Wow,I think the long-winded review by RonH is much too harsh. So you used mods and music etc etc made by other people, who cares? Its how those mods are used by the person who makes the film that matters.Complaining about the repeating music over a 13 minute film?Ever seen the Star Wars movies? How many times during those films did we hear the same music thrown at us?I could ramble on more and more about this, but I don't want my review to be as long as his lol

Anyways,I enjoyed this very much, and I remember watching part 1 quite some time ago. This was even better in my opinion, and I can't see any reason why someone would give this less than 3,and even thats being very critical.
The storyline was interesting, and I liked how you had scenes of the past in describing what was being read in the book.
The VO was good, although I would like to have heard more emotion in the parts where there was laughter, but thats a small nitpick.
Overall I liked the atmosphere, and I think doing this in B&W was the right decision.Interesting characters helped give the story a well-rounded feel.
Congrats on getting Hot-Picked:-)

I haven??t done one of these in awhile, and this one is for HOLY BLOOD II(draco the vampyre)! By alfric. Let see if I still got it, shall we? Here it is:

D I R E C T I N G 7/20

Description ?? Well I can??t say the directing was awful in this because it wasn??t made with S&E, which is good, because if it was made with S&E then it would have been lacking. I did realize that in the film the director used all the tools available to produce the best picture. These included; crane shots, filter mods, custom costumes, etc. I admire this and enjoy that the filmmaker took the time to hunt these down.

Now although this is great and all, we must wonder, was it appropriate for the film? For the most part, my answer would be: yes! I liked the B&W feel of the film; it added more to the old-school type of Dracula/Horror films. It also added more darkness and suspense, so good work there.

It seemed however, that the only reasons everything worked well was because everything came from outside sources. Now don??t get me wrong, in real films directors get all there stuff from other people (sets, costumes, equipment, etc) BUT the difference is that they get a say in what they want built or what THEY need for the film. I don??t disagree with using mods, I just believe that the director should put some insight into what they will use in the film, shouldn??t they? Overall it just seemed that the filmmaker overwhelmed the project with all these mods and the film really lost the filmmaker??s touch of creativeness.

Quality ?? I believe it is a challenge to take mods and see how you could put them together to make a film, but you shouldn??t have to make that challenge, or you shouldn??t have to not do any creative work of your own and totally bombard the film with these mods.

Effectiveness ?? The film worked but that??s only because it was 98% done by other people. If I were to add mods I wouldn??t use too much BUT if I had to use a lot I would rather pay a modder to make something unique and specific for me and my film. This was an effective use of camera work and modifications, but a poor work from the director??s stand point for implementing more of their own uniqueness.

Improvement Notes ?? Like I said if you want to use a lot of mods then pay somebody to make you something specific, but if you just need one thing or two then it is fine to use a bit of mods from the community, because most of them are excellent! Just always remember this is your film, and not some film that you only put scenes together for and let everyone else do most of the work for you. Get more creative ?? that??s what director??s do!

E D I T I N G 14/20

Description ?? The filter mod and the castle sets really helped cover-up any editing problems here, because we were too engulfed by the modifications of the film to notice the similarities of the sets in the game and even some of the scenes.

Don??t take this all as a bad thing, it is a good thing as well, because from what I saw in this film ?? I know that you can put scenes together from a script and make them flow and transition to the next scene and so on. The bad part about this is that ?? I think that is all you can do, because that is all you demonstrated.

Quality ?? I believe it was of an average quality. Everything worked well and moved forward without many mishaps. The story was not damaged in any way so good work.

Effectiveness ?? Overall it worked well for me and I would say this is one of the areas of the film that wasn??t lacking.

Improvement Notes ?? Keep it up!

S C R I P T 2/15

Description ?? A dull beginning turns into an exciting and interesting middle then finishes off where it started, with a dull ending. I found this factor of the film disappointing.

The story really resembled the feelings of ??Van Helsing?? and ??The Mummy?? series mixed together. (This is not a complement, those films were much better of course) This was not good because it really took away from the originality factor. By the way, are you a Stephen Sommers fan by any chance? Because then this would all make a lot of sense.

The story of bringing back someone through ressuraction and sacrifice has been done many times over and many have tried it with twists and have failed miserably. Some include vampires, others mummies, but overall it is the same thing for me.

