Film Description
This horror-thriller tells of a man, William Battley, who is conflicted by insane hallucinations, haunted by a mysterious man. In effort to cure William of his insanity, his bitter, alcoholic brother, Henry, sends him to an imposing and creepy psychiatrist known as Dr. Crane. Who is the mystery man in William's dreams? Will Dr. Crane be able to help, or will he simply send William over the edge? These questions lie in...INSANITY!

A few other things to say: If you spot a supposed "continuity error" or "goof", it isn't. It's intentional, to show Battley's insanity. That excuse right there is half the reason I made this movie in the first place. This is a far cry from my first uploaded movie, the sci-fi/adventure The Nebula Crisis. I felt like being a little more serious. So, I hope you enjoy this film. I enjoyed making it. Keep your eyes open for Insanity--Part 2!

I'll agree with most of the other reviews. This definitely has promise, but the lacking in the sound dept really detracts from the overall quality of the film. I would definitely go with VOs for something like this, and perhaps some different music choices (either custom or there are some good selections in-game). The lack of good sound and the choice of music really made this seem like a silent film.

On the other hand I thought you showed his insanity really well. The cinematography, especially the camera angles, was very done and is something you should be proud of. All in all it was a pretty good flick.

I won't talk about the sound & music, everything has been said heh :p ... I really like the camerawork and the story, also little diting tricks kept me interested until the end and hoping for a second part coming soon...
Feel free to PM me when you release it! :)

Overall a great movie, the tension really builds and the cuts between reality and the horror of his mind are fantastic.

As others have mentioned the sound did spoil parts of the movie as it detracted from what was happening by making me wonder what had happened to the sound. If that was fixed it would have got a 5.

Please let me know when part 2 is out.

Music -- Good selection of music but halfway through the film it went quiet killing the drama of the film...

Sound Effects-- Should say lack of, unfortunately there weren't many sound effects at all... driving, screaming, ect... Was very surprised...

Storyline-- Very good story line about a man having horrible visions... Makes you wonder is this future events, does he become a killer are any of these characters real...

Subtitles-- Good use of subtitles clear and fluent... Some scenes had talking scene but no subtitles....

Free Cam-- Excellent use of free cam, with multiple angel shot (not just random) making the film interesting...

Overall the films storyline was excellent but the technical errors deteriorated the viewing experience... Looking forward too part 2....

It was good in parts but the lack of sound in most of the movie really hurt its entertainment value. It may be only 5 minutes but 3-4 minutes were without sound and the movie had the feel of a silent movie instead of something professional. The story idea was good but the horrible sound quality brought this movie down.

An intensely creepy movie, making extensive use of Freecam to get the audienece cringing

The Upsides -

The use of FreeCam has been amazing. From the opening scene to the Psychiatrist's door, the Freecam is worth a whole star simply for itself. Kudos for the finest use of Freecam I have seen yet around here

The plot - It may not be something innovative but it's well performed. Subs were moving at readable speed.

Scene and setting - Those maddening jumps between the real world and the hallucinative one were so freakishy scary I wanted to cry... Good job!

Editing - very nice cutting. the Werewolf change scene was amazing :)

The Downside -

The soundplay (or lack thereof) - This is a two-sided sword, both increasing and decreasing the rating. The fact large parts of the movie are mute with dramatic sound coming in whenever you flash something important does add to the overall creepiness but the parts without sound are too long and become a bit uncomfortable. I'd suggest adding some scene that calls for a dramatic sound and a bit of music in the middle of the mute part to shake that problem out

Overall -I'll never tell dementia jokes again after seeing this one. Be sure to PM me when part 2 comes out.

GREETINGS FROM L.M.A.O. STUDIOS!
Reviewing by JennyN

Oh sorry but this was just a very unpolished movie. I wanted it to do well, but the missing sound just ruined it. Now the story itself is pretty interesting and the end made me sit up. I hope that you take suggestions well, as I suggest getting some VA's and add essential sound. Without them your films will remain in a lower class than the rest. Hahaha, just saw Mefune said the same thing. Yes, PM MefuneAkira and we will help you on the sequel if you like!

A very promising Thriller which I enjoyed from start to finish. This shows your potential and style as a film maker on TMO. I look forward to see Part 2 hopefully with a little more music in it!

Good thing there's a part 2 or else I'd have an Anxiety Attack, lol. Really good ending which I like a lot, the plot was really good in my opinion. When Part 2 is out I will have to see who the mysterious man is that is in Will's hallucinations. What prevented this movie though from getting 5 stars was that the audio just gave out for awhile halfway through the movie. Movies should have audio all around but the plot is what maintained this to a 4-star rating.

GREETINGS FROM L.M.A.O. STUDIOS!

THE GOOD: The story itself is intriguing and interesting. The editing was crisp and tight. The dialog was believable and well written. The music, although in game, was well placed for the most part. Love the camera pan reveling the hallucination in the backs seat?or was it another hallucination or real.

THE BAD; Missing sound effects can leave a film feeling extremely empty. Other sound flaws affected this film immensely, killed it really. Some subtitles were a bit too fast so we had to rewind and watch again, and that took us out of the captive feeling filmmakers want from their viewers. This film also needed more music to carry the eerie feeling you were looking for.

SUGGESTIONS ON FUTURE FILMS: Add custom music, speaking for ourselves as a veteran studio, we have heard ALL of the in-game music before, so you film doesn??t stand out in the music dept. Slow down the subtitles a bit or better yet, get yourself some VA??s on the forums. Our actors are always willing to help out, send us a PM and we can go from there! A decent film can get away with no sound, but with your talent as a potentially great filmmaker, polish up your film with the appropriate sounds. (doors, cars, walking and so on)

Overall we liked this film, but needed more polish. We look forward to the next installment!

This was a great movie! HOWEVER!!! I didn't like the choice to make it silent. It did not help the movie really. I did think your did a great job! It was good and I can't wait for part 2!

Well, I liked how you use some odd things and sounds, cutting and such to create a strange effect, a horror-post-production effect basicly. It brings quite some ideas to me and new perspectives. But it's not finished yet, it should be perfected a bit and maybe with some custom sounds and soundtracks the effect could be maximized. I'm also a music producer so i'll try to get something like that done myself :-)

So I think the idea is really very good, and opens doors for other movie producers, but the actual movie could have been done better. This is of course due to some limitations in the movies itself, but even then, when putting really a lot of work into it, I believe some really strange movies could be made.
Good luck with your next horror ;-)
