Horror of the Werewolf is a fantastic film! Professional on all levels and chilling in its telling of a classic horror tale. What makes it stand out from the glut of horror films around these days is the wonderful writing and superb acting by the fine cast. Not to mention the time taken to create some really beautiful stars in Starmaker. These are faces meant for the movies and that is so important in films. To not just use the game generated actors is a plus here. They are superb creations and that is what the movies are all about, beautiful people who can capture your heart and imagination and with this aspect to these stars they take us deeper into their story.

The film is character driven and takes it??s time to let us know the kids and really grow to care about them and what happens to them as the story unfolds. This is smart filmmaking at its very best.

Great sets, cinematography and a wonderful evocative score also add luster to this the best film on all counts this Halloween season!

Horror of the Werewolf is sure to garner acclaim and many top awards during its run on TMO. And should be studied buy newcomers on just what can be done within the limits of the game.

The film and its director, Nukester, one of the best directors around, have earned my deepest respect and the MGM Platinum Seal of approval!

An Absolute Thrilling and Shrilling Delight!

The best werewolf movie on TMO. The Casting was selected wisely with a variety of different voice overs and their acting was all wonderful. Azuresama was especially heartbreaking as the girlfriend who lost so much and the audience roots for her but we all know that long distance relationships are hard and werewolf relationships are much harder. The scenes were all done well with some of the best editing and camera movements I've seen. You've created a delightful horror movie, with romance, comedy, and on the edge of your seat, piss in your pants scary. The audio is so so so...just a treat to listen to. Especially in the school when the audio doesn't fall short. You create an environment, an ambience and an atmosphere which seems so true it doesn't seem like you used the game at all. This is phenomenal work which shows great effort. You can probably execute any genre and you should probably try to execute every genre.

It might be one of those, Teen Movies with the werewolf, but who's to say that this isn't a well made movie? This will be a treat for everyone this Halloween and it's something no one should miss. Absolutely delightful!!!!

Hands down, one of the most skillfully made, insanely inventive films I've ever seen on TMO. Blitzing past the sound and fury of most horror films, Horror of the Werewolf shares with us both guts and glory, heart and bone, interweaving a convincing romance subplot with bone-crushing horror. The way the story is presented -- the camera angles, the special effects, the editing -- makes for one helluva scary ride. The ending actually made me jump out of my chair!

This is an exceptional film, beautifully shot and clever in all respects. Excellent work!

This is Classic Horror at it's Best on TMO! It's very rare to see a werewolf movie on here, let alone a very good one. Nice job on setting tone, suspense without overusing gore like others would and actually telling a compelling story!

Thumbs up!!!

I liked this!

Like all werewolf films, the monster starts as a the hero. You've done really well showing the whole story, consistently, from his point of view. The 'change' was very well handled.

Some cinematic touches I liked were the good use of first-person perspective and the creativity around sets - including giving the Suburban Living Room a front wall!

As usual with your output, the voice acting was top quality.

Fantastic film!!!

The camera work was the best I've seen so far. It really helped add to the atmosphere. The effects were great and the transformation scene was something to be proud of. Nice job!

The story was well thought out. I especially liked the ending scenes - both before and after the credits. I love a smack you in the face ending. Azuresama did a great job, as did everyone. Good writing all around.

Great job with the music too. It added to the creepiness. The part with the guitar was cool and well suited for the scene.

I don't know what else to say; I'm not very good at making an insightful review.

How about this: I watched this with the lights off and headphones on and I was very entertained. I guess that's what it's all about.

Firstly, I'd like to thank you Nuke for reminding TMO about "Horror" because somehow I managed to miss this film the first time round. (sorry mate)
Then I'd like to say how much I enjoyed it, it's inventiveness, it's pacing, character development and all the other good things that make a Nukester movie... a Nukester movie.
In a way I'm lucky because I still get surprised by these great films that I was not around to see when they premiered. How refreshing!
And I had fun guessing whom was voicing whom as I listened...I managed to guess who the leads were anyhow.(Doc and PMC)

I look forward to the sequel... and I won't miss it this time!

cheers,

gp

This movie was very well done! I loved it! The story was well thought out and was made perfect. The characters were well developed and the voices went good with them. The music went well along with what was going on in the scenes and so did the dialog. I must say you used the backdrops very professional like. They went well with every set you used in the movie. This is truly a awesome horror movie and may be the best horror I've seen yet. Horror of the Werewolf had me on the edge of my seat! From what I have just seen it looks like a sequel should have been made a couple of months after its release, but to know that you are releasing a sequel soon makes me happy. Great job and well done nukester.

This movie was awesome! The VO's were excellent. And the overlays were amazing. They really added the werewolf effect. The music was perfectly placed on those high-suspense scenes. You did a real good job with the set dressing. I would have liked this movie better if it had had a real ending. Maybe him getting killed or something. But overall this movie was really good!

This is easily one of the best horror movies I've seen on the site! The excellent story had a good balance of scares and drama. The sound effects were timed perfectly, and the editing on the first-person free-cam shots was remarkable. Also, the werewolf transformation was really well-done. Great movie!

This film was...there is no words for it! If fantastic is insulting, then I am greatly sorry!!

Horror of the Werewolf is the best horror film I have seen on the internet. It made my palms sweat when the werewolf was in the woods for the man and for the kids!! And the ending when the gurl turned around and the terrifying werewolf was standing there, (along with the famous howling), scared me to death!!

Horror of the Werewolf has recieved my highest ratings and review!!!

The Best Horror To Hit TMO!

-----------------------

Nukester, I'm so glad that I waited to see this until I recieved the DVD :)
This movie was truly the best horror film I've seen on tmo, with a chilling story and many nice custom scenes built on overlays, especially the transform scene with the teeth were really fascinating.

So what is it that makes this movie so good? Well, everything for starters. The story is very well written, and so is also the very believeable dialogue. The characters are extremly well played. I must say the best VA's were docontheweb and Azuresama (if I spelled that right).

The effects are as always very good, so is the music. Many things are custom in this movie and they work out very very well.

------------------------------------------------

Nukester, you keep on amazing me as an outstanding filmmaker on tmo. Many of your scenes are so good that I think it's amazing what you can achieve with such a restricted game. The trailer for Rage of the Werewolf also was very good. The sequel seems to be even better....
A FUNKY film, no doubt about it!