The reason I say it got more interesting in the middle was because of the addition of the priests from the Vatican. I thought that was a pretty cool idea until we realize what happens to them and the I was disappointed again. I wasn??t disappointed because of what happened to them, but merely because I thought this factor really built up the story and you just threw them away like rag dolls. If they were built up so well, then why do I feel that they had no real significance? I just needed more explanation that is all.

Quality ?? This was lacking in some important areas and overall if fell short for me.

Creativeness/Originality ?? Again, the idea was done many times over, and this is yet another attempt at it. I didn??t enjoy how you dealt with the additions put in to this overdone concept. This was a potential hit that in the end, due to various flaws, fell into the unoriginal pile.

Effectiveness/Flaws ?? I was hoping for something new, but it didn??t really happen. The effectiveness of the story was average for me and that is good, but considering I could watch films with the similar plot line and get more enjoyment made this an overall ineffective film.

Improvement Notes ?? Don??t add things into the story if they are insignificant and will be dealt with easily. Do not take the cheap way out in your endings. Be more original.

V O / S U B S 10/15

Description ?? Technically the fake accents worked for me! I like them and all the VO were clear for the most part. The subtitles were a nice touch, just in case we didn??t understand the VO. The front title screens however, were difficult to read, and quite fast as well.

Casting ?? Great work here ?? everyone fit the bill.

Quality ?? Again, like I said this was great.
Effectiveness ?? Now considering how well the actors did and how well you managed to assign their roles and keep their VOs in the right levels I must say that is another area of the film that was great.

Improvement Notes ?? Keep it up!

S P E C I A L _ F X & S O U N D 1/10

Description ?? Special FX wasn??t really apparent ?? unless you count mods as special FX, then this was full of them. This was full of mods and amazing FX that you didn??t have a say in. So great work to all the modders! We love you! You make director??s that have no creativity seem like geniuses!

As for sound it seemed you didn??t put a lot of effort in implementing them. I always say that for horror films the easiest way to scare people is not done visually but more through timing and correct sound implementation. This film lacked this, therefore it wasn??t scary.

Quality ?? Overall, on the director??s part, I must say this was nothing but poor.

Effectiveness ?? If you are making a horror film and you don??t even disturb the public then how can you call it a horror film? This felt more like a fantasy thriller or something. (I would have put it under action, just to be safe)

Improvement Notes ?? Know your genre and apply to it, because people are expecting. Don??t forget to use all the tools of AMM and PP.

M U S I C 0/10

Description ?? This was the sections I was waiting for! This film had some serious flaws here. Sure the music is great, and not the director??s (which isn??t a problem), but why is it so repetitive? Hmmm?.maybe because every time the same mood like suspense was supposed to be felt the director chose the same suspense music or when there was a creepy feeling you would hear the same creepy music, and so on throughout the film.

What were you thinking? Can you not find more music? Was 8 Eyed Baby your only resource? (This is a great site but you should have more than one resource for any project).

Quality (if custom) ?? Music was great but it got very old towards the end, especially considering this was a 13 minute film. I was surprised that the director chose this cheep and poor quality route.
Effectiveness ?? This was absolutely an awful method of implementing music. I couldn??t believe it. Even bad films use different music; or if you are repeating??theme music?? then you only repeat it once or maybe (rarely) twice. This was ridiculous.

Improvement Notes ?? Find more than one source for your projects.

O V E R A L L / T I L T 4/10

Overall Quality/Description ?? I think this film had potential to go many ways and it still does but the major areas that experienced some major lacking were the reason it fell hard.
Last Improvement Notes ?? Nothing more to say here except for what I said above; be more creative, and find more sources for your projects.

TILT Factor ?? I would have to tilt away from this director more from this film. I though the film has potential and would have worked better in another director??s hands. I won??t name any because then they would get all [play nice now!]y and I don??t like that. So I??ve decided to tilt away from this film but not by a lot: average.

Final Score:
Directing: 7/20
Editing: 14/20

****MoMc Review****

There are a handful of series which I actually follow on TMO, and this is one of them. The problem with a series is that the viewer comes with certain expectations based upon the previous installments--possibly leading to disappointment (which has happened on a few occassions). I am pleased that this is not one of them.

