Powerful, epic, and visually sumptuous, Interstellar Odyssey is an explosive cinematic experience that stands, quite easily, as one of the finest achievements on TMO. The cinematic craftmanship on display here makes the rest of us swoon and stagger under the weight of the operatic grandeur and deeply emotive intensity. At moments populist "whiz-bang" sci-fi extravaganza and others deeply introspective journey, I:O represents a fine balance between action and pathos, between thriller and tragedy. Typical of all Nukester films, the characters, writing, and direction transcend the genre trappings, as he provokes in us some pretty heavy emotions regardless of whether we're watching a science-fiction, horror, or high-octane action film.

Doc and SKW make an infectiously likable duo here, with both delivering career-defining performances that rock 'em and sock 'em like no other. Kudos go out to K4, A_N_D, Murph, and everyone else for raising the bar alongside the film's two main stars.

Of course, the true "star" of this movie is Nuke, who makes me go "ooooh" and "aaaaw" with every new film. Easily a masterpiece and one of the best films out right now.

Nukester, my friend, you have certainly outdone yourself this time. I could think of hundreds of adjectives to describe my thoughts on this film:

Epic, Exciting, Flawless, Stunning, Spectacular, Mesmerizing, Masterpiece...

But none of those words seem to fully explain what I felt about this film. This was much more to me than just a mere movie. It was an adventure...a milestone in my time here on TMO. Just to have been such a big part of this movie means so much to me. It is because of Interstellar Odyssey that I have forged friendships and rekindled my confidence.

I have no need to mention how technically flawless this film is. The movie speaks for itself. Besides no words that I type here could do you justice. The viewer is taken on an emotional roller coaster through the life of one, Zack Ruddock, in a story that flows along as smooth as silk.

Again I will congratulate my voice acting counter parts. This was a team effort, and all the peices fit together like a perfect jigsaw puzzle. Everybody put forth their greatest performances to make this odyssey come to life.

Kick back, drink some martinis, and enjoy your break because you have certainly earned it my friend. As you say, Nukester:

"Nuke well in the Odyssey"

After the spectacular Interstellar Odyssey part one, my expectations were high for this film, and I??m happy to say this was everything I had hoped for and more!

The superb and excellently edited recap of part one served as a perfect introduction to Interstellar Odyssey II.
Conflict is an important element of making a film entertaining and there??s plenty here all wrapped up in an outstanding plot with some wonderfully written dialogue.

I??d also like to compliment you on the customised content, The animated backdrops blew me away.

Needless to say the cast all did a professional job voicing their respective characters which really bought to life the superb script.

Some inspired free cam work really helped bring the action to life and created some stunning visuals which enhanced the already cinematic feel of this movie.

Not only is this an FX packed spectacular, for all it??s technical cleverness the custom effects never outshine the superb story, they complement the plot beautifully and make this feel more like a real cinema production opposed to a TMO film.

There is so much I could complement about this film, the atmospheric music, the superb editing, the wonderful VO??s, not to mention the intelligent and gripping plot.

This isn??t just a good TMO sci-fi adventure, It??s the concluding part of a true epic and an inspiration to TMO film makers everywhere.

Outstanding Work!

It was very good, much more entertaining, and the voices were great, its amazing how many people you got to do the voices. The robot was wonderful, and I loved how well all the voices syncd up with the video. I still havent figured out how to do that. And, thank you for your review of my teaser, it was, very detailed. Just when I thought this couldn't get any better, Part Two manages to succesfully crank up the gear by several notches!

The viewer is embroiled in an epic adventure with these characters who are going on an incredible journey and it's game changer/twist came as a suprise!!

All loose ends were tied up very well and the final 10 minutes was a crazy mix of emotions. From sadness to pure anger to some out of this world adrenaline, the ride hits a climax that was overwhelming!

Interstellar Odyssey is a fine achiement on TMO and It's director has earnt my deepest respects!!!

A truly outstanding piece of work.

To make a 26 minute film without a single flaw is a real achievement.

The great use of sci-fi sets, props and locations created a believable and very impressive universe. The music and voice acting were, obviously, top notch. But best of all was the story.

If you're going to put this much into something of this length it needs to have a decent story and this didn't disappoint.

SPOILER WARNING

This reminds me of some of my favourite sci-fi films where the real enemy turns out to be not the extra-terrestials but, in fact, selfish and greedy humans. The discovery of the recorded message and the arrival of the General tied up multiple loose ends from the first episode.

I would give this 10 stars but only 5 is possible. Amongst what I have managed to see so far, these two films are *the* showpiece of TMO.

Disappointing.Very predictable. Doesn't make sense scientifically or canonically esppecially when compared to the first one. If the first film hadn't been so good I would have rated it higher.

Also, I don't want to be one of 'those guys' but the year on the camera is wrong.

I think five stars should have been fifty. This is clearly a masterpiece. This movie brings back lots of memories from the old days of Star Trek series, exept a lot more updated and better.I've been trying to watch your Ultimate Showdown over and over and after pressing on your movie ,I end up on the top ten charts and even when i tried it from your site ,the results were the same.I think you should look into it.I didn't get to watch it at all. If you want you could take a peak at some of my moviesand rate them.I seriosly think you should contact Hollywood studios.Greatest luck to you man.

I keep running out of adjectives to say just how good this scifi movie is! It is everything everyone has said about it. Its just the best example out there of what great talent can do with The Movies... Everyone involved, espcially you Nukester, just make me swell with pride to know that I am part of a community that can make such wonderful movies. This is the kind of stuff I can show off to the Outside world and say...'See what we can do!' Thank you so much!

