Film Description
One day at Elderhills Nursing Home, the elderly residents were treated to a song from MC Bogan??? ???Old People Suck??? was its name, and boy did it cause an uproar!

Come along for the ride in this hilarious comedy from Whitefire Studios, where it becomes apparent that ???old people??? do not suck, and that ???young people??? should be wary when crossing fists with walking sticks!

With all the right age sounding voice overs done by me and various family members, a thrilling yet comedic storyline, and a killer song by ioi8 (newgrounds.com), ???Old People Suck??? is sure to ???suck??? up to your liking! Pun intended???

-----

I would describe this film as a mix between an epic story and a music video??? You see, it has both. While the song ???Old People Suck??? by the NewGrounds user ioi8 takes centre piece, that is not all you get. You get a storyline in which the music video is set in, something you don???t see that often, especially on this site. I wanted to provide an interesting, funny, and loveable movie for everyone, and to ???bond??? those who were obsessed with having storylines with those in love with the music video craze hitting TMO lately.

Another thing I???d like to point out related to its ???uniqueness??? is the amount of set dressing which took place, (inspired by John Okinowa), in fact the entire Elderhills Nursing Home is purely props ???intelligently??? placed on the blue screen. And then there is of course the logo for Whitefire Films, the most tedious part of the film???s making! In case you???re wondering how I achieved the 3-D affect where I could zoom all around it, it was made out of props??? Ambient wall lights to be precise??? Found in Props > Household, to be exact??? And as far as I know, no other movie on TMO has used props for writing??? Be sure to let me know in your review if I???m wrong (and no cheating, it needs to be in a movie made before mine)!

Credits and stuff:
* Directed by me (whitefire_studios)
* Written by me (story and dialogue, not actual song words)
* Voices
- all males voiced by me
- all females voiced by my mum
* Song by ioi8 (that???s his www.newgrounds.com username)
* Other Music
- the very end there is about 4 seconds of ???Anochronist??? by Kevin MacLeod from www.incompetech.com

And one last very important thing to tell you all??? I DO NOT think that old people suck, meaning I am not prejudiced against the elderly, it was simply a funny song which I didn???t write, but wanted to implement in my movie??? And if you actually watch the movie (this will single out the 5 star hoboers) you will find that he gets what he deserves in the end??? Damn I should have put a spoiler warning, sorry???

And finally... It seems that Sound-Sync and Audio problems always arise... Alas, they have screwed up the entire film, placing the audio ahead and behind by a few seconds at different places, which I worked on getting right for hours. Please don't rate me down on this, as it annoys me aswell. Anyway???

Thank you all for watching, and I thouroughly hope you enjoy it!

Whacked cameras, bawdy limericks and the ever present, geriatric threat, are all on display in this tell all music video/documentary. But hey, old people don't suck. If they did, they'd have a function in society! Hahaha, funny schtuff!!

God, that was hilarious!

Notwithstanding the beautifully done, side-splitting voice acting, the film excellent use of custom camera angles and editing patterns. Furthermore, the musical cues more than effectively complimented the overall hilarity factor, among other things.

By far, the ending left me completely in stitches.

Good one Whitefire. I loved your set dressing - it really created a unique space. And the Whitefire logo - just brilliant. While everyone else is out there trying to come up with ways to make the overlays more unique, you've gone and done something 10 times cooler using props and custom camera angles. The story was great, too - really fitted around the song nicely. And the voice overs were well acted. This film is hilarious. Well done.

A movie that doesn't take itself seriously is off to a good start with creative use of props. The echo effects on some of the VO's were good, and once the music started up I was grinning broadly. There was creative camera-work throughout. Overall, I thought this was a very good movie with the highlights being the choice of music, props, and the use of camera-work.

Plot - This is the part of the film that felt shallow.

Sound - The music felt like it dragged on forever, but that was the only part that bugged me. The voice overs were great though.

Technical - Here were you really shined. It hurt me to give you a 3 star, because the camera work was excellent. Plus the props were used nicely.

All in all I think if you honed your craft you will make great things.