Plot: This is one of the few TMO films which actually has an engaging plot, and not just a concept or message in pretty, padded packaging. Very refreshing. I was enraptured by the flow of events and fate of all the characters. The involvement of the Vatican was a nice touch, but I was especially appreciative of the backstory of Draco himself--adding a sympathetic and even noble quality to what otherwise would have been just another monster. --4.9

Originality: While vampire films, and vampire origin mythos, have been done before both in and out of TMO, this film offers a unique new spin on things with the introduction of mythical deities. --4.4

Execution: Fine pacing, directing and editing moved this film along enjoyably. It was over before I even realized how long it actually was. Good choice in shooting this in black and white to keep in line with the feel of the original episode, and with the classic horror genre. I did have a problem with some of the music selection which seemed too modern for this period piece--not only the soundtrack selection, but also with the woman in the shower humming "Over the Rainbow" which, as a more modern piece, pulled me out of the narrative which the filmmaker had worked so hard to establish. The weak opposition presented by the Vatican envoys also was a bit of a let down.--4.4

Effort: The filmmaker's effort is evident in all aspects of this film. From the VO's, custom black and white sets, costumes, custom music, and even the screen shots from a medieval real time strategy game, all meshed together beautifully. --4.7

Entertainment: This whole film can be defined by the word "entertainment." From start to finish it was simply delightful, filled with little twists and surprises keeping the viewer engrossed and mesmerized while the filmmaker weaved his tale. Bravo. --4.9

Overall score...4.7 rounded up to 5 stars.

Much like the original Holy Blood, this film is visually sumptuous, using black-and-white cinematography, langorous, dream-like editing, dramatic lighting and set design, and bold composition. From a cinematic perspective, this film is tremendous from the get-go -- you really know moviemaking like the back of your hand.

Unlike the original film, this film takes a much slower pace, emulating the style of an elegaic tone poem, unravelling its mysteries in an assured speed. Here we learn more of the dreaded pact Draco makes in order to attain his immortality, and the secrets that drive the vampire toward his dark quest. The plot is labrythine in this one, and it really takes the promise of the original film and kicks it up by a notch. This one is pure horror at its finest, and though at times I felt the film lasted a little longer than it needed to, the atmosphere and visuals really kept my interest. Excellent work! Can't wait to see what more Draco has in store for us. :)

Great work! I`m really happy to have participated in this! Great use of sets, great storyline, the music really pulls you in and fits perfectly! Very good work with backgrounds, I especially liked the scenes in the past and the Vatican, and the ship: that was amazing! Plus the end is open, so we can all hope there will be a third part! :-)

I was very impressed by the professional feel of this movie. Extremely well written, clever and well thought out storyline, very good use of the sets and good choice of music.
I do think you used a bit too much mist here, especially inside the castle, but that is only a trivial complaint, and other than that I had a really good time watching this movie.
The fact that you featured RonH's review shows you can take critism well...although almost every word he wrote was utter b@*%*%$@ ;-)

I have to say that this film is outstanding, but a few things weigh it down from being perfect.

The subtitles were a nice touch since some of the accents were very heavy, but when you're doing subbing make sure you use proper grammar and spelling. A lot of the time "I" was left uncapitalized and other various simple mistakes.

It also wasn't very scary. I'm not saying that's bad, but when it is placed under the "horror" genre, try to make the movie fit the genre.

Some parts were also a little too slow, but it's nothing to panic about.

The characters and sets were fantastic. I didn't like the black and white effect too much because in some of the foggier scenes it was hard to see.

All in all, it's a great movie and I'd reccomend others to watch it.

Steeped in gothic horror and swathed in mist, this is the finest horror movie I have seen on TMO.

Staying away from shocks and gore, this movie uses atmosphere and tension to build the scares.

Story: 5/5 Exciting and chilling.
Editing: 4/5 A little slow during the two priests initial arrival at the castle, but other than that a very good sense of pace and tension
Production: 5/5 Some amazing stuff in here, from scenes of horsebacked armies, to the vatican and steamer ships, alfric doesn't let TM's limitations get in his way.
Dialogue: 5/5 Cheesy hammer horror and all the better for it. Totally appropriate for the genre and very well voice acted.

This is amazing stuff!

