Maya is totally awesome! She's the babe for me!
I loved the way you shot this movie, full of style and elegance bringing each scene to life in a new and special way.
Really clever camera tricks and superb setdressing. Each episode leaves me wanting more, Stolen Death is on my TMO subscription now as I can't ever let Maya go.
I haven't mentioned the music yet have I? Totally awesome, really good choices, fitting the visuals perfectly.
No glitches, no problems, pure entertainment! Keep it up!

??Chapter Two: South?? is everything what I had hoped for, after the engrossing first part of this series. The plot deepens, but at the same time retains enough mystery as at the end of part one. The opening sequence is immediately fetching, as the camera hovers the familiar and yet so different urban sets. Although the scope and the setting is clearly laid out, the saga of self-discovery unweaves only gradually as she (now we have a name?), continues to be haunted by fleeting images. There are hints of, maybe, military experiments? Is she even human? The brother characters are very enticing and the final scene in which she decides against instinct is also a very telling ending. I had no problems at all with the subs, in fact I have nothing but praise on everything technical in this movie. Next chapter, please.

Hopefully I'm one of the first to review as far as I'm concerned one of the most anticpated movies on TMO. This is an incredibly well thought out and interesting chapter. We now know a little more about ?? Some of ??'s past is now revealed, and the only real thing we know is that 'Killing is Easy'. I now anticipate the North Chapter even more because ?? is certainly going to unleash her fury. All in all the series is compelling viewing so far.
On a technical note some of the freecam work and editing is incredible. This one of the few movies that is technically as good as it's narrative (usually on TMO it's one or the other). Thrown into the mix some great dialog delivered excellently. More drama than action, but this adds build up, it adds tension, and like I mentioned before creates anticpation for the action that I'm sure that ?? and your good self will unleash. All in all another incredible movie.

That was really awesome. I was riveted to the screen. The plotline was advanced significantly and drew me in each step of the way. The music was cool too and had a "Bourne" feel to it. I am off to view the last 2 episodes.

The story is building and is getting better all the time! This second installment has all of the building elements as we learn more of the story. The opening was amazing sharp sisch! I appreciate your eye for the shots and the dialog. The overlays are awesome particularly the reconstruction scene! That was very cool!
Well off to the next installment.

This is an awesome series! Very well done. You deserve all the credit you've received. This is very well written and paced. Cool music and mods too. The VO work is very good. The subtitles did go fast but I was able to follow what was going on. I really liked the scene where it showed the girl changing to what she looks like now. Great job! Continued success.

The story is beginning to shape up as a little more is revealed about Maya.

This was a good episode with clarification of events. The voice actors were excellent and the use of the soundtrack was well done to match the atmosphere of the film.

Looking forward to the next part.

I'm very impressed by your work on this movie. First, the use of overlays is really nice, for example when the face of the woman changes, or the transition at the beginning. But above all, the story catch me once again. There are a lot of mysteries, it's delicious to follow it. The woman looks like to be a real murderess programed to kil.
Use of camera and others technical details are great.
See you for the next part.

Another great addition to this trillogy! The camera angles were amazing and the VO's spectacular. This is a great way of telling a story, where we learn things right along with the character and get to "See" from her perspective (not litterally "see" things, but more so see what she's going through. You know what I mean, I hope?). The ending was also perfectly gripping, tantalizing the viewer and making them want to see the next one right away. Great job on this!

This is a fine example of presenting excitement and information while luring the viewer deeper into the story and the next episode. AND it was all done in under 11 minuets. The talent for film making on display in this feature is right up there with the best TMO offers with everything crafted tight and exact. A delight to view and become entangled in.

I love the long mysterious opening credits and scene. I like the way you worked it, in Chapter One she was simply leaving but starting Chapter Two she's... It makes me wonder, it makes me think (what little bit I can) I like movies that do that to me. Tho I must say the end has me confused (I wish I could figure things out better than I do) I thought she killed the two helping guys, yet they are not dead, maybe Chaper Three explains it... :)

And the tale of the tortured soul continues! This story is keeping me at the edge of my seat. You give us just enough to peak our interest for more....MORE MORE MORE...oh wait there are 2 more chapter? YES YES YES! Techinically nothing has changed from the first to the second. Still sharp editing and great use of backdrops but it's the great use of FREECAM that standss out to me in this chapter!

