A Critic's Center Review

Opening Statement:
May we say it's good to see you again MeFuneAkira. You bring the funny in funny and we haven't laughed so much since KOPS part 1. It's got that type of appeal on comedy. The narration on this movie was great. It was a very random movie that stayed true to the title Trouble In Lonewolf. This was like Scary Movie or Airplane without spoofing other movies. Everything just seemed to happen in this town and that was interesting. A plus for you MeFuneAkira you made [censored!]in' DOC laugh his ass off and that's pretty rare. So in the funny department you did a great job. We remembered how funny The Unwanted Hero was and Jesus VS Easter and this was a little funny than both of those combined. There were alot of elements in this movie that made it great. Number one it was easy to follow and that's key. When Abrey said this was funny man he wasn't lying at all.

Requirements:
You pretty much did a great job in this area you had the creativity factor in this like the custom titles done with custom backdrops. We liked the zoom on the title also. For this to had been a quickly made S&E movie it seemed like hours were put on it. The VO work was excellent we really liked the narration from the one cowboy. It was a great acting work on this film. The music flowed well with this film, but we wanted to hear some custom music also. Hopefully you add that in the next edition. This was a random comedy so it didn't need a plot, but it had a great surround storyline about a town full of craziness. Nice work on your part. This is Oscar material no joke and the quality was just amazing. You passed with an A+.

At Critic's Center we make sure the studio takes something out of our review and use it towards future projects. We don't just say a few words and leave you with nothing. We give you reality and it always has helped our filmmakers in the past. The mission is reviewing.

Closing:
MeFuneAkira you made an unexpected classic and for DOC to be laughing so hard is an amazing achievement on your part. As long as you continue to excell in the comedy genre you will succeed. The randomness of your movies is your strong point. This is definently one of the funniest movies ever to be produced on TMO. The voice acting is a plus also. The only thing you may want to take into account is fixing the music situation to be up tempo with this kind of film. We can't wait to see your next comedic adventure. You're truly the Last Comic Standing!!!!!!

OFFICIAL FOUR HEAD STUDIOS REVIEW

Post 10/10
Post right and the 10 points shall come from the earth.

Structure Aspects 57/60

Structure 19/20

Story, Title and Subject 5/6
Its more a of a comedic narrative but a very good one at that very to easy to follow. A very random subject matter but structured very well. I think the title is the only real thing lacking here, as bizarre as the story is the title really doesn??t measure up.

Sets and Costumes 5/5
Very good use of costumes and sets to give the story life.

VO, Sounds, Subtitles 6/6
Very good job here, use of both VO and subtitles to tell your story.

Custom Material, Stunts and Effects 3/3
Stunts and Effects where used effectively to tell your story good job.

Creativity 19/20

Story, Title and Subject 8/8
Title lacking in creativity, but the story more that makes up for it, can??t find anything more creative than this story one of a kind.

Sets and Costumes 7/7
As creative as the story, the creativeness of the story almost fed this aspect of the movie.

VO, Sounds, Subtitles 3/3
Very creative in changing voice range to make ever character unique.

Custom Material, Stunts and Effects 1/2
Not original in free cam motion but creative none the less.

Editing 19/20

Sets and Costumes 8/8
Seamless, no errors to report good job.

VO, Sounds, Subtitles 7/8
Notice some problems when voice over seemed to cut out and music went higher and lower, Voice over might have need to be tweaked a little but nothing really major.

Custom Material, Stunts and Effects 4/4
Seamless again no errors.

Enjoy Ability Factor 29/30

First Watch 15/15
I was very much entertained the first time I watched the movie, I actually laughed which I have not done very often when watching a movie on TMO. At face value very well executed story.
Second Watch 14/15
When I watched it a second time to give it a rating the only thing that I found which I knew more about was who is the narrator, and was is the faded looking fire scene all about of there than that I really enjoyed this move a recommend it to anyone.