I loved the first one, and this continues the tradition of reliving those classic black and white vampire movies that were really scary in the day. I didn't really like the voiceovers on this one, they seemed to be a bit too artificial, with not much emotion in them and it didn't seperate the characters enough giving them personality. I think editing had to be one of the best features, who knew that with such limited content in the game that you could use all these sets and make it actually work. And was that medival total war screenshots in the book that was being read? Superb idea! All the custom content was used effectively, the plot was decent if a little confusing, because the scenes flowed a little to fast in areas, so it was easy to lose track of what was going on. Music was very effective for the theme and gave the right impression.

Overall another great performance, I thought the previous was good but this outshadows it by far.

A beautiful intens horror film all along the line! Great by making this one in black & white, this preference is helping with emphasizing that terrific, ghostly and mythical atmosphere. I also liked the choice of the music. Brilliant!!!

Right from the get go it was quite obvious why this movie was a hot pick. Excellent music choices that helped give this flick an eerie vibe. The VO quality is superb (I am harsh about sound and music) this movie has everything going for it, and a plot too! I am afraid to go to sleep now this was so creepy. This is truly a movie that will set the horror standard up a notch for movie makers of this genre. Thanks for letting me know about this flick. My heart still is racing!

Oh my Goddess, what a beautiful flick!!! Black and white was the way to go, the scenery was great, the VO was excellent, the action followed the background music wonderfully, editing was top-notch...I have nothing bad to say about anything. NO holes in the storyline, plot was revealed...just the best damn flick I've seen yet!!! This one stands by itself without having seen the first Holy Blood. Outstanding movie!!

MOMC Review:

I loved the atmosphere in this movie! The use of black & white was a great choice and especially the music added to the flow of the movie. The different pieces of music really matched the scenes and underlined the mood.
The VO was very good and the brilliance of the editing lies in the fact that you don`t even notice it because scenes are edited together so fluidly.

With all the backround information and the demonstration of power against the two vatican specialists, Draco becomes a very strong character.
Overall, a great sequel to a series which has a really epic feel to it!

I really enjoyed this movie. It is well directed and the sheer amount of customization shows with how much effort it was created. Great work.
However the choice of music was off in some scenes and I really wondered what the two priests were up to. They came with no preparation und were overwhelmed so easily that I questioned myself why they bothered coming to the castle in the first place.

Apart from that I can only recommend it.

Draco the Vampyre sets out to bring his dream to fruition, but will he be thwarted at the last minute?

Good intro sequence and music. You can remove the stage shadow with KRC's shadow removal mod. Good use of black and white. Great use of backdrops (loved the RTW pictures) and establishing shots. Good use of 'theme music' for the different characters. This theme music may have been further enhanced by editing the tracks so that it did not start from the same place every time (it started to get a bit repetitive towards the end).

The VO's match the chracters well, and the sound quality is good. The subs were well timed with the voices, though sometimes this led to them being a little too fast. The only character that I felt did not match so well was the Father giving the mission briefing.

The story is well told, with the different characters and settings interspersed very well. The plot was well constructed, and the script was well written. The only thing is that the brothers were portrayed as weaklings, thus it seemed like they had no chance of victory so the tension is not so high. If, for example, the audience had seen evidence of their skill and ability earlier then the dramatic tension would be higher in the finale because it would seem like they had a chance at victory.

The characters were well presented, but generally one-dimensional. None of them really stood out from their roles to encompass unique personality traits, hopes and dreams for the future, etc. They filled their role in the story, but none of them really attracted my attention as interesting characters.

Overall, I thought this was an excellent movie with a great story. Somewhere along the line, though, I lost a bit of interest in the characters, and some repetitive scenes and music. Nevertheless, this is a great effort and I look forward to more of the series. All the best for the future.

This is what makes The Movies so special. Creative ideas are awakened and executed by not yet discovered artists. Wonderful atmosphere, great plot and a script to kill for. Some editing could use a polish and VO's have a little more to offer, especially our lead villain. The priests did a wonderful performance though. Some really neat scenes in here too. Some of the longer pictures on this site make you wanna long for the ending, this was not the case in this movie. Music, a little repetitive, and especially the killing scenes (only bites) becomes quite dull after a while. But the tremendous effort laid into the plot and lines weighs it all up, and the movie comes to life, more than once. Hoping for a sequal soon!
Feel free to watch and rate my movies, they might fall to youre taste :-)