There is no doubt that you are an absolutely stunning director Nukester. Watching "Horror of the Werewolf" was like watching a REAL horror film in the theater. This movie is really great!

Story: The story is good written. Good introduction and build up. The scenes fit good with the story. Well done. Good thrilling action moments that fit with the story and are in place with it.
Music/Sound:
The music fits very good with the horror and underlines the tense moments. The sound is also done very well. But I did have to laugh for the sound at the introduction was more funny then chilly. Good Vo´s and gives the chars life.
Costumes/Sets: The costumes are picked well and the actors are believable. Good use of props like the bushes and the trees.
Edit/Production:
Good introduction and good use of customs. The whole movie is good edited and cut logicaly to build up tense moments. I like the weather forecast, but couldn`t sort the mainland to a existing place. Good use of the camera and really great effects you put in here. I didn`t get the appearence at the end of the cemetry. I like how you displayed the end!
Overall: This horror production is well done! Good classic horror style.

"One Thousand And One Minutes"

Visual: Nice use of props, overlays and basically everything. A handful of the camera angles felt a bit off, and some of the editing could have been better, but it was overall very good. So much effort has gone into this, and it really shows. A few sudden shifts in the editing mar an otherwise spectacular display. I'd also say that some of the first-person shots didn't feel exactly right, but they were definitely good attempts, and I have to admire what you were trying to do. Transformation scene was done very nicely.
=> 18/20

Audio: Work with custom sound and music was impeccable. Some of the voices weren't quite up to the part with everything else, but they were generally quite good. A few pieces of sound from the game stood out (such as laughs), that sounded very much out of place.
=> 18/20

Script: It was a very interesting script, and had so many elements besides just horror. Dialogue definitely felt authentic. and there were even a few moments that made me laugh. However, a few minor problems. The first thing that seemed wrong at all, is the death of the mother is implied as being caused by panic attacks -- doesn't happen. Some of the lines were overly cliche, and that really detracted from otherwise fantastic dialogue. The "I don't want to be any bother." "Nonsense. You're staying with us and that's final." should have been ripped out, burned and buried.
=> 16/20

Genre: It was pretty much stock horror stuff to begin with, though telling it from the perspective of David, being a werewolf, was really a nice take on the idea. Unfortunately after a while, I never really felt as though there was any doubt about him being the werewolf, and I didn't really feel as though there was any suspense or tension that would have helped make this a better horror movie. Ending (post credits) helped, but not enough.
=> 15/20

Feeling: I love the start, it's so very atmospheric. I mean, I liked this so much, that 80 seconds into the movie, I bookmarked it. It really stood out so much above everything else -- it's amazing what custom sound can add to a movie. It really shows a lot of attention to detail. Even from halfway through the movie, this movie had cemented itself in my mind as something really, really special. Few films have ever stood out on this way, especially on TMO. Unfortunately a few small problems detracted from the vibe I got from this movie.
=> 19/20

Rating: 86/100 (5 Stars)

Length: 19:08
Tally: 101:04

Although relatively new to TMO, I discovered pretty early on that a feature running more than 3 or 4 minutes is likely to lose viewer interest. I know my attention span caves at about the five minute mark.

That is, unless you have a good story to tell and you're adept at putting it to words...whether that be subtitling or voiceover (although, VO is by far superior). The one thing we have unbridled control over is the way we use our language, and this movie does it well (okay, I thought the newsteam's dialogue was a little weak, but that was it).

And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention how fantastic the visuals are. They're awesome.

This was the first 20 minute movie I was sad to see end.

Excellent work!^Thats it! Nukester you are a truely an amazing filmmaker. After mastering the action genre with the brilliant Fire and Forget 3, you pave new and exciting grounds in the genre of horror. The film is both visually and audibly stunning, causing a full attack on your senses. You weild the free cam like a true Hollywood director, making the scenes available seem new and fresh. Some of the shots you pulled off left me breathless. Your use of overlays were also a sight to be witnessed. Also you paved new grounds in the thriller department. You quite adeptly gave the sensation of danger looming over the three teenagers without actually presenting the danger until it was too late.

Something of note was also your use of sound effects. The sound of footsteps approaching and the ambient noises added a special touch to this thrilling tale. I must also compliment my partners in the voice acting department. Not a single weak link in the whole cast. Each person delivers their lines with terrific accuracy and emotion. Overall the amount of work and effort put into this film really shows and pays off in spades! One of the most satisfying horror films on TMO. It proves that horror movies can have a good story and not just be a slasher/gorefest. Another classic film from one of TMOs most talented filmmakers!

An excellent rearrangement of a werewolf tale. The camera angles were well-chosen, along with good use of sound effects and set dressing. Music was used sparingly and well, and it helped to set the tone of those scenes where it was used. The pacing was done well, with major events timed at appropriate places to divide the movie into segments (or Acts). The only issue I had with the pacing is that some of the conversations seemed a little too long, such as all the talking at the start and the scene in the hospital. The plot was done well, even if predictable throughout, though the "leave hospital on the same day as awaking from a 3 week coma" was just plain silly. Some of the script was a little blunt, as in it sounded like it was only there to explain things to the audience rather than sounding like real people talking. The characters were well presented, with enough personality to give them each a unique personality and backstory so that the audience cares about their fate. Overall, I thought this was an excellent movie, with the highlight being the high production values throughout.

Intro: This is a fine piece of movie that no one should miss. It will probably stay in the charts for months to come.

Story/5: Though the ideas of werewolves are common, the story of the friends and families were well executed and fairly unique. All the characters were well developed and the ending is unpredictable and surprising. There was also a great balance of Horror, romance, and drama.

Modding/4: The forest scene was well done but the hospital room as bad. It was just white wall with a few pictures. It needed more texture. As for the forest, it was good and helped set the mood of the pop-ups.

Camara/5: There are a lot of well done first person camera views as well as just regular moves. Probably the best use of free-cam was when a conversation zoomed out into another conversation were a girl, that the main character like, was part of.

Editing/5: During the conversation above the main character thought about the girl. It was probably the best thought VOs I have every heard. In fact all the VOs were really good and rally real. The cutting was an important part of this movie as well because of the transformations. Growing hair, changing eyes, it all worked out real well. As for the Special Effects there was only a few but each one was done supremely.

