I found this to be an interesting movie. The music worked well, and the editing was good, especially the overlays. I felt that the subtitles were a bit too slow, but it wasn't enough to knock it down a star. Well done.

So ich gebe dir 5 Sterne. Der Grund ist das du dir mühe gegeben hast, mit Backdrops, gute VO und Musi.
Aber die Story war nichts gro�?es.
Ich gebe dir 5 Sterne weil ich ehrlich bin, du hast meinen Film nur 2 Sterne gegeben, obwohl dein Film eigentlich auch nicht so eine gute Story hat.
Find ich etwas seltsam.
Aber wie gesagt beurteile ich den Film nicht so wie du mich bewertet hast, sondern ehrlich.
Denn ich habe kein Knkurrenzdenken und bin neidisch auf den Erfolg anderer.

GENERAL REVIEW: I actually enjoyed this kind of movie. It is a bit on the dirty side, with some sexual jokes and a gay remark but it made me laugh. The characters were rather memorable such as the whiney boy and the masculine prostitute.

base score: 3.5 --> 4.7

CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK: Minor ones but I have noticed the grammar is a bit bad on some of the subtitles, such as capitalization and punctuation. My suggestion is to get an English-speaking user to proofread the subtitles before uploading it. -0.2

The opening credits were also difficult to read. Perhaps using a bigger font might work. -0.1

OPINION / TILT: Personally, I'm not a big fan of dirty humor but the movie, overall, was rather enjoyable and it gave me a few good chuckles. +0.1

Dieser Film ist mal was anderes, und es ist wohl nur eine Frage der Zeit bis sowas wirklich im Fernsehen läuft. Allerdings ist mir dieser Film keine 5 Sterne wert: und zwar weil einige Schnitte flüssig und einige Szennen nicht ganz passend waren, auch weil die Untertitel häufig nicht zum jeweiligem Voiceover erschienen sind.
Desweiteren gefält mir dieser Filmstil an sich nicht, dass hat aber kaum einfluss auf diese Wertung gehabt.

This is a Moviewood-E "Hot Picker" review.

I am left quite speechless by this film. There are those that I believe are not going to understand it, but don't let them stop you from continuing to make these films. This is original, it is well-plotted, though I felt the dialogue was weak in parts. You might want to think about sending your sub-titles to a person whose first language is English to chack spelling and grammar, apart from that I felt they displayed the emotion in this film quite nicely. Your editing was nothing special, though there were a few odd jumps in it which interfered with the flow of your film. All told, however, I was quite impressed with this effort.

Ich werde ziemlich sprachlos durch diesen Film gelassen. Es gibt die, denen ich werde nicht ihn verstehen, aber lasse sie nicht Sie vom Fortfahren stoppen, diese Filme zu bilden glaube. Dieses ist, es wird gut-geplottet ursprünglich, obwohl ich glaubte, da�? der Dialog in den Teilen schwach war. Sie konnten an das Schicken einer Person Ihrer Sub-titles deren erste Sprache Englisch zur chack Rechtschreibung und der Grammatik ist, abgesehen von dem denken wünschen, den ich glaubte, da�? sie das Gefühl in diesem Film ziemlich freundlich anzeigten. Ihr Redigieren war spezielles nichts, obwohl es einige ungerade Sprünge in ihm gab, welches den Flu�? Ihres Filmes behinderte. Alle erklärten, jedoch wurde ich durchaus mit dieser Bemühung beeindruckt.

Very impressive story here I like the spoof on reality tv. I got my chuckles out of it and was impressed with how you take a very sheltered man and show how or what might happen if he was put into this situation. I would say that you need some work on the editing as some of the sences just went a little to long but what the hey it didnt take much from the fun. I really digg these films from outher contries it is good to see how outher countries show comedy. keep up the good work and please let me see more of your work it can only improve with time and work. very good film.

It was good. I'm not sure if I understood all of the concept, but I think it achieved what it wanted to. The world is not a friendly place and the people in it aren't so great either. Still, I found the director's constant push for ratings was a good touch and the people watching the show were okay, but not entirely consistent. The story is what really keeps this movie going and it works very well. I just don't feel that I was as effected as I should have been at the end for Paul. Still, great film.

Interesting concept. I was sort of disturbed by the part with the shemale, but I think that this was an interesting movie. The voiceovers were well done.

