cool, although i really did not understand why the black and white train station was used. . .

Editing: 14/15 - Loved your freecam, especially the dancing scene, and the guy getting run over. I did find the mouth shown a little too much though, I tend to find those useful for whispered lines mostly, but hey, to each their own, eh? Hehe, I'm pretty sure none of that made any sense, so I'll stop talking now

Music/sfx: 9/10 - "nobodys better than me". Enough said.

The wow factor: 8/10 - the faults I mentioned above are pretty much all the holes i can pick in this movie. Oh, and the screaming. Other than that - awesome

TOTAL: 89% - 5 star

"Nobody's better than me, nobody's better than me...!" lol Nice ending. And thanks for the dental tip. Will come in handy.

OK, on with the review...

Weird, to say the least. That opening conversation between Himm and Tippy was bizarre and very funny as a result. The rest of the film was good, too. I especially enjoyed the weird little dance sequence. I actually "laughed out loud" for real.

For what is undeniably a "random" comedy, it actually had a storyline, which was nice. Of course it didn't make a lot of sense, but that's OK. :)

The cheesy credits were just that: cheesy. And fit perfectly.

At the end of the day, I laughed and enjoyed this film. But it is probably a bit long for the content.

I think you have a great sense of hunmour and I look forward to what comes out next from your warped mind.

Lol.. loved that! I seriously think you should take your pills again... ;)
Loads of funny ideas, great weird music and overlays, and very good voice too, together with some inspired freecam work and editing!

Why not 5 stars then, you ask? Well, there were some things that distracted me a bit: sometimes the ingame "uh's" and "ah's" were so loud that they overpowered the voices - I would recommend to always get rid of the mumbling and ingame sound fx - I know that makes for a lot more work, but it's worth it!
Second, the car bug hit you - a thing that could have been remedied too by getting rid of game fx sounds. Third, there were some inconsistencies in actor placement in the office - when a character walks from the middle of the room towards the window with an axe and ends up face to face with another character in front of the door.... yeah, I know I'm nit-picky, but it just doesn't fit!

This is a very funny, very weird movie! Good work!

Holy cow thats a weird flick! Excellent stuff and good to see Anastasia make a suprise appearance. I was most impressed with the music, the credit overlays and the set decorations in particular scenes (the dancing worked really well) but the music really left an indelible mark on me. As usual your storyline is all over the place but it comes together nicely at the end and theres plenty of highlights to keep the ship afloat. Great job Tim!

Very clever and witty in its deliverance and writing, with a good cast set out to portray the unique characters presented in this film. Some jokes were a bit lacking in their luster, to say the least, but the most of them were right on queue, and funny to-boot.

Your ability to blend random-comedy with story plot is very impressive, and shines in this film.

A bizarre cult-comedy. I liked the overlays and music alot and some of the scenes (such as the dancing scene and the subway). Nice colourful mods too. There was some good acting as well.

But the story was just too bizarre for my taste, it went absolutely everywhere (which means nowhere to me). Random scenes inserted for the sake of it, although that is very much in keeping with the opening dialogue.

Technical goofs as well - in one scene, our hero is dancing on a ballroom floor; yet when the assassin sees him, he's dancing on grass.

The ingame sounds got in the way of the vocals on a number of occasions - it's worth editing these out by playing the whole film through with just sound effects switched on - recording the lot. Then you chop out or silence the unwanted vocalisations before putting the whole lot back into the film on a spare track. Extra work, but worth it.

Not bad overall, it had its moments (though every moment in this film was a moment of madness!).

Is this movie comic genius or just random stupididty disguised as comedy?

The Good:
Great use of freecam.
The music fit the film well.
Looks like Wierd Al meets Monty Python.
Your choiceof extras costumes added to the wackiness.

The Bad:
Some chopiness in editing. Not sure if it was intentional (part of the film comedy) or not.
The Principal's voice sounded like it was recorded inside a tin can. (was this intentional?)
The ingame sound effects bleneded with the recorded voices and sounded awkward at times. (example - guy with chipmunk voice screams at same time ingame screaming is happening -- somewhat ruined the effect of the scene)

Overall:
Not really worthy of more than 3 1/2 stars but have to round up since no 1/2 stars available.

Revenge stories are far from absent in any movies. I guess the concept of one person getting revenge on another person for wrong doing done to them never gets old. But, I never watched a movie that featured a revenge story on this level. Introducing, Welcome To Happyville, a movie where you??ll appreciate hobos more.

S t r a n g e, absolutley strange. There were some funny ideas in this movie and it was pretty cool that you were very consequent with Happyville. In all corners you see something weird things like apes in the background.

