that was one of the best vo's i've heard on tmo.
(mind you, i almost dinged you for that horrible bit about k4's wardrobe in the end credits. you obviously did some research on twain, so you should know he would never make something as crude as a yo mama joke.) but i couldn't do it, the rest of the movie was brilliant, so i'll let you get away with it.
if you ever come out of retirement, please pm me, i have lots of work coming up.

***The Ultimate Judge***

This is one hilarious monologue. I cracked up at nearly every punchline. It actually felt as if I was watching someone onstage preforming in front of a live audience. That is good atmospheric work, K4. The story was well progressed and hilarious at that. I don't believe there was a single weak point.

Overall, a wonderful and hilarious treat of film craft. Excellent job, K4.

Brilliant! Once again K4 shows what a great talent he has as an actor, director and filmaker. One of my favorite quotes from Mr. T is about my home town. "I once spent the coldest winter of my life one summer in San Francisco." And he was right.
A wonderful and truly funny film!

K4 I don't know what to say except that is one of the best things I've ever seen on TMO. This was simply brilliant. It felt as though you capture Mr. Clemmons spirit in both your dialogue and your acting. Simply put I just loved this work and have the utmost respect for your abilities as a writer and an actor.

Great, great voiceacting, K4 - it's always a joy to listen to your many voices! I laughed a lot! Loved the audience sounds - they sounded very real and natural, and you had nice cam angles there!
Great work!

nice entry, a little different from what most are doing, and that's alright by me. Why an 80's suit? well, only K4 can answer that. :D

What a brilliantly written monologue! It actually captured the spirit and wit of Mark Twain so well I could actually picture him being there on stage--in fact, I didn't have to picture him since I was truly watching him live and in the flesh. Top that off with an astounding performance by K4 (I know of only one other VA with such versatility!) and you have a TMO classic. Lastly, I genuinely laughed my head off at some of these clever witticisms.

Simply delicious - I always knew Twain was a great orator, so it really doesn't come as any surprise to discover he's also great at stand-up comedy. :o)
Seamless VO, a great script, and you've even managed to get a good likeness of him too - nice work k4.

Around 20 years ago, I actually saw Hal Holbrook in person performing as Mark Twain here in the Bay Area, and was later fortunate enough to sing, dance, and act myself on that very same stage, in multiple roles in "Scrooge" (yes, I am that lucky).

I had a great time at Holbrook's show, listening to Twain's worldly and wise words, and came into K4's "Tonight with Mark Twain" with high hopes and high expectations.

I am NOT disappointed - K4 has captured the tone, pacing and good-natured, down-to-earth observational humor of Twain in fine fashion. Bravo, friend K - your work is excellent, as always, and you're still one of the top three VO's on The Movies, without a doubt.

I'll be in the front row of your next production, too - count on it.

Truly a unique movie that shines because of the talented and realistic voiceover work, complete with audience! Excellent direction is just the icing on the cake.

That was a stellar performance of some great Mark Twain material. Hal Holbrook would be envious. The audience sounds helped to convey a true-like stage performance. The sound qualiy was impeccable.

I only have one question. Why does your director wear hypno goggles?

I've always admired Mark Twain's wit.
I would love to somehow have the opportunity to travel back in time to attend one of his travelling lecture tour shows...but I will have to be happy with your lecture here...and in all honesty I think you've done a splendid job in re-creating the feeling of being there with your excellent VO work:-)
Well done.I really enjoyed this:-)

I love stand-up.
And not only are you an excellent actor,
but you can also do stand-up comedy like a pro!
Great entry, good luck with it!

Haha, That was good. Once again, your voice overs are flawless. Good Work!! I had a few good laughs in there myself. :)

Like the public transport system, you wait ages for a bus to come along and two arrive at the same time (I've just seen the Conquest movie). I loved the simplicity of this. The strength here is very much the script and wonderful delivery of it. The black background works well and some subtle freecam hides the repetitive nature of some of the games scenes. I was chuckling away at this and I'd love to see/hear more of this style from you.

Posted on August 4, 2007

Very impressive directing skills K4!! you are the daddy indeed! I thought your use of free-cam was very interesting and the VO's were outstanding. Great Stuff!

Nuke Well with Mark Train!

Really nice portrayal of the well known character Mark er.. Train.
YOur voice suits this just perfectly and I like the way you modulated it to be a bit more gravely, and the accent is just perfect too.
Kinda reminded me a bit of the style that Will Rogers used way back in the day.

Well done.. maybe you should make a series of this?

I think your voiceover in this, k4, was absolutely incredible. I knew you were a funny guy, but never realized you were this funny. =P

I am really happy that this movie came out so good. It's one of the first I've seen you upload (I think) and although there wasn't any set changes or costume changes, your freecam work was great! You really spiced up a "stand up" show that normally only allows for a few different static shots.

I knew you were a great VA, I've always known you were an awesome dude, but I just found out you were a modder, and now.... I find out you're an excellent director?

What next K4, what next?!

Five stars with an encore attached.

Again, K4 shows us all his VO diversity. I tell you, if you had never put your name on your movies K4, i would never even know it was you.

Some pretty spiffy camera work gives the illusion that Mark Train is isolated on a dark stage while entertaining an audience. Also, some well written comedic dialogue pulled laughs out of me andd i was ready for 10 minutes of this. It was very entertaining, and it was obvious that you enjoy your VO work.

Excellent Job!
