That was a good clash of cultures. Amish and stand up improv--only Mcrispy would think of that. It's actually a pretty good set up here since it makes the viewers afraid to admit if any of the jokes aren't funny from fear of being labeled Amish. It's also brilliant that you don't have to worry about offending any Amish people because they don't get on the internet.

Bizarre, random, & weird.
Really did like this movie, got some good giggles out of it.
Especially liked the Nun Joke & the resulting Crickets..LOL
Gus Chiggins..cracked me up. What a weird character.
Some of the humour was extremely funny, and some of the scenes.
The slow Clap was cool & also the guy scoffin down his food.
Funny VO's too. Good job Mcrispy! :D

The sound-effects were a great addition too. The camera-work was excellent.
I loved the music. Very good work dude. A fine effort. This comedy movie was off-the-wall, hilarious, insane, down-right hilarious and it was great!!!!
It all worked out so well. Bravo dude. I'm so glad you're still making films.

Comedy is always subjective and this flick lies along the dividing line between stupidity and humor. I tend to feel it fell more on the comedy side. Loved the premise. The amish are a tough crowd. Reminded me a bit of the opening scene from Funny Bones. You **** one sheep. Strange and amusing. I wish I had a Chiggins I could call to make it all better. He was a great character.

"Great success!" - that very last line I think is where this culture clash is supposed to be coming from. Focker is a Borat for our values going into a totally alien culture.

I hated Borat - I thought it was a one-star film. I laughed more times in your film (ie. once) than I did in the whole 90 minutes of Borat.

It was a promising set-up - I'm not someone who hates un-PC humour. It's just simply that this film wasn't funny. Maybe better comic timing would have helped - but none of the gags worked. The only thing I laughed at was the non-reaction of the Amish (or how they all gradually "got" the soup joke twenty minutes after the punchline).

So - a 2-stars from me for this one.

I didn't see any artists credited for the music - naming the website is not enough - so I've had to dock one star for that.

EXCELLENT! The voice overs and editing are very well done, and the dialogue is stupid but funny. Please rate my movies :D

The characters looked funny, and the names were funny too. It did have a good comedy theme to it, but it didn't make me laugh at all. I get it that Chiggins was telling people to laugh, but it would have been a better movie if the jokes were actually funny in the first place.

Nice use of backdrops, overlays and animation. I loved the amish people dressed up in the bar. Nice use of free cam and good editing.

The VO's I felt alittle mixed on, some sounded wonderful while others felt dry or unemotional.

Regards to the joke, I really couldn't get into them. I know comedy is very hard to win out on but this wasn't my cup of tea..

Music started off great but lacks music there. Which brings another point during the film it felt like something was missing and was moving too slow. Maybe if you had additional music it might have helped the tempo.

Overall Comedy is the one of the toughtest genre to make with the wide varied of comic humor. Unfortunately this was one of those comedies that wasn't to my liking. I do however like how you filmed, edited and used the amish theme (creative).

Funny,funny,and more funny!
Full of random jokes, amish people, and old guys with big afros.
The best part I think was the strange laugh from the guy eating.
The most random scene I believe was when Phil was standing there and the microphone moved up and down for a second.
Great jokes and amusing "TOO MANY COLORS" gag.
One question. what actually happened to Gus Chiggins?

Good.
Funniness Factor: 16/20 Pretty funny, boring in parts though. Loved the slow clap.
Scene Selection: 9/10 Good, but for the slow clap, they were angry, clap, angry, clap...
Plot: 10/10 Loved it.
Ending: 9/10 Pretty good, but not quite perfect.
Total: 44/50
4/5

Well, I didn't really understand it. I liked the titling, and the camera angles, but once the comedy routing started, I mean, I didn't see any of what he was saying as funny, really. Now it seemed that the object was to show that this guy was so out of his element it was ridiculous. I didn't feel any kind of empathy for the main character, or Gus Chiggins, who was just off the wall and weird. Technically I didn't see anything wrong with this. Just that the comedy didn't do it for me.

Interesting and original movie.
While not my cup of tea (I'm not really into comedies), this movie had good quality throughout.
The voice overs were well done (came in loud and clear). Voice acting was well done.

Good use of free cam.

I thought the costumes and hair were well done, kept things consistent.
I liked the music, blended in with the story well.

If I was one of those Amish people, I would have cut out Phil Focker's esophagus. And hung him with it. His routine was so bland and humourless that it could cause some mild melting of the neck and face. I couldn't really find any humour in this film, except during a few of the Gus Chiggen bits.

Comedy's hard, so sorry. I didn't smile, let alone laugh. I doubt the Amish were at fault for not liking it. Liked the "crickets" sfx, but in my mind it was playing constantly.
Nice Country music intros at the start: where d'you get 'em? Don't you feel the need to acknowledge things like this?

A comedian that bombs around Amish? Hmmm.......

The Good:
Nice intro.
Good opening music.
Nice mods. (uncredited though)
Good job on the V.O.'s.

The Bad:
Even though it was supposed to be about a comedian that bombs, I was expecting a few more 'decent' jokes.
The editing was a bit choppy at times.

Overall:
A nice film that gave a few chuckles. A bit lacking in places but was ok.

Like the comedian it was a good try, if it wern't fo chickens it would have died. Only he held the film together. Stand up comedy seems to be TMO's greatest struggle but it's good some are giving it ago. Good storyline. well done.

AS a big fan of stand-up comedy in general, I thought you did a fairly good job overall. That "it factor" that just pushed the film to 5 stars was the priceless Amish reactions to Focker. Overall it was a very entertaining film with some swingin' music.

A funny little sketch. Some of the humor I didn't really udnerstand, and it seemed that you kind of lost your train of thought half way through.
The VOs were alright. Just alright. My favorite part though was when all of the Amish were laughing and all the sudden one guy goes "what's Google?".
Overall, it was ok, but if you really solidify your ideas your next film will be very funny.

And, I've seen The Best of Will Ferrel which is where you got your avatar and the Gus Chiggens thing from.