Unfortunately I found the editing to be a bit harsh sometimes, as well as the SOUND FX could have been better. For example there was the famous autobug.

I think I'd actually give you 4 stars, but as you really have a bunch of 1 stars by starkarts (if I got the whole thing right), I give you 5 stars and click those abusive buttons.

*This movie was submitted in the "Frosty's Review Thread"*

Sound Effects: 10

I thought the sounds effects were good. Though when the bum is about toi shoot the high pitched guy, the ingame FX almost drown out the VOs.

VOs: 10

The VOs were great. I thought the high pitched guy was pretty funny.

Music: 10

I liked the music. And considering you made it yourself,it's very wqell done. It fit the movie perfectly.

Freecam: 10

The free cam was very good. You've used it very well to make establishing shots.

Story: 10

The story was solid, made sense, and was esay to follow.

Additional Comments:

My favorite part of the movie was the dialogue between Tippy and Himm. I thought that the randomeness there was very funny, and it made me laugh.

Overall Score: 50/50

Now i am not a big fan of random humour of this nature, but i thought what you have done here is generally very good. Rather than just string together an incoherent sequence of scenes or clips, you have created your own unique world (which judging by this movie, you must have spent some time in yourself) and developed a plot - of sorts.

Vos and music was nice, well preformed and selected. Overlays worked well too. Editing was good for the most part but a few inconsistencies were distracting as were the character laughs and groans. Free cam was nice especially in dancing scene - worked really well.

I did feel it went on a bit longer than was needed for the plot but i'm sure all the scenes had a reason (in your head) for their existence.

Overall a very enjoyable and very odd movie that is well thought out and well constructed.

cheers

funny, poignant, excellent! don't pay attention to the ninja's, they are just losers from UN-happyville. the same bozo just knocked my movie out of 2nd place with his lame trailer that got 10 5-star reviews in 20 minutes, all mysteriously from non-studio-owning reviewers. so, here's 5-stars for you, to make up for it.

OMG! I can't believe what i have just seen! That was the funniest stuff i have seen in a long time. I have gone red now after watching your movie as i was laughing out loud constantly and belly laughing a lot!!
The jokes were very clever and very well executed. The cast was excellent.
Really spot on. I was very impressed by them. They all acted beautifully.
The music really added to this film and made it very enjoyable as it was very wacky and suited this film very well. I found the story to be great.
Well done. I loved the bit at the end. "Nobody's better than me, Nobody's better than me!!!!!! ROFL! LOL ending!!! Great job dude!!!!
Everything about this movie was great, except for one thing which put it down a bit, the in-game moans, i'll talk about that soon.
I especially loved the way the film was wrapped up at the end.
HEHEHEHE! LOL!!!!!
Overall: A very, very good and enjoyable comedy. The length was perfect here, i do admit it was pretty much flawless except for the in-game groans/moans which came up a bit in the film. They were annoying. That's the only thing i can say negative about the film. Next time when you're finishing off a film, take out the in-game sound-effects to get rid of the groans/moans.
As people have stated in their reviews, it does make a world of difference, believe me, it does.
Despite that being quite annoying, i'm not going to mark you down [1 less star] for that as this film was very funny, had a good effort so, this film is a 4.7/5 for me. Well done. Definelty a very original and unique film.
Probably the best comedy on the site atm. Well done dude!
Looking forward to what you release next.
Would love it if you could do a sequel to this. I see it going some-where.
An amazing film.

Well that was odd! But pretty funny. Loved the credit style and the music.
Loved the conversation in the school ?? "no kneecaps born in March" made me laugh a lot for some reason.
Some nice camerawork and I really liked the dance sequence!
Just a little too long I felt, and turn off the in game FX; really annoying to my ear.

Oh, golly, that was the funniest movie I've seen on here in a while! I loved the scnes where Tippy and Himm were running around the subway, and all the random scenes were everywhere. It was kind of dark in some places; there were a little too many shootings that felt odd in such a funny movie, but all in all it worked! The end of movie recap with the "where are they now" style wrap-up was a nice and unexpected touch, too. Good job with the mods, acting and freecam, and 5 stars!

This is one of the few genius comedies that deserve a spot in at least the TMO charts in a range of 1-20. Here's the grade:

Story-5. You managed to wrangle bums, assassination plots, the middle east, the mentally retarded, and homocidal principals into one movie. Very well done.

VOs/Dialogue-5. You coupled great dialogue with a great story for a comedy. Very well done

Music/SFX-5. A great original score, coupled with the perfect VOs and story, lead the music/SFX score with a 5. Very well done.

In short, you get a 5-star rating. Very well done, keep up the good work. Film On!

Could you rate my movie 'Ugly Angst'? Thanks.
