A Critic's Center Review

Opening Statement:
WOW great opening and a fantastic fantasy movie. The best one of TMO since Arawna's POWER series. We've always loved this combination between DaVo and WCP and they do it again with an excellent movie. Man this is better than anything Harry Potter has put out there. This was definentely a very good published fantasy movie and a great tale to go with it. We like the old warrior tale sounds of the actors. The script was also pretty good for many installments in this luxurious series. Psychology a Hitman is one of our favorite movies, but this one may have just hit it out of the ballpark.

Genre Feeling:
It fit right into it's genre of action/adventure although it was more on the fantasy side. As kids we all loved our fantasy tales growing up and this one is right on mark with it. Great powerful heroes in this one. The genre was just right for it. Not too many of these on TMO and we will love to see more of them on here. The dressed up sets, setting, and characters really is what sold this movie. It added to the feeling of a fantasy movie. Thank you for DaVo and WCP for bringing this to TMO.

Requirements Department:
DaVo and WCP you guys made alot of changes since Psychology of a Hitman in this area especially with creativity. Custom backdrops, custom titles done with custom backdrops, custom music was outstanding and really flowed well with the movie nice choice of classic music chosen for this also, custom mods may we say nice sets, and outside editing. All those things helped this movie seperate itself from others. Nice addition makes the quality of the movie nicer also. The VOs were top notch and great cast. KRC and Sailorknightwing really stand out in this project as top notch VOs. The special effects in this were great and sound F/X to go with. Great acquisition with this. The storyline overall was great and the dialogue it gives this series a chance to keep going with a great ending. Overall the quality of the movie was great. An A+ for both of you guys.

Bad News Statement:
There were really no real mistakes in this, but we'll like to help you guys out. We really would like to see some of your guys stars be done with starmaker. It seems like almost every actor in some great movies look the same. This series will really grow on S&E with some revolutionary stuff. One thing that can make this series grow is if you guys put some emphasize on the characters like giving them some really good identities and names stand out. Other than that this was a great TMO experience.

Studio's Direction:
Terriffic and fantastic work by you guys on this project. It was really well though out and if you guys continue to do that you will succeed. It's like we said from the get go you guys are really the best collaboration going right now and as long as you guys are together you'll go very far here on TMO. As long as you guys continue to go in this direction where WCP writes and DaVo you film you guys will go very far. Right now you're our favorite collaboration because you guys have stucked together and made some interesting movies together. Great job on your guys part bar none.

At last another good fantasy movie!
I have been waiting for this for some time now, and it was well worth the wait! Fantasy is probley the hardest genre to make with the movies since the game doesn't apply anything "Fantasy like" with the game.
The vo's were performed excellently! With a cast that seemed to fit together so well I thought it was a real movie, the script and story was well written, one of the best I have seen so far in a fantasy movie. The special effects, were a little bit cheesy but still very well done. And the music and sounds were fantastic! They fit perfectly with every little bit of detail!

A well earned 5 star! You are now another great Fantasy movie maker! This will be high in the charts soon, I can feel it! A very well done to you, keep up the good work!

Very good job. The voiceovers are superb. Truly great voice acting. The backdrops and the overlays are very good. The music and freecam work was good as well.
The only few things that needed fixed was most moticeably the blackout scenes, I read about it on your description above about it being a Marg's cave of darkness. You might want to make it an overlay of a dark cave in the future maybe with stalagmites and stalactites so it would be easier to tell what is happening. Editing was mostly great. Their was just a couple of scenes that could've been edited better. But don't get me wrong, this is a very good movie.
I can't wait to see a sequel.
You have watched all of my movies except one. If you want to, might as well review it for me. here is the link

Congratulations on making the best fantasy movie on TMO.

In most parts it was quite predictable, and in fantasies your imgination is the limit, however i do take to hand that the movies does have limits.

The storyline was fast paced, introduced the characters well, however I felt the need to know the characters lifestyle a bit more.

The vos were pretty solid, however irkas vos were dissapointing as they were not loud enough.