TOTAL 96/100 5 STARS

Critics Guild Review (Status Guild Memeber)

Firstly Mefune it is great to have one of the inspirations among TMO back with us, many have been inspired here by your obvious wit and talent at movie-making and you have lived up to your name once again with this amusing and ridiculously funny movie with some fantastic aspects and little flaws at all. I am actually surprise you have never made a living out of this as you are immensely witty, ironic, sarcastic and hilarious. I have actually enjoyed this movie, which I haven't dpne on TMO for quite a while. This movie had me chuckling and giggling throughout.

The plot was extrememly silly and borderline crazy which added to the film immensely, it created a laid back but unpredictable atmosphere having I and probably every other viewer and reviewer here in stitches. The plot was very ironic with a little taste of everything for everyone a hard aspect to achieve within a movie with such limited software. The plot was as mentioned funny, crazy mixed in with every kind of humour there is out there I think,. But however, although very funny and borderline crazy the plot began to get ridiculous and it spoiled the movie ever so slightly and I started wincing when the army of the chickens got involved, it pained me to see you go down the road of randomness in this overall perfect comedy. Just please never do it again although I have to admit some of the unpredictability was one of the major points of my likeness for this movie.

Also I found the VOs astounding, combined with the character development it was excellent. When I say character development I don't mean the history of the character and in depth on their morals and such an such, I mean the overall personality I have not one single moan on it, as the way the characters reacted to events, such as when unpredictably the guy went for a tinkle LOL. The reaction and the way you showed me had me totally laughing and left in my hilarity there was more cheap but funny jokes to commence, I absoulutely loved it. The VOs were as mentioned astounding they suited the characters and were very clear and funny an essential in a comedy, the VOs just had me laughing out loud more and more.

This also showed some of the main features of stunts and effects but most of allkt they were used in a movie and a good movie not some randon utter rubbish which I think they call a tech demo lol. Also your free camera skills were a little off at times but still absoulutely amazing, how you have grasped the skill so quickly is news to me. S and E has been out only a few days yet you and a couple of others have already mastered it I am truly amazed by yours and others skills.

There is one slight moan though one of the jokes was borderline racist, the bit about "not those kinds of aliens, yup those kind" I admit it was funny but we shouldn't laugh at this kind of thing but I suppose its no different from mMonty Python, Blackadder and various other sit coms so I am goin g to let it slide as I feel it is no different from real TV shows that we all so laugh at so much.

So overall a hilarious movie with astounding VOs and a hilarious plot, it will surely have you all out there laughing and guffawing out loud. There is a pinch of something for everyone and I must tell you all there is a pretty big reference to Jesus Versus Easter the award winning MefuneAkira film. SO be prepared for a movie demonstrating perfect aspects of moviemaking and S and E burst open to its limits.

In other word Mefune welcome back!!

Mefune, great to see you back! This was the comic relief I've been waiting for for quite a long time! Not since Jesus vs. Easter has something been this funny! You're doing a fine job of living up to your studio name! Now - to the movie!

The storyline was just insanely funny! So stupid, so weird, so effed up, it was just hysterical! I mean, Jesus vs. Easter was original, but not 10/10 original. This was just out of this world, and I don't know where you came up with this?! Another thing that makes me laugh, is the names of corporations, languages, and all the other hullaballo in this flick! It was just downright great!

The voiceovers were also done very well! The narrator was a rough sounding guy, with a touch of humour that couldn't be avoided coming from you! Also, you're accents were pretty good, and also the alien language was funny! All those little things added greatly to this film, and I'm glad you put them in. The alien reference, indian reference, currie, Jesus, devil...everything in this movie was hilarious! I guess you could call this a parody, because it had lots of elements in it from real life situations or movies/shows! Great work!

