Welcome to the Hot Picked Episode One of Tainted Souls.
This episode serves as an introduction to the characters and sets the scene for what I hope will be a mind bending series.

Revealing a world within a world through the tormented mind of Ryan White.
When the barriers between what is real and what is imagined begin to crumble,
When nothing is as it seems,
When the people you trust exist only in your mind...
Then You are a Tainted Soul.

Very well done, it is a solid film from start to finish. Some of the best parts are your visuals, however, its hard to pick what part is my favorite.

The plot is deep, and raps around two characters. You did well with painting depth into characters that were well written, well acted, all around.

Another key thing you did was use a lot of visuals, they were dynamic. Of course, your voice overs were excellent, but they compounded on solid, very solid, visuals the helped link together elaborate [but well written] dialog.

Now, your voice cast was amazing, simply amazing. No actor had any poorly delivered line, and my favorite emerging actor, Goofparade, shows us why he is a master of the voice over stage and will surely assure himself a seat among the master. I would like to give him a big tip of the hat, he put a lot of effort into this role and it shows on every word! Well done to the entire voice over cast, and a nod to JosephKW for another excellent performance. You're so good so much, we nearly expect it now...

Like Mefune said, there are a few errors here and there, but you rapped it off and sent it to the moon. Great film!

GREETINGS FROM L.M.A.O. STUDIOS!

An intriguing and mysterious film!

THE GOOD: A very tantalizing horror has come to TMO. The script is interesting and full of wonderful dialog and gripping suspense. The music is so perfect for this film. Each score was right on the money for the emotion needed for each scene. The spooky sightings of the demons was brilliant, just enough to shift the mood and pull the viewer in. The acting was superb by all the cast, an excellent casting choice for this amazing series. The editing was crisp and meshed well with the story flow. The flow of this film was intelligent and well executed. The ending was riveting and gave the viewer something to savor while waiting on the next installment.

THE BAD: A couple of lines of cheesy dialog, minor editing glitches, but no nig deal.

Overall, a wonderful start to an excellent series! We look forward to the next installment!

I have reviewed countless horror films on TMO (especially since I am the head reviewer of MoMc's horror section), and I have to say I would rate this film among the top five of TMO's best horror gems...ever. It's not the scariest, it's not the most visually effects-laden, but it is one of the best nonetheless because of the perfect pacing, presentation, and character development. This is on par with a professional theatrical work--not a B movie mind you, but a true horror classic. The dialogue is brilliantly written, camera use and editing done to perfection, the use of music was exquisite, and the characters brilliantly portrayed. I do have a few minor critiques to offer, though; I thought the senior doctor was a bit too overtly degrading towards the mentally unstable father and perhaps a more subtle approach would make it seem more realistic, yet still get his true feelings towards his patients across to the viewer. One final comment I'd like to make does not actually concern the film itself, but the "to be continued" segment at the end; I thought the inclusion of the "vampire" face at that screen coupled with the demonic laugh was not needed, and was more appropriate for a B horror movie, which this film definitely is not. Those minor gripes aside, this film is one of the best on this site (of any genre) and I am downloading it for my personal archives (this is the 26th film to make my archive list--so I don't normally save films unless I think them truly worthy of keeping for future viewing). Thank you for creating such a masterwork, and I am eager to see how this story develops.

The King of Zombies is back with a brand new film. Is it good?? a resounding yes!! you managed to introduce a new fresh and interesting series that will no doubt get better with each addition. Your editting skills were a joy to watch as you managed to keep the pace and flow smooth and consistent. The use of Dialogue was an area that struck me and really excelled. I can't wait for Episode Two as you are one great Writer and I would love to collaborate with you sometime in the future, but for now...

"Things aren't always what they seem"- Robert White

This was an outddtanding film. I was engrossed throughout. The story is captivating and combines moments of horror and drama. The music and VOs flow together as one and beautifully compliment the film. I must comend JosephKW on his performance of Robert White. Perfection. This is certainly a series not to be missed.

