Film Description
FINALLY RELEASED! This is my best thriller yet!
Please be prepared for the graphic nature of this movie.

PLEASE DO NOT read reviews before hand. There ARE spoilers. The twist is the BEST part.

Isn't it so cool how its is 21 minutes and 21 seconds long? Awesome...

Now on a sidenote, before we start, I'd like to just tell you that there is a slight sound synch problem in this release, and it is something that I spent hours on last night trying to repair. The problem did get better, however it is not fully solved. All the reviewers so far have said it is not noticeable at all. Just be prepared for it when car doors close and whatnot...

Oh yeah and there is one scene where the dead girl is blinking. This is another bug that there is not possible way I could have solved it. It just happened that way. I reshot the scene three times....nothing. So yeah, blame TM game, not me! =P

And now for the description :)

This is the horror/thriller genre made hopefully to have you on the edge of your seat for the entire running time.

Now, if you're here you may have heard of this already, or you may have seen the trailer...well be prepared. This is nothing like you've ever heard of on TMO. ;)

So, I must give major thanks to all people who have helped with this film, either knowingly helping or who has helped me such a great deal without even realizing it.

First, I must thank the cast.

K4Ownzall as Lieutenant Marco Calibrose
TheMovieMakerStapes as Officer Bates
Homemadeeye as Mr.Roger Fisher
SweatyShoulder as Mr. Joseph Kinelli
Skintrade as Detective Williams (First phone call)

I have to thank each and every one of these people for all their hard work and dedication. It has meant so much to me. You all had a responsibility of lines and you got them to me on time and just superbly done. I was literally flabberghasted upon listening to each and every one of you for the first time.

Now I will thank a few people who have given me music and or auditions and have kept me motivated.

First, I'd like to thank Skintrade for the signature music piece of this film/ (Opening music) Thanks pal!

Bruscar05 for three music selections
Sherwinlui for three music selections

(The soundtrack will be available through PM upon request. Be prepared though, that a few songs are unknown name unknown artist - I didn't plan that, that's just how they were listed...)

Rileyman for his audition and motivational skills
& Smithovich for his constant motivation.

This production would not be possible without the help of Homemadeeye telling me to go through with these and keeping me on task that it was finished by the deadline.

Thank you so much to everyone.

Feature Comment: Sweaty this is easily the best work you've done yet. This has really brightened up your TMO career.

Genre Feeling:

This is your typical modern-day horror. It's filled with loads of action, scary music, moments that you are about ready to stop watching from fear, and twists and turns that keep you watching till the very end.

This was a really good movie Sweatyshoulder, but some parts of it set the movie back. Starting with the bad:
We've heard reports of the dreaded sound bug. Now we think it's unfair to take points away from your Movie Quality score. The thing is, its a common reaction to look at someone's mouth when they speak. It helps you decipher what they're saying or trying to say, so usually it is essential. In TMO movies, in-game, the actors are made to move their mouths as the words are being spoken. Now, it is hard enough to decipher without sound problems, with sound problems, it just really took away from the sound experience. We just had to take some points away.

For the good. We commend you for the consistency in your movie. The editing stayed consistent, always staying at its leve of sheer brilliance. Quick, cool editing really supported this movie throughout the film. You also kept us waiting for the end and the big climax and the twists and turns. No fast-forward factor in this long film, you kept us watching, no doubt about it. The voice-overs were good, they'd be some of the best around had their been sound problems. It was a fantastic film throughout, great work Sweaty!

The sound problems were minor, but it just ruined what would have been a near perfect experience. We can't blame you for that though.

SweatyShoulder Studio Report:

Sweaty, you've been coming a long way from your early movie making days. It is clear that you've been working, and you've improved on all your weak points. We're sure that by the next movie you release, your percentages will be through the roof.

A great thriller, the cast was great (apart from the weird guy on the phone) and the editing amazing. The use of silence in one scene really added to the dramatic nature of it and added depth too. Sound synch and audio level issues were barely noticable.

5 stars for what is without doubt a future classic

editing 20/20 The editing was perfect, and this was some of the best camera work I have ever seen, it really worked to your advantage. It made the movie seem much creepier.

vo/subtitles 19/20 (it's kind of weird rating some of my own voice overs) Most of the voice overs were perfect. All of them were brilliantly acted and were at a perfect sound level. The only thing that I noticed was that there was some static and some clicking sounds in between, but I'm just being picky, because I don't like giving out perfect scores.