Critics Center Review

I have finally gotte round to watching this movie, a sequel to a classic on TMO. Okay but first i must admit something, despite my prestigious five star rating for the original i do confess it was slightly underwhelming. Sure it was technically perfect and looked brilliant, but the story was lacking and at the end of it all i felt gladi i'd watched it, but cheated that i never trully knew who the characters were. Well i have no such worries in this movie, i seemed to have gotten over the character development worries and can enjoy a movie with a lack of them. But what a pleasant suprise to find you have developed some characters now, they seem more blievable, even for a Hammer Horror-esque movie. This is the movie that Holy Blood 1 really should have been scary, atmospheric, action packed, interesting and yet original. Holy Blood 1 was basically all of the above with a few minor flaws that bugged me.

So then Holy Blood 2, well it was nice to find out the origins of Draco, he was intriguing and yet menacing figure in the original, and now he remians more so with more about him explained. He seems a much better villain now mainly because of the improved VO's and atmosphere surrounding his scenes. I was also glad how you developed the story from the original, the original had a small story but yet it is not completely forgotten, this seems like an addition to the movie rather than something completely different, this is great because many sequels actually lack this feel to it. The VO's were pitch perfect, they sounded brilliant and worked brilliantly with the great dialogue. At the end of the movie i was left excited and very much pleased with this movie, it left me with a satisfied feeling and not a slightly empty one like the original did.

Okay then there are a couple of bad points i have to mention, the story at times was slightly traditional horror stupidity, as the previous reviewer mentioned the church sending in two people just seemed slightly stupid, much like the traditional don't split up in modern horror movies. Also there was a section in the middle where it seemed a bit dull in comparison with the rest of the movie, i can't be particularly specific because it was only for thirty second i felt this but it didn't seem that right.

Overall a trully brilliant sequal, like Empire Strikes Back fro Star Wars it develops the characters rather than doing a complete re-hash of the original. A masterufl piece of horror cinema, i could easily watch another one of these movies.

Reminiscent of Bela Lougasi's 40s movies... Chilling :-)

Comment: The battle scenes were screenshots from "Medieval: Total War". Looking good!

The Upside:
* The plot is 9/10th of every good story... An excellent, intriguing plot that not neccssarily puts the vampires on the "bad guy" side... Very Well
* Excellent VOs. I liked Sedna's VO in particular....Encore
* Characters are pretty well developed.
* Scenes and sets are set to chill the blood and do that remorselessly. Coupled with a Bela Lougasi's feel because of the Black and White... Oscar is just around the corner, my friend
* The MUSIC!!!

The downside:
* Despite myself I am dissapointed at the Church. Sending in two men after they know that one was far from enough? I'd send a battalion.
* You could have shortened the later bite scenes a bit (except for the specific one where Sedna bites Draco) because people get the idea and show a brief piece of the scene (the biting itself) would be enough...

Summary: Is there a next one in the making? Where do I order tickets?

Two thumbs up. Keep up the excellent job

Wah, Medieval, I love this game, it's definitley the game next to the movies I played the most time.

The story seems at the first look quiet classic but it has his own style. The same for the whole style of the movie. The grey sets and characters fit very good in the movie and make it to something special here on TMO. I like this retro-style. Sisch and those "eastern" (russian) Voices sound perfect but also the two priests sound great.
Couldn't see any terrible editing flaw.

Overall: Classic horror movie with an own original style, definitley deserves 5 stars.

A classic horror relives? Continuing on from the previous chapter in intense style and this experience was one not to be missed. You had all the right elements to draw out the perspective of this magical vampire film. Had that same unique style as the first one with superb black and white tone to suit the atmosphere to the cynical feeling towards the audience.

This second part was really drawn out more and had a lot to illustrate in the characters role and plot development. The way you portrayed this was a sensational effort and absolutely kept the eyes of the viewer engaged in this spooky feeling of a Dracula type film. And the voice overs tone was kept bleak and pessimistic and this was a very effective aspect.

But the most impressive component I found was how it continued off with a bang. The sequel did not let the predecessor down and only expanded the story line to be a dramatic and horrific experience for all to see. You really do have the skills and knowledge to apply the main principles of a true horror and you did a sensational effort here. Overall, some really good essentials involved and all of these elements had a big impact to its integrity, editing top quality and just a fantastic production throughout. Great horror alfric! A very enjoyable watch?