Conclusion: This is a great horror with many dramatic sequences. All the characters were unique and all the editing was flawless. An overall must see for TMOers

Total: 5 Stars ((V-Pick))

This is simply amazing!

Near perfect. It should definatly be something that everyone should see. The story is incredible the characters are believable. Free cam custom work and editing are a leap above most anything I've seen so far. I'd say it's professional quality.

Favorites: The transformation sequence, and the Ending.

Well, I'm not a big fan of moster films, so I went into watching this not expecting to much. Boy, was I wrong. This film, on tech level, is almost perfect. Your use of shots are some of the best I've seen, so far, here on TMO. The editing was near flawless and the score really, really worked well. Hats off to you on that end...Now for the story. I liked the characters and the overall plot, you managed to keep me interested the whole 20 min...which is rare for me. The only gripe is the pace of the movie...I felt that some scenes started to drag or went on a bit to long. But still, with that said, this movie is an almost perfect old school style monster flick, that any fan of the sub-genre should not miss. Excellent work! - 5 stars

This was going to be 4 stars because great movie. Well the elements were classic and predictible, but you managed to tell the whole thing in a very interesting way, so 4 stars... but the way you managed to "change" the guy in werewolf in the bathroom deserves 3 stars on it's own! So that would be 7 but heh.. lol... so it was very enjoyable until the end (wich was amazing)!
Well deserved 5* !! Keep them coming! Hope you'll make a sequel!

Sorry for the late review!

But I have to admit, this is better than some real-world horrors, obviously not the best, but you get my point. The cutting and editing was the main point of the film, yet not original as I've seen many werewolves before, It was the quality that mattered here and gave it that edge, I really think this should be your first winning movie, really I do, oh and the voices were superb.

Thanks and I give you my Horrorween! award for the best horror in the month leading to Halo'ween, tis The Season for the genre, and you made it count.

From Reviewing Squad hosts Jeremiah and Dr. Googlestien
With WCP, Toronto Sun Members, & Critic's Center Members
A Critic's Center Detailed Review

Feature Comment:
May we say this is the best use of The Movies game we've ever seen. This is why we make movies on this game to make masterpieces like this. From the moment we seen it we knew it was going to be a complete classic. We loved Fire & Forget series and now were starting to love this even more. What a movie this is. This also has to be the best released horror movie on TMO since FEAR, which is still rocking the charts very high. We remember the great American Werewolf in London movie back in 1980 and this might actually be better than that one.

Genre Feeling:
99%
This fit in it's genre very well. This is one horror you've to see. We know alot of people hate gore and this movie doesn't need it to spice things up. One things fans of horror love to see is a great scare fest and this includes it. There was also a romantic soap going in this movie giving the characters more personalities. It was really a character driven movie and we think that's why it worked so well.

Voice Overs:
97%
Without a doubt this is truly the best use of voice overs we've heard in any movie. A great diverse cast of people and the acting was extradinorory. For a movie with character driven stories this was really needed and it absolutely delivered in the best way possible. The voice acting really comes alive very well in this movie. Making it one of the best in movie history.

Music/Sound:
97%
If there's an area where this movie truly delivers in all the right areas it's this one. Horror of the Werewolf has some great tunes. The one key thing we really loved about this movie was the parts where they had The Thing sounds for the scarefest parts of the movie. This movie will definintely make some people jump out of there seats with some great sounds.

Mod Showcase Value:
92%
From the beginning with the title cards all the way to the awesome mod work it looked so professional and entertaining. The art of the movie looked so damn good. Nice use of mods in this movie. This movie was really creatively driven and it had all of the rights moves in it. Down from the wolf being shown and the best part of the movie is the American Werewolf In London scene where he evolves into a wolf.

Bad News:
There wasn't too much that we could find that was bad about this at all. I think it's that perfect that nothing needs to be worked on at all. We'll like to be honest in this department though. It was a really good moving movie with core horror in it, but it suited all audiences and that was genious on your part. We did have a problem with the killing scenes. They should've been done a tad bit better. The number one thing to do is hide the monster, but if you're going to show the killing make it with the best detail. Other than this movie was a perfect horror classic.

The Nukester Studio Report:
98%
Great camera work in this and special effects as well. You've really grown into a legendary movie maker here on TMO and the audience is growing hugely as well. From the early days of Fire & Forget I & II this movie has grown tremendously. We've really grown into being a fan of your studio and seeing each project grow with your new movie making skills. You've really been an inspiritation to the people on TMO to make a truly original movie like this one. Out of the 7 Crusaders of Cinema you topped them by a huge margin.

Story:
95%
This was a great teen horror story and you put some more umph into to make it a true classic film.

There are numerous flaws in this movie, although it never dipped below 4 stars at any stage - and, eventually, there was enough here to warrant top marks.

So, the bad news first(lol):

Many of the dialogue scenes had pregnant pauses and were poorly edited.

"Hello"

..

...
...

...
"How are you"

..
..
...
..
"Fine thankyou"

Sort of thing.

I also thought the newsreading scene was totally unrealistic and clearly attempting to shoehorn key plot points home to the audience. It then went on to a totally unnecessary "weather report" scene which outstayed its welcome as soon as "tommorow" (try "tomorrow"!) was displayed on the screen. This whole scene should have been cut from the film. Certainly, the weather section was clearly an attempt by the filmmakers to show off - it had nothing to do with the story!

Also, some of the acting was very flat in key places; not all the time - but some lines clearly should have been redone (the hospital scene springs to mind). So I blame the director for not being tough enough there and demanding another more emotional take from his actors.

The dialogue wasn't very clever in places. I didn't think it was very nice when Dave (who we're supposed to sympathise with) tells Michelle behind Brett's back "I don't know what you see in that jerk" (or words to that effect). At that moment, I wanted Dave to get bitten!

Finally, (quite literally), it was a good finish to the film after the credits - but in terms of real life movies, everybody would have left the theatre by then and missed a terrific scene. Best not to do that really.

But that's enough negativity - here's what did work (and it far outweighs what I`ve just said):

Superb camerawork throughout. I loved the point-of-view shots where the camera shows you what the werewolf is seeing (or Michelle in the final scene). The special effects were immense too - the transformation scene was fantastic as you see his teeth grow and hair appearing on the face. I also loved the panorama of the sunset and the way that was handled.