Plot/Storyline: hide someone away from the world then immerse them in one fell swoop into it. A kind of hardcore spinoff version of "The Truman Show" asks the same questions initially started in "Lord of the Flies" except this looks at society.

Editing: Good use of scenes which were well edited. Music was used appropriately. Subtitles were used well. Nothing really stood out in this area, but nothing was done poorly either.

Overall: An interesting concept that wasn't realized as well on film. As harsh a look I take at the world, the situations placed in were each taken to the extreme. Violence erupted far too quickly out of mild situations. A good theme but hard to realize in a short span without doing a longer depiction. In the end it was a little too over the top going from the prostitute to the shemale to violence.

The comcept is good, but I think there may have been a bit lost in translation. I loved your uesof free camera, and your editing is done really well. One thing I couldn't quite understand was, even though the guy never left his house, he should know what a woman is. Unless his life was motherless. So I didn't really get why he didn't know what a woman is. Other than that, it was a good story, just a few things lost in translation.

Klasse Film. Ich fand die Voiceovers richtig gut, die Stimme des Pauls hat sehr gepasst denke ich. Der Technische Teil (Schnitte etc) könnte man noch vebessern. Die "Lehre" des Films bzw. die Kritik find ich auch gut, und da du ja auch fast immer solche Filme machst war dieser wieder richtig gut. Gratulation!

Kos Mini Review:
I loved the concept behind this movie, but some aspects of the execution didn't come across so well. It made sense that the male lead is from a sheltered life and hasn't heard of war, oppression, etc, but it's just not feasible that somebody who knows how to say the word 'woman' doesn't know how to recognize one. The lip sync'ing did not work so well. Consider using some set dressing to make the street set more interesting (especially towards the 'back' of the set whic is completely bare). Overall, I thought this was a very good movie, and the unique perspective combined with philosophy was very interesting.

Tragische Ausgeburt einer Welt, der alles egal egal geworden ist und sich eh nur noch nach Brot & Spielen sehnt. Dabei ist es egal, ob so etwas wie Ethik und Menschlichkeit existiert. Sowas kann man im TV nicht spannend präsentieren, daher interessiert es nicht. Da im TV mittlerweile auch wohlhabene Menschen mal ein,zwei Tage so tun als wären sie obdachlos oder behindert, nur mal so, "um zu schauen wie das so ist", und das Publikum sowas ,ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken, goutiert, ist es vielleicht wirklich nur noch eine Frage der Zeit bis wir so etwas zu sehen bekommen. Der Aufschrei wird dann aber vermutlich nur bis zum nächsten Werbeblock inkl. Gewinnspiel gehen.

Rein technisch war an dem Film soweit nichts auszusetzen, nur das die Stimmen zuweilen etwas zu 'dröhnend' rüberkamen. Und als das heulen über die Dialoge rübergelegt wurde, habe ich kurz nicht verstanden, was gesprochen wurde.

A very interesting concept for a movie, and I haven't seen one like this on TMO. The voiceovers were very expressive.

The title backdrop made it very difficult to read those subtitles, and some of the sound was quite off, which was a little distracting.

I think this could have been developed with a little bit more believability - he knew what a man looks like, I'm not sure why he would ask a man if he is a woman.

Interesting music choices, and I enjoyed the bits with the people watching the show.

The Reality Lite:

First thing I noticed was the lame grungy metal guitars. I really hated that, but that's not too important. Now for the review!

Pros: I really enjoyed the saxophone music. Well done sir! The plot is very interesting and it proves a point about humanity. It was a bit akward with the man, but well done nonetheless. Well done scene transitions in the beginning. Nice sets. Costumes are well thought out.

Cons: Grammar and spelling is a bit off .I does not= i. Capitilization also. Grungy metal guitars at the beginning. But... that's about all I can complain. Really, superb movie.

Technically 83.5% but I'll take it up to 90%. 5 stars. job.

For narration, seeing you're German, you should get an English speaking member to help translate what that means.

erschreckender Film, ich bin Junkers82 Meinung, wenn er sagt das es nur eine Frage der Zeit ist wann man sowas im TV sieht, wobei die ersten Schritte mit Sendungen wie "Big Brother" und diesem komischen Kopfgeldjäger auf dem gleichen Sender schon getan ist, fehlt eigentlich nur noch das das Opfer zum Hauptdarsteller wird (wobei ich selbst bei TM einige Szenen doch sehr bedenklich finde und das bei einer USK Freigabe von 12). Alles in allem ein gelungner Film.