The editing - this is what I enjoyed! The expansion was only released 4 days ago, and like predicted there have been an abundance of tech demos! Boooring! THIS however, was great! There was NO overusage of free cam, NO overusage of any of the new features really! Great job in not getting carried away. However, I want to say that the camera shots were brilliant in this film, and I like how you had an assortment of fast paced shots, along with the static shots, along with slow dolly movements! Excellent!

The flaws...the flaws? There was really nothing major wrong with this film! The humour was great, the story was funny and in depth, the voiceovers were top-notch, and the editing was smooth! I guess, if I HAVE to find something wrong with it, it would be that there maybe some minor, unnoticable editing problems, or unnoticable VO problems, or unnoticable story holes. So really, I mean, I couldn't think of anything wrong with this! I actually just spent about 2 minutes thinking of what could be wrong! So, here's *The Breakdown*
Originality: 9/10 - some parody elements, but very fresh idea!
Plot/Story: 10/10 - Well developed story & characters! Good job!
Editing: 10/10 - Free Cam wasn't taken overboard, and there weren't any probs!
Subs/VOs: 10/10 - A wide range of characters with a wide range of voices! All crystal clear!
WOW ME: 11/10 - Mefune Akira is BACK and better than ever! For a comeback movie, it was excellent. Again, you really impressed me with making such a high quality flick, and not going overboard with the new features!
Total: 50/50 or 5.0 stars!

BRAVO!

This one plays almost like a game-generated film - but with excellent narration and some amusing comedic beats.

Bizarre comedy isn't really my thing, and quite a few jokes just didn't hit the spot. But there was enough I did find funny to make this one downloadable for the archives.

There's a British film critic called Mark Kermode who reckons if he gets 7 laughs in a feature it's a good comedy. I laughed a whole lot more than 7 times in 8 minutes!
Thanks for making me laugh so much, I nearly pissed myself at the same time as your narrator.

I thought the VOs were great. It was definitely original. Made me smile a couple times, but some of the humor wasn't really my style. That said, it was still a funny and original movie. I definitely wasn't bored!

STORY - The script looks like all L.M.A.O. Studio's scriptwriters had got drunk and then were writing the script for this movie. The story is crazy, curious, funny absurd and I don't know whatever it also is. I didn't see something like this before on TMO and it is a really fresh revival. (1 star)
DUB + SUB - Dubbing of the story teller is fitting very much and a lot of other actors has good voice actors too. But one or two voices looks immoderately out. (4/5 star)
MUSIC - Music is deep in the background and it is used rare, so it isn't taking attention from the movie. Maybe it could be little bit louder. (1 star)
DIRECTOR - Now to the production. Scenes selection is so crazy that sometimes it looks like a random selection. In fact the scenes are fitting the story and in so curious composition its imposible to find mistakes in cut or in the selection. But one mistake is visible. When a man is getting out of the space ship, there is used scene with a gun and the gun is erased. His hands are looking weird when he is then going away from the ship. (4/5 star)
INGREDIENCES - Crazy and funny movie. (1 star)

OVERAL - Did I say that this is movie is crazy? It's so crazy that I wonder where the creator got these ideas. It's done very well and it is so curious that it was hard for me to review it as other movies. Except one or two voices and one scene with erased gun it's mistakeless. I really enjoyed this movie. One of the best of comedies on TMO.
STAR RATING: 4.6

Plot/Storyline: A semblance of a plot is used in this hodgepodge of randomness in the style of Mel Brooks/Monty Python. A variety of characters are introduced and added on along the way to make this a comic epic based on the sheer numbers of characters.

Editing: Good scene choices and editing. Voiceovers were done very well and was an integral part of the comedy. Music used well in the background and varied.

Pacing: Good comic bits continue throughout and keeps the viewers entertained.

Overall: This is purposeful randomness with high production value. The quality of the production is what separates this film from some of the low budget random comedies I have seen. This is a highly recommended film and a very good comedy. In terms of how it stands as a movie, there are no real developed characters, the scarce plot is supported by the layering of comedic skits from aliens to Indians to Jesus to bunnies etc... While I did find it funny, as a full movie it just misses getting a 5.

from the twin swords reviewing team.