Great music too - I gave a doe-eyed "aw .." at the screen during the romance scene because the music was as beautiful as Michelle (such a well made star - I want to download her and put her in my films!) The rest of the music was great too, and used judiciously to maximum effect.

Having had a go at the acting earlier, I have to say that "Dave" (docontheweb) was fantastic throughout. While other characters sometimes lost their way, his voice over was superb and I expect he'll be getting loads of gigs out of this. Always clear and always with a heart in his voice - at times, he single-handedly saved the worst moments in the film (usually dialogue scenes) from 3-star territory.

The horror scenes were handled great - but there was true terror on my face when Dave made it back to the car and goes "where's the keys??" I was so scared he'd just jump in and drive away! Because I was yelling at the screen "Brett's got the keys!! It's his car!!!" Fortunately, that didn't happen (if it had, this film would never be given 5-stars by me). Again, a combination of music and beautiful camerawork and editing made the horror scenes fun to watch.

So, in summary, it has its flaws but this film ...

this film ..

grrr .. this ..

grrrr grrrr

That was effing AMAZING!!! Ok, so, where do I begin? This movie featured the best VOs and music I have every heard. Excellent editing. Awesome camera work; especially on the final scene. My brain is overloading just thinking about the amount of time and effort that was put into this one. You really got some serious talents!

Although there were a couple of WTF moments; such as the beat up in alleyway (My best guess was that he turned in a werewolf and killed the thugs, then later woke up in his apt) or the uncle's comments after the News cast (since the uncle never appeared again afterwards, it didn't seem that he did anything).

Of course, these aren't really downsides, maybe I'm just paying too much attention, but how can you not? Such a great piece. I loved the ending too.

Fantastic! This horror movie was top notch. The story was very basic, but somehow you kept it interesting. Some of your effects were amazing, like the lightning, blood, and when he changes at the end. I think the plot was just a little too focused on the love story which prevented it from being a true horror movie. The way you move you camera is excellent and really gives the audience feelings of anticipation and suspense. The only thing you need to tighten up a little is the editing because the camera tended to linger on the people a few seconds after they stopped talking. Oh yeah and your last scene...probably the coolest thing I have seen in any movie on this site!

Ok, this reviews a little late, and I havent watched it in a few days, so I might miss a couple of small points.
(not in snuffin puffin style...but you can still win the award)

Well before watching this movie I really wasnt expecting too much. You hyped it all up, and everyone (including me) was all excited about it. But still, I didnt think a werewolf movie could be THAT good. But luckily, I was pleasantly suprised! Even though this movie was 19mins long, I wanted it to keep going on. The movie was never at a slow point, and I never wanted to turn it off and goto bed. Which is something to be proud of on the count I've done it to movies only 5mins long. Nothing was dragged out, but some parts seemed a bit rushed.

I really like how you pretty much squished all the genres into one. (except sci-fi...unless the werewolf was from Mars...then you really got every genre) This wasnt strictly about scaring the whizz out of people, it focused on a bunch more stuff. Romance, drama, horror, and even some comedy at some points. Which I've never really seen a TMO movie do before. It's all about scaring people or making gross special effects with people getting their face ripped off and eating them for lunch. (which i got no problem with...hint hint)
Which brings me to my next point, when this movie wants to be scary...IT IS SCARY. I jumped once in the movie. But I'll get to that later....

The editing was also great. From the cutting of the scenes and the camera angles, to the mods and custom werewolf stuff. Which I gotta say was amazingly done. I loved the werewolf point of view, as it was watching people, waiting to go and eat em up of dinner.
*SPOILER* And the very end...oh wow. I always click stop when the credits start, but for some wierd reason I watched it through and saw the movie start up again. And seriously...I had to get a new pair or pants after that scene. Wonderfully made and scary as hell!....
wow.
*END OF SPOILER*

The VO's were done by great actors, who obviously make this movie 15,000 times better. They all used emotion and none of it sounded scripted. Felt like I was watching a documentary...a very twisted one about werewolves eating people...
The music was also very well done....from what I remember through my heart pounding.

Sp all in all this was a spectacular movie that I really was suprised that it turned out so well! Amazingly scary and sometimes very dramatic. The only real problem I had was the ending seemed too abrubt. I would really enjoy a sequel/next installment. Because it seemed to leave an open ending and would make for a great sequel.
Like I said, awesome movie, cant wait for more nukester!

and also...
CONGRADS YOUR A SNUFFIN PUFFIN NOMINEE!!
You better be pretty proud of this one, because this is only the 2 nd. Snuffin Puffin Award handed out in 4 months.

Strangely for a 20 minute long movie, i found myself wishing it was longer, it seemed all to abrupt and fast paced in places, which is a shame becuase the plot was beautifully worked, the character development was fantastic and i found i really got involved with David and felt for him.

I did have a few real issues with parts of this movie, like i said some of it just went to quickly, the romance betwen David and Michelle went from being just friends to being lovers in the space of 30 seconds of film time, whilst you build up the fact David loves her for the majority of the movie, it is clear that they must have felt something for each other in the first place, but it felt like I was missing a part of this wonderfully deep characterisation when it went from "do you want to grab dinner" to a "milk shake scene" "arm in arm scene" "kissing scene" ... I mean, I understand why you did it like that, but I felt there should have been a little scene where you hear them talking and where Michelle realises that she feels for him as much as he feels for her ... just so we knew HOW it all happened ...

the ending felt really rushed, and it never really felt like the movie ended, i feel there should be another part to this movie, i understand the idea of suspense, but it doesn't say anywhere this is part of a series of movies, although the description does hint at it being one ...

A few minor issues i had were the use of some of the language, some things said were just totally outrageous and so abrupt, or the reply didn't seem to fit with what had been said, I think it was more down to the VO actors, and it is by no means a deficiency in their abilities, but i do feel that an extra stage was needed in the development of this, when actors are face to face with each other they are able to hear and see how the other person is acting and they can adapt so that the scene feels properly gelled together, where as when you record a whole movie without someone else to go from it can mean that some of the lines are said in a different way emotionally to the way the reply/question lines are said... If that makes any sense i'll be impressed, but it just seems that you could have made a "pre-release" cut and sent it to your voice actors so they could watch it, and then they could see for themselves where they feel they could improve their work, so that the movie flows.

I am speaking mostly about the parts where a person reveals that someone has died, at the begining Uncle Sam says it and it just didn't feel like it was said the way you would say it ... It was the same when Bret died ... Although you did get it perfect for when Michelles mums death was introduced.

