Note:the movie title at the end that says "moviee" was because I uploaded the same movie with that title to test how it looks like on screen.so the word "moviee" was to help make it separate title and I couldn't think of another name to replace that. Also some scenes with mistakes where the actor open their eyes then closed was unfixable,so some of them I used "slide in" and "slide out" option so it wasn't as noticeable but you could still see a little bit of blinking eyes.

A FREDTHEDUCK REVIEW

Plot: 18/20 - I really enjoyed that plot, and if it had been down to me to make it, it would have been about 5 minutes shorter, because I am not as good at those excellent camera angles you used, and so don't use them a much. It is because I am useless with them that I love them so much. Anyways, the only problem I could spot with the plot was that it ended too abrubtly. You get less than a second to see the last scene, and then its gone. In keeping with the "artistic" theme, I would have watched that ambulance go down the road, and then it suddenly becomes a static overlay, all the colour runs from it, making it a black and white image, and then it would slowly fade out, an overlay effect I am sure you are capable of, and that would have really made the movie all the more emotional. Still, I absolutely loved that plot, and it has inspired me to make a movie in a similar style. THAT is the sort of thing I like to get from a movie, and this one supplies it.

Originality: 5/5 - It was because I had never seen another movie in a similar style to this that I was interested in it i the first place. Brilliant job.

Predictability: 11/15 - when watching your life flash by, there really is not a lot to predict, so I can't really give you a higher mark here, as much as I want to. However, watching those two people walk away was a small twist in itself, as was the final outcome of the movie. All in all, this movie was too artistic to be predictable or not predictable.

VOs: 14/15 (not including my role) IF I included my VOs into the judgng of tis movie, I would mark it down to 9/15 because that one line was too loud and bloody awful. Then again, I don't like listening to my own voice, which is why I don't take my role into the judging. I LOVED the female voiceovers in this movie, especially Wendy's character, whose performance did all but bring a tear to my eye. It was phenomenally good. HOWEVER. A few of Orky's lines were a little quiet, and I had to turn the volume way, way up on my computer in order to hear them properly. THis is not your fault, but it is easy to fix if you just amplify them in audacity. I still stand by my praise for kisses ofrain, who played wendy though. She was exceptional in this. K4 also played his role well, and he really convinced me that he was actually drunk.

Custom content: 7/10 - Well, I saw one or two new things there. I did not recognise the ground he was lying on, but everything else other than titles, I recgonised. 6HM's blood puddle has been used to death, and even though it is a great mod, it doesn't look too fresh. However, it added to the movie, so I won't mark you down for it. I could also have offered you, if you were interested, logos for the hooded tops you used. One for the royal members, and one for the guardians, to add to the custom content list. I would happily create logos for tshirts for you for anything in the future, so if you need anything, don't be afraid to ask.

Editing: 13/15 - Superb editing, but again, that last scene was not on for long enough.

Music/sfx: 7/10 - AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! The INGAME MUSIC! *head explodes* If there is anything that I have heard, more than anything else in movies, it is the defasult music. However, it was used well, and I admire you for getting away with it. =P Next time, take a trip over to Jamendo (www.jamendo.com), and pull out some stuff with a license for commercial use. There is a lot of it, and it is nearly all superb. And onto Sound Effects. i LOVED the thunder you used, over and over. It was brilliant, and really added to the movie.

The wow factor: 8/10 - Probably should have been higher, but what do I know? =P Clearly a great amount of effort went into this, but I was put off at the Chrome Virus intro.

TOTAL: 83% - 5 star

My my. You really had me gripped with this one. Trying to control my emotion as I truly hoped that someone would help and somehow knowing they probably wouldn't.
This movie was very well written, with an incredibly dark and opressive atmosphere that was perfectly portrayed and carried with the good choice in music.
The camerawork succeeded in creating a disorientated feel, how it is confusing for michael to understand his situation.
A real meaning was apparent throughout this production and was brought out distinctly by your great selection of talented VAs, who all put in impressive, believable performances.
Congrats!

This film is truly touching. We see Michael's struggle as he goes through his life, what he wanted to do and his regrets. All the while there is a seeming hopelessness and pure loneliness to it that is truly memberable, and yet a small hope there. The story was just all around great, and you did a spectacular job at filming it.

I especially loved the music you used for this; it went wonderfully well with what was being played on-screen even if some of it was just default music that came with the game. The VO's were all wonderful, but I especially liked Wendy's VA. I've never heard of Kissesofrain before but whoever she is she's definitely a talented actress that hopefully will appear in more films in the future!

Now I have only two small qualms with this movie: One, sometimes the music and sound effects went a little too loud to hear what the VA's were saying, and two, I thought the end was very abrupt.

Never the less, a wonderful job, all around. A definite five stars.

This movie reminds me of the fact everybody seems to recognize,..."It takes more character, courage, and strength to do good and to be yourself than it does to be in a gang, for a gang purely consists of cowards." The tone and the truth of this movie were very well presented! It was so lonely, empty, futile, and full of fear. ===K4===

Oh my God, How touching. "I am not a royal anymore, I'm myself." Those words are a symbol of individuality. /

That was interesting, although the ending was kinda drab. Good luck man.