Very nice storyline it was a great idea and really shows how bad off the world really is. i would like to see the guy go nuts and kill everyone but that wouldnt hold true to the story vey well. great script and vewry nice atmosphere. the only real glich i saw was when the car ran over the car at the end. it isnt a 5 star movie but it isnt a 4

First of all I find the story concept refreshing, but I'm not giving this 4 or 5 stars, because you should really tweak your movie to perfection: subtitles are too early, voiceovers are a bit off sometimes (the crying of Paul, I find, becomes too funny) and the flow of the scenes (editing) can be better. So in short, tweak it to perfection and you got yourself a great movie!

The idea was freat, especially using the nervous director was something what made this show more realistic. But the situations shown were looking to be very accidential, both from the show's point of view, and from my point of view as a viewer of this movie. You've focused on the bad events only, as if this show was made especially for them. Paul should be more fascinated with the street itself, if he have been only kept in studio before. I like the motto and music, and the custom backdrops, even if they made the titles unreadable. But construction of the second-plan events in this movie could have been better.

Aus dunklen und in sich verschworenen Kreisen wurden mit 100 VCs angeboten, damit ich mir diesen Film anschaue und auch noch bewerte. Natürlich habe ich das Geldangebot ignoriert, zumal ich den Film bereits 2 Mal gesehen und vorab das Drehbuch gelesen hatte: bewerten will ich ihn nun.
Dieser Film hat tatsächlich 5 Sterne verdient - gäbe es zehn Sterne zu verteilen, dann gäbe ich nur acht - bei hundert Sternen, wäre ich zu 76 bereit.
Warum?
In der Kategorie "Filme, die so sind wie die von Psychokatalog" ist dieser Film die unbestrittene Numero Uno: er hat seine technischen Grobschlächtigkeiten und Schnitzer; die VO ist erst beim zweiten Mal vollständig akustisch zu verstehen und beim dritten Mal dann auch inhaltlich; die Geschichte und die Dialoge sind fernab jeglichen Irgendwas, also entweder tief wie der Marianengraben oder seicht wie das Wattenmeer bei Ebbe - das mu�? man von Situation zu Situation neu bewerten; Schweizer können keine Elfmeter schie�?en, au�?er Oliver Neuville.
Insgesamt also ein typischer Psychokatalogfilm, der entweder begeistert oder völlig nervt (das ist abhängig von Tagesform und Dosis) - doch leider mit einem gro�?en Makel: keine Blechblasinstrumente!

Psychokatalog specialises in arthouse...and does it with a unique style and flare.
This is another mini classic in movie making.

The concept of the story is wonderful...all the worst that life has to offer thrust upon a naive and innocent man all at once and in the name of entertainment.

The editing is fast, frenzied and sublime...inspiring use of the freecam here.
The VOs are by a great German cast and flow with the movie nicely.

All in all, another gem of a movie from Psychokatalog who just continues to dazzle and provoke thought.

Which is something that I like about this movie.

Um, I cannot speak French or German so the review will be in Angleterre (English) This film confused me a little. Because at first he was asking if people were women. And then a minute later a Prostitue was trying to seduce him by beating him up. The V.Os sounded great and after a while I understood the film completely. 4 Stars.

Wo die "Truman Show" aufhört fängt dieser Film erst an.
Ganz neu ist auch diese Idee natürlich nicht, aber dafür hier endlich mal in einem schnelldurchlauf in herber Konsequenz gezeigt worden. Erschütternd ist dass man sich inzwischen nichtmehr fragen muss ob so eine Sendung in der Realität möglich ist, sondern wann sie kommt.
Die aktuellen Enthüllungen und Meinungen der normalen Bürger im Land der Stars&Stripes (allerdings findet man sowas auch in anderen Ländern wenn man nur gut sucht) zeigen dass die Hemmschwelle mit der richtigen Ausrede sehr tief angesetzt werden kann. Der Verweis auf Günter Wallraff ist sehr passend gewähtl. BILD wird bis heute unterschätzt. Es reicht nicht zu erkennen dass es ein Lügenblatt ist, man muss auch die Macht dahinter erkennen die trotz allem existiert! Genauso muss man die Warnung des Films ernstnehmen. Noch sind Sachen wie Snuff-Filme nur in Randgruppen vertreten und offiziel verboten. Aber wie lange dauert es bis diese Art von Filmen "Zur Aufklärung und Warnung" oder aus anderen fadenscheinigen Gründen gezeigt werden???