Well, I finally was able to sit back and watch the Tainted Souls part I and man was it worth it!! I can't wait to watch part II!! The VO's, music, and story were fabulous! I really do not have anything to complain about. I love the fact that this episode really set things up, get us to know the characters before moving on to episode 2. What Ryan does from here is going to be interesting. Oh yeah, and your intro and ending scenes were fabulously done as well. Just a great piece of work here, nothing less.

You did a very good job with this one. The use of free cam gave the movie a sense of mystery. The voice overs were great and the characters were well designed. The music also helped the mood of the film. The movie does make you want to see what happens next.

This is a movie that towers in it??s achievement. It plays like a rich, deep character driven novel. Chillingly and sparingly the horror reveals itself as the story progresses. You are not inundated by ?? Them ?? but only given hints of them from the edges of Ryan??s vision. This is masterful and adds to the dread of something wonderfully horrible seeping in from all sides. What is so stunning about this film is the level of writing. First class screen ready dialog by a gifted writer who knows how to convey movie speech. Not like real life speech but in the style of the medium of cinema. This is a hard thing for most to master and when you understand how to write for the screen, you have gold.

The actors are all just terrific in this film, especially JosephKW and Rysto. Wonderful pacing and the fine tuned editing by a first class film maker set this film high above the norm. A detailed and rich tapestry, Tainted Souls is an instant classic in my book.

02 FILM REVIEW

I've always found you to be one of the most talented horror movie makers on this site, you proved this with your amazing Restless Dead series. What I admired most about that series was that you took one of the most overused horror plots on this site, zombies, and morphed into something seemingly fresh and more original than half the movies on this site comvined. However after five those movies I have to confess I did want to see you move on a bit, to see you try your hand at another genre, or at least try a different series. Well during my brief leaving period from TMO you decided to that, and now I've returned I've found a series that is suprsingly even better than the Restless Dead movies. What I liked most about this first part of this series is the fact its clearly a set up, and I admire you for that fact. This movie is setting up the characters, the storyline, and I'm very much aware that in the next entries this series is going to develop even further, possibly getting very dark judging by the ending of this entry. This movie is basically a lot of talking, yet the dialogue is so smoothly written and so expertly done its difficult not to feel entranced by the movie. Those fourteen minutes went by as quick as possible, I was basorbed into the storyline, wondering what was going to happen next. You've developed a set of three dimensional characters that I genuinely can't wait to see what happens to them next. In terms of a first entry and a set up this is as good as you can hope for to get the audience immersed into this world. Its not specifically a horror movie, in fact at times it did feel a bit like a drama. Which is always a good thing as I personaly love seeing horror directiors incorporate drama into their movies, it seems to give it a bit realism and makes the enjoyment factor greater.

Let me also congratulate you on a pitch perfect cast. Generaly this is always a weak link in a voice cast, there's usualy always one, no matter how small a role, that delivers a line that sounds odd, or has an accent that never truly suits the character. However the cast here is simply amazing. Not one of actor I can complain about. I especially congratulate Rysto and JosephKw, both who do an amazing job as the father and the son. Both of the characters are very rich and interesting. I honestly cannot wait to see what happens to both of their characters. The dream and hospital meeting sequence was especially well written and displayed the two actors talents to the full. Also I liked the way even the smaller members of the cast, Dulci and Postmodernchuck in their relatively small roles, they had room to breave. The delivered their lines with skill for characters who so far haven't done very much. Yet the characters seem rounded as a result of the performances, leading me to believe they will be of some importance later on in the series. The rest of the cast were still absolutely brilliant.

The storyline of the movie also had me gripped for the entire fourteen minute length. It seems a bit different from your average horror movie, mainly because I didn't ever feel it had a reliance on scares. While the movie had tonnes of atmosphere, and had a couple of semi-shock moments designed to make the audience feel a bit creeped out or wondering what was going on, the movie relied generaly on captivating the audience with the rich storyline and characters. In that respect the movie succeeded very well. As I've previously stated the movie is basically a lot of talking, but that worked since the talking has set up the characters so well that I am certain in the future episodes we shall be ready for proper stuff and proper horror to occur. I also adored your sound track, I'm not actually sure whether the track changed at all, or if it did it was done so subtely I never noticed. The soundtrack was simply beautiful, it worked very well alongside the scenes and it was nice to see you avoid using cheesy horror tracks that are designed to unsettle but generaly just make me roll my eyes.