Music 10/10 Along with the camera work, the music really made this movie. It also gave it that creepy atmosphere. The music was absolutely perfect throughout the entire movie.

plot 40/40 I absolutely loved the plot. At first glance one might think it is just an ordanary movie, but that is definitely not the case. It was nothing like any movie I've seen. You had me so interested in the movie and not many movies can do that for 20 minutes. Although lots of the movie was dialogue, you never had me bored, because the dialogue was amazing and the atmosphere that the movie had through the whole movie really had me wanting to watch it. I loved the plot from beginning to end (which was a great ending by the way)

originality 10/10 Like I said earlier, this was a very original movie. With amazing twists and turns.

Overall: 99/100
4.95 stars

This was an amazing movie, the best I've seen in a while, and one of the best ever.

1. Very good story
2. YES it was creepy (esecially the screems... perfect)
3. Longer than 10 mins. that a "plus" (knowing that editing and getting all things right where you want them is a *****)

I never thought I'd be scared by CGI images. I was wrong. The twist at the end was worth the rather long movie length. I though that Kinelli's little spiel about people's callousness was a bit strained, but it's such an otherwise entertaining film that it won't cost you a star. I hope to see more work of this caliber in the future.

it was a good thriller. but i didn`t understand the end, was the boss paying the photographer to kill all the people or what?
but it was a good movie, and scary with the screams so it gets a 5 afterall...

Scary? No... Sick and twisted? HELL YES!

No offence but that's not much of a twist, I saw that coming before half way.

My biggest gripe was with the voice for the photography boss (Mr. Fisher?), I had a lot of problems hearing what he was saying, the other voices were fine but that one was not clear at all. Sorry.

Overall, a bit overly predictable but well made movie, and I'm giving you an extra star for being sick and twisted.

Would you mind having a look at my most recent film, Moment of Regret 2?

A very well written storyline with a great editing. I really like your style. Sometimes the rythme coud have been improved and some scenes being cut shorter, but it's a good job. A little problem with sound volume, some sounds are too lound, some voices or musics not enough, I found. Very good voice acting. Good scenario, I liked it ! A "no hesitation 5 stars movie" !

The mood and sense of foreboding are the strengths here. Some of the editing could be tightened up a bit. The story is decent but doesn't leave too much to the imagination as the main villain reads off his activities, at the end, as if reading off of a script. That sequence ruined the tension, for me. That should have been done with a bit more subtlety, if at all.
Great job at not rushing through and actually giving the tension a chance to build. Again, the sought after payoff was watered down a bit.

Grade A. I'm going to start out with your comments: the music Great, the voice overs were some of the best I??ve heard and not as off as I thought. The blinking dead lady, I thought didn??t take away from the movie but added just a slight amount of humor, if you looked for it. Now my comments: Brilliant movie, not nightmare scary but you really can??t get there with TM Game, still the best scary movie I've seen. The ending, oh d[censor] it was crazy, sick, but amazing. This is not only the best horror but the best movie. I love it and I??m definitely going to look forward to more of your movies. Nice work GREAT movie, Great ending.

Your work on this movie is excellent. The first thing that I appreciate is the work about your characters. You've studied thoroughly very well the nature of the characters and particulary serial killer. It's very interisiting. I was captived by this story, this thriller.
The editing is just beautiful, the use of the camera is intelligent, and the transitions are very nice.
Voiceovers are good and give more personnality to the characters.
I enjoyed your movie, it was very pleasant!
All the best!

Technically a really well done film. Excellent use of camera that really promotes tension. While the story proceeds nicely as a police killer cat & mouse it dives off with the "twist". A twist like that needs build up, this unfortunately parachutes in with out warning and without any sense that it is believable. The killer(s) expostitions do not add to the endings credibility.
Alot of hard work went into this, that is evident. And the fact that I could watch all 20+ minutes of it gains an extra star. I look foward to your other films.

Brillant movie, angles worked well here, and the music was spotted as a key item. Great work

A technically well done movie that just did not click with me in the end.

The Good: The camera work and editing were generally well done throughout the movie with only a few minor complaints here and there. The VO actors did a nice job with there roles especially Sweatyshoulder in the main. The music was an odd mix that somehow worked very well to provide the proper mood and tone to the story and I rather liked the scenes where just the score was used to provide the emotional weight.

The Bad: I guess at the end of the day, the overall story just didn't work for me. There were just too many things that bugged me about the plot(Especially the ending) that detracted from the overall quality of the picture and made me come to the decision to rate it as a 4 instead of a 5. The audio also had a few instances where you may have been better served keeping with the silent route instead of adding horror sounds that I felt were unneeded(and appeared to be designed more to get a quick jump out of your viewer instead of heightening the moment).

Overall it was not a bad movie, quite on the contrary. It was very well shot and imagined, with a great score to hold it together. I just had trouble getting into the movie. But it looks like you are coming along quite well as a filmmaker Sweaty and it will be interesting what you create next.