This was a masterpiece. I would say I like this one better then the first. The editing was great. The only thing bad about this movie was the repeating music. But its such a great beat that it doesn't really effect it that much. The VOs were great. Really really Really good movie.

Plot - 4
Good story. Good adaptation of classic films.
Editing - 5
The Editing is great. The use of scenes is great. The boat scene was a nice touch.
Originality - 3
Dracula and vanpires is a pretty popular style of film. You did add a nice little twist to it though.
Dialogue - 5
I think the accents fits the characters perfectly. I don't think this would have worked with American VOs. The VOs themselves were great, there was one spot where the VO was a little quiet, but nothing to count off for.
Evil Factor - 5
The mood to this film is great. Watching it with the lights out would add another chill down the spine. THe use of B&W makes it even better.

22 points = 5 stars

This is a great adaptation to a classic genre. I hope there is a third installment in the works?

This is rather exemplary film-making.

You have a handful of jerky cuts, especially around the priests meeting in the Vatican, and your voice overs could be better. I did instantly suspected that the Irish priest was, rather than some sort of Catholic Bishop, in fact a senior member of the IRA and your Count was a little too Traanslyvaaarnian for my taste. As another criticism, I have to say that suspense and horror are created with silence and you spent just that little bit too much time talking for the film to completely work as a horror, it's more of a bio-pic of a vampire.

That said my objections to this film are from a personal artistic perspective and shouldn't detract from what is a remarkable film, shot lovingly and appropriately in black and white. Each scene worked within itself, you made cuts in all the right places in the shower scene and the library cut-scenes worked very well.

If I had some sort of award for horror movies then I'd give it to you. But I don't.

Okay, Alfric, you've got five stars from me for the first 2:00 alone...

I was transported, enraptured, and lost in the film... lost to the television, the neighbor's music, to the borders of my monitor and I just... fell... in.

From the amazingly well-done tone of darkness and foreboding, of something unsettling just below the surface throughout, to the custom sets and obvious care put into titling and music, this film improved on the first from its opening frames.

I was very very very very pleased with the improved voicework and am absolutely a new fan of Sisch.

Others before me have mentioned the modern music (a minor distraction, but inappropriate for Hammer horror) and the portrayal of the Vatican (lapsed Catholic here), but all in all, in this medium, perfection is elusive. In no way do these quibbles detract from the overall film, which remains for me a pretty solid 5.

This is one of those films that I'll be keeping and watching again whenever I'm trying to rememeber how filming in this medium is supposed to be done. Look close, folks... this is what TMO horror can look like when executed with such desire and dedication.

Very atmosopheric. I liked the build-up and suspence of the plot. Excellent music! Sisch provided outstanding voiceovers.

I did feel that the male voiceovers, while well-done, were a little hard to distinguish one from another. Perhaps more voiceactors in the next installment will add to the cinematic experience.

Holy Blood 2 continues to follow Count Draco and the now doomed Brother John who had once sought to destroy him. This black and white homage continues with all of the elegance, style and excitement of the previous movie. The addition of the custom sets helped to capture the feel of Draco's home.

Critical areas:
Storyline/Plot: Added an extra addition to the staple storyline/plot, Well written with fairly good dialogue. The priests seemed to talk in cliche's too much for instance.
Editing: Excellent much improved from the first with the addition of custom sets. and custom music. The VO's were done well and the VA's did a very good job. The areas where it hurt was in the pacing category
Pacing: Action scenes are always a problem - the ending felt to drag on a bit which may have been improved by varying the sequences in which we saw the scenes - i.e. switching between Draco and Sedna with each priest for instance.

Overall: I am a fan of the Holy Blood series and am glad to see it has found a greater number of followers this time around. This is a very entertaining series. Full of the "classic" feel, nice stylish flair, and very good quality. The assistance of the community in producing this movie in terms of mods and music all lends to the production value and continued success of this series.

Observational critique: This is the second Holy Blood movie. I like them both and find them both exceptional works, however we have gone through two movies in the series and there is no "[play nice now!] in the armor" for the forces of evil. There are no weaknesses, no hints of being able to stop them, no close calls or close fights. In short, they never lose. Although, I would not mind living in a world full of the undead minions of Draco and Sedna, the drama will decrease over time.