There were a few minor glitches, although i am picky with this one it is quite noticeable, the horse Andurathel was riding mysteriously changed colour after he dismounted it, but it did not ruin the movie at all.

Overall a solid fantasy movie, with near enough perfect vos and unique special effects, this movie definately deserves 5 stars!!!

P.S.
If you need any help with the sequel i would be happy to help :)

Plot/Storyline: A young prince leaves the castle keep in search for adventure against his father's wishes. The storyline is missing a lot of ingredients. What is the quest or destiny that the prince will undertake. It seems he is kind of haphazardly going along with the good wizard and his apprentice - following their agenda. His destiny in this adventure and the quest is never fully explained. There needed to be a little more character development for some of the other characters so we can understand their motivations and follow them in the story a little more. The only one who I had a good grasp on was the prince. This film suffered the same problem that a lot of fantasy films suffer from - and that is problem with the dialogue. The dialogue was a mix between present day language and old style speech. The mix didn't fit and the overall conversations didn't flow.

Editing: Some good use of freecam. Excellent use of mods, props, and backdrops. The special effects for the fantasy elements weren't fully realized and the black screen shot with the skeletons didn't work as well either. The ending choice for the cave is a definite - no. The dreaded black screen on film is equivalent to dead air on the radio. This could have been improved even by having eyes in the background by using the dark makeup costume on one of the characters. The sound quality on some of the voice overs were not as good as others. The overall voice acting was very good and you had an excellent cast. The area of editing which was done the best was music. You did find a good epic style theme and used the music to add and intensify certain areas of your film. Some sound effects drowned out the voices - like the loud owl hooting in the forest. Also what was that person that appeared before the final blackout scene?

Pacing: Hurt by dialogue, some continuity errors, and blackout scenes.

Overall: A good attempt for a fantasy movie. This movie shines in the area of music, and use of customizations. The costumes, sets, props, and backdrops used were excellent. It suffered in the area of special effects and was really hurt by dialogue and an imageless ending. It has great potential and I expect the following installment will fix the areas where this one had problems and will be an excellent film.

Rounded up star points since this is the first fantasy epic with S&E that I have seen.

I'm not sure about this...
Editing: The special effects were really poor..sorry to say that, but it's really so(that's also not that important)
Also it could be cutted tighter , some soundeffects from the voiceactors could make it really better
Characters: The main character was a joke, just a cliche prince with the face from an idiot,he had also no deep...
But the sorcere and the others were well made..they^ve got really characters, speak on their own way..
Story: tousand times heard^^..but it touched me on a kind, the athmosphere were great and so I enjoyed the movie really
The Music and the voices were first class, really great...
(sorry for my bad english)^^

Originality: 5/5. A pretty original story, not many good fantasy??s on TMO!

VOs/Music: 3.5/5. The VOs were pretty good for the most part, but the volume on the VO needed to be turned up, and the music needed to be turned down.

Editing/Effects: 5/5. Editing was great and the Magic Effect was really cool.

Genre Fit: 5/5. Though there isn??t a group for Fantasy, you guys pulled it off really well.

Total: 18.5/20 = 5 stars.

Excellent use of backdrops, sets and costumes. The opening scene introduces the character's very well, because it shows both their personality and their immediate goals. By contrast, the other characters involved just pop in randomly with little character development or explanation for how they got involved.

The special effects (spell casting) in the forest were nice, though to be honest they didn't really look that good. Also the editing of the conversations in that scene did not match so well the different people speaking, and it didn't make sense to have such a long conversation between the old man and girl without even talking to the boy.

I suspect that something in the editing of the mage's spell against the skeletons did not work... the screen just went black. Unless it was supposed to be that way? (I read the comment about the black at the end, which makes sense, but the blackness doesn't make sense in the forest scene.)

The voice acting was very good, though in some places the volume could have been balanced better. For example, the crickets in the background overpowered the girl talking after the skeleton fight.

Overall, I thought this was a very good movie, and I love seeing fantasy movies on TMO. I eagerly look forward to more as this series unfolds. All the best for the future.