Duey's Decimal Rating: 4.8
My Take: The horror genre does appear to be your thing. Nice work. I think your use of Freecam was excellent and was the key to the film. The music was very well selectedand timed and the scene selection and editing made for a captivated 21 minutes. The twist, Nice. I'm happy that you chose to remove the game sounds, especially the mumbling, however I think that the film would have been perfect had you added back in a few sound effects on a couple of the slower scenes to maintian the ambiance, but that was my only suggestion, it was a great film.

Well better late than never! I am so glad I got around to seeing this. You made a terrific movie here, sweaty. All of the elements: acting, story, editing, and music came together to tell this tense tale about the hunt of a serial killer. Done in true Silence of the Lambs fashion, you dig deep into the mind one sick and twisted mofo.

****MoMc Review****
Very long, and kept me interested. Story, was simple: who hasn't heard of some guy with a fetish of taking pictures of murder victims? But I wasn't expect so many twists, some of them weren't so big: but still kept me in that holy crap state. The final twist (the ssob, hoping not to spoil anything), was really great: but I forgot who he was by the end. I know it's bad, but he only had one part and that was towards the beginning; you could have at least thrown him in there again. I remembered him in the movie somewhere, but just not specifically. Aside from that, it kept me jumping around trying to figure out where this was going to land. Dialogue, was good, not great. It kept the story moving: didn't enjoy the two minute monologue at the end, if it was made into some kind of conversation or a bit more two sided it would have been much more tolerable (at least for me). Camera angles were good. I had some problems, like having way too much head room: do we really need to see two feet above actors? Or framing people dead center in the picture. Music was great, couldn't stand how great it was. Although during the pregnant lady attack I didn't know there was music until I turned my speakers up. That was a problem with me, how volumes of certain things never matched: one minute I'm turning them down, then I have to turn them back up. Sound was good, that whole screaming messed up effect did work well: although getting on my nerves with the high pitched 'ness of it. Overall, fun to watching: if you can sit through it.

Overall MoMc Score: 3.9

neat movie! Very good twist.
The photographer was a good character.
Just wish you had more ambience & sound fx going to make the scenes more immersive. Overall, a cracking movie, just wish the voice actors would've interacted with eachother a bit more... for example, the climax, layering reactions, interruptions, that sort of thing. I couldnt believe the guy would just lay there quietly and meekly while the other character went on and on with his monologue. You can indeed layer voice acting clips, and still synch them and everything, making for more believable interactions between your actors.

Good film!

Great story, but a few thinks could be a lot better. The end, for example, when the murderer tell his story is too easy, it was better if you could bring this part more in the film. But it is a good film, no mistake about that.

While not technically scary, this movie has very good atmosphere. However, Joe's occupation and his unusual nocturnal habits don't quite mesh very well. He's clearly an outsider, a very distant individual by nature. The twist is pretty good, but you need to leave more vital clues throughout the flick to give the viewer the chance to solve the mystery on their own.

On the technical side, your scene selections match up quite well, and the quality of voice acting is very good. Overuse of special effects and angles would've killed this film, but you managed things quite nicely.

You know, I've had the same problem with blinking corpses before too. It just depends on when you catch the actor. Its almost random.

Neat.

A decent... uh... stab (*groannnn*) at a horror thriller - although I think a little too much time was spent on the chase and not enough on the buildup. On the other hand, it was excellently shot and (most) of the voice acting was well-done. A lot of little touches here and there definitely brought this head and (sweaty) shoulders above most horror flicks I've seen here.

I can't rate it a five, though - because while the voiceovers were well-acted, the actual quality of the sound was terrible. So much so, that it became very distracting to listen to. Noise removal and volume normalization/compression are your friend.

A superb film. The editing and cinematography are excellent, to say the least. There's some great acting performances too - especially from the chillingly nasty villain ;) ...

But the supporting cast, also, is very good without exception.

Much time has been spent on this film - every shot, and most lines seem to have had meticulous care taken over them. The way the various shots were put together is very satisfying.

But, even while I was wavering between a 5 and a high 4 (not very often, to be honest), along comes a superb villain's dialogue scene to seal the deal. The villain's dialogue (and performance) was electric (nobody knows what I'm talking about - but I don't want to ruin the film). Great acting and script here. That goes for all of it really.

Music was used very well - subtle, so as to be necessary, but without being noticeable. I also applaud Bruscar, Sherwin and Skintrade on some great work in this film.

Overall - a terrific murder mystery which will have you glued for all 20+ minutes.

This is an ambitious film and nearly suceeds but not quite. Story is good, VAs are really good, overall story is good...but the writing (dialog and plotting) is okay to poor...just didn't seem like "realistic" dialog. Overall--pretty good.

