Film Description
A mighty modding effort put forth by myself & Monkeybiz has begun to bear fruit.
This is a preview, a tiny preview, of things to come.
It may be a highly interactive series... it depends on the interest people put in it.

"Water Wars" is a horror movie because its possible it may happen - making it the most horrific of all... it's about self-controlled, Robotic Tanks.

That the government intends to implement Robotic Tanks is a fact, as is their intention to integrate them by the year 2015. That's in less than 10 years.
Who's going to make the operating systems for these death machines? Do you trust the US government & it's military not to set them loose in poorer sections of cities? After all, why would they let these Robotic Tanks loose on the population of North America... unless there isn't enough water to go around...?
This is a story of what transpires 2 years after that cataclysmic event... much of the world has dried up, overheated and over harvested, and water and food are running short.
The Water Wars have already begun, and every citizen who isn't incredibly wealthy has now been labelled a 'terrorist'. Only, they just want water, in order to survive.

MOVIE THREAD: http://allboards.lionhead.com/showthread.php?t=215912

Well, it appears that the robots being used in this movie preview are proprietory to another company, so I will remove it, sorry for the mistake.
I'll have to make some robots for the TMO version it appears.
I will keep you updated on the Water Wars series on the TMO Bar & Grill website.

Thank you all for your reviews, of all descriptions. I had a feeling the city views were slow (its a long story why)but I had no idea the robots were from Star wars, I never saw the new trilogy.

One thing that I've noticed people fail to comment on most of the movies I've seen by this studio is the level of depth you create. I think the clever thing is the mods appeal and can open a door, but your music, editing and more importantly story break the door down.
There is a strange ambience created within this feature which I can't quite describe. I'm intrigued how you will tackle a distinct possibility within the future. I've always said I don't like Sci Fi because of it's optimism, but this is bleak and almost gothic in feel. I appreciate that there is a cyber trend within Gothic culture, but to me this is more the traditional gothic appeal.
This production exudes quality and I very much look forward to the next instalments, not because of the mod work (which I know will be great) but because of the story.

I was really unimpressed with the title screens and the endless city shots in the beginning. It would be one thing if it was building up to something apocalyptic or suspenseful, but the music was reminiscent of elevator music. The modding was really well done, but I do agree, those droids were from Star Wars... and I don't think you can use them on TMO... Cause technically they are part of the franchise and you'd need to get a written consent form from Lucas Arts or whatever that company is... I have no idea.

Anyways... yeah... at least it was readable and stuff... but I mean, I wouldn't want to watch this film or anything... maybe if you'd amped up the trailer with some violence or some "horror".

Oh and by the way... I didn't get how Water Wars went along with the storyline... but maybe that was just me?

that was a good preview but only a couple of things i have to question. The "robots" look like star wars droids. and... i think we got the picture of the city already in our head for the first 30 seconds, you didn't have to have it for 2 minutes. Here's a pointer, If you do shots over and over again, they lose the interest of the veiwer and make them want to watch another movie.

It seems like a cool idea man, but you really just overused most of the shots, instead of showing some story as most trailers should, it seemed you were just flashing some sweet effects and mods. Again a lot of it just seemed to dragged out, and I can tell you got those overlays of the troidka using a star wars game which makes it copywright if I'm correct. Your move there.

But anyway, I look foward to the film, hope the next trailer or sneak peak or whatever has a bit more substity.

Again,some ultra-special EFFECTive scenes:-)
The bug-crawler looks unlike anything we've seen in a TMO movie for sure...I'm definitely looking forward to seeing how you develop this when you complete the full movie:-D

Looks like you're taking it to the next level. I'm excited to see this. You guys are unbelievable with the mods you create. The story sounds very intriguing.

Got to give you four stars because I think this could have been edited down a lot. First I was frustrated because I wanted to see the tanks and then at the end I was getting bored seeing them continue to do the same thing.

Thanks for the preview, I'm sure this will be one to watch!

Wow, that was remarkable! The brown haze give a great sense of impending doom. And the animated robot was stunning. Great music and great f/x as always from the Bongoman - well done chum.