Overall this is a horror movie well worth checking out and I will be sure to watch the sequels to this as soon as I get some spare time. Nice to see you create a series that is even better than your Reestless Dead series, I never dreamt that possible. This proves what I already knew, you are an extremely talented film maker, see I've done a whole review without even mentioning about your camera work as well. Well I'll quickly chuck that in, some of the best camera work on this site, there we go that's that added in. Oh if anyones reading this just watch the movie, its well worth it.

A FREDTHEDUCK REVIEW

Plot: 15/15 - you obviously put a lot of thought into that plot, I will not stop guessing at what happens next until I have seen the second! Awesome, man, truely awesome.

Suspense: 8/10 - not really any big shocks, but there was a lot of build up. . . I suppose possibly one shock, but there could have been maybe one more.

Scary Rating: 9/10 - Its a shame that I have to go to bed right after seeing that, because it WILL keep me up all night...

VOs: 15/15 - I loved these VOs, the whole cast was excellent! I particularly enjoyed where I thought that the doctor was beginning to get a bit of an echo, but then it disappeared, and then came back again...it played with my mind. A lot.

Custom content: 12/15 - although I saw a lot of custom content, you used the default flashback cloud . . . which has been seen almost too often.

Editing: 15/15 - I can't fault you on your editing, it was spot on.

Music/sfx: 9/10 - I loved the music and sound effects in this movie, they were amazing, and perfet for the movie. I especially enjoyed the footstep sounds in the corridor, which did make me feel like something was about to happen. The only criticism I can really make is that the music did not stop. There needs to be an occasional gap, bu since the music suited the movie so well, I can let that go ;)

The wow factor: 10/10 - Simply amazing.

TOTAL: 93% - 5 star!

I decided to watch the first two parts of this before seeing part 3 and realised I hadn't reviewed then first time aroung. Sorry about that. Now, what can I say that hasn't been said before? Not a lot probably: only that I thoroughly enjoyed this, and great curtain raiser for a good looking series. It's certainly got me intruiged as to what is going to unfold.
A last word on the music. I loved the piece with the female vocal, must find that on the site. Good job.

Review Trader.

Nice movie. Good use of music and Voice over. I liked the free cam work as well.

The story was well done with good atmosphere. A bit slow in some parts, but the editing was well done with pretty good pacing throughout.

Do guys really have diaries?

Neat movie poster as well.

I have no idea what is going on, but I wish to find out. The plot was sufficiently creepy enough to be classed as horror, whilst not revealing anything solid throughout the entire 14 minutes running time. I just watched a zombie flick which revealed the monsters in the second scene, an appalling disregard for the unwritten rules of horror movies, but this had no troubles in that department.

Dialogue was a bit shaky. For one thing the characters occasionally repeated a word in the same sentence, (the priests speech wasn't convincing) and another is the level of realism played by doctor Vincent in which he treats his patient in an appalling manner, criticizing Robert with another doctor whilst in Robert's presence. Whether this has something to do with the strange creature which replaced his image as Ryan looked at him, I can only guess at this point.

There were some neat little sound effects thrown in like footsteps, and bed springs, every little helps. Music was epic.

Voiceovers were pretty good overall, I didn't like all of them but the majority were agreeable. Some may find Robert's voice particularly strange, but I thought it ended up suiting him quite nicely.

Tainted Souls I, you see them, they'll come for you...

Only one thing to say ; all films that manage to give me goose bumps are worthy of my 5 stars. And for that to happen, it usually needs a great plot, a good use of music, VO's and/or subtitles, as well as a nice use of free cam. Oh, also forgot the captivating touch ! Unlucky for me, this film has all of it, and because of this, I can't find anything bad to say about it :p. Keep up the good work ^^

An absolutely excellent film. The voice acting was especially well done and truly brought the characters to life. Your camera work is so smooth; it makes my films look like a gorilla was filming them. The story is engaging and spooky. This is the type of horror movie a lot of us who enjoy this genre strive to make, but fail miserably. You nailed it! Bravo!