The editing however was really well done, the use of free camera was exceptional and there was definatley an eerie feel about the movie, it didn't scare me as much as i expected, but i still now have this lasting eerie feeling which is a tribute to a well made horror movie, you don't just rely on the "boo" concept of horror movies to make it scary.

The only other minor point was that i noticed an eco with Davids VOs at the very start of the movie, i am not sure if it went all the way through or not, i didn't want to focus on that as it was a very minor point.

Idea: 8
Script: 9
Sound: 9
Editing: 9
Fear factor: 6 - Where's my pillow

Overall: 41 = 4*

This movie was fantastically thought out, the subplots and character development give the movie an added depth, whilst the cliff hanger moments spark the imagination of the viewer. All in all, this is a must see horror movie, just make sure you have a pillow to hug close at hand.

This movie plays great homage to a number of werewolf films out there. It is a very well put together movie with a strong VO cast. The effects used were of a very high quality and was a joy to watch.

Extra mention must also be given to the sound effects and custom scenes used.

Great work, great job!

Take care

A very good version of the classic werewolf story.

The Storyline and overall presentation, while a bit on the cliche side, was done in a very professional and well done manner that shows through in every shot and scene. The characters were well defined and portrayed with some excellent VO work from all involved. The movie was further highlighted by a good music score and some engrossing sound effects that added to the intended atmosphere and tone. The editing and directing was top notch, with a splendid use of the free-cam's abilities. Great work Nukester.

Quite an enterprise, so many details combined with a great narrative and a few shock effects.
This is an outstanding movie.
The one shot I'm jealous of it when he talks to the principal and thinks about the girl.
Fantastic movement.
Also the first person camera view around the car was very well implemented.
Impressive set dressing, backgrounds, overlays and choice of music.
Equally great voices with only some minor technicalities.
A lot of work and love went into the making of this, with an entertaining
and very well crafted movie as a result.
Outstanding :)

Thanks for your kind reviews of my films, although they don't hold a candle to this amazing horror! Now, here is my debut to my new unoriginal review system for horror films:

PLOT-(8/10) Very formulatic, but isn't a big deal in a film like this.
EFFECTS-(10/10) FANTASTIC! Some quite original effects as well.
VOs and DIALOGUE-(7/10) Probably the most lacking part of the film. Some of the VOs were great, but I didn't buy Azuresama trying to pull an American accent. Also, the dialogue was fairly simple and not too interesting. But again, not what this film was meant for.
FRIGHT FACTOR-(10/10) Wow! Some of these scenes were genulinely terrifying! Many startles, many chills, many moments of pure horror genius!
POST PRODUCTION (EDITING, MUSIC, ETC)-(10/10) What could I really say bad about this?

TOTAL--(45/50), or 4.5 stars!
OVERALL RATING-- A

Meticulous attention to detail and mind-bending special effects set the bar for other horror flicks. Truly a work of art! I left scrathing my head asking," How did he do that?" Screenplay was flawless.

Great use of overlays and freecam, but lenght is an issue although you did manage to keep a steady flow.

It's not that there are any scenes that feel unnecessary, dialogue could have been more polished at times.

Great use of camera, scenes, special effects, etc. Dialog and plotting could be a lot better...they say "David" like 23 times, David. A little too much tell and not enough show for early character development. Got better as the movie went along though. The audio is about the best on TMO.

Can we have more than 5 stars? This was tremendous! Reminded me of those great 80's teen horror flicks such as "Lost Boys" and "Fright Night" and "American Werewolf in London". Incredible modding, sets, backdrops and music. Very 80's using Morricone (sp). I am now a fan!

Nice. Very nice indeed. I enjoyed the transformation scene in particular, but that very last scene ... that was PERFECTION. An EXCELLENT ending. Made me jump! And that freecam work was terrific, as well.

Hey, I just wanted to say that it??s really enjoyable. Yeah I saw it when it 1st came out but was sure what to rate it, so I thought and thought and thought. I finally came to the conclusion and to said to heck with it! I enjoyed the music and the set dressing and (set)work quite a bit. I also thought that the special effects were extremely cool. The only thing that sort of bugged me was the name of the film "HORROR OF THE WEREWOLF" we really didn't see any werewolf??s getting that much screen time. But what we did see was Awesome! Now for a few quick questions, what happened to the werewolf (guy?) who attacked Brett and David? What??s up with the doctor is he also a werewolf or is it just a part of David??s nightmare? Why does Michelle think that a bag of garbage sitting in the middle of her trashed house is strange? Whose blood was that? I thought Ross was working the night shift, you can??t tell me it wall ALL David??s, can you? For some reason I can??t put my finger on, this one I thought wasn??t quite as good as some of your others. But nevertheless it was Overall: Outstanding, An Awesome Job!! You get a Bookmark!

Well..it was very long and without subtitles, but I did it, I'm very happy!

Great storyline, it's full of suspance and not ridiculous. The dialogues are very beautiful, like a real Hollywood movie! The use of freecam is fantastic, I liked a lot your views. Music and sounds are perfect, well chosen and well mande, with great customization. The end is super! Every personage has his own character, and it's well made too! The special effects are wonderful, I was really scared when he was inside the car and the wolf appeared in the window!!

So, great movie. I'm sure you spent a lot of time to do it, and the result is absolutely fantastic.

Woo. That was a cool ride. Long as hell, but cool as hell. Camera postions were totally bam bam, look at that all sexyfied. And suspense was all boom boom, what the [eye-hurting-word!] am I talking about?

It was all amazing, the build up to the wolf was perfect and when we get the first glimpse: bam. Sounds, especially ambience was the key in this!

Enough with showering you in praise and saying how perfect this is. :D First thing! Blood overlay was bad for business: too bright, too sharp, too out of proportion. Maybe if it cut to a shot right below the guy getting chomped, and have the blood shower down and then cover the camera in a almost black blood. That would have been sexy. Or no blood at all, the scene was shocking itself. Next thing! This seemed like the first act of the movie. Ah, it didn't cover enough. Right when we get into him being werewolfied it goes out. That really pissed me off since I was prepared for more and no more came. :D

Again, perfect. Or at least close to perfect as not being excatly perfect, as imperfect all movies can be to becoming perfect. :)

Well, I have to say without a doubt this is by far the best horror movie to come on TMO. Yeah there is Fear, and Capre Deim, but this tops them all. With the amazing viusal effects, the great voice overs, and the great audio, it's a must see for everyone who is on TMO. One of the best movies I have seen on TMO to date. Man that ending just was horrible! I better see a sequel, because that ending just left me with my jaw open. I hope to see a sequel. Great job!