Einziges kleines Manko was mir aufgefallen ist, ist die extreme Verstörtheit Pauls schon zu Begin. Vielleicht sollte das so. Aber ich glaube ein gefasster und normaler Paul zum Anfang, welcher dann immer panischer wird hätte den U-Ton des Films etwas besser unterstrichen.

Insgesamt aber einer der kritischsten Filme seit langem. Würde ich zu "Hijack" und "Geliebter Seelenfrieden" stellen. Weiter so!

Story: this was for sure indeed a weird movie but after watching the hole film i must say i did enjoy it 5/5

VO/Subtitles: The voice overs in this film was top notch stuff i really like how most of the voice overs has feeling behind what they where saying great stuff there for voice over work. Subtitles how ever did seem a little fast for me but im going too let is slip cause i do think that movie is a great film and since you used Both subtitles and voice overs im not going too take off any marks 5/5

Editing: Again here top notch stuff your editing skills are perfect except a few small scenes that really didnt place the feel for this movie like when the guy lands on boxes i thought that scene was point less. Other then that excellent job on your editing keep it up 4/5

WOW Me: no this movie did not wow i didnt see anything in this film that made my mouth drop but the storyline and editing here is what i see great about this movie excellent job cant wait too see more in the near future.

Für mich ist das dein mit Abstand bester Film ! Auch wenn die technischen Aspekte immer noch nicht perfekt sind, sieht man, dass du diesmal mehr Arbeit investiert hast....tolle Bilder mit mehrheitlich tollen VO`s ( überflüssig zu erwähnen, das Sisch einen gro�?artigen job gemacht hat ) und natürlich einer echten Psychokatalog-Story, die sich einfach von allem anderen abhebt.....Super Film !!!!

It has quite a original idea around it, I'm amazed. I thought I was going to see one of those never-ending romances, but in fact enjoyed myself seeing this mini-documentary/soap-show. Even though I loved the use of the free cam and the dramatic music, the subtitles didn't glued quite well at the second part of the film, and you do have a poor voice (sorry for that)... But anyway, good job, continue like that ;)

Da du dir echte Mühe gegeben hast, will ich auch mal echt voten...

Story: 9/10
Schon allein diese Idee konnte eigentlich keinem anderen kommen als dir! Das kann man jetzt sowohl positiv als auch negativ sehen. Ich sehs mal durch die rosarote Brille. Einerseits klingt es ja recht abartig, andererseits auch wieder sehr reel, wenn man die Glotze einmacht, Mut beweist und auf RTL 2 schaltet. Da teilt man ganz schnell solche Zukunftsängste! Auch die Art wie du erzählst ist wiedermal dein eigener typischer Psychostil. Auch den muss man hassen oder lieben. Auch wenn du wei�?t, dass ich ihn bei weitem nicht immer mag, fand ich ihn diesmal recht passend. Allerdings will ich nicht nur sagen, was alles toll war, sondern auch mal n bisschen nörgeln und sagen was besser sein könnte. Die Story ist zwar gut, aber eben recht kurz. Es kommen zwar einige Gegenparts von Paul vor, mit denen er spricht, aber die Handlung an sich ist mir zeitweise schon ein wenig zu einschichtig. Wenn ich mir jetzt halt mal vorstelle, dass ganze wäre ne echte Fernsehserie, dann wäre es wenn man es so sehen will, noch banaler aufgebaut (Nicht der Handlungsinhalt sondern die -länge und -vielschichtigkeit!) als ne Folge GZSZ. Paul geht die Stra�?e entlang und will eigentlich nur rausfinden, was ne Frau ist. Dann begegnet er schlie�?lich der Tunte. Dass wars eigentlich, vereinfacht gesagt. Ich finde dass zwar nicht schlecht, aber eben recht kurz. Man hätte doch ne Tour durch Hafenviertel machen können, bei der er nicht nur erfährt wie die echte Welt so ist, sondern z.b. auch erfahren wie er aufwuchs und wie er sich die Welt vorstellte und wie er nun damit umzugehen lernt! Wird er aggressiv? depressiv? verliebt er sich? will er in seine Fakewelt zurück? Will er fliehen? Ich würde es also einfach noch weiter ausbauen! Sonst ists aber inhaltlich sehr gut, daher 9 von 10 Punkten...