Really nice comedy that made me laugh quite a few times. But the narrator was a little monotone when things get a little weird again and again. i appreaciate that its hard to make people to laugh by using scenes made on the game but you pulled it off, a spectular comidy movie

Posted on July 9, 2006
- green_eye_studios

Script: 5

Script? I would call it well directed mayhem instead :D Really good one and I liked the idea with the narrator in it. Only thing is "things get a little weird" a little too often for my taste ;)

Production: 4

Nice set usage, but that's not what is really important in a comedy at all. You managed to get a nice movie together here and made really nice cuts to throw in the jokes. I much liked the narrator also. Really good one again, but sometimes a little bit chaotic for my taste.

Music and Sound: 5

The voice of the narrator and characters were really well done. Made me laugh to only here some of them. Music was well chosen too to add to the athmosphere.

Overall: 4

Really nice comedy that made me laugh quite a few times. But the narrator was a little monotone when things get a little weird again and again. A little less chaos would have been nice possibly, but I should state that it's hard to make me laugh with a TM-movie. You managed that and so I say this was really good.

Result: 4,5 rounded up to 5 stars

How refreshing a comedy that is actually funny. I laughed, I cried, I wet my pants. Lost of base humor and site gags but I am all about it. There is nothing that this movie does not have. Clowns, aliens, prositutes, cowboys... no ninjas though. Oh well maybe next time.

There some funny stuff here, but it didn't live up to the hype I saw for it. Maybe there was too much PR done for it I dunno. I had a few smiles and maybe a chuckle but it just didn't reach me. Maybe I'm too simple to get some of the jokes, that is a possibility.

Ok done with why it didn't get 5 or 4 stars, now it's time to say why it got 3 rather than 1 or 2. Production value on this film was very good. VOs were flawless and well acted. Though I didn't find the jokes all that funny most of the time, there were a couple that were entertaining. Biggest reason I this such a high rating though was because of the obvious effort you put into the film. Goodluck with your future films.

For me this wasn't as funny as many have written here. There were some nice jokes in it which made me 1 or 2 times smile (the mexican), but nothing more.

Yes, the movie was crazy in point of story. But crazy doesn't mean funny at all. And crazy also doesn't mean original.
In fact the old man tells a story which has no direction to go.
I read very much about this movie and now I am truly disappointed. I don't know how I should rate it. Sure it was funnier than the most stuff out there but it wasn't that funny that I could give 4 stars.
Than I think hmm, it has received so many 5 stars, one 3 star rating doesn't hurt at all.

Hmmmmm. I see 13 pages of 5 star love-it-love-it-love-it reviews, and I ask myself, is it then my fault that I didn't even crack a smile during this? Probably. But it's a comedy, and I can only rate a comedy on how much it amused me. Unfortunately it didn't.
That said, it's a well produced movie and on paper it should work. The sound quality is clear with an excellently performed VO, there's a healthy blend of in-jokes, 'zany' non-sequiters and comedic riffs to keep the audience involved, the use of freecam and the chosen cuts has kept the whole thing looking fresh and yet... I dunno, maybe it's the weight of expectation - I sat down for a chateaubriand and was handed frozen burger.
The jokes are weak and predictable - even the off the wall stuff isn't really that off the wall (killer clowns and chicken suits? Please!). The riffing is just off the mark, causing frustration instead of amusement - by the 3rd 'and from here on things get a little wierd' I was reaching for the Hedex. Plotwise, it does feel like this one was just ad-libbed after a strenuous visit to the local anesthesiologist.
Again, I look at the 13 pages of hugely positive reviews and some of the excrable movies I've given decent marks to and wonder if somehow this is just over my head and I should give it the benefit of the doubt. At the same time I have to look at my hideous frowning mug in the mirror and wonder, do I have the balls to stand in the face of this tsunami of popularity and give the movie the 2 stars I feel it deserves? Of course not, what kind of a coward would I be if I went around standing up for my beliefs? A pretty bad one. And that's something I can never be...

