Film Description
This is the second part of Law of the West. The first can be viewed here: Law of the West was intended as a single film, but technical difficulties made that effectively impossible.

That said, sorry for the delay in getting these up. I blame technology and its various bugs. The first time the complete film was uploaded, it had fallen victim to the infamous "Devil's Bookmark" synchronization bug, resulting in most of the movie sounding like that scene from Singin' in the Rain. "No, no, no!" "Yes, yes, yes!" Oh well. At least it's all fixed now, and finally, finally all done and released. First off: the summary:

A lone cowboy wandered into a small town. He came for a drink, and a place to stay the night. Instead, he found his past. Will he avenge his father's death, or will justice and right be defeated? Find out in Law of the West.

Cast: MefuneAkira........Charles Law
Jase180..................Sheriff Jim Topper
Cruise1970...............Harold Slade
SnakeEater42.............Jacob Law
GoofParade...............Deputy Paul Short
Drucifer67...............Elias Rucker

It's here! Finally! This Western of mine has been in the making for a very long time, and now it's finally finished. Whew! And now for: thanking people. Thanks a lot to everyone who helped me make this movie possible. Thanks especially to the excellent cast who were willing to do voice-oers for me. These people are about as good as it gets on TMO, folks.

Thanks as well to DarthDirector for helping me out with some of the dialogue (some other people were good enough to help me out with it as well, but I've lost their names, sorry). Also thanks to anyone who auditioned for a part, such as AnotherNewDawn, FlatEarth, and others.

Thank you all for putting up with the various problems and delays, and I hope you enjoy the film!

Pretty much everything I said in the first review applies to this one. Although the lack of sound effects wasn't so obvious this time around.

I did, however, laugh at one point. Sorry, but when he said "How bad is it?" while standing up... oh dear, that made me chuckle. Couldn't have been that bad!!! lol

Moving right along... A very adequate western. Did everything I expect from a western, and did it well. Not perfect, not terribly original. But good nonetheless.

Well done.

Happy to have been in it, DG7 really made a nice classic western and did so with a solid story and delivered a film I think is just classic from frame one. If you ever watch these on the Western Channel, you'll know what I mean.

A great second part to a fun western!

I feel lke a jerk for no reviewing this earlier, but our production....well who cares the reason. lol

THE GOOD: Fun dialog in a western setting is the true enjoyment of this movie. Great cinematography, crips editing and face paced story flow is what make this film a MUST SEE!

THE BAD: Lack of background sound and dialog recording polishing is the only flaws I can notice.

Overall, an exellent western with the classic revenge plot. Darth is a true artist!

A very well produced Western. Over the two episodes, it didn't do too much that was new - but it serves as a valuable role model for how to produce a quality unmodded generic Western using "The Movies".

Once again - the lack of sound design hurts the film, but the excellent performances more than make up for it.

A good second part and ending to this story. After a long build up in part 1, i thought part 2 wrapped things up a little too quickly. I would have liked to found out more of a back story to Slade. I think it's important that the audience hate him as much as the characters in the film clearly do, but i feel that could have been more effectively portrayed. I'm not going to go over old ground from my part 1 review, over all this is a solid movie with great VA's I think the only let downs were slightly choppy editing, choice of music and parts of the pot a little rushed.
I very much enjoyed the movie and it is refreshing to see a well made Western.

Script: 4 stars; Nice ending, but again nothing particularly original, new, or unseen. Again the lines are nicely done, although the voice of the protagonist after he's being shot should have been a little less "brilliant," if you know what I mean.

Editing: 5 stars; Again, everything here was done nicely, although there was a bad transition going for the duel scene.

Music & SFX: 3 stars; A little better on this part with the music, but again so many scenes that lost "pathos" for its lack, together with that of SFXs. You should put more time on getting timing perfectly with certain events in the scenes. For example the sudden stop of music at the shot made to Charles, it was done a little too early. The unfortunate thing with music is that the slightest mistake is greatly heard and noticed.

Overall a nice and very enjoyable (and enjoyed) movie. Keep up the work and work on a more original script. Get some help with the music if you don't think you can handle it, some people just don't have it (no offense intended, just being realist). You do have a great talent for lines, so that is a plus, as not many people can get that quite right all the time.

Reviewing part 'A' and 'B' as one film.
Nice western, good solid story and great visuals. Acting was well done with a few noisy VOs, but not to worry. My only problem was some of the music didn't match, to me, the western theme of the movie.

The perfect ending to the perfect film!

What was good:
I loved the twist at the end.

What was bad:
Driving force - There really is no driving thrill to this film, BUT it is still a one of a kind masterpiece!

WONDERFUL JOB!!! You should be very proud of yourself!

This goes on the Must See List!

Fantastic, absolutly fantastic. Its great to see a character driven western come to such a thrilling end. Written really well, the voice actors were superb.

You have a great skill in editing within this game (or should I call it software). The pace is just right accross the two parts and it really is great too see something like this come to fruition.

You and your cast should all give yourselves pats on the back. Well done!

A thrilling character driven Western that is superb on all accounts! Wonderful script and direction and the voice acting is of the highest caliber! A clean hard Law of the West ending that satisfies to the fullest. Perfection in the vein of George Steven, John Ford, and Howard Hawks. A classic TMO Movie that earns the MGM Golden Seal of Approval!

Wonderful story that contains both action and drama with perfect written dialog. Music was wonderfully chosen for the scene. A perfectly set pace for the film without missing any story detail. Even with the film totaling 20 minutes at no time was I ever bored or did my mind wonder from the film. The strength of the film is the story (As well it should be) and wonderful written dialog... Law of the West is definitely one of the best western films... I'll be looking out for future films by your studio....

Watching Law of the West A & B back to back was a joy for me as I enjoyed the first part so much I went straight onto the second. In essence this is one big film and It felt as though the A & B transission was effortless as it should have. I loved the story and pace, you did a phenominal job with casting appropriate voices for the roles which is what I always appreciate Directors like yourself doing.

Overall a highly enjoyable film that shouldn't be missed by fans of TMO!

Congratulations and

Nuke Well in the West Forever!!!