Nice use of backdrops, costumes & interesting effects.

The music, while excellent, definetely drowned out the dialogue in many scenes. That definetely detracts from the storyline. The dialogue I could hear showed some solid voiceacting.

I liked the drunk guy. He was quite enjoyable!

Suggestion - Lines like "Now, come with now" - try not to use the word more than once in a paragraph, let alone a sentence, if possible.

I think with a little more attention to volume issues & dialogue writing, this could turn into a first-class series.

A compelling story, but, sadly, with many technical flaws. The story was a good idea, I like the fact that we have no idea who the villan is. However, the scenes could have been cut down to fit the dialogue. Also, the special effects were very static and the character placement kept shifting. The music was beautiful but overpowered the voices often. I'm sorry that my recording quality was so poor. I think that the following installments will be top notch because you'll have a better handle on the technical stuff.

No offense or anything, but I expected a little more.

VOs: 2/5
For one, the voices were sub-par. It was difficult to understand what they were saying, and a lot of the time the music drowned it out anyway. The only ones I could hear very clearly were those of the Wizard.

SFX: 4/5
This is where the movie was good. Unfortunately there weren't enough effects to pump it up to a five star, IMHO there should have been more effects.

Story: 3/5
The story in this was...how should I say...a little lacking. It started out well enough I guess, but you need to explain things a little more, like "Why didn't he want to be king." and "Why did he suddenly meet a wizard in the middle of a forest. A lot seemed to happen in a small space of time.

Setting: 2/5
The setting and time seemed to be going well enough, untuil I heard the wizard (Thisathor???) saying the word "hangover."

Music: 5/5
Okay, the music rocked, end of.

Just a few points. 1) The conversation between the father and son needed to be edited own. There were times when nothing was being said, yet the characters continued to go through the motions of having a conversation. 2) The prince's horse changed colors when the arrived at the "Cabin Scene". It went from white (In the field and at the castle) to a regular brown horse. 3) You need to check the movie before uploading. 3) The audio lag hurt the movie twards the end. It threw everything off. 4) When the wizard defeats the dead in the forest, I would rather see something other than a black screen.

All in all, it is an interesting idea, but more care needs to be taken when editting and during final production. If it was done better, I would happily give it a four or five, but where there were things that could have been fixed, I am only able to give a three.

To me, the music overpowered the voice overs, and the voice overs moved up and down with strong volume, none in the same volume. In the opening i could barely hear the son's voice over the loud music. There was also alot of uneeded use of freecamera, like when he gets on the horse.

After the film stopped, i looked at the cover of LOTR because i swear i'd just watched it but a bit shorter. The movie's length was short but seemed long by the slow drawn out pace. KRC as the knight character switches spots in his first conversation alot, falling the wrong direction.

Also, the medeval story seemed broken by "hangover" and other words not in the dialect. The story seemed kind of not there. When you have a story, first you need to include regular injections of an attention "re-grabber" to keep the viewer in. The storyline overall didn't connect. He just randomly met a wizard, but you could've had his reasons for meeting the wizard better. All the sudden they meet an Argorn character, just kind of BAM there he is. You could've done a scene maybe where the guy rescues them combing a "re-grabber" with more plot lined introduction.

Anyway, i walked away with less then when i entered. Alot of shiny mods and retextures made it so bright i had to put my sunglasses on to see the plot. And when i did i wasn't satisfied, because the film had so much potential to fly high its a shame you left it in the nest. I think if you fire back with the next edition, you need work hard to get a strong plot that devolops not by random meetings but by connected events. And the story should be strong, random things shouldn't happen and it seems they did this time. Anyway, i hope you fire back stronger than ever because the potential and talent are very obvious poking through the sceeen.