Its not as funny as many here make it out to be but its a solid and strange story throughout. I liked the battle scene you put together at the end, some outrageous mayhem at its best. The music was kind of stale imo (TMO default music), you really did well with the voice overs and I bumped you up a star just for that. Nice work on the movie MefuneAkira, is this a continous series?

Welcome back MefuneAkira!! And I have to say really enjoyeyed pretty much every aspect of the film.

Intro/Credits: 4/5
The intro was enough to keep me wanting me to watch more. The long list made me smile but not an out loud laugh, which had me worried for a bit. The title zoom effects were good and smoothly executed.

Plot/Storyline: 5/5
The plot was random and simple. Which is a structure I favour in my movies and one I've noticed you use in almost all your films. I would have given it a three but your gags saved you getting a 5.

Gags: 5/5
Again your amount of jokes in one film never ceases to amaze. I especially enjoyed the "This is where it begins to get a little weird" running joke.

Custom Effects/ Stunts and Effects: 4/5
They were in the right amount of effects for this type of film. But nothing spectacular.

Editing/VOs: 4/5
The editing and VO's were superb as ever but a few voices were cut off at some points.

Music:4/5
Appropiate, but all from the game so nothing new.

Total: 26/30
One of your greatest and I don't think you could improve that much more! Well done and hope to see more films from you soon!

I have seen this movie three times and it still cracks me up. Reading through the reviews, people have stated all the positive points much better than I could hope to; so I'll just offer up my one criticism. I'm 32 but still immature enough to appreciate farts. But I don't think they worked in this movie. Anyways that's my opinion, feel free to rip me a new one whenever I get a movie up.

Critics Center Review

OPENING: Now is the time for me to admit something, i must be one of the few people who have not seen Jesus Vs. Easter, well yeah its off now but it was a movie that i wanted to see and yet i just never got round to seeing it. So i didn't have much of an idea what to expect when i saw the words "from the creator of "Jesus Vs. Easter", yes that movie might be regarded as a classic, but i couldn;t just take peoples words for it, i had to see the real thing to have made my mind up. So sat down, pressed play and wondered what i was in store for. Well the simple answer for that is that i was about to watch a downright hilarious laugh fest. A movie so silly, so outrageously funny and so damn original that i immediately fell in love with it. Honestlly this movie earnt the five stars within two minutes, the other five minutes were just an additional bonue of hilarity that kept me engrossed and grinning like an idiot until it had long since passed.

PLOT: Okay comedies aren't really ones for their amazing plots, usually they are just one big gag fest with a silly plotline tagging along just to make it all look neat and tidy. However, this movie attempted a stab at a plot, and suprisingly it worked, it was funny and actually benefited the entire humour of the movie. What i also noticed was the amount of spoofing you crammed into this plot, i won't give any of it away but there was some stuff i just really burst out laughing over. Honestlly this movie was just full of hilarity, unforgettable characters and suprisingly, moulded deep under the laughs, it actually had a sort of heart pumping there. Nice to see comedies that appear to be more than just endless streams of jokes.

MUSIC: Well, music is never a high spot for comedy movies, and admiteddly the music here was definately your one weak spot. Not there wasn't anything particularly bad about it, but the fact was the music seemed sidelined, more in the background while the ludicrous events unfolded beforeour eyes. I found this a shame becausea good piece of music can make a comedy appear to be even funnier, the music didn't really have much originality for it and so i couldn't be overlly impressed by it.

DIALOGUE: Of course a comedy is made or breaked up by how good the dialogue is. Well in this movie the dialogue definately stole the show, the jokes came thick fast and funnier each time. The characters were developed comically with their dialogue and the VO's just made the movie so much better, the cast was more than able to raise a smirk, the narrator was absolutely brilliant.