This doesn't work because of a bad case of miscasting.

"I want to finish school, go to college, get a degree etc."

delivered by someone who can't be a day younger than 35 (like me as of yesterday!)

Somebody younger needed to be cast in that crucial role.

However, I like the anti-gang message of the film. Some good imagery and music too.

Also - the female actress was excellent.

It's really a case of an unbelievable lead character that let this film down.

Story: 4 stars; Good originality on a topic very much used in "gangster" type movies. Characterization was well done, in for the secondary ones. The plot had a good development from the beginning of "what's going on" to the end where it leaves the audience as final judge to the different possibilities. Open endings are very attractive, especially in this type of movies (though personally I rather have the whole thing spread in front of my eyes). Also, there was a good factor, I don't know if intentional or not, of today's problematics. By this I mean the case of the drunkard and the runaway kids. The only flaw in this section was that few memories were a bit confusing, although I believe it could have been on purpose.

Editing: 5 stars; Very good on the editing side, flawless and with good timing on all but one scene changes, which was a bit too "abrut." Nice transitions from scene to scene also, there where no bad gaps among them. Last good words go to the bordering in the "thoughts" scenes.

Music & SFX: 3 stars; The timing on scene/action changes was good only a couple times, unfortunately. The selection was good but in two scenes where I didn't think it fitted all too well. Voice overs where really good, although the protagonist should have differed the voice making the distinction stronger between normal speech and thought. Sound effects where good in some part, and inexistent in other, like the beginning when the main character is being hit. Major error I found was in the house, where the piano volume was too loud respect to the voices. It might have been a party, but a far piano by itself can't be that loud. (I'm a musician, so I rate this part closely enough;))

I tried being as objective as I could, please feel free to contact me for any doubts.

An interesting idea and very well produced. A very stylish and intense movie with some nice efects and cam work (particularly like the flash back puddle.
The movie brings to light some very intersting social issues about how we percieve people and situations and how we react to them even if it is wrong.

The plot was fairly basic but this is not necessarily a bad thing as what you did with it was very good.
Sound and music for the most part was very good. Music did stop and start a bit suddenly and a few scenes would have benifited from no music i think. Vo's were ok but seemed more 'read' than acted and this kinda took away from the feel of the movie abit.

Editing, sets, secen selection were all excellent but there were too many fade ins and outs (and some were far too quick near the begining) for my liking. I found them a bit distracting in places.
Overall i really liked what you have done with this movie. A very strong 4 stars.

cheers

A decent attempt at a wonderful idea!

What was good:
The idea was SO original for TMO. It was perfect.
The storytelling was pretty darn good.
Music was ok.
Freecam was great.
Overlays looked good.

What was bad:
Dialogue - In most cases, the dialogue was either cheesy, boring, or unrealistic. There was so good dialogue though.

Voice Acting - Some of the actors didn't seem to act. They delivered some of thier lines about the opposite of what you would expect. The main character did great though!

Sound Quality - The sounds were all over the board. Especially voice overs. Some were too soft and then a loud one chimes in. Try using the program: Audacity, to amplify the soft vo's and soften the LOUD vo's.

Overlays - While they looked good, and brought a nice artistic touch to the film, I felt they made the film too dark. Sometimes it felt like we were looking at plain black. I know this was to create the dying effect, but it was a tad annoying at times.

Overall:
I enjoyed this film. It shows you are improving as a moviemaker. Keep this up and you will have a chart topping masterpiece in NO TIME!!! This will be mentioned, but not placed on the Must See List.

I liked it much better than the trailer might have suggested. It was difficult to relate to the hero for the first half of the film, but he emerged more human later on. The scene cutting and transitions were great. The voice overs were not only numerous but mostly appropriate. The plot carried through the entire film without dragging. The music varied more than the rest of film but generally held up too. Great job.

Story- 22/25: That movie was pretty good. It was sad too. It got boring at some times but I still liked it. Great Job!

Music- 13/15: The music was pretty good most of the time, but I didn't like when you but the baggage boy music in there. Also the music seemed to come on to quick some times. But great job anyway.

VO's/Subs- 10/10: Great job on the VO's! I'm glad you had many VA's and I'm glad you even had VO's. Great Job!

Script- 24/25: It seems like you had a well thought out script. I can see you knew what you were doing.

Mods- 5/5: There were a lot of great mods in this movie. Good Job!

Editing/Freecam- 20/20: I think you did a great job editing and great use of freecam. Also you had great sound FX and I liked your overlays. Great Job!

Score- 94/100

I really enjoyed your movie. You did a great job!

You've certainly proved yourself as a competant filmmaker with this one, nipples. The script was very gripping and original, told wonderfully by your VAs. I really think you've unearthed great talent in your female lead, we can always do with another new female VA. In the end, I thoroughly enjoyed myself while watching, great job!