Critics Center Review

Well i will first start off my review by saying that this movie came extremely close to getting the full on five star rating, ridiculously close actually. But unfortunately come the finale i just couldn't bring myself to do it, not because this was a bad movie, hell its awesome and in fact i could go as far to say its one of the best on the site, but it just seemed a bit slapdash in the plotting and characters. Magic is an extremely interesting premise, one in fact i was quite intrigued by for some time now. Yes there had been some good fantasy movies Online, but they all seemed a bit forced at times, with the notable exception of Arwana's and Johnokinawi's fantasies they weren't exactly perfect. I really did believe that Stunts and Effects might be able to rectify the problem, i stick with my belief after seeing this movie.

Okay before i go slightly more indepth about what went wrong with this movie i will first go on about the things that i did enjoy in this film. For starters it looked beautiful, the custom mods, the sets oh it all just looked anf fealt so damn good. I love watching fantasies mainly because it is interesting to see what the movie makers have been able to construct to make their land look somewhat different from the sets provided on TMO. This movie did not disappoint at all in that aspect. The VO's also were amazingly good, a five star cast were given a five star script, it was a true tribute to good scriptwriting. Sure a lot of the dialogue was slightly cliched but this was a movie full of fantasy cliches and it didn't bother me in the slightest. The fact was the VO's were extremely well done. The music for this movie was also extremely good, it gave the fantasy world a nice little atmosphere that never trully took complete control of the movie but added a neat touch to it all. You also tried some nifty free cam shots, while not all of them succeeded (more on that later) it was nice to see you attempt them and admiteddly some did really work and added to the movie well.

Well unfrtnately now i must go onto the bad stuff in this movie, well the only thing you really did wrong was actually the plot itself. While i don't want to go into full details at all because it got pretty complex towards the end it just fealt, well strained. It never wrecked the movie because every time i fealt this i was immediately distratced from a shinier set or another piece of good dialogue, but towards the end it all seemed to annoy me. The plot holes were also quite apparent at certain points, once again not overlly noticeable and i am sure the next parts will quickly paste over them, but the fact was that they were there and i really could not avoid them. Finally there were some dodgy free cam shots as i have previously mentioned, most looked very nice and displayed quality, but others just seemed to bob about to distract the audience a bit, it didn't it just annoyed me.

Overall Magic is still a very, very good movie and i am sure with time this story will develop into something unique. But currently the inevitable fact is that this movie struggles at times in the story. It needs a bit of work plot wise, but with that all tweaked and edited neatly i am sure the sequels will be non stop thrills and plot turns.

The prince who wants to escape his destiny to become king. A father who only wants his son and nothing more from him. Then he finds out that he's in danger from the great white wizard. Off to escape from danger they go....Some of the camera angles were weird and it sort of distracted from the movie. Why teleport to the forest of darkness? Only to find trouble? And why use the horses instead of teleporting? There were a few quite plot holes. And once again the camera worked against you in the forest scenes. Still with a lot of questions, unanswered, and that's because it was the first episode. I found that this could've been a bit longer with a better story and better characters. The good parts about this film are the Voice Overs and some of the accents and language that they use. I find that it really added to the movie. Some of the animations were a bit clunky and could've been smoother. Overall I think the next episode will be much better. Good Luck.

I'm honest and I really expected more about this fantasy movie with S&E. The movie is just ok, but need to be more dinamic, and the characters needs more live. For now, I can't believe in this like in real people. Also, some technical problems I detected in the film.

I wanted to give this 4 stars for the VOs sound. Some where loud some where low. But in the end I loved the story so much that the VOs didn't matter. This is a first rate story being told. The first really good movie done with the knight costumes. I like the power series but this hit me more. I just like the story more for some reason. Still you can't go wrong with the orginal fantasy series. But this is a great story. Fix the Vo problem and this is a Ninja Cronic Award winner. Very good.

Excellent. The whole movie had that 'unique' vibe to it that just screamed "Top Class" all the VO's were performed excellently and were presented at an easy to hear level volume. The special effects looked really good too and the script was very well written that again added to the atmosphere of the movie. Music and sounds were used well, my only complaint is that I couldn't see Marg at the end when he was talking, I don't know if this was intentional though. Overall this is an excellent movie that deserves to be see and should achieve a high position in the charts. VERY well done. 5 Stars