****MoMc Review****
Outstanding. This film features one of the best characterizations I've seen yet on TMO--done through credible dialogue and realistic interplays. Before I proceed with the review I do have to state that I am basing the review score solely on what is presented in this film and will not speculate on what the sequel may deal with.

Regarding the technical aspects of this work, it was essentially flawless. The editing and scene selection was not only seamless and logical, but very aesthetically executed--literally poetry in motion. The initial forest pursuit of Mr. Lanthrope, the bird's eye crane pan of the school corridor, the spinning camera revolving around the kissing couple; they are all examples of a master filmmaker at work. The only scene I feel I should comment on is the shot of Brett pushing David out of the way in the school corridor bulletin board; the shot was such a close-up that I had I not been familiar with that 'the Movies' scene, I would not have known what transpired (even with the sound of the grunt). It may have been better to show the push from a little further back and then cut back to the close up. Although the voice performances were brilliantly performed, some of the voices were much lower in volume than others, and by turning up the volume I was often deafened by the much louder sound effects. Normalizing the overall soundtrack would have enhanced the aural enjoyment. The sound effects themselves were well done and beautifully integrated into the movie. The music selection was also perfect (I love Ennio Morricone's works--especially with DePalma's "Untouchables" soundtrack).

The storyline was quite straightforward and somewhat cliche (with the college kids venturing into a reported hazardous terrain), and I have to note that the film's title itself was campy and I half-expected a comedic parody of horror films. However, as the film progressed I realized I was in for a genuine horror treat. As I mentioned in the opening paragraph, the characters were remarkably well fleshed out and realistically portrayed. Yet I was hoping for more interactions based upon the inter-relationships of these characters. Perhaps a conflict between Brett and David over Michelle since their rivalry for her had been somewhat hinted at (but I did notice you "resurrected" Brett over his grave site for possible latter plot development). The story was also rather simplistic and I hoped for something to distinguish it from the other slew of horror films both on TMO and off (though I suspect that may be case in the hopefully pending sequel).

Overall this was a grand horror film featuring brilliant characterizations and expert technical know-how. The simple plot and unrealized character potentials prevented this from receiving a perfect score, but it is a 5 star marvel nonetheless. Great job.

MoMc Score 4.5 (rounded up to 5 stars).

Thank god for you nukester. This movie simply blew me away; from the incredible Voice Acting to the simply fantastic editing, this took TMO films to a completely new level. You obviously have a gift for making movies, and the creativity exhibited here was nothing short of special. The camera angles were more than impressive, they were mind-boggling - this is perhaps the first movie on TMO to make such good use of the FreeCam that without it it would seem a a much lesser project. Shots like the ones from the view of the werewolf are no easy feat to pull off, yet you did it with ease. I found myself immersed like I had never been before, little touches like the camera only showing the top half of the persons body when they were speaking were very movie-esque and only added to the effect. Your voice-cast was nothing short of spectacular; the acting here was both moving and believeable, and it was only helped by the fantastic characterisation, which in turn only came about because of some neat dialogue. The music and sound effects to accompany this were also perfect; the way it rose and fell with our emotions was nothing short of brilliance in choice. The only bad thign I can say about this movie is that it was a tad predictable, but this was impossible to avoid with the cliched setting and limited scenes, so, overall, this movie was defintely groundbreaking, revelatory stuff.

98%
The highest mark I have ever given to a TMO movie and well-deserved. Production values were reamrkably high, and subtle detials like set-dressing was never ignored. It was a movie that had obviously had time and thought lavished on it, as every scene had a certian mood, every person a certain depth, and every twist perfectly planned. Tellingly, this movie was a true engager and gripper of a horror-fest because, at around 10 minutes in I was watching intently when my Mum came in and spoke to me. I think I jumped out of my skin.

MoMc Review

Ok, it is rare that i give a movie 5 these days, so i watched this movie twice to try and find reasons that this movie doesnt deserve the full amount. But i must say that i couldnt find enough faults for the movie to be less than perfect. It was just brilliantly done. Not once through the 19 minutes was i bored, and that was very much to my surprise. Very pleasant surprise. Werewolf movies have been done time after time on TMO, but a very select few stand head and shoulders above the rest. This movie is included in this group.
The voice overs had a great variety and really made the movie. The editing was superb and the custom credits were awesome.
Overall a brilliant movie with hardly any faults. The faults i saw arent even worth mentioning, because there is so much more good than bad.
Very very well done!

Score. 5.0

I wrote a review to this movie earlier, but as you know it didn't work. I'll make a new try now, and hopefully it will work better this time. However, I will keep it a bit shorter this time :)

And what can I say? This is an excellent movie! The effort itself is worth 5 stars in my point of view, as the watcher really can feel how much effort you've pu in this one. Great!
The sound in this movie is great. You use them very wisely, and that is very important, escpecially in a horror movie. The Vo's was well executed as well, and it felt very real.

The special effects was very "cool". You show some great editing skills!
Also, I really like the way you've mixed different genres, and still got it worked as a movie. That is not that easy, but in my eyes you've succeeded in that.

However, it may have been on the longer side, even though it didn't feel as long as it was, but maybe some scenes could have been a little shorter. Also, as someone said, the "hospital" scene with white backdrops felt a little... I don't know, empty?

But, these are just small things, and nothing to complain about, really. A well deserved 5 star, rock on!

Posted on October 16, 2006
- SHERWINLIU

The effort and the attention to detail that went into this bona fide classic horror makes this a very admirable piece of work. However, too many clues and a relatively straight storyline seemed to me to take out the fun of the crux of the plot. I never got into the story, despite all the great inventiveness in camera shots and visual and sound effects, probably because it seemed obvious to me what was happening.

Nevertheless I cannot help but praise the craftsmanship and the storytelling abilities on display. To that, I add my confident five stars rating!

LOST&FOUND REVIEW

A horror classic on TMO!