Simply the best sci-fi movie on TMO. The plot is intensely unique, the musical soundtrack is captivating and the actors are phenomenal.

Saddening, comical and frightening, Interstellar Odyssey is a film that pretty much all the family can enjoy! The voice acting is amazing, and the special effects are just amazing.

I had a long review writen out before and then the internet stopped so i'll have to start again but it will be really brief. The pace of the film picked up but took a long time to, music was much better, some acting needed work but over all good vo's, well put together, good script but just needed more. good job. It just past for 5 stars.

I have just rewatched it, and this is always a pure SHOCK!

A magnifiscent space opera adventure, a superb conclusion to your incredible achievement! Woaw!

The film is flawless, anyway, in my opinion, and maybe because I didn't get every details, I found the beginning of this second part a bit slow, and with too much dialogues, but the following is absolutely breathtaking!

The arrival on the new planet is really brillant, the use of sound effects, and the edit are, how can I say, Smart, brillant, professionnal. The overlays are incredible too.

Maybe, I agree with someone who said it earlier, the reaction, when the two discovered the alien, is not at all realistic, and a bit caricatural, but it's not at all your fault, but well I didn't imagine things like that too, but this is really a detail, I can add that I hoped a better alien, but the tmo alien is a lot of fun anyway, and he has a very small part!

Well, I think the most incredible part of the film, is the father record.. Well A_N_D, as every actors, delivers a fantastic performance, this passage is full of emotion, and the most important to my eyes, full of life!

I was sure k4 was the bad guy, and I loved his role, maybe the final ships pursuit is not as good as the rest, but it stays cool, with great use of sounds effects, maybe I was a bit confused sometimes, because I didn't know who was who.

The superb ending, narrated by the very talented Jazzx, finished to knock out us, and let us think, what a great filmaker you are Nuke, and a lot of respect for the work you accomplished, to offer this great sensory show!

Babar ;)

Great Stuff Nuke... Great stuff... I dunno what on earth to say other than this movie breaks all the rules of a sequal... It's actually Good!

Masterpiece...

I dunno what else to say other than a list of adjectives that would make me go on forever. But legendary and Brilliant would go in there!
The special FX and the dialogue was the highlight of the film. I've never seen a movie with such flawless VO's and once again it surprised me. The visual effects were like none I've ever seen on TMO and that frankly is pretty cool.

Well aside from that all I can say is an excellent movie. The Story line practically kicks off from the last one and never fails to deliver with suspense and good visuals to pull the story off. I suppose you're sick of hearing praise so...
Good luck with future Films... Not like you need it ;P

I really enjoyed this film alot, you did a great job, but it's sad to see this series wrap up. The way it ends was kind of quick and dissapointing. I mean, I kind of wanted to see a big actiony fight with a huge build up, not a Star Trek-esque way of beaming things from ship to ship, but ah well, it was a great show none the less!

Nukester, you are truly a very gifted movie maker. This movie made me remember what a good movie is! Not just a good movie, but a great movie! Words cannot describe how great this two part story is! The characters were awsome, and great VOs by all the cast members. Wonderful script, and stunning special effects. This is by far, the best movie i have ever seen! Editing 4/4 : Excellent editing. This part didn't suffer from the abnormally large number of close-ups as the first part. Well-done.
Dialogue 3/3 : All the voice overs were done well, all clear without any sound quality issues.
Plot/Originality 4/5 : A good plot, just not great. The solution they used to "get a new omega drive" felt a bit contrived. I have a hard time seeing how it could work without a lot of extra help. But other than that problem, it was a well-thought out and interesting.
Entertainment 5/5 : With the one exeption noted above, I found it to be an excellent movie. It kept my attention throught almost the entire thing, which is a rarity in the 20 minute+ movies on TMO. Great job, keep up the good work.
Music/Sound 3/3 : Great sound and an excellent score make this really feel like an epic movie.
Total : 19/20 - 5 stars - Excellent

Incredible! I'm am dumbfounded that you were able to create such an epic and amazing movie using only The Movies!! It is truly inspiring to us all that such things are possible.

I am greatful to you for putting all of that time and hard work into this and sincerely hope that you are proud of your accomplishment. I recomend I:O to everybody, including those un-interested in TMO in general. This is one to turn heads!

I truly forgot I was watching a TMO film and got lost in this gripping story.
I usually give my thoughts on different aspects of the movie but it is unnecessary here. As far as I'm am concerned it is a flawless masterwork! The story was deep and realistic, the voice actors were inseperable from their roles, the editing and visual effects were intricate and seemless, all melded together with a terrific and emotional musical score.

I would also like to congratulate the Voice Actors for their superb skills and work for this production. It really paid off and is inspring to a novice VA such as myself.

All in all I believe you have set the new, and most probably unbeatable, bar for film-making on TMO.

Congratulations Nukester, you are a true competitor amongst the greatest film-makers!

...That was so good, I actually started clapping at the end...

The action was brilliant and intense, the drama was brilliant and intense. The whole thing wass brilliant and intense. Truly and epic for the TMO Hall Of Fame.

I have to say through the first 10 minutes the story dragged, but those thoughts were entirely cast aside, as the dramatic build-up to finding his father's tape (I nearly cried...nearly...), and then the dramatic twist that was exactly what the film needed. This is truly one of the most brilliant and gripping epics I've ever seen on TMO.

Congratulations on a masterpiece! Cheese...

Overall, a good film. The overlays and other effects were excellent, especially the sky scenes. I do have some issues with two things, however. First, the dialogue made me cringe at times. The voice acting was outstanding, but the dialogue was corny and over dramatic. A 'larger than life' set of dialogue may have been what you were after. If so, disregard.