Incredible imagery grips you right away. However, sometimes it felt a little too slow. It is sort of an unpolished epic in that I think the overall story could have been sped up a bit, 14 minutes may be too long.

But this paranoya story wins me over. I can't help it. It is very well done. The story is one that many can relate to. Most have had a family member in a similar situation. It is tough to deal with, to say the least.

I'm trying to be harsh because of how you reviewed my movie "baggage boy" but I just can't. Jokes aside, this is very well done, one of my favorites on TMO to date.

Did you credit all your mods? Okay last critique for you 1 starring my Baggage Boy movie.

(please note that's a joke. This is an incredible movie, so well done, don't miss it. I look forward to the next episode.)

Visually the film is great, mods and editing are first rate as is freecam. Looking forward to the next installment

First the thing I have to say is that the custom camera use was amazing some of the best I have seen. Must have taken some time to do and it shows because they are good.

The title card was a nice addition I liked how the camera moved over and then faded out as it reached the other side.

The music was effective and helped set the mood of the scenes well it give each scene a different feel.

I liked the use of props as well it helped dress sets that are normaly bare and make it looked used, and the use of beds and first aid kits created a convicing hospital from a corridor.

The story was interesting nice build up through out the movie giving few details out to make you want more. It will be nice when I see the next part get some of the questions answered. I thought were you left it was a good place because it really makes you want to watch the next part.

Well that was a disjointed review but as you can gather from them ramblings I enjoyed it and its easily a 5 star movie.

One of the most solid, mesmerizing and brilliant films I've seen. The direction that jameseva puts into the first part of "Tainted Souls" can be clearly seen...its outstanding use of freecam and visual styles grab you and pull you in. Combined with one of the finest and lingering scripts on TMO, "Death, Doctors and Dreams" is an outstanding hybrid that never ceases to amaze the viewer.

The voice-acting was excellent. Josephkw, Rysto, Goofparade, Dulci, Mrs. Rysto, Postmodernchuck, Bricksfilms and Artorious make up a spectacular cast. And every single actor seems to develop their characters impeccably and to an amazingly fine point. The editing is seamless and just fires at you relentlessly...the final presentation seems almost completely clean of flaws. This movie is INCREDIBLE.

A great film!

The editing was flawless, and the camera angles and colors really helped to create an excellent mood. The music helped this movie a lot since it created an atmosphere and made the characters feelings so much stronger. The script was very well written and the entire movie had awesome voice overs. The suspense built up and so many questions are left unanswered.

This is amazing and your cast, well you got some of the biggest names on TMO here. The VOs were brilliant and excellently edited, the dialog was brilliant.
The plot is just superb, I still don't know what is really going on. Guess I'll have to wait for the next one then. You obviously put a lot of thought into this.
The music was excellently placed, it helped give the feel of each scene.
The character development was superb, I really started to hate that evil Dr Vincnet.
A well deserved 5 stars, if your next movie is as good then you are going down in TMO history my friend, Hot piks number 1s and awards await you!

That was amazing! Brilliant! Bring this film a hotpick at once!

Story (10) - The story itself was beautiful, and very emotional. You managed to blend the horror of having his mother die and his father in a mental assylum, and keep a gentle romantic touch. The way I was forced to feel so sorry for the main character was freakishly strong. It's hard for us viewers of movies not to feel greatly for a character who has everything going against him.

Originality (9) - I don't think I've really seen anything like it to be fair. Certainly in this sort of genre there is nothing as good. It was really quite a classical and typical horror episode, yet it was highly original, and totally different.

VOs/Subs (10) - That was one of the best performances from one of the best casts I've ever seen on TMO. The VOs were all perfectly balanced, and nobody made any errors, there was no popping or scratching, and the dialogue itself was superbly written. Although the VAs deserve recognition for there wonderful performances, it's youor brilliant script that makes this movie.

Music (10) - From the start the music was very powerful, and effective. Inside the first 30 seconds, even as the credits were still rolling I could very much feel that this was going to be a very sad and difficult tale, by the effect of the wonderful music. Throughout the music barely changed, but that was good, because it was exactly the right music for this movie.