A great second part, from the first panoramic shot, to the blood red thoughts of killing the brothers. Again, beautifully shot and edited, particularly the jump cuts. And I MUCH preferred the flashbacks in this chapter. I'm looking forward to chapter three now.

My apologies for not having watched and reviewed this sooner (I swear I already had seen part ii... guess I need to CHECK and not just ASSUME!)

Anyway... this is a great film. Even though I barely know any german, the voice perfomances sounded terrific. More importantly, the story is engrossing. And the way your portray it to us with your camera work and overlays, etc... it works perfectly.

A must see. (Speaking of must sees... on to part iii!)

Ahhh there is nothing better in a series than part of the mystery figured out while at the same time new mysteries arise. Stolen Death Chapter Two is just as good as the first movie, with the same quality of camerawork and storytelling. The flashbacks are some of the best I've seen, showing just fleeting images but done in a way that the viewer see's just enough to piece together what is happening. A high quality sequel and I cannot wait to see what happens next.

This continues the fantastic modern sci-fi mystery, told in the same disciplined manner as the first chapter. While this chapter is primarily exposition, it still manages to captivate the viewer, and have them pining to see the story continue. We've now learned plenty about our mystery woman, but there are still questions to be answered about her former captors.

Overall enjoyment: 34/35. Thoroughly enjoyable! The one point here is primarily for this being the "slower" portion of the overall story.

Editing: 29/30. Almost everything here is perfect: scene selection, scene flow, use of free-cam, sound effects, and music are all used to their full extent. There was one thing I noticed that I'll bring up in the suggestions area.

Production Value: 15/15. You've delivered it all in this part! Superb work on costumes, props, and overlays throughout the film. The intro title and credits stay on those extra couple of seconds. I think they could stay on even a second or two more, but I was able to read them through this time without having to pause it.

Characters: 10/10. Great characters, continued on from the first chapter!

Dialog: 10/10. Great dialog as well! Maya is perhaps a little short on words, but it suits her character.

Total: 98/100.

5 stars!

My suggestions: Alright, I have to get *really* nit-picky to be able to give you any suggestions. But I've resolved myself to give something for every movie I review, so here it is.
During the opening title sequence, there is a small but noticeable "jump" as the camera pans. It occurs when you have two identical shots, but one of them has an overlay. It takes a lot of care to fix this, but I know it can be fixed. When you're editing these shots in Post Production, here's how you can ensure the camera motion remains smooth: Take the shot with the overlay and put it at the beginning of the timeline. Position the timeline marker 0.05 seconds past where you want to make the cut, and make the cut. Then take the shot without the overlay, put it at the beginning of the timeline, and this time make the cut exactly where you want it (and when I say "exactly", I mean it can't even be 0.01 seconds out). Move them back in place. Cutting the first clip slightly past the cut point will ensure a smooth transition, as long as the cut point is at a half-second or full-second interval. (Hopefully this all made sense...)

I'm always telling people (in the real world) that I'm not a big fan of Sci-Fi. But for some reason I've really gotten into several top class Sci-Fi movies on TMO. This movie or at least the series so far is certainly no exception.

I'm convinced after watching the parts one and two of this series that it should be made into a real life one. I think the plot, story and characterisation is more than good enough.

Here we now begin to learn something of Maya's past and why she is behaving the way she is. And who can blame her after what she has been subjected to.

??There is no coming to consciousness without pain.?? - you're telling me, after the amount I had to drink on New Year's Eve ...

Not a promising start - the two characters in the street sounded like they were in contact from the moon or something. A V.O. audio quality issue there.

But after that, although very much a chapter with loads of chatter and hardly any action, the chatter was handled excellently. Great performances from the 3 main characters and, indeed, a scene stealer from the tortured scientist ("I know you can't forgive me. I can't forgive myself.")

The flashbacks were handled well once again - and the transformation scene was outstanding. One of the best ever special effects scenes on TMO.

In general I loved the reveal of her story (which was what this chapter was all about) - beautifully handled.

The ending was actually terrifying - to say why would give it away ...

Once again, good music and sound effects (I've noticed a very distinctive sound effect when she comes to conciousness in these films so far) and an intelligent script.

Time for part 3, "East" (? or is it North?) ...

I??m still recovering from shock after being viciously mislead about the nature of this movie, I was told there would be cookies?

I liked the effect of the violent flashbacks throughout the movie which were shown in an erratic pattern so you??re more accurately displaying what she sees from her view point.

