Film Description
Agent Quinn returns to the big screen again in the brand new movie
"Sometimes you die twice".

The latest weapon of the United States is missing and an evil genius is threatening the world again, then only one man can save the world again, Agent Quinn.

Starring:
k4 as Doctor Blofinger
kwistufa as Mister Lee and as Submarine Lt.
sisch as Svetlana Imanova
postmodernchuck as The Chief
EthanRunt as Boris
thebaloob123's Dad as Professor Itaku and as Bad Guy #4
pookashells as Captain of the Submarine
jezzball91 as Airport Employee
and Lkuey and myself as Bad Guys

Agent Quinn's voice was created through "Textaloud" from Nextup.com together with the voice "Daniel" from Scansoft. The software and the voice was purchased and licensed to use.

It contains a lot of custom stuff as usual. :)

The submarine prop is available on 8eyedbaby.com:
http://8eyedbaby.com/8eyedCM/content/displayMods.php?ModID=1625

Other mods used in this movie by:
Fraasmovies, JohanSturk, MarvellousGuppiMovies, Tigereyes, Lizard, MelGhoul.
Sorry if I've forgot someone. :)

The soundtrack was partially custom made with Magix Music Maker and the following tracks are royalty free licensed (A-License from Productiontrax.com for the themes): "Double O" by Patrick Smith, "Propellerheads" by Shane McKenzie. The Themesong is from Norine Braun "Persephone" which is available at magnatune.com. This Song was purchased and falls under "non-commercial" use.

And by the way: The montone voice of Agent Quinn is his trademark, so I will never change it, unless the fans are asking for it. As for now the fans of Agent Quinn are just loving this voice because it brings some laughter up.

The Agent Quinn movies aren't intend to be only a Bond spoof, they are parodies on different spy movies from the sixties!

Great story!!! Excellent modding, especially the submarine. May I use the submarine in a future project I'd like to do one day? I'd give you (or whoever) proper credit of course. Great music, great prop use and costuming. very nice VO's (even though I could tell Quinn's voice was synthesized, it was still well done for synthesized voices). I enjoyed the stuntwork and camera work too. The little quirky jokes, and character names made for a very 007'ish type of film and a well done movie overall. Thank you for providing me with some time well spent.

Ambitious and largely successfull with load of nice little touches and a very involved storyline. The Quinn voice was odd and amusing and I thought it worked in a weird way. Loved the credits. Loved Mister Lee. Action is difficult and some of the action here dragged but overall this was an excellent doubleO flick.

So, what??s the title again? ;)

Whether this is ??Sometimes You Never Die?? or ??Sometimes You Die Twice??, it??s a pretty fun Bond spoof regardless. I did frequently feel the pacing was off, but primarily at the scene level, rather than the story level. The overall story is pretty good, and there are some reasonably funny moments.

The decision to use a computer-generated voice for Quinn turned out not so bad, in the end. I was very struck by this through the first half of the film. But the helicopter / car chase scene sold it for me ?? having him monotonously deliver one-liners during scenes like this was damned funny!

Overall enjoyment: 30/35. I generally quite liked this, particularly the overall concept and story. The pacing of several action scenes, and what I felt to be a somewhat incomplete ending, did reduce my enjoyment some. But I definitely would look forward to seeing another chapter here.

Editing: 24/30. On an individual scene basis, I had quite a few issues with the editing here. There were many times that something would happen, and the very next shot the entire scene seemed to change. I??ll be talking about this in my suggestions area. The one scene in the plane was a good attempt, but I felt the camera angles could have used more work to hide the fact it was a just a modded car.
Music is used quite well here almost all the way through. The scene where he meets Svetlana, it is a tiny bit loud ?? not quite enough to drown out the voices, but a distraction nonetheless. Most of the sound editing seemed smooth, except for the plane scene again. It was too clearly the sound of a car. I??ll talk about this in my suggestions area as well.

Production Value: 15/15. Fantastic work all around on the production quality! Costumes, props, and use of sets is excellent. There are some scenes that I??m not immediately certain how you pulled off here. While I felt a closing credits sequence would have been nice, the opening title and credits were more than enough to ensure a perfect score here. Great work!

Characters: 9/10. Some very fun characters here, from Quinn to Blofinger to Svetlana. There were a few moments I raised an eyebrow with the way characters reacted, but some of this was due to the editing concerns I had.

Dialog: 7/10. While there was some witty banter, and some moments of good dialog? There were also some scenes that felt a bit simplistic on the dialog front. The opening exchange in the office, for example, felt awkward to me.

Total: 85/100.

4 stars.

