"NO GREATER FURY" was selected as one of the final 15
for the MACHINIMA AWARD at the BITFILM festival 2007.
Winner of "The Golden Gun Award" in the Best of MoMc week nine
as best action movie.
A short movie for the "Finish the Story" competition,
where it finished as one of four Runners Up.
The Visual "Comic Book" Style was inspired by the Computer Game "XIII",
which itself was based on a Belgian comic Book series.
I had fun making this :)

I enjoyed the comic book style. It was done extremely well to go along with the narrative of the film. Good music accompaniment. Very well done.
My only detraction was with the ending narrative which was a bit over the top.

Man, I'm glad I check this one out! Now this film was completly original! The comic look, and music really set the tone perfect for this movie. The shots were amazing, man! The timing must of taken forever...Big props on that area!
I did like the some of plot, but it really wasn't for me. It felt a bit dragged out and to cutesy, cutesy at times. I feel like alot more could be achieved if you made a killer sci-fi or action flick, with this style of film making. You seem to have the approach down solid...I say go for something more killer!
Still, I see alot of people really like it, and the style is really good. But the plot was kind of a downer for me... - 4 stars

I like very much your movie. I think he has a lot of style. The real inventive editing is very interisting. It's comics and I like it. There is a gripping atmosphere with the overlays, this muisc which isn't too loud and this several words to guide us.
The story is simple but nice and very effective. There are interisiting characters.
It's a real very good job. I enjoy it a lot! Movie bookmarked.
All the best!

Why didn't I see this before? No Greater Fury is a triumph of cinematic style that is not only visually inspiring, but creates new avenues of how to use overlays as an instrument to create atmosphere. Here, the comic book aesthetic comes to life, and looks vibrant and alive as these moving pictures cheat and decieve one another. The way you used this technique enlivened the visual storytelling technique, forcing us to piece together the fragmentations and create a narrative from the distance of panels.
Truly breathtaking! I love it!

interesting style, make an action one like that, but black and white, and there you have, Sin City, you should do that!. But really, a good movie, though, the ending was slighly confusing. you should have won though. Oh, and if you wnat, go check out my movie At The Cabin at http://movies.lionhead.com/movie/121150, if you want, good job though

The comicbook feel was awsome, and the music fit really nice. Great job!
I found your film on Dr_House's Advent Calendar

a nice twist at the end!!
The best part had to be the overlays though!!

Scene Selection (1/2 Given)
Scene duplication is not possible without some moding to this film. Cannot duplicate what was done in this film without using some outside software. Still a good pick of the movie game acting in this film.
Entertainment (1/2 Given)
I was not highly entertained with this film but was able to sit through it all without feeling the need to click the stop button.
Story (1/2 Given)
Very basic but still creative.
Voice acting or Subtitles (1/2 Given)
No voice acting and subtitles were done in an edited format and not in the way of using the normal movies editing engine.
Editing (Star Given)
Editing was done well even though a great deal of this film was based on overlays. Scenes fit together nicely and were smooth in fitting together to build the picture the director was looking for.
For your viewing pleasure I highly suggest a very potent caffeine pill, a q-tip for cleaning your ears, nail clippers, a hair brush and some stick lets gum.

Quite a delightful short film. It contained a new and refreshing style about it that I had never seen before but enjoyed. The use of subtitles were good, but some of them were a bit unnecessary such as: "Oh, oh...". I'm pretty sure the audience can figure out that bad things are going down when Steve gets caught with the other woman. It lacked in story I felt it was meager and shallow at sometimes and the twist at the end really didn't catch me that well. Overall, a nice little film that brings a new twist to clever camera work but doesn't support it's own weight story wise.

Done with a very unique style, this movie is hard to tear your eyes away from. Very easy to read subtitles, which could have easily been a huge distraction if done incorrectly. I really enjoyed this music - I remember watching your first upload, but it's striking me more powerfully this time around, and I have to think it must be the music that's doing that.

Critics Center Review
First off I aplogise deeply for me not checking out your movies recentlly, I will aim to check out Infiltration very soon as well, that looks brilliant. But before then I thought I'd check out your latest movie. I'd like to apologise for the briefness of this review as well, I'm a bit pressed for time. Now this movie looked absolutely gorfgeous! Those comic book panels and the music that went alongisde side it just made the movie look absolutely amazing. The overlays that were used here were definately up to one of the highest standards I have seen and I am so impressed by the quality of this movie. Now the actual plot and little storyline running through it was not perfect, but when a movie looks this good I can't really give it any lower than a five star rating. Not as good as your last movie, but definately better looking.

Amazing! Fantastic! Superb! Phenominal!
The best movie on TMO I have seen by far . . . Flows nicely, basic and simple story, but that's what makes it so appealing.
Love the comic book style, would like to know how you did it though, :-)
Keep up the good work and look forward to seeing more.
A sure winner!!!

Wow that was great.I liked the whole comic book style type thing.
Posted on October 19, 2006
That was brilliant.
This has to be the single most original movie I saw on TMO in a long time.
And you managed to tell your story with virtually no dialogue, just some narrating lines.
Posted on October 19, 2006
Still a great film, Throwaxe. The new music isn't as appropriate as the original (as you know better than all of us!), but still, this film is very, very impressive!
Well done, and good luck!