Second, I noticed two peices of copyrighted music, both from the movie Chronicles of Riddick (music is played at 12:25 and 13:05 respectively). I was under the impression that you couldn't use such music without permission. It's also not listed in your credits. Again, if I'm in error, disregard this.

A great conclusion to a fine piece of work. This was an amazing film with a great story to be told. It was well written and thought out with dialogue that flowed smoothly and realistically.
On the technical side it seemed pretty flawless. Editing was great and use of overlays was amazing. Great choice of music aswell. kinda gave a bit of the original battlestar gallactica feel to it.
The strongest point of the film was the Voice acting. The cast did an amazing job. You've assembled a great group of people here.
Great job on this film. It truelly is an aweinspiring piece of work.

A great second part here. You've easily lived up to all the expectations set up by the first part and actually exceeded them. Your use of overlays is some of the best I've seen on TMO - your special effects enhanced the film without overtaking it and they blended in seamlessly. Great acting once again by the entire cast just topped it off. Well done again.

I knew it! I was waiting for this 2nd part and I'm not disapointed! That was absoloutly fantastic!
The actors made a great job. The voice and text were clear and easy to understand. The music was magistral, very epic. The story was superb. The movie was flawless, perfect. It's the best Sci-fi movie I've ever seen!
All I can hope now is to have a HDversion of the movie.

Congratulation for this magnificent movie!

WWWOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!! That was the BEST movie I've EVER watched on TMO!!! Though I did think it was kind of wierd that there was only one alien encountered on the planet, and some parts at the end confused me, it was still AMAZING!!! 5 thumbs up!!!

Wow, what an epic! That was Lord of the Rings sci-fi style! So professional, so mind-blowing, so exciting, so grand, so... so... so perfect!

I didn't blink for 26 minutes as I sat through this gem. Spot on voice acting, editing, music, sound effects, special effects etc... I can ramble on for ages, but I think you get the idea.

I:O is a modern day masterpiece, and better than many professional hollywood sci-fi films that I've seen!
George Lucas will be impressed!

Excellent work Nukester, nuke well in the Interstellar Odyssey :D

Man I suck at reviewing. Not much I can say that hasn't been said already. The only problem I had with this was a lot of tech talk, but it did help explain a lot of stuff we needed to know. Watching the black box from the Odyssey 1 nearly made me break out into tears. I really felt a lot of emotion. Um, technically sound with a great story. Yup, I liked it.

- SHERWINLIU

A grandiose and ambitious conclusion to the IO saga. But I have mixed feelings about the plot and the story. I confess I zoned out a few times during the first half of the movie. Until 19 minutes or so, the plot seemed to move rather slowly, relying on a lot of tech talk about omega drives (not I-Omega drives? ;) ) which didn??t necessarily hold my attention. I was certainly intrigued by the alien contact with the bipedal hammerheads, but also wasn??t gripped by the father-son revelations? After that, the movie moved into a more mainstream action type of finale, which was well done but not gripping to me.

In summary, I felt this movie was rather demanding on the viewer and was a bit disappointed on the content side. But it is nevertheless an original and one of the best scifi entries on display on this site, and it is a movie that one has to admire technically. The Voiceovers are marvelous and the effects first rate.

Great work Nuke.

Nice story, really sharp and well executed. All the VO was up to scratch and it all worked really well.

This story was simply fantastic. It had a little of everything promised and was perfect. I'm amazed by how well you integrated all the audio-visual components into it and I'm sure you did a lot of the original work for most of it. The voice acting was incredible as before. I loved the scientific detail and how you made it easy to understand, yet believeable to a high/medium-end techie-nerd. The sci-fi stuff was great too as was the military angle. I loved the humantarian angle too and the hope it speaks for us as a society, both on individual achievements (good vs evil) as well as the possibility of the possibility of meeting a peaceful alien race one day.

Oh. My. God. I saw the first Interstellar Odyssey, and it was the BEST TMO movie I have seen by far. Bravo, Nukester, bravo. When I saw Neil Ruddock's last message, I couldn't help but see a similarity to the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. It was amazing, that movie. My sci-fi series, The War Against Time, is NOTHING compared to this amazing feat in computer movie-making. Great story, great characters, awesome finale. Bravo, and encore!

"Stunning and brilliant. Eye catching!****!"
Hello, nukester! You probably do not remember me. I am Chris Burgos. I LOVED the way you made this great Scifi epic! It truly is deserving of the #1 spot in the charts!

Anyway, besides the review, I wanted to tell you about how TMOers can improve their studio homepages. If you recognize piczo.com (the place where you build your own website), you can build your own studio homepage there! As you know(if you've ever heard of it), Piczo can help you create the site of your dreams. If you want, you could design an entire website FOR your studio (precisely what I did!)and you can tell as many other TMOers about this as possible!

I am only making a suggestion, and if you have any concerns about this, email me at chris-brgs@hotmail.com!

First off congrats on getting to #1 so fast that has to be a new record or something. The editing and special effects really made this movie unique it it didn't even seem like like it was made using the movies. The story was filled with twists and turns and definately the best sci-fi movie ever on the TMO. It keep my attention for 26 mintues and that is hard to do usless something is shiny then I could watch it all day :)

Nuke my friend, that I just saw was just AMAZING. What I liked about your movie, and this considers the first part too, is that you combine a ineresting and fascinating sci fi story with alot of emotions. Most Sci fi movie on the site, just wants to impress us with a visual style and somehow originaly effects, and that is also in a way very impressive. However, you take the concept to a whole other level and put emotions and so much other aspects into your work that gives this epic feeling that is very hard to find these days. I would totaly go out an by this movie or at least rent it if it was to be found on DVD, I really mean that. Again, most impressive, and the saga Interstellar Odyssey outdue any other epic movie of this sort (Cleopatra, Altheo mm) without a doubt. I love you Nuke:D

Like much of the other reviewers have stressed here, this was a magnificent acheivement and complelling viewing. This surpassed the first for me, the direction being perhaps even more accomplished and the acting more emotive, more believable.