OVERALL: Overall this movie is a trully great comedy, a bit more work on the music and tis would have been birtually perfect in every way. But ignore my one criticsim this deserves t shoot up the charts and do extremely well.

FINAL WORDS: Earns an 02 APPROVED and i will definately look out for your future movies.

Really good funny story. Kept me guessing on what would happen next. Kinda dragged off towards the middle but then came right back up to speed.

-VOs/Subs
Good voice overs. The voices really hit the mark.

-Editing
Superb editing. I liked the use of the freecam and other stunts and effects features.

-Did I enjoy it?
Loved it. Really funny. Probably the funniest I've seen on this site. Great job.

Editing : 4/4 - Good editing, saw no problems
Dialogue : 3/3 - Good voice overs, crisp and clear.
Plot/Originality : 5/5 - Can't say I have ever seen a story of a wild west town getting overrun by aliens, chickens, soldiers from the future, and demons. So top marks for originality. The plot is just right for a comedy
Entertainment : 5/5 - I really enjoyed this movie. Kept my interest throughout the entire thing. Well done.
Music/Sound : 3/3 - The music worked.
Total : 20/20 - 5 stars - Excellent

'Normal isn't exactly a word used in the great city of Lonewolf'

Truer words were never spoken. I thought that you started off the film with good credits and the use of freecam was expertly done. The characters and voices were immediately different and I admire you for that because to be honest not many people can do that on the Movies...Monkeylips...excuse me I just had a spasm...anyway, as I was saying, your movie was very well done and the story of the Civil War and the Aliens, NO NOT THAT KINDA ALIEN, was very well put together. I loved the part where he had to go for...ahem! And then, when he came back, he backtracked on all of the story. That was great! But,

'From here things get a little weird...'

As a Christian I do not appreciate the use of Jesus in this storyline. I found it offensive and to be quite honest, I have had enough of that on the movies. That is why I deducted a star. Hey, you wanted an honest review. Anyway after 4 mins 40 secs the part where you started poking fun at my religion I was annoyed and then it started to be funny again but then there was more offence.

However, I will grant you that your movie was very funny and you used Stunts and Effects to its full potential. Well done and good luck in all your future movies.

Simply a great movie! I don't have time to give it a long review but I'm not going after the VC either... One of the only comedies I've given five stars!

Great opening scene. Excellent voiceover. Love the intergalatic kung-fu. This movie really stands out. It was hilarious! I'm impressed by the flow of the narration - funny, clever, and truly interesting to listen to. Have I mentioned I enjoyed this yet? It boils down to - Dulcilicious!

* Story/Plot - 8/10:
Very funny story told by a rambling old cowboy. Everything seemed to flow smothly through the randomness of it all. Even with the randomness I still could tell what was happening, thank God.
* Originality - 10/10:
Pretty original from what I could tell. I haven't really seen anything quite like it.
* VOs/Subs - 10/10:
The VOs hit their mark every time.
* Editing - 8/10:
Very good editing, but the FreeCam seemed over used.
* Enjoyment Factor - 10/10:
I laughed my butt off, this was so funny.
* Overall - 46/50: Great job. Keep up the good work.

"And now things start to get a little wierd..." And increasingly hilarous! This movie just keeps escalating the absurdity with each passing momment, until you give up and cry out in pain because you just busted a gut laughing.

[This is a Make Kos Laugh review]
Rating: ***** Still laughing while typing review

That was completely messed up, and very funny. To be honest I got a bit concerned that it was going to fall in a heap after the strangeness that appeared after the intermission, but then it picked up again towards the end. The VO quality and script are the highlights of the movie. Great work.

You are the MASTER of COMEDY on TMO for sure. Each time a see one of your movie i'm laughing. I love your humour, and the best for me is that you bring gags from your old movies. You're the best, and I really enjoy watching this movie and the old too. You're one of the TMO studio i follow and i'm waiting for your next movie.