I was talking to my friends on AIM just about an hour ago, and he mentioned this movie. He told me it was not only the best horror on this site, but the best thriller movie ever made with the greatest twist anyone has ever seen.

I'd like to start off this review by saying it was overly-hyped. The plot itself is similar to almost any other mystery we see on TV nowadays, it actually reminds of Silence of the Lambs in a way. So, I don't know why my friend and others said this is the most original piece of work ever created.

The voice acting was great. This movie passed in my vote because of the photographer's voice over, it's just splendid and the English accent made him sound like the sick maniac he really is (Hannibal Lecter).

The twist, unfortunately, may indeed be called a twist to others, but not to me. I saw it coming from half a mile away, to be honest. I could tell by all of sweatyshoulder's work and how the movie developed that that would be the 'result' (watch it yourself if you haven't seen it, yet.

The camera effects are mesmerizing, though. I think this is your natural talent, because this is the reason I didn't give this movie a three. The camera effects and sound effects were perfect for the movie.

Overall, a very decent, though overrated movie. Not sweatyshoulder's best work, but definitely better than other horror/mysteries.

85/100.

The Archaic Awards
Review

Story: 9/10 A very good story. Sick and twisted with some surprising twists that leave you guessing on the dge of your seat. With some disturbing ideas that make you think, and a story that keeps you watching this movie did a good job!

Music: 5/5 Very good music selection. It really helped move the story along and never made it dull. i really think it was well made and overall a nice choice.

VO/Subs: 11/10 The VAs were so good, that I can't not give this 11 out of 10. With an amazing performance by homemadeeye it really helped bring characters to life. You yourself did a very good job at using emotion to bring the actors to life. K40wnzall did a spectacular job as well. a very nice selection of actors here. Good job!

Script: 5/5 Brillient dialogue. It really enhanced the viewing for me. This was one of the better scrips on TMO. great job!

Extras: 5/5 Freecam was used excellently. The custom backdrops helped as well. You use of sound effects worked very well along with scene transistion and scene choice. Great job!

Editing: 14/15 Perfect editing. A very good movie from start to finish. It felt a little too long though. maybe certain scenes could have been cut from the movie. Other than that, a momentum was kept throughout the entire movie that really added to the suspense. GREAT JOB!

Final Score: 49/50

This has a good theme, obviously not original (One Hour Photo, Road to Perdition). Some clever little shots mixed in with a lovely plot twist at the end. BUT it had some annoying flaws, it wasn't perticularly scary or tense. I personally didn't feel any connection with the cop, I didn't care if the killer was caught or not. The film centralises on people not being all that they seem, but in 'A Photogragh Lasts for a Lifetime' all the characters were basic and one liner. The actual serial killer had no depths at all. He was obvioulsy crazy and did nothing to mask the fact. The accents were all over the place and sound wavered. After saying all that I'd still probably force myself to watch it again, you say it's your best so far I'm 100% postitive you'll do better.

Creepy. Don't turn your back on that SweatyShoulder guy.
Of major note is the editing. Cuts during the murder scenes were sharp and riveting. Especially the last one with the ax! I have one critique, and that's that the mood wasn't dreary enough. Otherwise, this is an excellent horror movie, and could be expanded and would make a viable 'real' movie.

Awesome Film.
Firstly, I don't think I blinked once while watching this movie. It was just too gripping. Beautiful fades and cuts and a storyline equally as impressive. Masterful VOs throughout this film, with a wide range of accents and dialects just adding to the believability. Brilliantly acted as well. Fantastic show !

Excellent movie. The only thing I can pick on is that the police had more than enough evidence to bring him in for questioning, considering his boss called in about the photo's and probably even enough for a search warrant for his home as well, but that didn't stop me from enjoying this movie.

Big Sky Studios "Brutally Honest" Rating System

PLOT (10/10)--Brilliant! The storyline was genuinly frightening, and the twists kept me white-knuckled and at the edge of my seat. No complaints here.

EDITING/FREECAM (8/10)--Overall, a great job with the cinamentography. You captured some great freecam shots that kept the film fresh and interesting. Good job editing as well...but I wish you would of toned down on the black static effect. It can be effective when used right, but in this case it was overkill.

VO'S/DIALOGUE (10/10)--Wow. You assembled quite a brilliant VO cast! k4, skintrade...and of course, yourself. The dialogue was exceptional as well...never corny, yet captivating.

MUSIC/SFX (7/10)--Great music tracks. They suited the terrifying atmosphere well. The SFX were decent throughout, but I don't think you should have used the In-Game screams as much. They're quite annoying!

FEAR FACTOR (9/10)--Terrifying, but not the best I've seen on TMO.

TOTAL: (44/50) 4 stars....ah what the heck, good enough for 5.