Ultimately, an unbelievable film that confirms your position as one of the top directors residing here on TMO.

Truly an appropriate continuation of the best Sci-fi on TMO. While I'm delighted to be mentioned as an inspiration, it's you who inspire me, now. This is worthy of the big screen, and the elements of production are already there! I'd love to see the hi-rez version of this movie. This series is in such a different class, plot, suspense, voiceovers - the music choice and implementation, particularly during the action sequences, were just fantastic, I rode this perfectly timed rollercoaster.

I'm not sure what to begin with but oh my god.
This is the greatest TMO Sci-Fi movie I've ever seen and it was better than a lot of real life Sci-Fi!

First of all the plot scored for me 30/20, impossible but true. The ideas put forward such as the true motives of your (trying to avoid spoilers here) villain was a great twist. The way the aliens acted was superb, in that they didn't speak etc. There was a lot in this film which I was unable to understand normally such as gee ratings etc but that made so much sense in this film. An amazing plot that had me sitting on the edge of my seat for the whole of the film, I nearly cried after the video sequence.

Dialog 20/20. This was amazingly well written, it felt like it was really happening as the story went on rather than the dialog of most TMO movies which feels awfully bland and rehearsed. A credit to the VO actors in this feeling but I'll come to that in a minute, a lot of the authenticity came from the writing, you are obviously very knowledgeable about this subject and so the story flowed seamlessly.

Camera movement 20/20. The movement of the camera in this film was truly brilliant. Especially in the recorded video sequence camera movement helped develop emotion and made you really fell for the characters. Also as they approached planets was excellent.

Music 19/20. The music in this movie mixed so well with the film that I often hardly noticed it being there, which is how the music should be. The one minor quiffle I had with the music was the chase scene, it sounded a bit like the final countdown and didn't really display enough adrenalin at this point. By contrast again the scene with the video (yes I loved this scene) the music was beautiful. The fact that it was mostly done by you makes it even better.

SFX 18/20. The SFX were awesome in this movie especially in the spaceship landing sequences. However there were the occasional SFX that felt didn't fit such as the walking SFX. But apart from that SFX that made you feel like you were there!

VO actors 20/20. They did so well especially Doc, SK, K4, Murphey and Derby. They were just brilliant, also the part of Jazz X as the narrator. You should feel very proud of what they have helped you achieve. Great work and a round of applause to all of them.

Mods, overlays etc 20/20. The overlays and mods used here were used correctly, which is to say they were not just used for the sake of making it different, they were used to help the story. The overlays were brilliant and the mods were extremely well done.

This movie is awesome and to add to the string of awards you will now undoubtedly win you can add the 'Wackyal3000 award for must see movies'! (I'll post the pic in this film's thread) This was truly brilliant and will go down in TMO history. Don't listen to the jerks like otnemem20, I've seen him post a few times and he's not a particularly nice guy. This is brilliant end of story.
I can happily sit back and smile at the satisfactory end to the Odyssey.

Excellent work. Slow and steady wins the race and this certailly wins the epic race. The feeling of adventure and wonder ooze out of this slick production and we, the audience are pulled along the the ride. There were a couple of times i was caught off guard by a twist in the story, and this is a new one; i haven't been caught out much. A grand scale epic worthy of an Ubernewbie production. Nice work and FABBO.

Nukester, I have to admit you've cracked it this time, A Ledgendary Sci-Fi to be remembered with films that rocked TMO.

I'll clear the bad first, no matter how minute, my policy is to alert the film-maker on how to improve. First the Length, quite long for the average worker, meaning chart success will have to wait for a little longer in the day (Well you want Perfection, don't you?) And then the voiceovers, sometimes they didn't flow like a conversation, sometimes robotic. But all these faults only appear for a matter of seconds in the film.

Now the good, here I can truly express how I feel about this Sci-Fi Epic. The Overlays Costumes and Sound Effects not only added a Novelty Value that TMO is crying out for, but also a whole new take on a Sci-Fi flick. The build up was something many film-makers could only dream of. The Voicecast, apart from sometimes having an 'ambeince' while they talked, were well casted and did a great job of only improving this film, not looking back.

In conclusion, this is probably going to be in the charts for a very long time, and very well deserved too.

I am without voice, I rarely saw a film so beautiful! A magnificent technical control, and a sense of the aesthetics very pleasant .
This episode 2 is very rich, as you know it, I am French, and I was not able to understand everything but a big work emerges there!
The musics are very good, and sound effects are very rich.
The best film which I was able to see for a long time!

Nukester,

Picasso is quoted as saying "The important thing is to create. Nothing else matters; creation is all."

You have done just that. Don't ever stop making your films. You have a talent for it, and this, no matter what anyone says, is a fantastic sci-fi epic worthy of all its praise. i loved every single moment of this film, stem to stern. Loved it. The bar has been raised, and you raised it up rather high. Well done. Bravo.

5 well deserved stars.

No review could possibly due justice such a breathtaking piece of art. The second half of the film nicely tied up all loose ends and clearly answered the question "Is there life out there?" I do not know about out there, but there is certainly life within this film. A life that is breathed through by the tremendous voice acting, the stunning special effects, the dazzling music, and the excellent direction. This, by far, is the greatest Sci-Fi epic to ever graze the TMO screen. Gob well done, Nukester.

