SCRAMBLE is a futuristic, neo-noir sci-fi thriller where reality and imagination quickly become indistinguishable -- a story of love, deception, and the impermanence of memory. It begins with a murder. Detective Alan Deller (JazzX), a sardonic, hard-nosed Division 9 homicide detective, is unwillingly thrust into the murder investigation of a woman whose death is shrouded in conspiracy and mystery. Everything is connected to SCRAMBLE -- a neuro-narcotic that eats away at human memory and leaves the subject in a hallucinatory dream state. Alongside Agent Clara Original (Dulci), a Division 7 neuro-narcotic expert, Deller quickly learns that there is no difference between fact and fiction -- and not even human memory can be trusted. The investigation only ensnares him further and further into the murky depths of his own memory, which oscillates between the past and present, fact and fiction, fantasies and nightmares -- pushing Dellar two steps away from the truth at every corner.

Yep this has all the makings of another postmodernchuck classic. PMC proves once again why he deserves to be known as one of the greatest filmmakers to grace TMO. I was so lost in the breathtaking camera shots and mind-blowing visuals that I had to watch it again in order to appreciate the profound story.

One aspect of this brilliant film that immediately stood out for me would have to be the dialogue. You weave words together like a true poet; adding to the atmosphere of the film. Your cast also did an amazing job breathing life into these complex characters.

Then comes your camera work...You wield that feeble tool known as free-cam better than some Hollywood directors! Your hard close-ups juxtaposed by your adept static shots make this film a visual treat. It's like virtual candy! Then comes the love scene at the end...not since Prufrock have I seen someone make something so basic appear so profound. The way you shot that scene was nothing short of pure brilliance.

This sci-fi noir film is one that should not be missed! Postmodernchuck creates another TMO classic with this dark tale of a man lost in his own mind. I eagerly anticipate the seond part...

To be honest PMC, this is the first time that I've treated myself to one of your films, and I must say I'm an idiot (to say the least) to have put them off for this long. You have a talent like no other here on TMO, and you have harnessed it and put it to great use.

From superb camera angles, fitting music, and excellent direction and drive, you know how to piece every part of the movie together, so that it comes out as a finished product, ready to be admired and adored by hundreds! You're ability to do this is near unequalled here at TMO, and there are few who can compare with you.

The camera angles were just excellent, and they added a whole new feel to the movie. Your risque attitude towards this movie made it that much more interesting, and I loved every minute of this film.

I also loved the music, almost more than anything. It made me want to get into the movie even more than I already was, and I think it worked. With every change in the music, there was a change in my emotions, my attitude towards what was going on at a given moment in time in the movie. Excellent job there!

And finally, the story. Nothing like it before, and I doubt it will ever be matched. Not only was it a good storyline, but it flowed. That is the most important element in a movie ... flow. You could have a millon dollar script, but if it doesn't go well from page to page, it's garbage. You kept me guessing, wondering what would happen next, and why this happened or that happened. Brillant work! Without further ado, here's *The Breakdown*

Originality: 10/10
Plot/Storyline: 10/10
Audio: 10/10
Editing: 5/5
Free Cam: 5/5
WOW ME: 12/10
Total: 51/50

The coveted all caps WOW ME, and the unheard of Maniacal Perfect Score of 52/50! The second one in a row that I've given out, the movies are getting better as people learn to behold the power of S&E and use it to its full potential.

Great work PMC!
HIGHLY RECCOMENDED!

Yet again, we stand at a pinnacle located deep within the center of another mentally and visually provocative work from Chuck Williamson. PMC's tales, to me, are likened to a rigorous terrain of which we embark upon a challenging journey. The path presented to us is one hardly..... if ever, traveled. And within each unique plateau of which this studio awards us the great honor to graze its pastures, we find its geography vastly different than the last presented to us and often denying us the luxury of finding equilibrium. It forces us to carefully transverse its grounds being most mindful to not lose our footing in which is almost always considered to be navigatably challenging. This is his trademark and as always, is to be expected.

But, saying that this work is no different than other Alpha 60 productions would be a bold lie. All the conceptions of which you periodically associate with a PMC film should be quickly discarded before immersing yourself into this darkened theatre. Chuck's new parade of evoking thought brings us on a path of intrigue and suspense. This coupled with the already anticipated brain candy we are going to receive, establishes a new door in his neighborhood of short stories for us to "trick or treat" upon.

Scramble exists on a glitchy plain where the fragmented blend of truths presented to us only thickens the atmosphere of a broken dream laying victim to faulty synapse. Built like a quality quilt, each intricately designed patchwork of this yarn is bound tightly by a static charge that is felt at timer 00:00 to 16:35. On top of its chaotically crafted structure, it is strongly supported by unparalleled vocal talent throughout. JazzX, as Det. Deller, delivers a cool performance from the very start that establishes the chilling tone of the material in this film. He is well paired with the ever so audibly palatable Dulci, who shares intelligent dialog, yet soft and warm, creating what I felt was a very welcome tonal contrast. All of this laced with "one of a kind" sets, beautifully established shots and Chuck's signature risqué approach to film making makes this cinema a notch above the rest.

On new ground for PMC, this story is obviously incomplete being it part one of a multipart production. This is a feat he has not yet achieved with this studio. And for many film makers this would be a way to establish a cliff hanger?. a point where they can leave the rest of us wanting more until the next installment?.. a stage where PMC leaves us on every film he creates and this one is no different. A must see.

??A story has no beginning or end: arbitrary one chooses that moment of experience form which to look back or from which to look ahead.?? (Graham Greene, The end of the affair)

Our experience has no integrity: we reside in the world created by our own perception, impressions, and memories. Our memory has no credibility: it is vulnerable to decay and distortion by our fear and desire. And Might I say this precarious existence of ours is the source of all the dramas??those created here in TMO, Hollywood, and beyond, as well as the ??real-life?? ones? This movie takes this fascinating subject and quite successfully turns it into an exciting and inviting story.