The plot was interesting as we the audience (or I at least) know only as much as the main character is told herself. We??re being drip-fed information instead of having the story handed to us like so many movie-makers seem to do in a few scenes just to get it out the way. Here the plot feels necessary, drives more events on instead of being a burden until finally we partially understand what she is.

I may have been a tad disappointed that she didn??t get to kick bum in this part, but then again with the fighting in the previous, I guess it was necessary to slow our heart rates in preparation for the final 2 parts. If you had fighting in every section it would eventually be dull and repetitive.

As usual the voiceovers had a good performance in them, especially the female lead as it became apparent that her tone seemed practically emotionless, which when interacting with other characters made it easier to see the difference and also cast her in a slightly scary perspective.

For my first view of stolen death I turned my television off, my PC speakers up and got ready to watch all 4, needless to say this is a movie that delivers on every aspect. I love the fact this is a series giving an opportunity to not only develop but let us get to know the characters and understand the story more and more with each second, the music chosen is perfectly paced with each scene and from one of the flicks (I am leaving the same review for all 4 as I did just consume this as a series) With the end of every installment I was salivating for more! The love scene was filmed not only with care and class, but left me with a feeling of awe to camera work done to such perfection I can??t even grasp how it was done so well. Kudos to you and your entire cast on an outstanding series that I am now hooked on! I look forward to seeing and finding out more about The Every famous, Stolen Death!

MoMc Review: 3.9

It was a very good movie, and it had a LOT to live up to, following the original movie. I loved the questions it answered about Maya, and the more it raised, but overall I still think the first chapter was the better of the two.

The visuals were good -- fine use of overlays, and some great use of the camera. Imagery is very good in the flashback sequences, but I can't say that it really pushes the bar in any way. Music used is great, though some of the voiceovers had problems -- one of the voices near the start (with the echo) had too much of a delay in between each part, making it harder to understand than it should have been. It's a very atmospheric movie. I'd suggest getting some help with the translation of the subtitles, since even though the meaning came across, the english was a little off.

Though the movie was a much slower pace than the first chapter, I didn't feel as though it really fit the genre you've submitted it to here, which counts it. It's still very good, but it doesn't fit, if you know what I mean. Still, am looking forward to the next one ;)

*** MoMc review ***

I heaven't seen part one, yet, so I had my fears that I would be missing to much of the backstory to enjoy that movie, but you managed to weave enough of the happenings thus far into your movie to make it easy to follow what happened.

An interesting movie intro, a bit jumpy but that can be excused, with a complex camera drive, that sets the mood for the movie eventhough we start sweeping over what looks like a near future city moloch and spend the rest of the movie, or so it feels, in some hidden away cabin in the woods.
And although this is a very dialogue heavy movie, the flashbacks inject enough action into it to satisfy the hunger of those that are not keen on listening to an nonstop 10 min. dialogue track (again subjective felt).

Not that I would have minded, you've assembled a great VO cast for your movie, with your own VO standing out flawless as usual, and Willy-Wonka (whose voice in this movie one has to get used to) and Braincom made a perfect pair adding a certain lightness and charm to a otherwise dark themed movie.

I can't comment much on the subs, apart from the fact that I found it quite distracting to have German VO and English subs, but that's just me.

A very entertaining, almost flawless movie.

Overall 4.6

Chapter Two deepens the plot yet still, questions remain. She has a name, a purpose now. Killing is easy for her, but she resisted it for a moment, showing some restrain and control of her ability during the ending of Chapter Two. The scalpel sequence was very good.

So what's next? Only the Chapter Three will provide the answer.

The story unveils itself like a striptease dancer meticulously removing layer upon layer, with hints sometimes subtle and at times gross of what truly lays beneath. This was a fascinating storyline presented with both restraint and flair as only Sisch can. Your fans eagerly await the next direction this movie ventures to.

Sehr fein.

Fazit: Ich will Teil 3 >_>

Eine sehr gute Fortsetzung. Guter Kameraeinsatz, Spitzen VO. Gratulation an alle Voice-Actors.

So your on the first place now huh? Well since I like Sci-Fi I like your movie!!
Good use of cam perspective. Good cut. Great VO´s. Nice change of scenes. I didn`t get the first part so it took a while to get into the story. Oh yeah and excellent music! The effects are good too! Keep it up and nice to found someone who I can race with about the first place :)

A great Sci-Fi/Mystey production!!!