From Mission: Reviewing Team
Hosts Jeremiah and Dr. Googlestien with WCP

Studio Rank:

Award/Stars:

Useful Message from CC:

Pure centre of the forehead genius!

So much happened in this perfectly executed comedy I really don't know where to start....

An inspired plot, Profesional VO, Oustanding editing - there all here but none of them matter compared to the rollercoaster of a story that has you laughing all the way through to the end.

A truely fantastic film that more than deserves all the praise it's received!

I don't think it was that funny, and beyond that you overused camera angles that were't needed, in other words you highly overused free-camera which i've been strict on and the same voice ominously speaking the whole time became stale for me. You stopped for some family guy random comedy along the roadtrip of your film. You just randomly threw together a plot i honestly didn't think was funny

I'm known by many as a harsh reviewer who looks for the plot in the film and comedy rarely strikes my fancy, i looked at this and saw no plot and a character that was much like Peter from Family Guy, he just makes jokes he doesn't make anything matter and you just threw together jokes i didn't see a plot and the core VO's just became boring by the end, it wasn't a bad film i just don't see what the commotion is about

VOs: 10/10- The vos were almost to the level of perfect.
Editing: 10/10- The cuts were very well made.
Origniality: 10/10- The story was VERY orignal.
WOW Factor: 11/10- It made you laugh, and there is no doubt that this is one of the funniest movies on TMO right now!!!

What the hell is --wrong-- with you, Mefune?

Easily the funniest and most bizarre mish-mashed comglomeration of aliens, chickens, space troopers, indians (both the tomahawk and the you-are-here forehead-dot kind), guns, ganja, Jesus, and Ecstasy I have ever experienced...

Again, I say - What the hell is --wrong-- with you, Mefune?

Whatever it is, don't fix it, cuz it may be bizarre, but it damned sure ain't broken.

What a fun flick and a fine addition to my bookmarks!

This one is a close-call to your debut masterpiece, Jesus Vs Easter but nonetheless, this movie had me ROFL-ing quite abit. Although, it got abit repetitive (and darn right silly) near the end when every weird characters you can make on TM decide to join in the garnage within Lonewolf, a stoner joke came out and well.......the rest as I like to say is.....rock n roll!

A couple of camera movement glitches and composition errors not withstanding,
this is one outrageous and explosive comedy dipped in the baroque craziness.

Totally original plot and hillarious voice work truly shine in the midst of surefire directorial skill and confidence.
Deadtone voiceover delivered by annonymous cowboy narrator, whose voice work really hit the spot,
guides the audience through some of the wildest and inventive episodes set in the backdrop of a town called Lonewolf,
and we are encountered with every weirdos from both this world and outerworld.
Even JC himself makes an unexpected cameo here.

Some of the cinematic techniques are bit over-indulgent and over the top, but this is that kind of a crazy movie.

This is one of the funniest movie I have seen on TMO.
I am in awe that there are so many talented moviemakers currently active on TMO.
And this is the reason why I love being a movie critic on TMO.

Outstanding job, MifuneAkira

P.S.

Wow - like you would expect less than a 5? I saw your advertisement post and saw that you mentioned you had received nothing less than a 5 - so I thought - when you posted your movie in my review thread, that I would try my hardest to give it a 4.

I couldn't.

What amazes me more than the spot on humor was the perfect audio! And with the recent release of the expansion how quickly you made it in! When it comes to me - the shorter a review I make it means one of two things: 1. The movies just didn't give me enough to work with or 2. The movie is so damn good I really don't need to say anything. And I won't.

ah man, dude! I saw this advertised on the "your movies" thread, and thought "how could anyone get 41 out of 41 5 stars?" That was insane funny. There were some parts that, for a second, seemed stupid (like stoppin for the guy to pee) but u always turned it around when i least expected it (like havin the characters get fed up because the guy is peeing.. haha, priceless) this is the first movie ive seen of yours, but I'm definantly bookmarking u man... how is this not at the #1 position?