The screen is filled with Postmodernchuckiese sensibility with a stroke of what I feel is a NeoNoirian touch. It??s seductive, enthralling, and beautiful. I loved the use of music here as well. I just don??t know how you always manage to find all those beautiful music that perfectly fit your movies.

Another great success! I look forward to the next installment.

A beautiful piece of work crafted with intrigue and imagination. A unique script delivered by a well selected and highly talented cast. This film, which is only the beginning, is really amazing in so many ways, like the camera angles and music, that I am really looking forward to the next chapter. AN EXCELLENT MUST SEE SERIES!!!

Utterly astounding I regret taking my time getting to watch this.
Probably the most original and detailed storytelling over the grace TMO.

The Dialogue was superb and that's without the VO's and the VO's themselves were really well chosen, fitting suitably and breathing life into the characters and words.

The camera work is brilliant with the conjuction of mods and prop placement it is easy to see that this film has been carefully crafted to the briliant piece of work it is today.

And to top it off the music choice was just brilliant, I believe my favourite would be during the fist fight scene it just seemed really noticable on how well it fitted.

Overall a TMO masterpiece lovingly crafted too perfection.
I'm off to watch the second part now.

Strider Out!

Very nice scenes. But pretty scene can't replace a weak plot, that I found hard to follow. Yes this is a pretty film, but your story line is to weak. I also didn't get the end. It is like a Mcdonald menu, it is much, it is nice, but it is also cheap, with very littel content.

Intricate...stunning...powerful...staggering...all of these words define the majestic masterpiece that you, postmodernchuck, have put together with such care and artistic vision that it is a true wonder and classic to behold. With storytelling racing us across the film, and fantastic voice-work from some of TMO's top performers drawing us in, not to mention the completely original and beautiful score, the first part of Scramble is an alluring sight to behold.

GREETINGS FROM L.M.A.O. STUDIOS!

A flawless cinematic journey into the very minds eye of science fiction.

THE GOOD: It seems during our little hiatus, we missed this epic event. Where does one start about such beauty... Not only is the very best movie on TMO but this amazing series could sell on DVD. Seriously. First, the cinematography...the establish and wide pan shots were reminiscent of Stanley Kubrick and Alfred Hitch[naughty word!]. It was filmed with such a glorious and grandiose feel, it literally left us speechless. The acting...was simply marvelous by all. JazzX and Dulci had great chemistry and really sold their parts. The story and flow....was the very backbone of this films success. Informative enough to entice you, but not too much to bore. An amazing script that??s exciting, romantic and intelligent. The mods...were exceptional and very very impressive. We are still in awe.

THE BAD: Nothing worth mentioning.

This masterfully executed filmm, is what we as filmmakers strive for. Well done!

This film has won THE AKIRA AWARD OF EXCELLENCE

Holy whoa.

I have to admit, while "Scramble" took TMO by storm, I huddled in the storm cellar, terrified yet again at the awesome power that is a PostModernChuck film. Every time I watch a PoMo film, I feel eight inches tall, awed and inspired as I look up to greatness. I can only bow and scrape and hope that I might achieve something like this one day.

Again, I'm floored by the relentless and reliable professionalism and dedication that PoMo puts into all things- plot, pacing, tone, structure, scene selections, editing choices, musical score, VA's, custom work (love those overlays). Chuck makes all of that stuff look easy, again and again and again.

And "Scramble" is absolutely no exception.

Every filmmaker here can learn from PostModernChuck - watch his films and watch them again - take notes...

And aspire to this.

I happened to see Scramble part 2 first. Now that I've seen the original
I can fully apreciate the art being created here.

For me to forget that I'm watching a TMO movie (full screen), the content has to be very,absorbing... and it was. Chuck .. you absorbed me... humm...That doesn't sound right. :)

I'll just mention that the music selection was enlightened, as mesmerizing as the voice acting and visuals. I would add that a custom composed score
would also work very well at this level Chuck,(hint hint) and it could still work in conjuction with the classical elements already in place in both 1 and 2.

brilliant work.. you set the bar.

A very compelling thriller. This film reminded me of one of David Lynch's films in a way that supposedly to make you feel lost and hypnotic. What caught my eyes toward this film was the camera work. It fits perfectly because it is supposedly to make you feel lost and that's what made me feel interested and compelled for this film.

A very well established of shots and well-use of sets that made it so beautiful.

I would want to say something toward the storyline but I honestly can't because I need subtitles to understand the story despite that I'm a deaf person myself and I can't hear or understand what the voice-overs are saying. If it is possible that you could re-do this film with subtitles add-on which would be greatly appericated because I want to know how you pulled this off to make it so good.

Hey look, I finally got a chance to watch your movie! Yay for me! It was like watching a Kurt Vonnegut novel. Only really good. I love the camerawork, any more and it would be overdone, but you did just the right amount. Compelling story and great music (almost chose a couple of those songs for my movie!). And of course all the voice actors are great, you picked some of my favorites. Awesome.

I'm Confused...holy crap. I thought I knew what was going on until the end. I'm lost i do believe :)

I'm going to start with saying this is one of the most professional looking TMO movies I have ever seen.

Editing was top notch.
The VOs were Superb
Sets - Awesome
Mods - Fabulous
Music - Great selections...so much that i'll need to check out the site you mentioned in the credits.

Story - I don't know yet. The 1st part has me wanting more, but it seemed slow. At times i found myself bored and wanting something interesting(to me)to happen. I see people saying this is original but from what I've seen it seems to be another take on The Matrix or Vanilla Sky...

With all that said I'm not saying your movie is good, because it is but i think it only deserves 4 stars. That way there is room for #2 to grab it.

The Archaic Awards
Review

Story: 10/10 This was a very interesting story that kept my attention for the whole 16 min. I wanted to know what happened. I wanted to see the end, only to find an unexpected twist followed by a beautiful filmed action sequence. This story had ups, downs, twists, turns, making my own mind feel scrambled.

Music: 6/5 The music in this movie was perfect for the atmosphere. With a subtle touch of mystery, yet the right amount of conflict to keep the movie flowing. Good job!