Editing (10) - The scenes in this film looked to have been made for your movie. You might say well yes I chose them, but usually when you watch a movie you'll see some scenes that could have, in real like movie-making, been replaced with something better. Your movie didn't seem to have any of those scenes. They all flowed very fluently, and so did the dialogue.

Set Dressing & Props (10) - There were some fine examples of props and set dressing even from the first scene when the camera panned out from a rose on the coffin, which set the scene for an emotional journey. Not only did you use a lot of good props (the hospital bedroom, another good example), but you used them effectively, and they were all added for purpose, not just some random prop placement to make it look nice. Also it felt like you had a really large graveyard set (which I presume you don't), when there was a field with tombstones, where the girls were talking. That worked really well too, so full credit for that.

Camerawork (9) - Again this department was also practically flawless. I say that as there were a few shifts as the camera did long flowing scenes, for instance in the graveyard at the start, but on the whole they would very good. The first pan out from the rose was wonderful in setting the tone of the movie, and I liked the scene when the doctor burst into his father's room. I felt that scene worked particularly well.

Backdrops/Overlays (10) - I think you used backdrops for your crerdits from what I can see, and it worked really well. The camera was allowed to pan across a poster of the film, practically in the dark and it was very effective. You also used a backdrop of a castle which added a gothic element to the film, which I liked. You only really used overlays for his flashbacks, which was fine as they were very good flashbacks. Good job.

Genre Feel (9) - Generally superb, you drop a single marks because I wasn't really scared greatly, but I was moved by the characters and the whole film, and I have to say it was very difficult not to feel like you were in the film, feeling his emotions.

Mods & That Something Extra (10) - Your something extra comes from an all round brilliant film, that will surely become an all round brilliant series. I'm sure chart success and hotpicks beckon, so good luck in the future.

97/100 - Congratulations that's a definite 5 stars, as well as a Big Cheese Award, and I'll definitely be bookmarking this film, for future reference.

Well I must admit that I am a bit disappointed..
Because after seing a while ago the trailer of tainted souls, I found it really promising, and I expected something completely different..
Your posters are so great, with an incredible personnality, but the film itself has not a lot of personnality, to my eyes.

First off, the sets, and the visuals are really common to what we can see around here, and the script is not that original.
But anyway, this movie is really interesting, because it could be improved on a lots of points, but we can see here a very good potential!

There are some rythmic problem, in fact you have put a very sweet and effective music all along the movie, but we are always on the same rythm, there are no variations, no nuances, and the music is never put of, by example when the chief doctor takes a devil head, that's not impressive at all, or you could make it something really frightening, after adding effective sound effects, and stoping the music, you see.

Then, I don't find the characters very very charismatic for the moment, you have chosen greats vo's as Josephkw or Goofparade, and pmc, and dulci but I was'nt very attached to them, I wasn't into your film in fact.

On technical aspects, I can say you have done a solid job, well there are some little mistakes sometimes in the film(especially in the beginning), with some free cam movements who had no sense, and who ended to nowhere, but it's very pleasant to watch anyway for a tmo film!

About the script, I think I have understood the essential, as being not a english native person, it was really easy to understand, so it proves that you really have a solid narrative talent!

Anyway, I found that the beginning was really great, what I think is that this movie deserved more impact(especially for the ending, an ending of an episode must be breathtaking to oblige people to follow the series), it could have been a great eye catching movie, but it stays a very interesting and pleasant first part to watch, and for sure I'll be there for the next part, james, good luck ! ;-)

Nothing short of a horror masterpiece...

This series has brought new vision to what a
horror can be on this site. I love the fact
you stepped out of the overused themes of this
genre and relieved us of our tortured eyes. Now
we can sit and watch once again a movie that
not only entertains, but motivates and teaches.
I hope you understand what you have done for this
with this film, and may you do this plenty of
times with the upcoming sequels.

Memorandem Dies Irae, oh lost souls! A very nice movie, creepy at times, scary at times

The Upsides:

The Plot - Well excersized, creepy and making you wonder who's crazy and who's not...