This seems to be yet another disappointing sci-fi entry. I was really looking forward to this second part since I figured the story would improve once it became less Earth-bound. I was wrong. I actually prefer the first part of this incredibly long TMO picture. I feel I am being generous with this review because although your movie is obviously very technically sound or even superior to most, the story is just so lacking in genuine emotion and any creativity whatsoever. The script and the actors' deliveries were so overly melodramatic, I became prone to constant eye-rolling and began yelling "Oh come on!" This would not be a big deal if this was a problem with only some of the voice-work, but every line by every actor was really obvious and/or really cheesy. The over-the-top dialogue worked well in Horror of the Vampire, but not in this picture. This reflects bad direction.

Early on, the plot seemed like it could go somewhere new, but the it did not. Your main protagonist loses his father and then seeks revenge, resulting in a climactic space chase. This movie was just like your prototypical Hollywood fluff. Aside from the plotting problems, the visuals were also severely lacking. The cinematography was overly claustrophobic with an incredible amount of closeups. I don't think you had a single wide shot in the picture except when you were displaying a landscape of some kind. When the astronauts were on the alien planet, the cinematography should have forced us to experience the vast alien landscape, but it did not. Also, most of the music just did not work and completely set the wrong tone.

Some of the shots and camera movements made no sense at all. For instance, why was the log camera zooming in on Neil Ruddock when he was explaining what happened to him. This was a cheap camera trick to try and inject unnecessary emotion into the scene forfeiting the common sense of the situation. Also, the ending was a complete miscalculation. Do not summarize your picture with a voice-over. This just cheapened the experience even more. Real filmmakers do not need to spell out their themes at the end. You need to respect the audience by treating them like adults who can handle ambiguity.

Overall, this movie stays just above average because of the technical aspects, but it is still very hard to watch. The one sequence that was very well done was when Ruddock was sort of following the alien around. Everything meshed in these scenes making them a joy to watch and providing for a profound but simplistic sequence, however fleeting it may have been.

Aww, c'mon! Zack and Vivian should'a made out at the end, how could you leave that out? xP

This movie is a spectacularly done masterpiece. I'm torn between The Passage and Interstellar Odyssey; which one is better? This movie was awesome. The overlays and effects were great, the voice acting was simply top notch. The storyline was well done, and I would never have guessed that general guy was evil. This was just impossibly amazing, wonderful, fantastic, spectacular... I quote AnotherNewDawn here with:
"You need a better medium and a bigger budget and a crew and a camera, Nukester. TMO is too small for you."
TMO is a great stepping stone for movie-making giants, such as nukester. I am baffled. You pulled enough strings to pull something I don't think any of us could pull off. Fantastic way to end the movie! Wonderful special effects, touching moments, great display of emotion, excellent voice acting, and really a grand finale for an epic movie. I did feel that the plot was a little too predictable as I already knew almost exactly what was going to happen before it was going to happen. Asides from that however, the music accompanied the movie well and the voice acting was wonderful, truly a fantastic treat to watch!

Interstellar Odyssey (Part Two)
5 Stars Earned

Opening Statement:
This was an absolutely extraordinary film ?? indeed one of the best I??ve ever seen on TMO. Many people can learn for their films some of the nifty shots you chose and the special effects you created. It was a feast for the eyes . The colors flowed so beautifully between set designs and costumes, lighting and overlays. This was one film I will never forget.

Boredom factor
Not boring at all
100%
This film had me gripping my seat the entire time. I never knew what was going to happen next. You threw in a nice twist at the end which really left me in amazement. I don??t know how you do it, I really don??t. One part I remember is when he landed on the planet all alone. I had no idea what was in store for me. I had NO way of knowing what was going to happen with him. You kept me in suspense, you kept me wondering, you kept me wanting to keep watching. Only a true director can accomplish such an astounding feat, and you my friend, did just that.
What really got me to notice this was going to be good right off the bat was how I instantly fell in love with all the characters. I didn??t want them to die ?? regardless of how minor or major they were. They were built through not only their dialogue, but your utilization of the scenes as they were. You used the in game movements of the actors in any way possible you could, for the benefit of this film. When I, the viewer, pictured their hand or head moving next, it did. It was amazing and almost as if the actors and actresses were alive; real people in a real movie speaking to me!
In addition to this, another thing that put me in awe was the flow from IO1 to IO2. It didn??t seem like I missed anything important. Your excellent re-cap in the beginning got my mind running again and solely thinking IO, IO, IO. Five minutes within watching IO2 I had no idea how it would end up, I had no idea what surprises were in store. What I did know was that this would be one movie to stay in my mind as long as I will remain on this website. This was a giant leap in machinema movie making.

Acting/ Subtitles
Almost too good to be true
100%
The acting?how could it compare to any other movie? Obviously, as they were supposed to, the voices of the main characters stole the show. In my opinion. the talents of Docontheweb, Sailor, and K4 blended so flawlessly. It was all so real. A cast like this is apt to make such an astonishing movie. They were a big part of what made this film what it is. Not once did they breath on their mics, not once did they mess up a simple line, not once was I convinced that they were voicing animation. The acting was absolutely incredible.
I want to say that K4 is really an awesome actor. I don??t know as if enough people know of his talent. He delivers such a real performance, its unbelievable.
Sailor is another one of the best on this site. We all know it. Her effort and skill shows. She has such a lovely voice and she knows how to use it.
Docontheweb is who stood out the most to me. Like K4, his delivery was flawless. His lines were so well done; they were almost too good to be true. I didn??t think it was machinema?it was all so real and well performed.

