Film Description
Just a little movie I put together in 5 hours. No Voice overs - It's just a story about a sad girl.

*Note* I don't really care for anybody's opinion - nor do I need any honest reviews telling me how to improve my movies. I just make films to entertain,..nothing more. I already realize how crappy my films are. So please don't be patronizing. Thanks!!

GREETINGS FROM L.M.A.O. STUDIOS!

Unique and deep.

The use of images to tell the story is beyond original, its elite film making.

Very kick ass film Riott. (5 hours or not)

Absolutely beautiful, the sound, the effects, the music, the mods, all brilliant. I must say though that the sound effect for the gun could of been a little more louder, lol, well done.

Also just a little reminder over one of your comments you posted on "Wicked Biscuits" and you stated in a kind rhetoric way "julianallees=retard?" well the answer is no I am no, it is called constructed critisism (It helps people to be potentially forethoughted towards their workpieces). Anyway I am sure it was just some kind of misunderstanding?

Well done, a great film, I really love these kind of "mystic" non - story line played films where there are no VoiceOvers, just images, well done; LOVED THE MODS!!

Yours truly,

I feel really sorry for her.

I hope this wasn't how you were feeling in real life when you made the film. If it was, I hope you feel better now.

A very short movie but definately a unique movie. Its a silent movie, i myself do a lot of silent films, so i am a fan.
Unique and strange. It would benefit in being a bit longer so i give half a star off. 4.5 rounding up =5
Well done Riott
Film on!

You show great promise! OK, OK, easy... I am kidding. I came by this from TheBiz's thread of Movies worth seeing and he was right. I loved the split screen overlay effect and the non verbal story was told in effective fashion. This was something a little different I wouldn't have expected from you...or maybe I would should have as a comedy film maker with some somber tales to tell. Maybe some day.

I know exactly what you meant about patronizing reviews. I have had more then a few of those.

A definite change of pace for Riott. And done very well.

The Good:
The story -- you didn't need words to explain this one.
The music -- fit the scenes well.
The overlays -- great effects. Reminded me of the 'captioning for the hearing impaired' thing they used to put on some PBS tv shows. Great!
The Mods -- well used.

The Bad:
Too short.

Overall:
A really impressive attempt at serious filmmaking from you. Great Job.

The name is programme. I really think this is something worth of 5 stars. Sure, it's short, but it's about the moments. 1:40 I sat back and watched it with big eyes. Thrilling soundtrack, great idea of overlays and an interesting and adventours idea. It totally pays off!

*****MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!*****

You did that in only five hours!? Wow.
A serious movie by Riott007?! This should be interesting!

And what a pleasant surprise this was! I was a bit wary when I noticed you had decided to stray away from you typical offensively-comedic productions. I am impressed with what I've just seen!

Technically speaking, the movie was flawless! The music was great. The absence of VO's/dialogue really made the character seem insignificant to the world. This was reflected by the dark mood you have portrayed in this film. One can really sympathize with this characters sense of worthlessness. The use of overlays in this movie complimented the mood nicely. They gave the viewer an almost claustrophobic, and hopeless feel. One can really feel sorry for the nameless heroine of this little flick, as we watch her life careen out of control in an extremely short amount of time.

All in all, this is a dark and dramatic little story ultimately depicting the causes and consequences of self destruction and lost love. You conveyed you message/stroy in a way that was short, simple, and to the point. I liked it, and I am looking forward to your future releases!

Music: + (Fitting)
Story: + (Simple and short)
Atmosphere: +++++++++++++ (Amazing!)
Vo's: + (Weren't needed)
Editing: + (Clean)

This earns a very well deserved 5 stars from me! :)

Riott very nicely done. The overlays were awesome as was the music a very short but to the point movie. Completely understandable without even a word being spoken I'm sure almost any one can relate to this movie Great job

I won't be terribly critical like you ask. Good music, unique usage of overlays and pictures. But it was short and didn't amount to much, especially when so much needs explaining. 4 stars.

Well I won't abide by your request to not give you an honest review (well the first part anyway), but I can't see how this could be improved for the record.
A short movie packed with impending emotion. The way the overlays blend with the images (they enhance the Mise en scene incredibly well) and the music builds up to the ultimate climax. You've successfully created a gem of an Avant Garde TMO classic. The only thing I would say is this movie isn't necessarily about entertainment, it is about emotion, expression and feeling. These three things are much harder to capture and this transcends entertainment and became art (at least for me). I hope to see this do really well for a long time as this is a movie that most of TMO could learn from.

Nice job Riott, loved the hynotic music, was that Norrie? Also the polaroids worked so well at showing two streams of thought as one.
Short and deadly.

No worries riott...I won't leave any comments on how to improve lol but I do think you have a great voice and I missed it in this movie,so now you can hate my opinion and this review all you like haha!;-)

Excuse me, but I don't believe I gave you permission to film and to distribute the tragedy of my 5th wife on TMO. Now, I have to relive all of those terrible memories again. Oh, the pain!

You've got a serious drinking problem.... your bottle missed the glass entirely!! All that good alcohol gone to waste! ;)

On a more serious note... Nicely done, Riott. Overlays were unique - I like that. Story was sad and well told in the short amount of time (which I think is particularly hard to do -especially with no VOs-, and you did it well).

Nice one.

What I'm not allowed to tell you how utterly rubish I thought that to be, and how it could be saved to become the next masterpiece after Doc Zhivago?
Darn, way to go to spoil my fun... grrr.

Anyways, great visual concept.
Needs just a little more work, you could have... see, I just can't let go. :)

I'm not allowed to say anything. For instance, the fact that it took only 5 hours to make, or that death plays a significant part in this vignette. I probably couldn't mention that it reminded me of Peter Greenaway's films either, because that would be a type of compliment, which you might consider as patronizing. Anyway - I wish I had made this flick instead of you, but I might've 'f'ed it up by adding too much. Thanks for this flick to add to my collection. Necrophillic chills...

I know you said not too, but I'm going to leave an honest review.
Sorry.

anyways...

Wow. That was one bizzare trip through a saddening story. I never thought I'd see you come out with a serious movie, especially one not telling TMO to fudge off. But you came out with this, and it sure was a suprise.
I totally dug the overlays. Especially that little thought corner thingie. Really added to the unique-ness.
Also the music was surreal and fit the mood of the movie. I'd love it if you could email it to me or something.
Nice job on making a non-comedy. You should expand and make some more serious ones, because this one sure was cool.

Wow Riott.. That was well done with no need for any VO's or subs, the visuals carried the story all the way. Those overlays were cool, especially the little thought/memory box in the corner. Top Job.