Great. Even though there wasn't really any action, we got something else: some previous events, we got to know some about her past and it was just great. Fantastic job. Let me know when you release 'North'.

VO super! Soundtrack grenzt an Genialität! Editing grandios!
Super!

Editing 50/50 :: Story 45/50 :: VoiceOver/Subs 50/50 :: Soundtrack 50/50 :: Impression/Eindruck 45/50
--> Stolen Death - Chapter Two >> rated /nP/ for "nearly Perfect"! >> 48/50 >> 5 Stars!

Fazit: Sehr guter zweiter Teil! :-)

Wow. You are going from strength to strength. The storyline you have created is nothing short of epic. Everything about this movie oozed quality from the editing right down to the music. I am more drawn in the more the plot unfolds and you have an entertaining series now that deserves to be top of the TMO pile. Excellent work.

wow Was soll man da noch sagen?

Just as interesting as part 1, we learn a bit more about ???, her story is so intriguing I was on the edge of my seat. I'm so impatient I want to know more about ??? right now :-)
You have such a great voice and your acting is superb.
Editing and vo work were all of the highest standard.
A true masterpiece

Next chapter, please.

absolutely... astonishing...

The story of 'Maya'... a mystery... a woman who was once working for the defence forces was transformed, and she is after her revenge... or is she?

AMAZING...

The slow camera lurks around the ominous city street buried under the deep fog, and we are hooked. But that??s just the beginning. The story completely grips you, with mind-boggling flashbacks??such a lovely mental strip tease??and surprising expositions. An absorbing story, adroitly told, this is my favorite Schish film up to now. It is just evident that a lot of thoughts have been put into this movie, and it is such a pleasurable treatment. Could the two old men have been developed into more strong characters? Could the pace have been tightened up slightly (around Maple??s video presentation)? Perhaps, perhaps not. In any case, this was TMO at hit best.

Another excellent part to the Stolen Death series. We have to admit I was a little afraid this one wouldn't live up to the previouse film, but it went far beyond our expectations. From the amazing editing, to the superb interlacing story line, you have really outdone yourself sisch.

Here are some of my favorite scenes:

1.The Surgery - This scene left my jaw on the floor

2.The Awakining - When she first gets up. and takes a look in the mirror to once again faint. This right here explained alot in the series.

3.The sign of Mercy - Maybe our hero can feel after all!

At any rate this series is sure to be a TMO classic

Ah, top notch movie making here :)
The narrative is all, its compelling, obsessive, you just HAVE to know what happened to her. And now we now her name...
Great mood creation, I just looove the opening: awesome free cam and opening credits, together with menacing music. Awesome voices as well.
It still reminds me a lot of "Universal Soldier", so far :)
An equally exciting and well crafted part two.
This is well on its way to become THE most complete series on TMO as yet.
Damn, I don't have enough stars to give...

Anomaly factor ?? This movie didn??t stun me. There are some very typical hollywoodesque things in it. The wife as killing machine is a little bit boring I think. It??s nothing else as a feminine version of Terminator. The story isn??t deep enough in this part. 5% out of 20%

Storyline ?? The thing with the Security cam tape is a little bit inapt I think, because why should he run into the burning house, risking his life, to get a security cam tape? That??s a little bit exaggerated I think. And the thing with the threatened family is a little bit too typical and flat. The screenplay is very rough and shoal. There aren??t good plottwists here. It??s very slow. But there a some good rudiments. I liked the waking-up scene in the beginning with the two homeless guys. 15% out of 30%
STORYTECHNICAL RATING: 20% out of 50%

Camera 9% - Beautiful camera angles; maybe a little bit to reposeful sometimes, but that??s insignificant;
Cut 10% - Extraordinary cut; You used a lot of camera angles and created a brilliant composition out of it.
Music 8% - The use of music in the beginning is very good. That??s how Soundtracks should be. It??s a perfect assist to the images, and creates an awesome atmosphere. Only some of the techno tracks, especially in the end, seem misplaced to me.
Voices 10% - Some of the best Voiceactors are assembled here. They perform a very good job.
Effects and Design 10% - Brilliant use of sets, fogs, props. Very good. Especially the operation scene sticks out.
TECHNICAL RATING: 47% out of 50%

67% = Above??average = 4 stars