Technicalities:
100%
How could I rate this less than one hundred percent? Your overlays were just incredible. To me, they came off the way a real movie would use special effects. In my opinion, these ??special effects?? were even better than some present day science fiction movies could ever accomplish.
The mods I saw in this were nice to see. I don??t use science fiction costumes much, but I??m sure those nice pieces of work did not come from the game itself. I believe you really made this movie full of realism by creating these new sets and retextures. Everything was made with TM, yet so different, so much more exciting. You made a piece of artwork here ?? not just a machinema movie.
There??s not much more I can say. A picture is worth a thousand words, and these film is worth a billion. I rather not bore you with my review; hell, you already know I loved it.

Your results are going to be calculated one grade at a time. Good luck.

10%-30% 1 Star, In need of huge improvement
31%-50% 2 Stars, Not bad, could do better
51%-70% 3 Stars, Good, Alright, always room for improvement
71%- 90% 4 Stars Close to amazing. Excellent work.
91%- 100% 5 Stars, astonishing job, perfect

Final report:
100%

Final Words:
Simply amazing (that word seems to have shown up the most in this review). I hope this movie will pave the way for other new members or directors that want to start work on a serious production. I hope it will teach people just how to pull a one of a kind movie off. In my eyes, nukester, you??ve created some of the best works on this site. I will always be pleased to watch a nukester made film. I know I will not be disappointed. Thank you for 26 minutes of pure entertainment.

Whew! That really was a ride! Great work on all aspects of the film. The special effects, the characters, the plot, the world you created -- all top notch!

My biggest problem with Interstellar Odyssey though... is the writing. I may not have mentioned this in my previous review, but I will now. I'm not saying that it's awful or anything. It's great! But you have the unyieleding tendency when putting in dialogue for characters to have them say "Well, I'm like this and I do this for this reason and my attributes are this but my problems are this." Real people don't talk like that. ;) Also, I noticed in this chapter right when the film started and they found out the Omega Drive wasn't working, someone says "Mission Control must have tried to warn us and we must not have gotten it while we were in radio silence." Again, pulled me out of the movie a second and made me think 'That was very... specific.' But for the most part, you did an awesome job in every aspect of the film.

I cannot wait until you set us up on another adventure.

I'm going to miss you soooooo much when you take your brake, but I know that when you return you will return with something that'll top even this untopable film. Nukester these are the only words I can type because my mind has been melted wit the awesomeness of this flick. Superior job!

Part one was 'stellar'... Part 2 is 'SPECTACULAR'!!!
This film is the pinnacle of excellence on TMO. It achieves what the world's greatest minds have so long sought: Perfection. Never before has so gripping a story been told like this.

The young unknowing captin who finds what he was looking for... and more.

The self assertive lieutenant concerned for the man she has grown to love.

The well honored general, turned sinister.

This IS my favorite TMO movie to date. The twists and turns held me breathless as I was glued to my seat waiting on every word. The overlays were outstandng, and the music was professionally chosen and placed, to add maximum suspense. (I especially enjoyed the last bit during the decoy scenes.) The Vo's were so well done, that I found that I had to keep telling my self that they werent really alive and in front of me. The recap at the beggining brought me up to speed and the narration at the end brought the story to a well organized conclusion.

My Favorite Line: "Crystal"- Lieutenant Vivian Wallace

Overall a must see film, with SPECTACULAR Voice Acting(kudos to the cast)SPECTACULAR Plot, SPECTACULAR Directing, SPECTACULAR Mods, SPECT- Well you probably get the point by now. Simply SPECTACULAR!!!!!

I want to swear, and say ****ing BRILLIANT! :) I'm blown away.

Fantastic atmosphere to this story. Particularly the end (and pretty much everything that lead up to it, come to think of it!)

You've really done an exception job here, nukester. Great mood, great effects, great voice actors, great musical choices. Simply GREAT!

Maybe it's just me, and judging from the other reviews it is. But I've got to be honest right? Great special effects and everything, but I didn't get drawn in to the story. Lots of dramatic tension (big, big build up to the first shuttle landing) then... nothing. Alien appears, lots of drama, then... nothing. The ending, to me, was "DATA saves the day" from Star Trek.
Sorry, as I say, maybe it's just me.