VO/Subs: 12/10 Every actor in this film delivered such brillient performances that I have to give this a 12 out of 10. Jazzx blew me away. Obviously Dulci's best performance along with other great talent. Every word was clear and precise. No second guessing what was said. I knew and I understood.

Script: 5/5 A beautiful script for a beautiful movie. The lines were realistic and very well written. I can tell some research was done so that terms were used correctly when it cam to narcotics and detective work. Good job!

Extras: 6/5 This was by far the best freecam I have seen yet. It didn't feel like it was just there. It was there to enhance the motion picture. The entertainment value went up with the stunning mods and the brillient overlays as well.

Editing: 14/15 A perfect movie except for one thing. I felt the sex scene was a little out of place. I am sure there was a legitimate reason for it, and that it wasn't placed into the movie just because it is a sex scene. Other then that though, excellent scene transition. Great scene choice and a good time length!

Final Score: 53/50

Great work. Very very good Flick.
I love the way you've used the cam. The set dressing is very good too & a lot of Time has obviously gone into every detail.
The Music & sounds were well chosen.
Some great VO's... Not huge on the choice of voice for Deller but all the others were great. Some excellent moments. A fantastic Movie Chuck..

Hohoho!!! I can't beleave I didn't watch this before! Shame on me! I'm sorry, but this movie don't desearve a 5 stars rating, should be more!

This was absolutly incredible! Almost everything was so perfect. The only bad thing I can tell is when there's the screen black and whyte with the sound of a TV, it's just breaking my ears. But this is really nothing compare to the great work you did on this movie.
VO's were perfect, the actors are really full of talent (even if I didn't understand all they said, but almost. But it's only because I'm not an english speaker). The music was fantastic (I really love classical music) the background sound were well made too.
The freecam work was fantastic and the editing too.

I'm going to watch second part right now, and thanks for entertain me.

I can just say one word "Wow"! This movie is truely a masterpiece. I've never thought that someone could do such perfect camera work the TM. The visual effects are the greatest that I've seen on TMO. The orginal story is well plotted and you can't kept your eyes away from the screen. The cast is also just brilliant and the soundtrack fits in perfectly. This is easily the most unique viewing experience that I have had. You deserve all the stars in the world for this endeavor. You were able to incorporate so many things in such a concise and slick neo-noir sci-fi thriller. You touched on topics of drug use while still telling a classic mystery story. You even posed questions about the true nature of memory in relation to our existence. The best thing about this film is the tone. I love the slightly futuristic touches, and I can tell that you were very careful not to overwhelm the viewer with traditional science fiction iconography. I am astounded at how well you were able to capture the essence of true film noir. I, myself, have started scripting a psycho-noir thriller so I know how difficult a task this can be. It is always encourageable to attempt to defy the traditinal genres, but understanding them and mastering their intricacies can prove to be just as impressive.

You have just reconfigured, once again, my whole concept of what can be done with "The Movies". And the astonishing part is that it is done with such simple yet effective elements as great, great camera angles, imaginative editing, chilling voices and emotion evoking music.
I couldn't care less about the story, because I'm so emerged in this universe you created that even the literature hugging narrative becomes secundary to the mind blowing visual style and amazing auditive experience.
I'm also very charmed by the very tastefull love scene at the end and the way it was handled. Beautiful.
And now, if you will excuse me, I am going to watch this again.

There is really only one thing I can say after a film of this... this... species...

Why didn't I download this sooner???

The Angel's Song:
Just about everything in this film and it's arthouse glory is that nothing in this film can really be considered wrong... About the only technical gripe I COULD EVEN FATHOM TO SAY was the cut where you went behind the pillar in the begining and for some daft reason, you tracked back and went up when it would seem more reasonable to just go all the way around and then up. But for some reason, regardless of whether I believe it is an "error" or not, the way the premise of the narrative is presented makes us doubt not only the validity of the story (Pay attention to the logic [If that term even still applies to the movie...] and order and see what I mean.) but the questionable value our memories have...

Back to the technical side, (and thus escaping that murky realm of the metaphysical and spritual, can we...) I want you to critique me! Even the voice actors you've might have gotten accustomed to seem to shine with a illustrious glow for this work. Even the bane of all TMO'ers... The sound sync problem, bows before the might of the aural glory of this film (and what a tune it is...) Every piece grooves into into it's place on the puzzle board and give it's part in the orchrestra of "Scramble". All the camera work, other than aft mentioned (Which my decision is questionable even now.) strikes a plaster painting on the wall that rivals that of Michelangello (Or since this is film, it would either be Hitch[eye-hurting-word!] or Kubrick.) The overlays, effective. Prop placement, snug. The sets, alive with dismal palettes.

In other words... on to the judgement...

The Judgement:
Simply... anything I say to you would be nothing compared to the accolades you have garnered (It is a crying shame this piece of Avantgarde is lowered off the top 5 in only a short time whilst films of MUCH lesser worthiness flourish.) I present you the following awards and the first 10 score ever given out by Regime Studios...

Actor's Voice: For High quality VA's
Bard's Tale: Exemplary Script Writing
Swift Cut: Spot On Editing
Artist's Touch: Great Use of Mods
Mystical Discovery: Sci-fi over 9.50
Graceful Eyes: Perfect Free-cam
Legacy Award: 9.75 film or over that is BOOKMARKED

You have only 1 more 9.50 or greater to receive the GREAT EMPEROR award. (Though after seeing this, I might have to come up with the Postmodernchuck award for being Postmodernchuck.)

Scales of Judgement: 10/10 (PERFECT!)

BEAUTIFUL: Everything...

(Sorry for the overly poetical prose review, I tend to change the way I speak with different filmmakers.)

WOW! FIRST OF ALL THE MOVIE HAD A VERY STRONG TOUCH TO IT. WORDS I WAS WANTING TO SAY COULD NOT COME OUT AFTER WATCHING THIS MOVIE VERY UNEEK AND ODD IN A WAY BUT STILL A NISE MOVIE I GIVE YOU 5 STARS FOR THIS MASTER PIECE

There have been a number of TMO movies I've watched lately that go beyond the 5-star scale, and this is yet another of those.

