The only thing this film is missing is Rod Serling, smoke in hand, telling us about a little place we might call "The Twilight Zone". This was a really clever tale that has a nice reveal. Madness and depth, this is a twisted little story that does a great job of delivering a solid pay off. Well Voiced and written, it runs smoothly along and says so much in such a little time. Very smartly shot. I must say that I expected something else and then got hit with the ending. Wow.

Who says narration doesnt work. This it part Edger Allen Poe part Twilight Zone, and I love that kinda story. Nice work. very nice work.

5 stars because they dont have 6.

Suffice it to say that this was a brilliant twist on an old notion and proof that Sisch is a strong and imaginative writer who isn't afraid to think outside of the box and stretch her writing wings.

Dark and lovely.

A good psychological thriller presented in an interesting first person narrative with excerpts from conversations presented. Dark, eerie and chilling. the viewer is presented with images and sounds which also fosters the imagination in the audience until the ending.

Great camera work as always. The focus on the unseen which is the major plot vehicle for this story can also be a detraction as the viewer is given a large amount of room shots.

Spoken in first person, this film is all about atmosphere. Very good acting and sound design insure that this film feels disturbing with ne'er a severed head in sight!

This film is definitely one that should be watched and appreciated.

Excellent construction and build up of this movie. The free-cam shots are superb giving this a very atmospheric feeling. Good use of mods, music and sound effects. Superbly voiced and really well written.

Wow, what a built up of tension.
Never quite sure what to make from the tone of the voice:
sanity or insanity ?
Although nothing really happens, that voice drags you in
and there is a need to know where it leeds.
There is a lot of atmosphere or mood here, dark and menacing
with the slow pans, heavy rain and night shots
and the most fitting music.
But above all a great story.
Human downfall always seems to allow for more gripping movies.
Love it ! Great work :)

How did I miss this one? Thank goodness norrie recommended it as a showcase for his movie scoring ability or I might have missed it entirely. An absolutely brilliant example of subtle and genuine horror through the use of mood rather than a lot of cheap shocks. Bravo!

A pure masterpiece.

A soft, yet terrifying horror film, which gave me a fright at the end, with the fast and rather dramatic shots, well done.

I really enjoyed your use of freecam as it worked rather well for setting the mood and atmosphere of this film, i really enjoyed this film, and i think this is one of the best Horror/thriller's i've seen on TMO yet!

Well done and FILM ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

am i the only person who thought this movie was insanly WIERD?
it was awesome though.

I LOVED the directing. It reminded me of a Stanly Kubrick film. With the straight on shots of people talking, and the other camera angles and stuff...

It was a sweet movie with a killer twist at the end...
...
...
no pun intended.

A slow dark splendor that creeps up on the viewer after lulling them into an imaginative tale. Well performed and crafted. There is no reason "Wolves" shoudn't lair high on the charts.

Well, almost everybody seems to love this movie. Why didn't I? *!spoilers*
A movie that consists of one monologue and the same pictures of one room over and over. Right, it has to be the one room, but some more different angles can avoid the bed and yes, the monologue is broken by the statements of the two friends, but those are rather disturbing the atmosphere, because the rain sound has to stop. I wasn't really drawn in like some felt. The narrators condition becomes clear latest when she tells about the eavesdropping and then the ending, while I have to admit presented very nicely, is not that shocking anymore. This review sounds way to harsh anyway since I did not dislike the movie, however I don't love it either.

Now that was chillingly wonderful! In the vein of Edgar Alan Poe it had me scared, really scared because like all great horror films you made my imagination do all the work. And the imagination is so much more powerful in creating monsters than pure visuals can be. The use of sound was brilliant in building suspense and terror. I loved the entire experience.

A very impressive short film by Sisch. I liked the use of the camera and the in-the-shadows feel to the movie. The narration was very well done and added a lot of uncertainty to what exactly was going on from the viewers perspective. The music also added to the dark and mysterious mood and the sound effects added even more(Though at times their placement was a bit generic). There should definitly be more of this type of movie on TMO. Great work Sisch.

That was more along the lines of a poetic narrative, which is cool, you don't see the forums get flooded with those. It was a peaceful, mellow film, but it lacked something to draw the viewer in, in the begining, the rainy overlay was a cool effect, but not enough to keep a viewer watching. It was a great film, I have always wanted to do something similiar to this, but not quite this. Great film, altogether, though. 4 stars.

Wow, fascinating movie.
I would call it an artistic masterpiece but I don't like that expression, artistic that is, not masterpiece.

However, awesome use of camera (you must have a lot of patience when it comes to use freecam :p) and a atmosphere that is best described as haunting make this a memorable experience.

I loved the atmosphere you infused this piece with. Good use of music and new modwork as well. Even though I saw the ending coming, I enjoyed your use of the wolves metaphor throughout (even in the title). I especially appreciated your use of sound rather than visuals when presenting the wolves--somehow it kept it more menacing just knowing they were there, but not being able to see them.

A shocking, sensuous, staggeringly beautiful poetic suspense thriller, Wolves mixes all sorts of elements into a surreal, nightmarish depiction of domestic malaise and mental dementia. Rich with metaphors, beautifully crafted, and featuring some of the most riveting voice performances in recent memory, this movie is pure cinema magic. Visually sumptuous and intricately designed, this is one movie I will not soon forget.

What a wonderful dark movie you've created here Sisch! :)
The story is very orginal and from the title I've expected just another werewolf movie with a twist. But I've never expected this little masterpiece. :)

Not quite what was expecting but haunting and excellent nonetheless. An adult spin on Munchausens Syndrome by Proxy combined with elements of Agoraphobia and Social phobia catalystically emerging in the Schizophrenic symptomatic of the Wolves. Some wonderful words blend and flow with the freecam and music. At times I felt like I was in an hypnotists chair being put into a deep sleep. The sleep then represented itself as a repressed nightmare. All in all this is a big welcome from me into the darkside.

You got a beautiful voice sisch but even with the volume up it was still a bit hard to understand some lines but you sounded great. From the reviews i read i exspected more but it was good, more drama like with horror theme, but done well. The lack of violence was a little dissapointing and i didn't get a fearish atmosphere but i liked the music. I can't decrease a star for the above reasons for the fact it was superbly done even with the couple small details i mentioned.

That was a rather hypnotic experience and that's not just the booze talking.
Your voice had a soothing... mesmerising quality that nearly sent me into a freaking trance. :)
Music by Norrie worked very well.Droning and repeating it played it's part in the quasi-mesmerisation process. The opening segment with the Cello and Tympani was great.I like the way you used two notes as the backbone(tonic, b7) adding harmony as you go along.

Speaking of great rest of the cast was spot on the money.
Once again we see why we need A_N_D back in the fold on TMO. Riott is a riot as always.

congrats Sisch for a captivating movie!

Brilliantly Narrated and Executed Well. I thought your cinematography for this was truly unique with some fantastic angles and luring free-cam pans. In some instances less is more and this is certainly the case with this film. You manage to provide a very thin line between tranquilitty and suspense with the ability and skill to adapt and change from one to another. Norrie's score accompanied this movie well and pretty much went hand in hand creating a fusion of captivation poetry.

All in all this is a must see for any TMO who can see beyond reality, well done Sisch!

Eerie and disturbing, in the most poetic sense. Your sultry voice lured me into this story from the very beginning, as i seemingly watched the narrator spiral into madness.

Your VO's were top-notch. As was your direction. The writing was excellent, the editing was perfectly timed, and your use of free-cam was something to be envied.