OVERALL CONSENSUS: A smart thriller that will be remembered for a long time ago. Solidifies sweatyshoulder as one of TMO's best directors!

Wow, what a tour de force! I loved this movie, it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, editing and special effects were top notch, the music enhanced the atmosphere beautifully, and the vo´s were great! The sounds were great too (apart from the woman shrieking, as I´m watching with headphones, I will send you the bill from my doctor, it was so loud! ;))All in all a great psychological thriller!

A very good movie

Very good story (disturbing but good) and a well made storyline. The rather slow pace of the movie added to the atmosphere
Good use of music and Sfx all added their part to the disturbing story.
Only minor remark was the use black screen which to me did not add anything.

A really well scripted movie deserves the 5 stars :)

A pretty good TMO thriller, and despite its length it still kept my attention throughout. The story had a nice twist at the end which sets it apart from most other serial killer TMO films. The superb music truly enhanced the experience as well. I do have a few constructive criticisms though. First I was a bit perturbed by the taxi driver who apparently decided to attempt to evade the pursuing police car, forcing the officer to ram his cab. Normally, cab drivers would pull over for a police car with lights flashing. Some of the dialogue was also a bit odd, as if the characters were thinking aloud. For example the officer yelling out "get that men, he's a murderer" seems strange since police officers normally warn people to avoid killers, and not to try to apprehend them. He also yelled "get my car" to no one (he has no partner), and he himself ended up getting his own car. The voice overs were well-performed, but the volume was very low on a few lines, and the sound effects (especially of the screaming) was much, much too loud compared to the other sounds (causing me to constantly fiddle with my speaker volume). Try to normalize all the sounds for a more pleasant viewing experience. This film was also very long for the story involved, and for a TMO film, it may benefit from further editing (and truncating dialogue) to keep the pacing even faster. Apart from my nit-picking this was a fine film. Congratulations on all the accolades and awards it has received.

(Spoiler) Bravo! Bravo! This was one of the very few, if any, movies on TMO that have had me intriueged. This movie grabbed you by the neck (no pun intended) and kept you there. The story was great, whoever came up with it was really brilliant. The story twisted and turned, and did'nt end like all the other movies there are. This one ended in a way you'd never expect. The characters were all greatly done. The serial killer guy annoyed me soo much, so I guess I was happy when he was shot. The old guy who actually calls the murders a "hobby"...freaky. Great job on this movie. Looking forward to all your awesome upcoming releases. :)

Get in front of the camera... it's time for a Master_Hitman review...

The Bright Side:
Your Editing was well done all-around and showed little error. Plus, the tension you build during the film was quite well shown. Also, you manage to evoke emotions for the characters and make them feel like true people. The music was horrifically chosen with terrifingly good results (Memo to self, get a few tracks from Sherwinliu for next film.) This film spoke a million words on human nature and who are really the sick ones in society. The dialouge was flawless and had the roughness and the beauty to go along with a plot of this kind.

The House of PAIN:
However, in terms of being a "Horror" Horror, yawn... no offence, I sympathized for the officer and the connection between audience and screen was fine. It was just that everything was just flung out in a tell-all format. The way Kinelli is just shown right off the bat and the way the scenes are done tell us what's going to happen from then till the end, which REALLY dosen't help the scare factor. Also... was this like... an infofilm on serial killers. The very last scene just chopped off any tension and emotion I had in the previous scenes. You could have introduced the facts better or made some helpful statement or actually add some credits (Which can be difficult with the enviroment that is TMO I know.) It just killed it for me...

The Judgement:
This was a well made film that has many good things about it, but just a few errors hamper the experience in oh so many painful ways. (I personally think it should be classified as a thriller.) But! Since the story was top-notch... I present to you...

Bard's Tale: For excelent storytelling!

Enjoy your award! And to the audience enjoy this film...

The Scales of Judgement: 8.25 (Beautiful)

The Good: Technical aspects were well executed, story and characters fleshed out.
The EVIL: Yawn fest if considered a deffinate horror... Awkward ending...

Plot5/5: The plot was intresting and has many surprises. I felt that was the plot was the best part of the movie.

V.O.3/5: The V.O.s were not too bad but i have seen movies with more clear ones. The lip synching did not match the V.O.s at most parts. That is the main reason i am giving this catagory a 3/5.

TechnicalStuff 4/5: There wasnt too many amazing techinical stuff in the movie but the pictures of the bodys were defintly some of the coolest things ive seen.

Freecam 5/5:This is for the use of the freecam. I can see that the freecam was used numerous times in this movie. You used it well and it added more feeling into the movie.

Music 5/5: The music fit the theme of the movie perfectly. Loved it.

Grading scale:0-5/25=crap
6-10/25=bad
11-15=ok
16-20=good
21-25=great

Your score is: 22/25=GREAT!!
Awesome job Sweaty!