Nuke dude, firstly... I must say that was [be polite!]ing amazing!! It was!! I mean, you have created such a block-buster sci-fi series. I loved every minute of it.
As this sci-fi series has been done in two parts you have really thought of a really cool way to cut the story into two equal length parts! And you did that extremely well. Part 1 was really epic and I couldn't wait to see the finale. And I am just so speechless of how it was concluded. From this film, or should I say these two parts of I:O, you can really see how hard Nukester has worked and it's definelty paid off and gotten you heaps of success. I loved this second installment.
The cast was top-notch and all gave excellent performances, not to mention Sailorknightwing and Docontheweb. The music was fab and really suited the movie's theme. The editing was flawless and the story was incredible.
It's great how you have really made two excellent parts to this block-buster sci-fi series of yours, Interstellar Odyssey! In part one, we get to know the world and the characters, btw, it was very creative of you to have a short re-cap of what had happenned in part one. Now after knowing some key characters, etc, I must say that this concluding part was excellent, it couldn't of been done better. I was very pleased to be apart of this production, it's really hard to say which bit I loved the most, i loved it all, but my favourite part in Part two would have to be when my character [Omega X] saves the day!!!
Oh yeah, that was brilliant. I felt that this is such a likeable film, that I could tell what was coming next after watching part one, that's how much of a big fan I am of your work nuke. You never dissapoint with any new film you release on TMO, as a community we've grown to know that you really make excellent movies and work on them for ages and that the waits and delays are all worth it and more. From Fire and Forget 3, to HOTW and now, to I:O!!
You are a very talented film-maker that showcases all his talents in this two part series, from re-cruiting an out-standing cast, excellent music choices, un-believable overlays, fab backdrops and just so much more. As a two part series, this has been more than your average sci-fi film. I could tell from Part one that this series was really something and it really [be polite!]ing is!! sorry, but I have to express how [be polite!]ing good this series, sorry for my language!! LOL!! Anyway, this is a big-block-buster sci-fi film that has been anticipated for months and months.
And you know what?!?! It's really been worth it, I think the best thing about you as a film-maker Nuke, is that you really inspire people to push their limits of talent in film-making on TMO. This could be clearly seen in this movie, not to mention Part one. I think it's great that you put so much effort into your movies, your effort grade is an A* and so is the final product. With new people coming on TMO, you really will make them realise how to make it big in the biz, the film-making business basically. I think that's an excellent perspective of your film-making talents, you're always thinking "The sky's the limit" and you've certainly done that and more. You've out-done "The sky's the limit" phrase by all means of how much went into this film!!!!
Also, the characters of this series have been so enjoyable, from Sailor's, to murphey's, Doc's, they're all so great characters and you are really talented at writing fab scripts. It would be great to read the script for these films because I bet I could identify that with the talent you put into making your films, that your scripts would make you feel as if you definelty, without a doubt, are imagining the world throughout reading it and therefore, watching the movies and then you really realise how [be polite!]ing good it looks on paper and on the big screen. The costumes were excellent, fabbo in that department. I loved the free-cam work, you are so talented at making films nuke! I'm telling you, you should become a real-life director. As a director on TMO, you produce such high quality pieces of work and each one is unique and different in their own ways. Which is fanstastic!! You could say Nuketastic!! LOL!
I am so thrilled to see what you'll suprise us next with your new film in 2008!
You are such a talented film-makers, definetly one of TMO's best!!!!
I loved this sci-fi series so much nuke. It felt that it was so much more of an adventure than some average sci-fi film you would see nowadays. You definelty fleshed that out in your films and that's why you're so good at it!!!!!
Overall, I loved this movie so much that I would even recommend this film series to a lot of well-known real-life sci-fi film directors when I have the time! LOL!!!
A really great piece of work!! To summarise how much I love this, here I go!
Plot= A*
Characters= A*
Music= A*
Editing= A*
VO's= A*
Overlays/backdrops= A*
Flow= Definate A*
Anything else that hasn't been mentioned= A*
Overall entertainment= A*
So, that would have to be an A* overall and about ten million thumbs up dude!!
I loved this so much, thanks for making such an amazing two parter sci-fi series that has been so exilihirating and thrilling to watch that I can't even believe I have! Well... I obviously have seen it now! You get what I mean!!!
I was so engaged and entertained throughout viewing this movie.
It should be out on DVD now or even in the cinemas or something big like that to make more people aware of how much of a top class film-maker you are!!!
Which you certainly are and more!!!
Unbelievable, to round it off, you are a master of Sci-fi, horror and Action!!
I know you'll dominate the romance genre or something else next!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY ME and a very, very, very, very well done from me.
It was very intense and dramatic at the end! And I loved every bit of it!!!
I was blessed to work with such talent, if someone was to ask Omega X "Were you pleased to be apart of Nukester's new project, I:O? Omega X would reply "Positive". I did enjoy being apart of this very much and I know that from everyone else who was involved, modders, voice-actors, music artists, etc that everyone is extremely impressed with what you have created here nuke!!!
Excellent job!! I had so much to say and I had to credit you for it nuke!!!

A very fitting conclusion to this space saga epic. A giddy sense of exploration and adventure pervades throughout this film and was perfectly captured by the brilliant directing skills of Nukester. I love the use of mods and breath-taking animated overlays. The story really kicks in at the second half and keeps the audience riveted. *Spoiler Alert* As a minor gripe I did find the reaction of Captain Zack to be odd when he initiallly meets the other inhabitant. A space explorer would more likely try to initiate communications rather than sprawl onto the floor in fear. Likewise Lt. Vivian would not have drawn her gun as an initial reaction (especially since the alien made no threatening gestures in the slightest at any time). Apart from that, I think this was a labor of love crafted in the classic fashion of the old sci-fi masters such as Arthur C. Clarke and Ray Bradbury. I am thankful for the opportunity to have contributed to this epic, and look forward to watching the entire saga in a single viewing. Congratulations on your monumental achievement, Nukester.

If one word was used to sum up the masterpiece of the conclusion of Interstellar Odyssey, that singular word would be "perfect."

Continuing fifty days after the cliffhanger events that wrapped up its predecessor, the second volume of I:O explodes onto screens with a gargauntuan punch that effectively stuns its audiences with vast strength. A powerhouse of visual effects and a medley of marvelous storytelling, Interstellar Odyssey's second part shifts viewers to the edge of their seat within the first half a minute, and pulls them closer to the screen with every passing second.

The storytelling is top-notch, and something to be marveled at it with its brilliant strength and power. It never wavers, and it never dissapoints...it stays strong throughout, occassionally upping the ante with some of the best moments captured on TMO. Its powerful, its emotional, its climatic, its atmospheric...it mesmerizes the viewer with rapid-fire ferocity and intensity that never backs off. It is a beautiful thing to be held as writer and director Nukester crafts the elegant science-fiction masterpiece before you.

The performances by each individual voice-actor is top notch. Each one gives some of their best performances to date, and pull in audiences with the remarkable authenticity that each one brings to this epic tale, right up to the explosive and brilliant finale.