The Scene and setting - Oh, sweet. Use of Freecam and emphasizing, editing the scens and all that is top stuff! Well done!

VOs - Most of them are pretty brilliant.

The Downsides:

The Music - during the entire movie, the same mourning music goes on and on... While it's perfect for the preliminary funeral scene, it then becomes totally out of context, severely diminishing the effect of the plot and visual input...

Realism - uh... see... the way Dr. Vincent speaks, both in front of a patient, to a patient and in front of visitors is simply appaling. Psychiatrists tend to cultivate an air of professionalism around them, which both allows them to look down on their patients and appear to know better than the visitors.. The way Dr. Vincent speaks, like some simpleton from next door, insulting and demeaining his patient publically... that's simply not acceptable.

All in all - Great 1st episode... Work on the downsides and no doubt Episode 2 would be a smash hit. I'll be happy to continue reviewing the next episodes as they come out :)

So many people on TMO rely on zombies or serial slasher killers for their horror movies, thats not to say there hasn't been any good movies using those two plot types, but this movie goes proves you can make horror without them. Well Done.

Great film!

A journey into schizophrenia or the beginning of a journey into the unknown. The scene is set up excellently for us to find out.
An excellent script is pulled off with an excellent cast and the music adds a strange and soulful mood enhanced by some excellent freecam work.

A strong genre film with a solid foundation. I wasnt even aware it was 14 min, it was so well paced. Some of the dialog felt unrealistic or a little out place, but nothing that would really hamper this film. I was a little confused with the doctor laughing, but his lines were much more serious. Otherwise,it did feel like this was a horror film without any of the cliche's people use. You manage to make a supernatural story fit into the everyday world, and thats no easy venture. I did notice that the lighting was pretty stock, and a few scenes would benefit from both filters and or more unique camera placement, but again, none of these things took away from the end result. I did feel that the VO of Dr. Vincent sounded "tinny" or "hollow" not as a result of the acting, but the recorded sound itself. Across the board, the VO talent was on the mark. No question.

Regarding music, let the silence work for you, for when you make a film like this and you take the road you have taken, less will be more in some circumstances. Its what we dont hear that cane be scary in a "mind[naughty word!]" like this one. Overall, I see the inner workings of a clever and well produced ongoing tale that will no doubt have an audience, and I'll be one of those who tunes in next week. A very solid project. 5 stars, all more than well earned by the cast and crew of this production.

I'm blown away Jameseva! You've made a really good thriller!! I really enjoyed it, from start to finish. The story was very well written, it had a lot of things going on. It was paced so well. The characters were excellent, i liked them all. BTW, the cast was astonishing!! The music was an excellent fit.
I loved your camera-work in this movie, it was so artistic and each shot was so well done and you edited them very well. The editing was very good.
Your use of sets was excellent and you really made this movie so damn well.
The sound-effects were excellent too, great selections!!!
Overall, i'm really amazed with this movie, from the guy who made the "Restless dead" series, it's really great to see you making movies that are very different from each-other James and do them so well. I love that aspect of a director that is so great at making movies that he make new films which are unique and different from what he has previously done. You've done that and more! You're excellent at making horror thrillers, this film is a great example and so is the "Restless Dead" series. Fab work, loved it, so, so good.

Very good start to this story - the 15 minutes flew by.
Well acted and well defined characters. I liked the good-doctor, bad-doctor thing. Nice hospital backdrop too.

Camerawork was good, but for the soundtrack this film was certainly guilty of "sonic wallpapering". Far too much music that served no purpose (it was non-stop wasn't it?). True, it never overpowered the VO, but it seemed to be unnecessary in many dialogue scenes, often not matching the mood of the conversation. I think it's a good rule of thumb for directors to imagine that they have to pay $10 per second for music. We'd soon see it used only when absolutely necessary (during the setting of the scene and at key dramatic moments).

Apart from that, there's no doubting this is an excellent film.

Story: 10/10 A wonderful story! This is sure to become another big hit from your studio. I can't wait for the follow up. It had a great beginning middle and ending. Even though this is only the beginning of the entire story, I have to give this 10 out of 10.