Perhaps most astonishing here is the dialog. It leaves me wondering whether I'm listening to poetry or watching a film. This is a beautifully written story in every sense.
Among the factors I tend not to consider in my rating is the voice-over work. This makes me wonder if I should. Every part is delivered exceptionally well, particularly from JazzX as Detective Deller.
The camera work here is fantastic... not just the use of freecam, but even more expertly in the choices made for every angle, every shot. Very artistically done!
And the production quality and presentation are both top-notch!

I struggle to find any flaws in this... except perhaps in myself. It's just too deep for this brain of mine. ;) I'm hoping Part Two can help fill in the answers the all the questions that linger, even after watching this twice!

So in short, this is a very artistic, very stylish, intelligently written, and superbly executed film! I look forward to the next part! And I'll have to come back to this studio to see the other offerings...

Philip K. D ick would be proud.

What is a memory? What is Scramble? What is real?

Is there any doubt a Postmodernchuck's movie will always provoke, intrigue and then hits you hard with his storytelling, lovely visuals and alluring musical score?

A story that has no beginning or end.

So where will it go in Part 2?

Expect this to be an honest reveiw.

Storyline- 98%

The storyline was one to be raved about. It is great. The story is what carries the movie, but this story made the movie fly. It was a spectacular series of well written stories.

Dialouge- 100%

All of the voice overs were PERFECT! They accuatly made you think that those charcters really had those voices.

Music 95%

The music is always a key element in a movie. If you don't get it right, then you sit there saying UGH! This one had the right music in all the right places.

Overall Grade: A

a fantastic journey where the lines of reality are so blurred that even the characters seem to be lost at times.

I can honestly say that is the most fantastic story i've seem on here. I'm at a total loss... damn that was just fantastic..and that ending to this part was so poetic...

In awe

Simply amazing! I cannot begin to explain how absorbed I was in this movie and how the real world imploded on me when To Be Continued flashed onto the screen.

The story is extremely deep. So much meaning has been squeezed into this non-linear menagerie of mystery, action, love and wonderment of human nature.

The mis-en-scene is fantastic. The city sets, the foutain room, even the trains were superb and so futuristic. I loved the looks of the characters, very convincing and I will never get those innocent looking robots from my mind!

The VO's are well performed and proffessional in every way. They carry the entire story with believable emotion and perfectly cast sounds. That haunting soundtrack is incredible. Such music as to create a tear in your eye or adreniline through your veins.

I recomend everybody watch this movie at least once as it is so enthralling that I believe anybody would be captured by it's magic no matter their usual genre favourite.

Congratulations Postmodernchuck, a real masterpiece!

Scene Selection (1/2 Given)

While extremely good choice in scene selection I had to give a ½ being as some scene creation had been done in this film. I am unable to duplicate some of this movie using the movies resources I have been given and would have to acquire some software to create some of the effects done from this film, still overall an amazing job done though.

Entertainment (Star Given)

I look forward to viewing another version of this film and was not disappointed or left bored in anyway.

Story (Star Given)

Amazing story and full of depth. Be sure and put on your thinking cap as you will need to immerse yourself into this film to fully understand it.

Voice acting or Subtitles (Star Given)

Excellent voice acting! Subtitles were not required as the voices were clear and understandable.

Editing (Star Given)

Scenes fit together well to design a master piece of movie artwork.

4 1/2 Stars

For your viewing pleasure, a highly caffeinated drink such as a ??Red bull?? or a ??Vault??. A huge bag of sour patch kid candy and several wedges of fresh lemons.

**MOMC Review**

Wow.

OK, so I have to admit... I've never seen one of your movies. I now realise that I have been missing out. :p

The story was... excellent... that doesn't even begin to describe it. I actually forgot that I was watching a movie made with TM. I could go on about the story, but my review would be too long. :p It certainly left me wanting more.

The visuals and editing were perfect. Some really excellent mods (and Rik's Near Future sets, which I love) combined with wonderful camera work and overlays gave this movie it's own unique look and feel.

The sound once again made me forget I was watching a movie made with TM -you didn't even get the sound bug, hehe. The VOs were extremely well acted, well done to all the VAs! :) The music you selected suited the movie perfectly and the custom Sound effects added that extra touch.

Overall... I go back to my original statement: WOW. Rarely does a film on TMO impress me this much. Please let me know when the next part comes out!

5.0 - Perfect!

MOMC Review 4.9 (5)
??Maybe every memory is a lie.?? Pay attention here kiddies. This is how it is done.

Every movie I review for MOMC I watch twice ?? once through while typing minimal notes and once stopping and starting to catch the details of moments I??d like to focus on. As with most of my reviews, I watched ??Scramble?? after waking up, my hair standing straight up, a cup of coffee warming my fingers in my overly drafty apartment, a lit cigarette clenched in my teeth. For long moments after the closing scenes, I remained frozen, hair still askew, coffee and smoke forgetten (which led to an amusing incident involving long ashes and burnt fingers, ahem). My first coherent post Scramble thought; postmodernchuck chose his user name wisely.

The ??flaws?? in this movie (and I use the term loosely as I feel they were artistic choices that were carefully agonized over) are few and incredibly subjective in nature (some viewers may find they are confused by the narrative in the second half of the film). But then they??d have to be subjective since the whole story challenges its audience to think on hard questions about the nature of reality. Are we the sum of our memories or more? Does your answer change if your memories can??t be trusted? Can any memory be trusted to begin with?

But that is what our dear PMC does best, he challenges us. With every movie he visualizes and carefully constructs a unique world peopled with characters whose sole purpose seems to be to ask us, ??How? Why? Should this be??? They are tales nurtured in a mind that needs those questioned answered, a mind that needs those worlds and people and questions out in the open to make room for more worlds and people and questions to be nurtured.