Im Gegensatz zu anderen Votern, finde ich deinen durchaus erkennbaren Akzent nicht weiter schlimm! Sicherlich! Ich kenne persönlich nicht viele Menschen die nen schweizer Einschlag haben! Aber wie viel Schwaben oder Hanseaten kennst du? Das mag jetzt zwar im Bezug auf nen hamburger Jungen vielleicht komisch klingen, ist aber höchstens inhaltlich und nicht sprachlich ein Problem! Nach diesem Motto müsste Fraas ja nur schei�? VOs machen, da er Bremener ist! Und damit muss man entweder alle anklagen oder keinen! Ich klage keinen an. Dann zum Sound: Da haperts schon eher! Nicht dass ich deine Blaskunst nicht zu schätzen wüsste, aber sie passen eben hier recht schlecht rein! In so ein rei�?erisches Format würde vermutlich ein aggressiver Hip-Hop Beat am besten passen! Die gibts z.b. bei r-b-a.de. Zu deiner Verteidigung muss man allerdings auch sagen, dass du ja ursprünglich Seelenbazar nehmen wolltest, was aber kurzfristig nicht ging! Sonst sind die VOs- vor allem von Philmaster und sisch als Nute (sry, aber du passt da echt 1a^^)- erste Sahne!

Editing/Cut: 8/10
Die Freecam passte grö�?tenteils und auch der Schnitt ist soweit echt in Ordnung. Bei diesen Dingen kann man recht wenig echte Tipps geben und daher lass ichs auch. Allerdings sind zwei Sets schon ein wenig mager! Es gibt doch tausende! Nutze sie doch!


Fazit:
Ein durchaus streitbares Werk! Neutral beurteilen kann man hier kaum! Entweder stimmt man den Aussagen zu oder eben nicht! Das muss aber jeder selbst entscheiden! Daher kann man euch allen nur empfehlen: Film on!^^

Wirklich Exzellent!
Die VO´s waren zwar ziemlich mies..haben aber ihren Sinn und Zweck erfüllt!
wie Baalrok schon sagte...ein gesellschaftskritischer und origineller Film...hatte was von "truman show"...

Ein schöner, gesellschaftskritischer und vor allem origineller Film, der den Zuschauer in seinen Bann zieht. Vor allem transportiert der Film seine Kritik gut verpackt in teils bitter böser Satire, so dass man mit einem lachenden und einem weinenden Auge auf die Figur des Pauls blickt.
Nur die technische Seite macht noch Probleme: Die Schnitte wirken nämlich teils unpassend und harmonieren nicht immer mit Voice Over bzw. Untertiteln.
Im Vergleich zu Preview-Version, welche ich sehen durfte, wurde aber einiges nachgebessert.
Zum Voice Over muss ich au�?erdem sagen, dass ich deine Stimme extrem passend für die Rolle des Paul empfand. Die anderen Rollen (meine mitgerechnet) empfand ich zwar als gut, aber nicht au�?ergewöhnlich.
Insgesamt bleibt mir zu sagen, dass dies ein Gro�?es Filmwerk geworden ist. Ich würde es zusammen mit �??I am I and you are�?? zu den besten deiner bisherigen zählen.

Prima Werk. Der Film hatte Pep. Gut gefiel mir der Einstieg mit dem Zitat. Am Ende nochmal das Zitat zu bringen fand ich unnötig. Alles in allem ein runder Film mit einer besonderen Idee.

An interesting concept and shows some really great potential. The VO were a little erratic at times in terms of volume consistance so there is deffinatly some room for improvement in that area, but it takes practice. The plot was very interesting and well written.

Gleich zu beginn muss ich sagen, dass mich dieser Film überzeugt hat! Durch die wunderbare Atmosphäre (die du stets aufzubauen vermagst) zog mich der Film gleich in seinen Bann, somit gebe ich am Ende sicher 0,2 hinzu.
Auch atmeberaubend: Die Musik! Klang fast, wie in der Trumanshow (vielleicht war es auch dieselbe...), was jedenfalls sehr gut passt, da auch dort mit der Vision der Heilen Welt, im Gegensatz zur brutalen Realität, gespielt wird.