Everything about the film was outstanding. The character development was built very well and the characters themselves were awesome. The VO cast was great and brought life to the characters. Me being a horror fan, I loved how you built the whole film up. I loved how you didnt just show the monster within the first few minutes and spoil the thrill of seeing it jump out at the oppertune time. The sound effects in the movie were spectacular and the sound quality was great. The music was that of which a horror film should sound like, scary. The music brought alot of the scenes to life whether it was scary, sad, romantic, it didnt matter, you really did an awesome job on the music. I loved how your film wasnt based around one preticular emotion, you added scenes of romance, sadness, comedy, in a horror film and that to me was wonderful. The freecam was some of the best I've seen. You directed the film in an amazing way to show the thrilling horror scenes.

In conclusion, I say that this is the best werewolf movie on TMO. You really did an outstanding job on this film. I recomend this film to anyone who is a horror fan. I am giving this a very well deserved 5/5 stars. Great work!

MOMC-Review:

Congratulations! I think I never rated a MOMC movie as high as this one. "Horror of the Werewolf" is a brilliant, almost perfect horror movie and one of the best movies I`ve ever seen on TMO. You might not be into Werewolf movies and dislike the movie for that reason. But chances are higher that you`ll become a werewolf movie fan after watching this film.
I enjoyed every minute of this story and have rarely seen plot, voiceovers and editing go together in such an awesome way. To me it`s definitly one of those movies that make it difficult to find flaws at all.

POSITIVE:
-- The movie starts with an awesome opening sequence that draws you right into the action. The great timing and cinematic presentation shown in this scene the continues throughout the whole movie.
-- Camera work in this movie is awesome. I love how the running wolf is shown from above in the opening sequence. And there are many more examples - especially some outstanding first person view effects.
-- Characters just come to life in a way that actually makes you care about them. The voiceovers are among the best I`ve ever heard on TMO and they amazingly fit the characters. Backround and reltionships between teh characters are devoloped perfectly.
-- The story just seems to unfold naturally.
-- Brilliant custom effects that don`t disturb the flow of the movie.

NEGATIVE:
-- The only thing that could`ve been better was the hospital scene. In the dialogue the girl was always filmed from the same camera angle standing in front of a white wall.
Other than that I didn`t notice any flaws.

So, I´m rating this 4.9 for MOMC. And I can only suggest that everyone should keep watching until the final credits are over.

Hey nukester, sorry ive been aweay due to school. I was checking my email when i saw your PM. Anyways i watched the film and i enjoyed it very much, definitly gets my vote. You do a spectacular job on your filming and on your effects. Most pleasing. only comment i have to say is .... ONLY IN THE MOVIES can a guy end up with a girl that fast LOL! anyways great job. Looking forward to more of your work.

This is an amazing film!

It felt like 5 mins, not 19 mins 8 secs.

Some of the best use of Starmaker I have ever seen. The music fitted perfect. The story, the plot, the characters were believable.

The voice acting was awesome.

But the thing that makes this film stand out is the camera work. There are a lot of great directors on TMO, but this is probably the best camera work I have seen yet, and certainly as good as Postmodernchuck, MGMkid, and IcthusADMR.

I personally hate horror movies, so for me to recommend it is saying a lot. In my opinion this is the best horror movie on TMO....ever!

Great movie. Very involved script. Charactors are really fleshed out. You are very talented. VO'S are top notch. Another fine example of movie making using the freecam to spice up the same old scene templates.

I'm trying to review this and not refer to the PM conversation on the main boards. I'm so pleased you've kept the classic elements of the Werewolf and given them a modern setting. I seem to remember a strong David connection in the movie we were discussing?
The movie appears fresh and a nice change to what certain mainstream movies have done to the Werewolf mythology. The true horror here is that the Werewolf is a cyclical victim who will destroy everything they love and then ultimately destroy themselves. In the meantime anyone that survives undergoes the same torment, the true tale is one of tragedy.
As for your movie, the VO's are great, the editing the same, and the musical ambience created is superb. The Mods work and are probablt as close to Rick Baker as possible on TMO. I enjoyed and I'm pleased you've done my favourite horror sub genre justice.

This movie is cutting edge and breathtaking and i thought the werewolfs were good too lots of close ups providing a nice bloodbath but also a cool take on the angry side of werewolfs.

Absolutely fantastic, well done, that was amazing! You kept the horror right the way through, you kept the romance right the way through, you kept the drama right the way through absa-freeking-tastic! Excellent VOs so kudos to the cast and well selected by (I guess) Nukestar. Definately one of, if not the best, no, greatest movies ever to grace TMO, brillant editing, brilliant special effects and a perfect story. Love to see more from you I really would keep up the movie making especially if it is as high quality as this!

What a very good movie.
The story itself is not really original but the way you used the freecamera option is outstanding.
VO is very good as well, I give you five points for that but only because five is the maximum.
Okay then lets rate this movie.

Originality 4/5
Editing 5/5
Music 5/5
Subtitles/VO 5/5
Review 5/5
Total 4,8 = 5 stars and a BOOKMARK!!

That was probably the best movie I have ever seen on TMO in a while. The dialogue was perfectly planned out, it never dragged, the plot was very 80's-esque, and the effects were excellant.
The only complaint is that the ending wasn't very good. No offence, but you sorta ruined a otherwise perfect movie with that. Also, the pause between dialogue was sorta long.
Don't take my negative comments the wrong way, though. That was the best film (Probably) since Blackbird. Perfect job, Nukester!
I definitely will be checking out your next movie. I'd say this is the best horror film on TMO, ever! 9.5/10! (Sorry for only giving this movie 4 stars, but because of the ending, and the pause between lines, that makes the movie "Not Perfect")
I couldn't see how you couldn't like this movie. Usually with 10 minute + films, they tend to drag, or just suck. This did neither. I was constantly in awe for the whole thing. Deserves #1 spot on TMO, in my opinion. Nice work.

Brillant technical aspects, intelligent camera work and a solid story distinguish this movie. I liked the close ups and the atmosphere. The story could be a little bit deeper I think and with more intellectual demand. In a way it's a typical Werewolf movie. But all in all it is entertaining. And this is the reason for the 5 stars.

Dude. I am so glad I bookmarked your Studio... Instead of a one to five rating, I'm going with a 1 to 100.

Each area is worth 20 Points. If I maxed the points (which most were) I don't explain the rating.