The sound was byfar the best of TMO...a powerhouse soundtrack lends to the film's credibility as one of the finest creations to grace "The Movies". It has a very epic, very resounding feel to it that electrifies viewers to great extent. Even visually, the movie works wonders...everything seems fresh, new and fluid, only assisted with the rapid-fire editing that overcharges the senses with its wonderful, seamless atmosphere. "Interstellar Odyssey"'s second chapter has byfar the most precise and shocking technical aspects in the history of TMO.

Overall, this is one masterpiece that ignites inspiration in the hearts of its viewers. It makes them long for every second to last, as this is a byproduct of surefire brilliance. By the time the breath-taking, eye-popping finale begins to take place, we're already gasping for air. With powerhouse performances, top of the line editing and a story that completely blows any viewer's mind, this is one amazing film to be marvelled at it.

This picture is incredible, breathtaking, marvelous, exciting, inspiring, powerful, emotional, mesmerizing, haunting, beautiful, excellent, brilliant, amazing, eyepopping, mindblowing, heartstopping, accomplished, superb, premium, superlative, supreme, magnificent, champion, sterling, striking, attractive, distinguished, flawless, flauntless, impeccable, thorough, first-rate, outstanding, exceptional, cutting-edge, graceful, grand, smart, clever, intelligent, dazzling, exquisite, stunning, gorgeous, appealing, charming, enhancing...this film is all of those things. It is a masterpiece to watch.

By far one of the best films I've seen on TMO, Nukester.

THE BEST MOTION PICTURE TO EVER HIT TMO
------------------------------------------

I have never awaited a film on tmo more than this one... I just don't know where to start, so I'll categorize it.

------------------------------------------------------------

PLOT/SCRIPT
---------------

Easily one of the best ones on tmo ever. The script is very well though out, the dialogue is believeable and the realistic feel is incredible. I bet you put a lot of time and research into this project.

VISUALS/DIRECTING
----------------------

The free-cam work on this movie is beyond my understanding. It's so amazingly fantastic that I can honestly say, this didn't feel like a tmo-movie, it felt like something even better. The reflection effects of the helmets, the camera angles and the color scale brings the visuals of this movie beyond perfection.

VO´s/ ACTING
---------------------

The VA´s did an amazing job on this one. The sound is perfect without any popping or disturbing sounds and the acting is just brilliant. Sometimes I had to stop and just be amazed by docs and sailors VO's in particular.
The sound effects in this film are also incredible and they have the perfect volume. Lucky you that the sound bug didn't strike!

OVERLAYS/MODS
---------------------

This is an extremley impressive part of this film. The mods are incredible, the custom sets are really well put-together. Even the stuff that are in-game are so well used that I have to stop and think if it's a mod or not! The overlays... What can I say? The animation is incredible and they give such essential parts to the movie. I can't even tell that it's overlays for crying out loud!

MUSIC
--------------

Last, but certainly not the least is the music. The score of this film is in epic proportions, and the music parts fits perfectly into the scenes. The music really adds to the already fantastic quality of this film.

---------------------------------------------

Nukester I can tell that you have put down 7 months into this project and really trust me on this one - it was worth it. You have proved yourself to be the best director of TMO and this achievement is outstanding... I think this movie deserves a number 1 spot, AND it deserves staying there forever. This movie should win all awards possible and it should officially become the perfect example of what one can achieve with this game. I bet the people at lionhead are proud of you! I'm also glad that you went with the Omega Engage thumbnail. Suited the film perfectly. I'm truly amazed by the contact with the moon and the many plot twists that take place in this concluding part.

Once again, The best film to hit TMO! Can't wait to get it in high quality!
Truly Funky!´Funkier than everything else!

5 Epic stars! //Towelie

Wow... what a great film. I don't think I've seen a movie on TMO come closer to feeling like an actual movie than this one.

The story was fantastic. I got a real sense of exploration while the Odyssey 2 was searching for the signal. And the General being the bad guy? Perfect. He was such an amazing character. Major props to K4Ownzall for his voice acting there. The rest of the cast did an excellent job as well.

The music and sound effects were spot on. There's really nothing I can say about them except that they were done with absolute perfection.

All in all one of, if not the best movies on this website. Give yourself a huge pat on the back for this one.

Absolutely fantastic. This is an excellent conclusion to the first part.

Firstly the editing is excellent, perfectly timed and smattered with excellent free-cam. The music was used really well adding to the mood and gave it a surely epic quality.

And Secondly the plot was just awesome, incredibly detailed character personalities. I loved the whole twist to the story... I never guessed that the General was behind the sabotage but I thought Neil Ruddock might have survived (I was close) That scene was brilliantly emotional.

That's all I can think of to say, it is an amazing conclusion.

Well first off. Wow, I sit here with my dinner and my just installed-into-my-wall screen and my roomate walks in, he thought it was a real film at first but then settled down beside me to watch....
Beacuse of you Nuke, he is buying the game. Our minds became one captivated, awe-inspired and dumbstruck wasteland.

I felt a pang of emotion for the characters, each one of them beutifully crafted in an intricate and simply epic way.
The music provided the extra *umph* to pound this film into my brain. Amazing.
It also seems like you did your homework on this as the facts were true and this element of realism added to the solid plot.

The effects were amazing too, the planet overlays did justice to thier descriptions.

The cast were, as usual, amazing. Doc and Sailor really had great Chemistry, even though they were miles apart during recording, this on-screen chemistry is Awe-Inspiring. As were the rest of the cast.

I conclusion, this sci-fi film is a true masterpeice congractualtions to everyon who participated on this project.

QUOTE: "First I was shocked, then amazed, then emotional, than awe-struck, and finally speechless."

FINAL RATING: 100% - WINNER OF THE GOLDEN FLAME AWARD APRIL 2007