Eine grandios gestalteter, sozialkritischer Film, der nicht nur durch die Idee allein, sondern vielmehr noch durch die atemberaubende Atmosphäre besticht! Musik, Stimmen und Bilder scheinen meist in perfektem Einklang zu stehen und ermöglichen es dem Zuseher, sich als Teil des Films zu fühlen, auch wenn der Film prinzipiell einen Teil unserer Welt darstellt...

Ein Film, den man gesehen haben sollte! Die 7 Minuten vergehen wie im Flug, werden aber wohl nicht so schnell vergessen werden!
Ein Muss für jeden Drama Fan!

Story/Plot: 3/5 The story is okay, but it is hard to take sirious. I was having some doubts about the genre, when I saw this. I believe, that the story was meant to be "serious", but because of the main character's constantly crying, it ended up being a bit ridiculus. The main character sounded like a german cry baby. (No offense meant by that) I'm not from Germany myself (I'm from Denmark) though I speak german, but I found the language to be a bit disturbing. My point: It ruins the story a bit.

Originality: 4/5 Honestly I havent seen anything like it before. It is a good idea. A movie about a TV-program. It shows that you have potential. Keep experimenting.

Subtitles: 4/5 Thank god, that you have chose also to have subtitles. I hate it, when people choose to make the dialog entirely in their native toung, but refuse to spent time on adding some god damned subtiles in a more universal language. The only proble about the subtitles, is that they disappear a bit to early some times. But that has always been the problem about the movies, which have been made with "The Movies"

Voiceover: 2/5 Oh my god! The VO is of bad quality, and the main character sounds like a big cry-baby. It doesnt sound good, and it ruins the story.

Music: 4/5 Nice. You have chosen to use music, from outside the game. A good choice, but I don't see, why you couldnt have used, the standard music.

Editing: 4/5. Hmm...I can see that you have made use of the "free-cam mode" BUT! Sometimes it looks very good...and then there are some scenes, where it isnt nearly as succesfull.

Your average is: 3,5, so a honest grade would be...4 Stars.

Ach was solls ich gebe dir mal 5 Sterne. Die Umsetzung hat mich zwar nicht umgehaun aber du hattest es mir erklärt. Wir hatten uns schon Diskutiert wegen deinem Film.
Wenn du aus dieser Geschichte ein Buch schreiben würdest dann wäre es ein Bestseller. Wenn du daraus ein Film machst dann wäre es ein Flop.

Very original and very deep.
Great directing and editing. Music fitted so well I didn't notice it.
The charactors.
Some of the subtitles were a little fast but most were in time.
In the early part of the movie when you cut to what I assume is the shows logo screen a couple of times it seemed to stay on a little too long, but that was soon forgotten.
Overal this is a very well made movie.
The stories a little weird and wont appeal to everyone but anyone can see the work thats gone into this. Great job.

Plot and Characterisation - 30/40 - The plot was very original and thought provoking. It had some real meanings to it and made you think which is always good in a movie. The concept was quite strange and abstract and it worked really well this way. The movie wasn't trying to be naturalistic in any way and the surreal atmosphere you created was extremely effective and can often be quite hard to pull off but you managed it very well in this movie.
Although the concept itself was good I didn't think the development of the plot was all that it could have been. Not too much happened really after you introduced the original concept that wasn't easy to predict. He didn't know anything and he was shocked by what he saw but this in itself wasn't enough. We needed some unpredictable changes of direction in the plot, something different from him just speaking to different people on the street and having very similar responses and reactions from all of them.
The twist at the end where he ends up getting beaten up was a step in the right direction but was still quite predictable and didn't make for a truly shocking climax. We needed more twists as the plot progressed to hold the audiences attention for the duration of this movie.
The characterisation was quite good, again you didn't attempt to make it naturalistic and, again, this worked wonders for the movie. Paul was in no way a real person, he's not the type of person you'd meet on a day to day basis, he is more of a concept than a character and I loved it! This really made the movie quite surreal and allowed for the audience to focuse more on the concept than on the character himself which worked very well.
That said though there was also a downside to this choice. As we didn't really get to know the main character all that well the climax where he gets beaten up didn't really evoke an emotional response from the audience as, Paul was more of an idea than a person in his own right, and it is hard to feel emotion for a non-naturalistic character.
Still, there are positives and negatives of every choice and, overall, I think the positives outweighed the negatives in this film of choosing to make the character of Paul quite non-naturalistic as it made the whole concept of the movie much more thought provoking.