Music: 5/5 Great music. It really was good! Nice selection and everything.

VO/Subs: 13/10 This is the best voice over cast I have heard in a long time. Excellent job!

Extras: 6/5 Freecam was great! The mods were awesome. Overall a job well done.

Editing: 15/15 A great movie! Just the right length. The scene transition was perfect and there all around excellence! GREAT WORK!!!

James, that really messed with my mind, I may begin to have the same dreams that Ryan White has been experiencing. This is probably the most powerful genre, the most though provoking, instead of scaring people's socks off, you mess with thier minds.

But anyway, where do I start? first of all the freecam and voices were spectacular, you carefully thought through every shot, the film flowed so well, it shows you take time in your films, something I really should start on.

Then there was the music, clearly you have thought through your score well, as it kept to the principal rule of film music, always keep it to the mood of the scene, you never had a song out of place. Then we move on to Custom content, like those title backdrops and overlays, although a bit dated (They were in previous horrors of yours) fit really well with the fog effects.

And I liked the last bit, the evil laugh, it would send a five year old's brain into a blender, down the toilet and in the rat infested sewer.

This is definetly your best film yet Jameseva, and I can only wait until the next episode.

Tainted Souls I is a terrific beginning to what I believe will be interesting series. Creator, jameseva, lures you into the story with slow character developement and a script that presents the viewer questions to ponder. The over used term "buddy" in the dialog is forgiveable because this segment of the story begins a slow spin toward thecenter of the plot. The dialog itself is presented in a steady and calm fashion which at times drags a little and could use an injection of emotions in my opinion but this too does not detract greatly from the tale. All-in-all, another well done film from this studio with an interesting and creative journey for the viewer about to begin.

Excellent engrossing TMO horror-drama, with a great ensemble cast! I was very much hooked from the start as the story unfolded. This is an example of how a solid story makes for such enjoyable TMO experiences. The direction is steady and keeps our attention throughout, while the editing is very efficient, keeping anything extraneous to a minimum.

A few minor quibbles? The music was a bit repetitive. Also, I felt that Ryan??s reaction to the situation with Robert and the doctor ?? especially after his vision ?? was a bit weaker than I??d expect. I think most normal people would freak out much more.

But quibble aside, the table has been set for another great series, potentially even topping the Restless Dead. And I am certainly on for the ride!

Wow. Restless dead was good but this just blows it away. Very well done! Something we haven't seen before. Those angel costumes are hardly used in movies so it's good to see you getting some use out of them :) Using different VA is a big improvement. I'm really glad you made that decision.

My words can't even begin to graze the surface of this fascinating production.

This story is so fragile, most TMO directors would faint at the prospect of pulling this off. But you tackled it with depth, poise, and perfection. At this point in the story, we think we may understand what is happening...but as Robert points out, "things aren't always what they seem." The utter brilliance of the script is enough alone to earn this 5 stars.

But story alone cannot carry a film...technical aspects are just as vital. Here, you nailed every technical hurdle that came your way, from spectacular editing to music pieced together with perfection. Astounding work.

And finally, your VO cast was flawless. Never have I seen such a shining group of VO actors, from josephkw's haunting portayal of Robert White to Artorious' magnificent stature as Dr Vincent. From each challenge bore an outstanding performance. Kudos to the cast...

Wow. What an excellent film. You are master of the medium, my friend.

After creating one of the most story- and character-driven zombie series on TMO,it is no surprise that you succeed with your newest work, which allows you to fully concentrate on your storytelling talents. You have great sense for the right length of a scene and every new scene seemed to really add something to the development of the story. At this moment it´s not clear where the story is going, but I find the topic to be very interesting.
Besides story and characters the camera work was great too and really impressed me at the beginning of the graveyard scene.
I also like to give credit to the voice actors, who did a brilliant job here. Not only was all dialogue in good quality and easy to understand - the acting itself was also very good.

The only mistake I could find was when the son was walking with dr Warner through the corridor, he passed thru the bed standing under wall :) but I guess it was a small sacrifice to better look of the corridor.