That there is a level of intellectual and philosophical obsession behind PMC??s creative process, I have no doubt. That he shares that obsession with us, gives me joy. Granted sometimes it??s an uncomfortable, squirming in my seat under the scrutiny kind of joy. But that??s not a bad thing.

woooow- This film is an absolutely brilliant work of art!! I have never seen anything quite like this film. The time and effort that went into making this movie definetly shows!
Voiceovers are fantastic: 10
custom work is absolutely brilliant: 12
Freecam cinematography is second to none: 12
Soundtrack is a masterpiece all on its own: 13
Editing is mind boggling. I could find no flaws, no rough edges, no anything other then a flawlessly streaming storyline that rocked my socks!
The best part about this film is its originality. Ya sure, the base story may have been used before, but MAN did you make it your own, Ive never scene ANYTHING like this! If there was a MOVIE OF THE YEAR award THIS movie would get it in my eyes. I bow down before the brilliance of the mighty CHUCK!

Wow. This the first movie I think that I've actually written for one of your flicks. I've taken a break from reviewing...but this was so cool I had to say something.

This film reminded me alot of Stanly Kubricks 'Clockwork Orange', wierd, trippy, and had classical music! They both kinda wanted to make me fall on the ground and foam at the mouth while in a siezure out of uniqueness. Never seen anything like this....ever....ever.
The cam shots were unreal, some were far out and crazy, while others made this look like a Hollywood blockbuster megablast. Dialogue was realistic, and the actors obviously knew how to act really flippin well.
Mods also gave this movie one hell of a kick-ass setting where I wasnt sure if the guy was trippin on Scramble the whole time or if this was real, which by the way was a really cool plot...

I'm gonna say all-in-all this is one of the single BEST movies on TMO, if anyone disagrees, their complete and utter losers.

Congrats post, on making an amzing film and recieving my SNUFFIN PUFFIN NOMINEE award (the first in over a month!)

I could go on for about twenty paragraphs on how good this movie is. But I can't, because I borderline retarded when it comes to reviewing: so please bare with me.

Story was crazy, got lost (don't know how) then got back on the trail and kept loving it. Camera angles were super cool, except for some things that drive me (only me) insane. Music choices seemed unqiuely ([eye-hurting-word!] spelling) you, the whole opera and yea... VO's were awsome, fit perfectly... The end sex scene seemed so wierd yet so utterlly cool. Whoever did the sounds did an amazing job. If I knew who he was I'd have sex with him in hope of getting some of those. The inner monologue (?) was cool, having the super sexy anamorphic widescreen for it was super cool. The static I hated.

Overall I hated this film because I don't I can top it. So stop making these, and make sh.t. Just pure sh.t. So I can... you know... get to the top. ;)

Hey PMC.
Hope I can call you that. The other name is way too long.
Here in the FunkyFilms studio we were impressed by the first part of your series. Therefore we would like to try to give you a proper review.

Story: The general idea of this movie is maybe a little hard to follow, but just the way i like it: complex. The idea of switching between different times is brilliant. I will give you 9/10.
Music: Because the movie is so gripping, the music may be a little hard to really listen to at all times. It fits perfect in the background and is generally great. I will give you 10/10.
Voices/Subs: This is what can really make a movie entertaining. (The voices i mean). When the voices are this good, holding high standards, Dulci, JazzX and others, it simply has to be a good movie. The sound is so clear. I will give you 10/10.
Camera/Filming: This is one of my personal favorites. Moving the camera around can really add to the tension. You moved the camera around well enough. I will give you 8/10.
Editing: This is also a crucial part of making a masterpiece. The editing in this movie was good, not to say fantastic. I will give you 9/10.
Originality: Very original storytelling. The way you did it, I already told you. Also the whole universe it was created in. I love it. I will give you 4/5.
Design: This is also good. I really like the poster and the credits. I will give you 5/5.
Special Part: This did have a special part indeed. At least for me. When they were talking on the train and he shot him. Or when the female detective was looking at the flowers and you could hear the sound effects. I will give you 4/5.
Poster: This was kind of included in "Design" but I will have to bring it up again. I will give you 5/5.
Overall: All in all a fantastic movie. I will give you 64/70.
This was probably all for now, hope I didn't miss anything. Good luck in the future and I look forward to seeing more from your side, waiting for part 2.

FunkyFilms.

Sure, you did again. The movie starts in this really, for me it looked strange, setting. Remained me somehow on greece and I have no idea why. This old megaphone and those classic music, you love to use it seems. And the introduction works. An introduction for one of the most interesting movies. A murder and a mysterious drug are the things which lead through the movie.

Quiet very extraordinary like every of your movies. Great work, wanna see part 2.

-JohnOkinawa-

What makes this film so strong? Well the fact that it takes me out of my seat in front of a computer and really puts me in a theatre seat. I did not feel like I was watching a Machinima film with digital actors, but these actors felt like they really had life. Who can we thank? The incredible writer who wrote the most flawless dialogue I've heard on TMO. The incredible actors/actresses who really gave the performances of their lives. And the director who uses the camera as if it were a paintbrush. He uses very smooth, impressive paint strokes. Also this movie is quite strong with some of the best music I've heard.

It's a bit ironic that Alan takes on this case about a drug that eats away memory and he himself has trouble with memory.
"We are all actors performing behind the curtain in our memories" I found that the director uses imagery and words to reveal some of the most important events in the movie. I found myself looking at Detective Alan in front of a curtain...

The sex scene was the most provocative sex scene I've seen on TMO and it definately beats that Porn Demo. It had meaning and it was passionate.

Clearly this is one of the top contenders when Gaga comes around. It will be hard to beat. One of the best movies on TMO by far.

I was gunna give a 4 star but i couldn't go past the cam work and the vo's. The story wasn't bad i've seen many films with a simular storyline and dialog, i've never been keen on in sci-fi films. And the music got a bit annoying after a while. But it was exceptional work so thats why the 5 stars.

A visual and poetic treat, Scramble is yet another TMO masterpiece from PostModernChuck...