WOW!!!!!!!
i loved this movie. below i have all the points in this movie put together.

Voice acting: it was very good but did have some static on some VO's but it was well put together expesialy the long monolougs.

Script Quality: I think this storie was writen out and actualy made scense to me. it was a well writen, had houres of time put into it and was a briliant movie!!!!!

Intro's: when the movie started, that monoloug by the killer was well put together it almost sounded real!!!!! and when the movie first came on i was ready for some action.....and i got it.

Characters: the carecters seemed real to me...like this could actualy happen or somthing, i was confussed at first in the end, but then i started to understand.

Overal Rating(on a scale of poor, bad,ok,good, very good, exelete) it was an exelente!!!!!!!!!!if you film more movies like this it will bring you up in TMO. Good Job Bravo!!!!!!!!

I was on the edge. I could not decide whether this film was worth 2 or 3 stars. I made my decision after I deliberated on the intentions of this film. You intended to frighten and disturb the viewer. This film lives or dies on the tension it is able to create, and sadly you were unable to conjure up much at all. Its most immediate flaw is the pacing. To remove 5 minutes of footage would greatly have increased its effectiveness. There were also far too many black screens and fades. This really hurt the movie by disrupting the tension you were trying to instill. By overusing this technique you allow the audience to take a break from the grim setting and circumstances that are incorporating your characters. The camerawork was both good and bad. Some closeups were misplaced and really did not fit the mood of the scene. Most of the shots where you moved the camera were interesting enough. A little more visual flare would have helped to add some flavor to the story. The VO's were pretty good, but for some reason, every character had an unnatural and annoying tone. Some of the lines also seemed forced and cliched. The music was very good except for the song that played during the car chase, which once again alienated the viewer from the setting. The use of silence and the high pitched tone during the one murder was one of the things that saved this movie from being a total disaster. This scene was very well concieved. The twist was pretty good, but it could have been executed better. The end of the film was mildly exciting, but I'm afraid that many viewers will stop watching before they ever get to the end. I do enjoy slow paced movies, especially psycho/horror films, but you spent too much time on insignificant events and characters. This is not that bad of a movie, but it is not a very good horror/thriller. There are ways in whic you can defy genre conventions, but horror movies should always be scary just as comedies should alaways be funny.

Insane Warrior Review Statement.
MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS READ AT OWN RISK

Plot: A fresh and new exciting journey through an eerie world where any thing happens. The plot initself is very grim and disturbing. A man murders women with his boss and takes photos of them. (can it get any worse?) Oh yes it can.

Scripting: Crystal Clear voice overs. They came out so well sweaty. You really have a talent in this. You acted so well and used top notch music. Some of the music you used i actually was planning on using my self. You have a mature voice and i was mistaken that you were in your early 20s

Custom: Very creepy backdrops. The back drops of all the dead woman really freaked me out! and the grusome murder scene with the pregnate woman. Ingrossingly clever and sick.

Characters: Sick twisted and some what polite... The main character did not (what appeared to me) sexually abuse the woman he kills. Even the cops daughter. What really got me was the twist at the end how you got the boss involved (I wont say how)

Overall: Photographs can be quite eerie at times and this proves that. If you work in an office anyone cheak your bosses breif case. And be care full when you walk home alone. Just remember A photograph does last a life time.

Finally just finished watching it, and I have to tell you I am impressed. Actually I am so much more than impressed, I'm gobsmacked at just how absolutely brilliant this movie is! As you might or might not know I am mostly a horror director, sure I'm not exactly great at it, but after a bit of research I have started to learn a bit about the horror genre. Well this movie ticks all of te right boxes for a horror movie. I love a horror that ca creepy you out without seeming desperate or annoying. So many more recent horror movies seem like a hyperactive child trying to get attention, knowing they can't scare you gradually they just stand and blankly wav at you and hope that it pays off. Its better for a horror allowing you to think and be scared at the same time. Now this movie isn't perfect, its a bit too long for its own good and at times does plod. However the plot maintains interest throughout and so I can never genuinely say that I got bored throughout the movie. Great horror movie that deserves its place in the charts.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Script & storyline 17/20
The script was excellentely written, with a lot of effort put into it, altough I dont really get why the guy killed the Police officer at the end.

VO's and subtitles: 18/20
The voiceovers were pretty good, but most of them were too quiet and unclear. Next time try and get the VA's (Voice Actors) to speak a bit more loudly and clearly into the Microphone.

Editing: 20/20
The movie was well scrubbed and washed up (if you know what I mean). Good job.