Plot - 20
Sets/Set Dressing - 20
Scene Usage/Camera Usage/Editing - 20
Character/Character development - 20
Music/Sound effects - 20

Yes, I have wasted my own time typing all that in for a pefrect score. But I'm really feeling chatty today.

I give this movie 5 stars for a reson, he's why:

1)Custom Content

I feel this movie has certain qualities that just goes to show what exactly can be done with The Movies.
Many people have tried (myself included) at using custom backdrops, props ect. but they never quite helped in achieving the effect that there film requires. For instance, if you were to use a whole bunch of really lavish effects all at the same time, then it looks fake and very un-realistic.
However, Horror Of The Werewolf demonstrated, very succsessfully that using just mods, or overlays ect linked very precisely together can really make the audience believe in what is going on. The film's custom content just seemed vital and believable.

2) Script

The script was extremly thought out and conscienceous. You could see the relationships bursting from the screen and it was very believable. It seemed like the group has known each other for a long time, and that there was a sense of jealousy, love, and friendship.

3) Clarity

HotW looks great. I'm not just mentioning it's well devised free mode camera, i'm talking about how it looks on TMO.
You can see all of the lip-synchronizations, all of the actors faces clearly and I feel that the audience, whoever it may be, really gets a sense of indentity with the characters becuase everyone knows exactly who's who through the clothes that the character might wear, the way they will do there hair.
Pure brilliance.

4) Time and effort.

I have been a user on TMO for 2 months since August 11th 2006. In this time, the first person I talked to was Nukester, and if I was to ask "What movie are you working on", all i'll get is "Horror Of The Werewolf". So, if you were to think about it, this was 3 months ago. Thats how long, at least i know Nukester has spent on this movie, if not longer! Thats commitment.

5) It made me jump

As far as I know, and no disrespect to other horrors, but this just blows the all other horrors out of the water. The reason why: It made me jump. It's really hard to convey horror over the The Movies, simply because it's CGI.
But, this film managed to make me jump. The dog at the beggining, the man in the graveyard, the revelaence of the weowolf; it's all vital.

There you have it, the greatest horror on TMO

Nah just kidding, totally brilliant movie

i thought the camera work was brilliant, but a little strange.

the changing was filmed with ease and quality.
all in all a well deserved 5 stars,

Thats it!

Excellent movie. It didn't feel like it was 19 minutes long as it never dragged at all. I liked your use of Starmaker, you created some very likeable characters. The VO and editing were brilliant as were all the backdrops and overlays. And I agree with the others, it is definetly worthy of a hotpick! Nice work! ?(?¿?)?

Okay, Nukester, I know was a little late to the premiere, but I got back just in time for the reshowing, and have to say that it is ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING FILMS I HAVE SEEN ON TMO.

Excellent use of freecam, editing, scenes, music and story to make the entire thing come to life. The VO Cast was exceptionally amazing, and every single scene was layered with quality excellence that rarely makes it to TMO. Props to everything...I loved the sequence after the credits, and the ending was phonemanal...

Anyways, Nukester, I have to say that all the work put into this film really paid off, and I wasn't dissapointed...can't wait for NINJITSU SUN!!!!! Fantastic Work.

Well that was fan, friggin, tastic!

Awesome storyline!
Fantastic camera work!
Great VO!
Cool Special Effects!
Outstanding sound effects!

Wow this film has earned so many high marks it's amazing! Even the way the actors appeared look good, the female actress had a cute face and perfect voice to go with it. The male actor's voice fit with him perfectly, the characters were likable, it was interesting to watch.

I mean, wow! Really wow! This should definitely be a hotpick, just everything about the movie was done in a superb fashion. It really keeps your attention throughout the whole ride and keeps you wondering what's going to happen next.

My only slightly criticism is the following, and it's very VERY minor.

- The hospital texture is not very good for shooting, too much white makes all the characters hard to see. It was probably a mod you downloaded off the internet, but it was terribly made for movie making. The white was so distracting it was harder to focus on the characters.

- The ending is good and bad, it's good in that if there is going to be a sequel then it's perfect! But it's bad in that if this is the last movie, it really leaves with a disappointing taste in the mouth. There was really no resolution to the movie, so I hoping that it simply means there will be a sequel.

Great job you get the max amount of stars from me!

Editing 4/4 : Good job editing. I saw no mistakes and the camera was used well.
Dialogue 3/3 : Voice overs were clear and crisp. I din't care for my own VO's, but that is normal for me.
Plot/Originality 4/5 : A well told story. Didn't have any thing surprising to make me say wow. Still it was a better story than most werewolf stories out there.
Entertainment 4/5 : Good, the movie went along at a pretty good pace. The length of it was a bit to long for me, not sure what you could have done to improve it. I have yet to see a movie that pushes 20 minutes on TMO that I felt was great in this respect, so I am thinking that it is more just the limitations of the game that cause this.
Music/Sound 3/3 : Great custom music, and the sound and music was well mixed.
Total : 18/20 - 5 stars - Excellent

An absoutly amazing horror flick!! the best horror flick on tmo, no doubt about that!! I throughly enjoyed this movie, it entertained me on a lot of levels, for one you had a very interesting storyline with very cool characters, all their vo's were spot on, secondly you have amazing custom content here which really create the feel of the movie, like the set-dressing of the forest, you create such realism, especially with the other set dressings as well! thirdly, the custom sounds effects and fab soundtrack really had an amazing effect to this movie!! It such a compelling horror movie to watch! so much work has gone into this movie! it is flawless!!! I loved the camera shots you used, they were done so well!! Congrats on holy entertaining me once again!! before in fire and forget 3 you showed us you pull an amazing action flick, the same applies here with you now, with this new, fresh amazing TMO movie!!!!!
Movie percentage=100%= an amazing horror movie!! definatly a must see for everyone, even if you don't like horrors! I loved the ending!!! Really superb work here!! I really enjoyed this horror flick!

Well, what can you really say about a movie so hotpick worthy, so amazingly uncomfortable yet so beautiful and well written?
The voices were brilliant, the dialogue a stroke of genius, and i was actually jumpy in a few scenes, no TMO movie has made me like that before, well worht the release date, it's been a creepy day in itself, and the mods, sounds, music, overlays, shots, acting are all on par with the story and script so elegant and so shocking at the same time.
If this isn't hotpicked i give up on TMO, simple!
A breakthrough from a master.