The storyline and presentation were once again hallmark PMC, with stunning visuals, flawless camerawork, and gripping poetic dialog. Featuring a very original story of how frail and untrustworthy our own memories can be.

The audio and VO work was also excellent, with particularly great performances by JazzX ,Dulci and JosephKW and some really nice sound effects. The music was well picked, perfectly adding to the mood and tone of the film.

Overall, what can I say except that PostModernChuck has done it again, Showing why he is one of the best directors and film makers on TMO. I look forward to the sequel.

~Lost&Found Review~

A truely amazing work of art!

PMC has, once again, brought an original story and beautiful artwork in another amazing film. Everything about the film is stunning. The whole entire time watching the movie, I was amazed. There are so many aspects about this film that makes it original and superb.

The first thing I noticed was the exellent use of freecam. You made every scene look fresh with stunning camera angles all throughout the film. All the scenes were shot extremly well. This was defiantly some of the best use of freecam I've seen on TMO. Really great job with that.

Next aspect I noticed was the dialogue. I can tell that there was alot of time and effort put into writing the dialogue for this film. Also the the VA's did an amazing job of acting with the lines that really brought the characters to life. Also, the narration throughout the film was simply wonderful in so many ways. The dialogue was superb!

Another aspect of this film that really spoke to me was the use of such beautiful music. I found myself really enjoying the films music in all the scenes. The films music really brought this film an extra set of emotion. You really did an outstanding job with the films music.

In conclusion, this has so many elements of a TMO classic. The dark atmosphere made this film a truely entertaining piece. This is defiantly a bookmark and will also go into "My Documents" so I may enjoy it long after it is removed.

Great work!

Chuck released a new movie. Immediately I'm interested because the name PMC stands for movies with high quality standards. When I read about it and find out it's a neo noir I get excited, because noir is my favourite genre. What do I expect? Something like blade runner perhaps, something "Philip K. Dick"-style. A cool story with an unique visual style. - And Chuck delivers!
The first minutes of the movie already meet my expectations. Chuck's visual style of telling a story is always something special in all of his movies. The same with this one. And he always choses beautiful music that fits in so good. Maybe Chuck couldn't feel more at home in any other genre?
The first voiceovers convince me of watching a real noir. This voice and his way of talking is great for noir. I think this is the first movie I watched featuring JazzX, but I'm not sure. I knew him for his detailed reviews and was surprised that he is also a very good voiceactor.
The other voiceactors were good, too, but they didn't surprise me, because I knew they would be good.
Back to the movie. The story is very exciting, even though it's hard to tell how good a story is if you only know the first part of it. I think we can only judge it when we have seen the second part, too.
I think this movie is a step in the right direction for Chuck. In my opinion he is one of the best directors on TMO with a very own style, but most of his movies are not suitable for the masses. I think Scramble is.
The thing I dislike most about Scramble is the color. Sometimes there's too much color on screen for a real noir. I don't know if this is coincidence or had to be because of the limitations of the game or if there is an idea behind it, but in my opinion it could have been darker.
Synopsis: Scramble has a thought-out story, beautiful photography, is accompanied with wonderful music and just the same a movie for the masses.

5 Knife wounds to the chest isn't a sign of a struggle?

This reminds me a bit of Big O, and the use of classical pieces sends me back to the days of watching the BBC's version of Sherlock Holmes on PBS.

The format clearly suggests that Deller has been subjected to the drug, unless he isn't going back though his own memories. Very unusual stuff, and I like the use of narration. Its something that more movies could use, and TM fascilitates it well.

Good shooting and editing. The use of original models is certainly ok. The nudes were tasteful, I suppose. Sometimes it seems very overt though. Use of the freecam was excellent. I would like to mention a filmmaking convention called 'crossing the threshold'. Occasionally, but particularly during the robot fight scene, you'll have an exchange in which one character is doing something from the left, but then the effect will be felt from the left too. It isn't bad, but its the visual equivalent of a skip on a record. Everywhere else the effect is applied quite well, conversations and other exchanges don't cross the threshold at all. But with action its harder to maintain a rapid sequence without accidentally crossing over.

I know you were worried about how this would be recieved, whether you could it off. Being a big fan of your work, I was confident you'd pull it off. Then when I read the script, I would have bet money on this movie's success. It's a complex piece that not only entertains and thrills (in fact, the movie actually has more action than the script, as the whole Bot battle was a new addition), but also makes you think.

Your direction has always been marvelous, and so it is again. The pairing if the schizophrenic storytelling with lingering still shots and slow pans make for a great dynamic. Allowing the jigsaw puzzle pieces of information to sink in, rather than confuse. There were a few issues I had, however minor they were. I thought you maybe used the eye close-ups too much. I'm not really sure if they were a stylistic choice, or if they were used to hide continuity problems, but they seemed to appear a bit more than necessary. Also the fight scene between Deller and Marco could have been refined a bit, made to flow a little better. Don't me wrong, it worked as is. In fact I kind of enjoyed the fact that the majority of the fight was off-screen. When I used to draw comic books in art classes, one of the rules of thumb was "if you can draw it, hide it.", and I felt like that was what you were doing to a certain extent. I know action scenes aren't your usual fare, so I thought it rather clever to do that.

Voice Action was top notch. You really seem to have a talent for finding the right people for the parts, and then giving them something to work with to get the most out of their performances. The script just had so much life in it, that for me at least, the characters just leapt off the page.

One of the big highlights for me in this was the sound direction. The use of sound effects and music was just incredible. I don't think I've heard sound effects used nearly has well in a TMO movie as I have here. And the choice of music really reminds me of Kubrick, how he would use classical music and such in scenes of action or suspense to create a different reaction to what you would normally have to the same scene scored to your usual pulse-pounding stuff.