Stunts: 19/20
The stunts were pretty good, but if you would have put a bit more detail into the taxi chase then i would be satisfied

Music: 20/20
Even though there was not much music during the movie, but the music that was in the movie was perfectely timed. Good job on that.

OVERALL SCORE: 96/100
OVERALL RAYING: Five Stars

Watching this film made me feel uneasy. I gulped and swallowed my own saliva at least five times. The direction of this film were moments of awe inspiring moments. Especially the direction of the silent parts of the film. I felt so uncomfortable and felt like screaming because it was so violent, brutal and silent all at the same time.

This was well directed and one of my favorite thrillers on TMO. I'm just at awe right now because you yourself had a great part, with some grea acting. The cast and everyone was just great!

The ending where you show us some numbers...that was just scary and creepy.
Great work.

Well this movie certainly seems like it was well worth the effort, and though the effort and time put into this production would be worthy of 5 stars, the final execution of the product brings it down to 4 stars.

There was a good selection of music for this project, but some of the VO's felt inconsistent and made it seem like for once character you're watching an old 1970's movie while the other character has a more updated microphone for recording. The difference in sound was huge, at least for me. Also due to my editing background in real life I picked up on a lot of things that normal casual folks don't pick up on, others think the sound bug wasn't noticeable but I was able to pick up on it the second it happened.

Also some of the editing and certain camera shots felt a little bit ugly to me, as it created a sort of awkward feeling. I don't mean awkward as in creepyness or murder atmosphere but rather just aesthetically it didn't look like it would have been the best choice for that particular scene.

The ending sort of killed it for me as something like that would be considered a tragedy, but that's a personal preference so I didn't take off points for that. Throughout the movie there were a few seconds of black that felt like it wasn't intentional, bugs really do kill a movie.

Overall though this was a very well done project and I enjoyed watching the entire thing.

I have to say this one of the most disturbing, and realistic movies i have reviewed on TMO. The storyline is fantastic, the characters are awesome, and the presentation is unreal!!! The voiceacting is second to none, and the soundtrack definetly took the movie to a new level of ambience.
This is the perfect thriller/horror movie i have to say. It has everything the genre needs and more. Suspense, terror, the wonder of what is REALLY going on. This has to your best work yet.
As for the technical side, yet again fantastic work! The editing was done to a level of meticulousness that is hard to find on TMO. The custom work was brilliant, the cinematography was excellent. Sure there were some bugs on the tech end, but I personally beleive 90% of them were in-game related and out of your control.
Bottom line: EXCELLENT, Must see film that will have the viewer on the edge of there seat waiting to see what happens next.
Keep making GREAT movies like this, and I will be happy to review them!

Nice job. It was a little longer than I would normally watch, but the VO's were very good and one of the reasons I hung in there. Plus for a movie this long with the amount of editing you did, it must have been a very high amount of work, so I give you 5 stars and good day sir.

I'm not much for long reviews, Story is great, some vo's where a bit low at times and some dead quiet scenes sometime when noises should have been but nothin to realy worry about. Overall great thriller.

Excellent thriller film! This is well-written and nicely edited. The atmosphere here is thick -- the music, dialog, and editing cuts all contribute to this. The choices and placement of music and sound effects are particularly good.

You stuck with every scene through to its end... this is something very hard to do with the limitations in The Movies game. I often pick up on this watching other movies; almost like the director felt rushed to get on to the next scene. But not here. When you needed six or eight or twelve cuts of the same shot for a single scene, you made sure you took the time to include them, and kept the camera angles interesting. So good work there!

The sound sync issue does pop up in a few places, but it's really only noticeable when you have close-ups of the characters faces when they talk.

My only minor gripes here:
In one of the early scenes, one of the women who is supposed to be dead is blinking. I think you could have taken notice and changed the camera angles to hide this.
While the dialog and story are a strong point throughout the film, there is one specific moment that it perhaps breaks down a bit. The scene where Calibrose initially confronts Kinelli... My feeling there is the evidence ought to have been strong enough to bring Kinelli in. But it's a small enough point -- and the story after that wouldn't really work out if it happened the way I suggest. ;)
One of the voice-overs had a noticeable *click* at the end of each line.

But none of these decreased my enjoyment of the film to bring it down from a 5-star! A very good thriller; and I'm glad you managed to reduce the sound issues to a minimum!

Ok, there was some very nice stuff about this one... the storyline was very good, well planned, the characters were great... and there were very nice twists. It's just the kind of story that wouldn't do bad on a big screen at the movies (I mean, the real thing).

But some details were not that good... some voice overs and sound effects used, like the annoying screaming woman, were... annoying (maybe because this one I talked about was too loud).

The editing was good, but not fantastic. The soundtrack chosen was just great, 'cause it matched every single moment of this film... even the scene that has no sound at all!
And the sound issues you told us about in the description were barely noticeable.