Soundtrack, subtitles, mods and SFX - 11/20 - Some of the subtitles moved a little fast at times meaning that I had to read them very fast which distracted me from what was going on in the movie. Always remember that leaving subtitles on for a little too long is better than leaving them on for a little too short.
The custom titles and use of backdrops was a nice touch but the graphics themselves weren't all that good. The text on the background you chose was quite hard to read. Try putting a shadow, or an outline, or a glow around the text to make it stand out more from the background and make it more readable. Also select the colour and font of the text carefully to make sure it is easy to make out what it says.
Also using the blue screen for text etc. means that your backdrop curves round slightly, which is quite noticeable. A better way of doing custom credits is to use the stage set or overlays as they are both flat, although I realise overlays would be quite hard to do seeing as you were using the TV overlay for all of this movie.
The VO's were generally very good and added depth to the characters. The TV commentator was quite creepy and added to the surreal atmosphere of this movie.
I liked the choice of music, it was never too intrusive and always fitted what was happening in the movie nicely. No problems here!

Dialogue - 8/10 - This is quite hard to judge seeing as it is translated from German but, errors from the translation aside, the dialogue was generally pretty good. Each character spoke in their own unique way, often quite stereotypically of the type of character they were which, in this case, actually worked quite well as it wasn't supposed to be a naturalistic movie. The use of stereotypes worked well to make the movie seem surreal, to make the characters seem weird and to really emphasise the meaning of the movie and you really used the dialogue effectively to this end.

Editing - 14/20 - Generally pretty good although a few of the camera angles didn't flow very nicely. Some were a bit fast moving, some were a little out of place and some just didn't look quite right. That said though quite a lot of the freecam work was very good, just a few shots that stood out a bit as not looking quite right.
Most of the cuts were reasonable although there were a couple that I noticed a bit too much as they didn't flow together too well. Maybe better use of the fade effects could have been employed here, partly to cover up a few of the cuts that there was no way of fitting together smoothly, and also maybe to make it obvious when we are changing from inside the TV, to outside the TV (besides obviously changing the overlay).
Overall very good though, most of the scenes fitted together nicely.

Orion's Bonus Marks - 9/10 - I loved this movie. It was really thought-provoking and faithful to the style of other movies I've seen by you which is always good to see. You've really established your own style of movie-making that works well and you've stuck to it with this movie! Very thought-provoking and great concept behind it. I also loved the use of non-naturalism to make this movie even more though-provoking and abstract than it already was. Nice work!

Ich stehe diesem Film wie du wei�?t zweigeteilt gegenüber. Zum einem mag ich diese ganze Idee sehr, die Menschen schauen nur auf sich und keinen interessiert sich was mit diesem armen jungen eigentlich wird? Vor allem die Rolle der Zuschauer ist eine so eine richtige "Alle, nur ich nicht" Haltung. Denn im Grunde gehört der liebe Zuschauer ja selbst zu den "eventgeilen Mütter". Die Umsetzung ist gut, wenn es auch sicherlich gewohnte Psychokatalog Schwächen hier und da gibt. Die Backdrops sagen mir nicht so zu, allerdings passen sie wohl gut in den Film. Abgedreht im gewissen Sinne, etwas surreal und sozialkritisch (das ist jetzt nur auf den Film bezogen), jup, das ist die LITE Version vom Film.
Und wenn ich von LITE Version rede dann meine ich LITE Version. Jetzt kommt die andere Seite. Eigentlich war die Idee für einen abendfüllenden Film und das ist er nicht. So bleibt viel auf der Strecke wenn man davon davor wusste so wie ich. Wie gesagt, eine wirklich nette LITE Version der ursprünglichen Ideen. Gute Voice Actors, konstante Kamera und viel Originalität machen diesen Film mal wieder zu einem typischen Psychokatalog, sprich zu etwas besonderem.