So with this, you leave me drooling in anticipation of not only part 2 of this fantastic film, but for what comes after. I think this will open new doors for you. I really want to see you spread your wings, and play with other styles of film and then turn them on their heads and create something new out of them. :)

I was pretty curious to see how your unique style (melancholic, and closer to litterature than to cinema) would adapt itself to science fiction...all I can do is that I'm really not disappointed! many unique moments (the fight with robots..again more melancholic or disturbing than violent, the final of this episode... ) that has to do with the subject of this movie : the confusion beetwen fiction and reality, past and present... your way of telling your story really serves your subject perfectly. I have no idea of where your story will take us, even if it seems to my mind quite close to the universe of Philip K. Dick - which may be wrong, but very a quality for me!
gratz again and again and thx for this moment!

--[SHOUJO SHOP REVIEW]--

Greetings! This is Ari and Manami of the Shoujo Shop! We've been told that ALPHA 60 has just released a film and since we're a big fan of ALPHA 60's work, we decided to check it out!

First, we would like to begin that ALPHA 60 never ceases to amaze us, and this is absolutely no exception! The camera work is genius and it flows very wonderfully like a well-written poem. There's no doubt behind this ingenuity.

Usually, us maidens don't normally like multi-part movies, but we think this could be an exception here as we will be definitely looking forward to more! That, and if Kirin recommends the film to us, then it must be good!

The movie as a whole sets a standard in both technical and artistic merit and we applaud you with this! Not only it has a grand use of props, but a very fluid story and atmosphere.

There is one minor issue that we did wondered and how come Alan and Clara weren't wearing raincoats when it was raining? Wouldn't they get wet? But considering that it was the future, I guess we could let this slide.

What we would like to know in the subsequent episodes are more details about this mysterious Scramble drug. It puzzles us to wonder about the importance of this unusual narcotic.

Overall, it's definitely a great film and well worth the download. Great work!

OH MY GOD.

That was amazing...A truly mind-blowing adventure into the unthinkable capacity of the human mind. This movie brings the startling realization that our entire reality is shaped by memories. The movie plays with the fact, dangles it in front of the viewer, makes us yearn to know more.
This was a truly genius film. Not just genius for TMO, or genius for being made by some guy on the internet, but genius by any standard.
The visual effects were stunning, that last sequence had me unable to blink. The imagery and symbolism in this film are unparalleled.
I just can't say enough about how impressive this movie is, I am somewhat speechless and running out of words fast.
Beautiful.

If I injected an orgasm into my arm and stabbed my heart with gold it wouldn't come close to your masterpieces.

This is pure genius filmmastery, simple as. I have been waiting for this for a while, and I thought J. Alfred Prufrock Considers the Infinite couldn't be topped. I was wrong. :P

The voice acting was completely top notch, easily audible, and superb... well, acting, I suppose. The emotion could be felt, and I hadn't heard JazzX's voice before so I was shocked that he was so good. Everyone else's acting was top notch, Dulci brilliantly playing ANOTHER love interest. (:P) But then again, it's easy to see why she's picked for movies, she's that great.

The mods were used brilliantly, real attention to detail there. I was going to say 'Not overused' but for the purposes of this film it was used constantly. And not to a negative effect, in keeping the sets and atmosphere consistent you made it seem more real, not something made in a computer game.

The story was spectacular, I had heard the TMOA commercials and gained naught but a sense of suspense for this film. Which is a good thing, made me watch it. ;) "Typical" PMC spectacular scripting, the whole plot was excellent.

Camerawork was spot on, or even higher. I adored the way you used the overlays to capture the love scene in each 'section' of the screen. The widescreen overlay was brilliantly used. You brilliantly use the scene-copying trick to make the camera flow from one spot to the next to another, and another. The film just works.

In conclusion, (Sheesh, I sound like I'm writing an essay. Strange that it's the same thing I'm procrastinating from...) you have crafted a typically hard TMO genre into a tapestry of audible, visual and atmospherical ecstasy. That's why I'm awarding you the Platinum Badger Award! I seriously look forward to the next installment.

Wow! I shouldn't even write a review to this one, as I have nothing to tell you other than this was absolutely great! Everything is top notch - story, camerawork, VO's, music, scenes, costumes... you sure have put a lot of effort making this one! Im confident that this movie will be in the top charts, and it definately deserves it!
Maybe it was on the longer side, it could have been cut down a little... but that was not a big problem at all. Problably the only thing I could think of :)

Good luck with future projects, you certainly prove that you're one of the top movie makers on TMO! Great!

Blowing the whole film world away once again is the mastery of Postmodernchuck??s unique creation. With his new film Scramble he reinvents the Sci-fi genre as poetry. Compellingly beautiful and very adult in scope and content this is his quantum leap forward as a filmmaker.

The voice cast is exceptional with the stunning performances of the leads as voiced by JazzX and Dulci. Indeed these are two of our finest actors in their finest hour. The rest of the cast as well, DaRKoNe462, Vesobe, JosephKW, Azure, and Postmodernchuck himself deliver incredible performances. Real movie magic!

The mods used in this film are among the best I have seen. Their creators, Rik Vargard, Fraasmovies,
Patella, Nunberry, DaRKoNe462, Temple of the Gods, deserve mention not only here but should be remembered when the TMO awards season rolls around.

Also the sound contibution, which plays such an important role in this film is to be applauded in the work of Michael_b6.

The screenplay is complex and brilliant and shows that the fracturing of narrative is here in this film brilliantly achieved. Wonderful cinematography, a hallmark of Postmodernchuck??s style and vision, creates a dream world unlike any other. The music is beautiful and stunningly used to add depth and feeling to this film. His use of free cam is by far the best we will ever see here on TMO. How does he do it? Ah well there in lies the secret of this magician of visual style.

Scramble is a must see for all who love great and challenging film making. Once again I must bestow upon this filmmaker the MGM Platinum Seal of Approval for his exceptional work and brilliant mind.

A must see.

That was one of the most thought-provoking films I've seen on TMO in recent memory (but then again, can any memory be trusted?). See what you've done? I'm starting to question my own experiences (or are they my own?). Insightful and enlightening. Appropriate choice of unsettling sets and haunting music scores enhance this stylish piece immensely. The voice performances and casting was perfect (if I do say so myself). I eagerly await the end (if there is such a thing). Congratulations on creating a lasting, cherished memory.