My suggestions: Regarding the visual editing, there seemed to be a lot of visual cues that were missing. This was particularly true in the latter half of the film, and mostly during action scenes. One prime example: When Mr. Lee is ordered to kill Quinn. ??Understood!?? *laughs* And then he??s just sitting there on the ground, basically waiting for Quinn to get up after having been tortured. There simply needs to be more here. There are a number of other scenes that I felt had similar issues.

About the airplane scene and the sound of the car engine? For a production of this scale, you might consider taking your sound editing outside the game to avoid these little details. Here??s one way you might think about doing this. Export your movie once with ambience turned on; again with sound effects turned on. Edit the sound in some external editor, bringing together all elements into one sound file (per major scene). Then bring them in on the music track, and for your final export turn off ambience and sound effects. It??s a fair bit of work to do all this, but it will give you exactly the sound you want!

That was one great spy movie. You really know how to make a great film, together with voice and cool sets, for not talking about the caracthers.
Cool Movie.

The movie was good, the only comment I have to make it that the English accent was terrible. I don't think any English man sounds like that, and if they do, they should be embarrased.

Agent Quinn's vo was the only thing that i found hard to take to in the film, it didn't really flow, it was more like he was pronouncing the lines which made the one liners kinda flat. But other than that the rest was fantastic. You really know your bond movies.

The opening was rough for me, the music wasn't loud enough to build tension and yet not enough action was going on that we were immersed into an interesting world. The volume of the music hurt the scene, and in an action film that should start off dragging us to the edge of our seats without letting go, you missed an important mark.

The plot wasn't strong, a lot of your voice overs were great but I still think that the character Agent Quinn needs a personable voice. Many of your voice overs were great, but for example when Quinn says "Giant Asian" without emotion it removes you from the moment of danger and diffuses the entire situation. Also, when coordinating voice overs make sure they know the name of the villain, as your actors pronounced "Blowfinger" differently, it again detracts realism from the film.

During the car chase your visuals were good, but your sound effects were excellent. My only issue, is that no government would dispatch an agent without insuring a car that obviously would come under fire. Its a minor flaw but made me laugh a bit. Overall, the visuals for the car scene were good, but the sound effects were excellent. They truly made the whole scene.

Dialog in some parts wasn't good... you missed the mark of climax a few times. About 9:59 you've set up a great scene, the hero which we truly care for on the mission we know is important meets the evil villain, a well voiced tyrant. Yet, at 10:17 he says "big" and I don't know if it is just me, but it seems well out of place. The dialog for that rambling is well written, and it is well spoken and then it just cuts. "This will cause a flood the likes of Armageddon" "This will cause a flood that will drown the world my power" Something dramatic was so well needed and I feel missed. Other moments like this happen within the film, but I think that is the best specific example.

About 11:26 you use some good music, solid moment and a well crafted comeback. About 12:12 the teller at the bank mumbles something about Hangar 4, and I believe the salutation ends with -Mr. Bone" Or was that just me :D

Obviously the visuals of the film were top rate, classic mod use and a visual appeal only the big budget boys can bear to see, but you didn't grossly overused mods, you used them to craft your dreams. Well Done.

Again, the film overall was well made. You have a few prop errors [he walks out from a corner without a helmet but had one minutes before, etc] and minor details that really only the trained eye could even spot, they don't take down the quality of your masterpiece at all. I advise any Bond fan to sit down for this film, it is a classic addition to the Bond spin-offs TMO has, except I believe its the best I've seen in ages. Great Film.

Geeze, that just kept on going didn't it? Well, having the lead actor's voice come from a text-to-speech program is a mistake, one point off. And the script was less than that of a James Bond film, which i consider 'B' grade at best, so another point off. 3 for a good film.

Been a huge fan of agent quinm since day 1...and it just keeps getting better!

Some truly excellent custom work on display here that gives the movie a true bond-esque atmosphere.

Great VO work by everyone, particularly k4 and sisch.

Nice befitting music choices and of course, that ever monotone voice of Quinn, which has me in tears of laughter everytime he says b*****d!

Glad you're still with TMO spaceman...hope to see more of this great series soon:-)

excellent movie, nice story and I have to say: agent quinn is cooler than bond, in my mind.

I liked the beginning when the soldiers come down to the sub, and take it over, you portrayed that very well, it is one of the many things that kept me intrigued. The storyline was a perfect blend of creativity and espionage thriller, which I also enjoyed a lot. great film! great job!

It's got all the elements needed for a good movie of this type. I really liked all the custom stuff, especially the submarine. Dr. Blofinger and his Asian cohort were CLASSIC! I liked that Quinn had more jokey-jokes than that other guy. I wasn't crazy about Quinn's voice-over. Plus, is he British? Is he American?

Spaceman72,
I must say your Quinn movies are spectacular! You should create a Quinn with more drama, like Quinn having a sidekick on the mission and he falls in love with her and she betrayls him. Just saying.
