It takes place in 1970. Wesley the famous detective and his new crew need to find out who did the homicide.
Good twist - and some nice build up. The subtitles were a little bit confusing - if you use those you need to be sure that the first shot clearly shows which character is talking,
[close-up of Jake] "Wesley come here ..."
[close-up of Wesley] "What is it Jake?"
That leaves it in no doubt in the audience's mind which character is which. In this case, both were on screen when the first subtitle came up. It turned out the cameraman (Wesley) was saying the line when I thought it was the man in the white suit (Jake).
The music seemed wrong (at the start anyway, more appropriate music was used later) for this kind of period thriller. These detectives didn't look like they came from the mid-80s. Music is very important in creating a film-noirish atmosphere - that didn't happen here in the first half.
But the film making instincts are clearly there and I look forward to more of your work.
PS. You're not fooling anyone - I bet all my VC that CDC stands for Craig, Daniel Craig [and wasn't he great?!]