A feast for the eyes. This is an absorbing science fiction movie, which at times hypnotizes us with its beauty, and seduces us with its magnetic pull, and is chockfull of breathtaking moments that will be remembered by all.

While I confess the notes of Madama Butterfly playing and the white noise screen transitions felt a little bit reminiscent of other movies, soon enough I felt the weight of the story pulling me in slowly into this wonderful creation - this enigmatic world of mystery and noir that feels so real. Like a good bulky novel that I hold in my hands, this was a real fictional universe that I would gladly dive and nestle in.

Each scene, every frame of this movie is a marvel in itself. This visual spectacle guides our journey, as we watch the pieces of the puzzle coalesce and form the shape of ? we don??t know yet what - as we impatiently wait for the second part.

Thank you for this magnificent experience.

Godlike.
Complete cinematic genius.
Gripping. Your movie making style just pulled me in and wouldn't let me go. I'm still trapped, cause I'm left desperate to find out what happened next!
This movie makes me wonder why your still on TMO and not making movies for real. I'm serious, the experience of watching this movie was far more worthwhile than watching a feature length film.

A million stars for good luck.

Again we descend down the path of dialog driven drama and are submerged into a world unlike any other you've created before, or any that will be created. Like always the story wraps around great characters but is enhanced by your excellent dialog and powerful music.

Best Movie Ever. It nearly surpasses my unreachable expectations, well done. It fully leaps above any film you've created before, and for a man of your skill and status that is an accomplishment worth recognition, recognition I'm sure this film will achieve. I haven't reviewed a movie like this in a while, wanting to give it five stars...wanting to watch the next part...wanting to put the pieces together...

Wow. Every time I watch a movie by you, I think wow, can he top that with his next movie? And yes, he (you!) can... I love the story. I´m quite confused right now, I don´t know what is fact and what Scramble induced dream.. what did happen, and what not? I´m always amazed by the way you are using scenes, I love the one in the subway.. the camera work is outstanding, it all fits together so well, the editing, the music.. every second, a new plot twist kept me on the edge of my seat, and when the movie ended I thought: Noooo! I want more!! Great voiceacting, too, the characters were brought to life so much.. so here I sit with bated breath, hoping that I will be able to watch the next part soon! For me, this is an instant TMO classic!

Well Chuck, that sci-fi thriller movie of your's was truly a masterpiece!!! It was very entertaining, it didn't drag on at all, I was completly entertained for all of those 16 mins! Now, your script-writing is really good shown from writing this movie as it is a very intricate script, a hot one i might add!!!!
The movie was very well made, with a lot of good points, firstly, the plot was so deep and interesting [I don't know how the other part will be like to this part!], but anyway it was very well shot, I loved your choice of free-cam, also the way you used tiny little screens near the end of the movie, also it was edited very and a very enjoyable movie PMC!!! I loved the sound-track as well, very good and the movie was defiantly arty and amazing!
Movie percentage=100%= a very enjoyable sci-fi that is shot astoning well and also a movie in which everything comes together, the superb acting [loved the cast], they all suited they're characters, the music, the writing, the editing, your choice of free-cam! A futuristic and deep story filled with twists and turns at every switch of a button. The story is immersive as you've captured the total and surreal feel of a future style film-noir that feels so real you can taste it. The Characters fully enhanced and felt like they were living and breathing. You had a sense of reality and unreality which was blurred by the simple yet effective use of narrative content which was breathtakingly done well! All VO's were top notch with some truly awesome moments, namely Paul Zaccharias! among others. The use of music was Exquisite with excellent cuts and edits. The editting of the whole film was superb with some of the subtlest and inspiring free cam usage I have ever seen. After JR Prufock I was expecting something big and this is Even bigger than that. Merging several genre's together to create a fusion of flavours that brings total and ultimate pleasure with every second that went by, I thoroughly enjoyed this film from start to finish and I look forward to the next part. Quite Easily one of the Best Sci-Fi Thrillers on TMO which should not go unoticed by anyone. I would love to Collaborate with you as you already know so maybe that could be food for thought. All the best and I will actively promote this Nuketastic Production! Well Done and...

Storyline ?? Beautiful start. I liked the deepness of the articulated thoughts. Actually every single sentence seemed well-advised and indispensable to me. The characters were deep and multidimensional. I additionally adored the whole ??Scramble?? concept and the scrutinising of Reality. It hauled a Philip K. Dick feeling to me. The Subway-scene is one of the coolest I know. There are several nice plottwists in that scene. It??s a complex story without technical faults and without Deus ex machina, which is really infrequent today. 30% out of 30%.

Anomaly Factor ?? The storyconcept is not absolutely new. There are several authors this movie is related to. Like Asimov, Dick, Lem et cetera. But you don??t steal ideas and your story has a beautiful personal touch, which I really adore. This is a new concept for TMO. 18% out of 20%
STORYTECHNICAL RATING: 48% out of 50%

Voiceover 10%: Some of the best Voiceover-talents were assembled here. Especially JosephKw which has one of the coolest, scariest and deepest voices I know.
Music 9%: There are a lot of directors who used Vivaldi in their movies. Rightly! Because this is one of the coolest musical pieces out there. Escpecially for movies. I liked the contrast of that Sci-Fi world and the classical music. Brilliant use of sounds here.
Camera 7%: A little bit agitated. Sometimes to fast and furious, sometimes to static. There is not really a flow. But some camera-angles are simply brilliant. I liked the whole subway thing.
Cut 10%: Nothing to beef here.
Effects and Design 10%: Liked it very much. Good use of props, sets, costumes and overlays!
TECHNICAL RATING: 46% out of 50%

Overall = 94% = Numinous = 5 stars

A lot of effort went into this piece. And nothing of it was deflagrated. This is so far the most awe-inspiring movie on TMO. This movie has the potential to become a real TMO classic. Change your name, Postmodernchuck! This is an instruction. Postmoderngod sounds and fits better! ;)