You know, i've lived 5 clicks east of Lonewolf for some years now, in a little town names Texarcana, and you'd be plumb loco to think we hadn't seen our share of extraterrestrial, time displacing hate/love compositions of our own but never so beautifully rendered from the mouth of such wizdom and eloquence. What i'm trying to say son, is you use your mouth prettier than a twenty dollar [censored!]. One thing that not only distressed me to no end, but actually demanded that i flag the film, was the inconsiderate jiving of your elders' incontinence. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services reported in 1996 that approximately 13 million people in the United States suffer from urinary incontinence. That's literally rivers of urine. Never a laughing matter! Hahaha! Those old [not-so-nice-word!]s! ~ Great stuff, as always!

Mefune...did you take a trip into the desert to re-discover yourself or something?

There was a time where I became a little concerned...where I thought we'd pretty much seen the last of this comedy genius and despared at how TMO could possibly exist without his side-splitting creations.

One expansion pack later and BANG! Mefune Akira returns and hits us all for six with yet another hilarious masterpiece.

A movie that combines just about every gag and gimmick with an absolutely crazy yet sublime storyline and exquisite visuals.

There's just one more thing I'm gonna say that everyone else has already said, but hey, it's the truth...it's good to have you back!

This one is indeed...

When most people make up a script in fourteen seconds, it's utter crap. This, on the other hand, is some good [shhhh!].

An extremely good movie, perhaps better than JVE? Dunno?

The amazing thing was, it was such a large and detailed film with many new factions coming in all the time; yet somehow it still pulled through well in terms of continuity and quality.

Many great and funny little jokes too. The narrators voice was very well done as was the rest of the voices for that matter.

Overall, an exceedingly good movie and great to see you back around mefune akira. :)

Kinda like that posty modem chunk guy said before me, I'm in pain right now. Really good ediing too. That action sequnce near the end had me drooling, which is pretty hard to do while laughing. Try it sometime. But not now. Finish reading this review first.

I didn't think it was possible, but heck, I guess it finally happened -- someone made a movie that made me laugh so long and hard that I am actually in deep, physical pain as I write this. I'm serious. My sides are swollen, my lungs ache, and my head is spinning with a strange, deepset dizziness I have no idea how to explain to my girlfriend. That, alone, is the highest praise I could give this; not a single joke missed its mark, and I laughed at every bizarre, self-referential, postmodern minute of this fast, loose, and wild comedy of epic proportions. Sharp camera work, deliciously wicked editing, and a montage that is guaranteed to make you wee-wee in your underroos, and there's no escaping it -- this is a comedy classic.

But I can't just end my review saying, "Ouch, man, I'm hurting! I'M HURTING!" Sharing a spot with Benstudios1991 and FoDoog, you reign as one of the Three Divine Masters of Shaolin Style Martial Arts Comedy, where the belly laughs hit you so fast its like having your throat mercilessly slit by some ninja assassin. Or whatever, man. I'm still dizzy as I type this.

No, really. It's great to have you back. Jesus vs. Easter, as I've said before, was one of the first great films I ever saw on TMO -- so good, in fact, I dragged my roommate into the room and forced him to watch it (he was too much of an art snob to bother finishing it though...). So your return is biblical, sort of. "And, lo! there shalt be a prophet! And he shalt make thou pee thy pants!" Or something.

God, this was a great movie.

This was just crazy...A studio that can incorporate Aliens, Chickens, cowboys, clowns, demons and of course The lord and savior jesus himself has to be somewhat of a comedic genius..Very enjoyable movie...

BRAVO!

Yes it is a very f*cked up town.. it amazes me that you managed to make such a great movie with the limited time you had. I like that jesus as well as the village idiot was in this one. The story teller was great, as he unravles the tale. You amaze me yet again... Fantastic, ( almost flawless ) movie, the camera movements were great. The story was well above average, loved it. :D