But anyway, there're are still some MINOR problems you need to fix about some parts.
Overall, a good movie, it's clear you've put a lot of effort on it... just keep up with the good work ;)

the music fit in perfectly in every scene to create the needed suspence

5/5 and two thumbs up a must see film this year!!

Wow, Sweaty - that's some terrific writing and production going on there!

As one of the few people who rated my film, you know I have a soft spot for insane protagonists, and yours are definitely a couple of nut-jobs. I would have liked to have had some insight into what drove them to associate death with the "beauty" of their subject matter, but the structure of your story made it so that even without that kind of background information their characters were still very well defined. No easy task - good job!

I really liked your use of musical scoring to set the tone for each scene - well done! Also, the voice-over work not only fit each character to a "T" (the main policeman character sounded an awful lot like Adam West to me - is he *that* hard-up for work?), the synchronization with the character animation was impeccable. How many times did you have to shoot these scenes, anyway?

I am a little curious about one thing - with all the careful detail that you put into this movie, why didn't you use any of the bloodstain or pool-of-blood mods that are out there? Was it an artistic decision to go with body paint and such? I don't think it hurt the movie one bit, but I would like to know what you were thinking with your decisions to use some FX but omit others.

Movie Quality:

At first i thought this would be like any other serial killer movie. But this really turned out different! The characters were veri inventive and the killer is so wonderfully mad. Really gives you the creeps. What brought it down to four is the minor flaws.

All of the VO´s were well acted but they all had a different sound to them, making the dialouge less believable. Also, the first victim is opening her eyes in the investigation scene, not good. The sound glitches you mentioned was barely noticeable, nothing major.

You really succeeded in making the serial killer. The fact that he takes photos of his victims really makes him special, which makes the whole movie alot more interesting. Loved the twist at the end too. The editing was good, but not fantastic.

Since i only think that a perfect movie deserves 5 stars, I will give it a strong four. Great movie and plot, and I hope to see more on this story!

First of all, the editing was perfect. No 'choppy' scenes and no continuity errors (as far as I could see). Audio sync bug? What audio sync bug? I was too wrapped up in the well thought of and created storyline to notice any little bugs crop up. To make a mystery/thriller that keeps the audience entertained for 21 minutes is hard to do, especially with the movies, but you pulled it off perfectly and left me enthralled. Mine and everyone else's anticipation to watch this movie and your patience to release it really paid off.

An excellent action thriller! I loved it, it had excellent dialogue, superb editing, nice flow, very good, talented voice-actors and excellent music throughout!! I really enjoyed this, i thought the ending was a bit "WOW! I didn't see that coming", but that's the good thing about these types of movies!
An excellent action thrilled that i really enjoyed! Excellent work! nice backdrops and overlays too!

A great thriller, the cast was great (apart from the weird guy on the phone) and the editing amazing. The use of silence in one scene really added to the dramatic nature of it and added depth too. Sound synch and audio level issues were barely noticable.

5 stars for what is without doubt a future classic

Gruesome and chilling thriller that had me on the edge of my seat. Brilliantly filmed with wonderful voice work by the actors. The star of the film was so coolly creepy and put me in mind of Norman Bates one of film history??s most notorious serial killers. A good film that hit most of the right bone chilling highs despite a rather overlong monolog at the end. I think the monolog would have been more powerful had you cut in some flash backs of his pervious murders. Overall ?? A Picture Lasts a Lifetime ?? is a very enjoyable film excursion into the mind of madness.

Posted on December 19, 2006
- SHERWINLIU

A mildly engaging story of the investigation of a series of murders, with a very good visual storytelling style. However I somehow did not feel some of the situations entirely believable, and could not always follow the cop??s logical reasoning, which made him seem quite a fool in his words and actions. The conclusion felt like a leap of faith, and the motivations and the strategy of the killer ultimately didn??t make much sense to me.

Still, I have to give you kudos for the competent editing and camerawork. The hard work does show. Sound sync problem wasn??t that bad.

PS: Don??t forget to credit the musicians, etc.. :)

Outstanding job Sweaty! The editing was great, script was very nicely written and acted out. My only real issue is the Sound sync, which I cant blame you for, and some of the beggining lines sounded a little electronic, like they are coming over a radio, but all in all, great job man 5 Stars!

editing 20/20 The editing was perfect, and this was some of the best camera work I have ever seen, it really worked to your advantage.

Wow! great job. I have never seen a movie on here this long. Let me be the first to congragulate you for your hard work. The longest film I ever made was "Galactic Tragedy" and that was just under 10 minutes. Enough of that, here's what I have to say about it. Voice acting was great. The camera angles worked well for the horror. Storyline was interesting. 5star and your welcome