A truly stunning sequel.
Visually beautiful and incredibly atmospheric.
The choice of black and white as the medium only adds to this and makes the whole thing more creepy.

The story itself is wonderfully crafted and told.
The editing and voice acting were superb and the characters just couldn't have been any better.

But the one thing I loved most about this movie was the fact that it made the movies game look fresh again...something that very few people here on TMO have even managed to achieve recently, let alone at this standard.

Awesome work all round and...

IT'S A TASTY BURGER!

Another very entertaining and quite arty film. I preferred this to the original. One thing that I think you did particularly well was to give the impression of them being in a castle, great mods used and to great effect.
On to the criticisms. Firstly I think you could have had better pacing. Towards the end in the action packed climax the atmosphere was somewhat dampened by the slow pace. The action scenes needed really concise cuts to keep the pace up and build atmosphere and tension.
The music was very good although I felt it could have been a little louder in comparison to the rest of the film. Great soundtrack though, I think I am right in thinking that one of the tracks used was also used in Blackbird.
The characters were built up nicely although I felt you underused the character of the vampiric priest, Draco had a very good characterisation though.
The voice overs were excellent considering they were only done by two people, you changed your voice very well and it was always clear who was talking, well done on that!
One final criticism. Careful not to give your actresses too many implants, the actresses breasts in that film were so huge that her arms seemed to travel through them in some animations!
Great movie, be sure to post the next one in my review thread when it's released! 5 stars!

It was definitely better than the last movie, but for some reason I wasn't entirely gripped into the story. It had a great storyline and a great calling after it, but I couldn't get completely immersed in the storyline. Maybe it's just me and vampires, but I've never really gotten into them. Anyway, great job on the movie.

A fantastic and compelling movie. It contains very strong literary and classical elements/influences. Considering the limitations of the game you have also pulled off some Coppollaesque imagery. The script is excellent, the voices fit superbly and this is pieced together seamlessly. The music is the icing on the cake. All the component parts make for a sweet and savoury delight.

Much better in technical ways than its predecessor (better editing, stunning VO's...) the best thing is the poetry inside the movie, how the horror (old-style horror), and the Draco story is developed. It's funny, it's intelligent, it's a good story. Man, this is the vampire movie I love to watch.

Well done, you've made a sequel which is better than it's predecessor. The titular character is fleshed out a lot more in this installment with the quick but helpful backstory. Your sets and choice of backdrops really worked for the best, everything looked fantastic. The V/O was perfect as was your choice of scenes. The editing was also very well done! HOLY BLOOD II again has sucked the color from our screens and left us only with black, white and bone grey. The sound track was terrific and poor Brother John in this film is cast aside as Draco's beginning unfolds. The story within a story also introduces Sedna and THAT was excellent. Creative sets and calculated prop use was often obscured by evil fog and kept me focused on the story which did not fail to please. It is no doubt the classic vampire tale but alfric has crafted it into a personal project which takes the viewer, by the throat if necessary, into this film makers shadowed world. Now, Draco is on the move. My guess is he's headed for the top of the charts where he will perch like a gargoyle and wait. CONGRATS alfric! OUTSTANDING WORK! OUTSTANDING FILM!

I absolutely loved this movie... A visual feast from beginning to end! What a pleasure it was!

You've prefectly recreated the mood and feeling of a classic vampire movie. I was totally entranced by this world, and engrossed in the story and the myth.

"The holy stench is in the air...". Loved that line... :)

**SPOILER ALERT**
Only little problem is that I felt the holy agents from Vatican were a little too weak and the confrontation was beautiful, but anticlimatic.
**END OF SPOILERS**

But that's a sidenote to all the great things achieved by the Holy Blood
series. I really hope you do enter it into MOMC - sunday is the last day! :)

"Wooah" is right! Allow me...

HOLY BLOOD II(draco the vampyre)!
A film by alfric

Storyline/Plot: 5+ Terrific storytelling continues with this intelligent sequel.
Character Coolness: 5+ Creepy characters and also charaters that influence empathy... Affective!
Sights: 5+ Outstanding use of in-game sets/scenes. Really digging the B&W here. Would not be the same without it.
Sounds: 5+ Perfect use of music with some simple and very effective SFX.
Subs or VO: Perfect. 5+ Seriously.
Fast-Forward Factor: 0
Seeming Moviemaker's Effort: 5+ It is obvious that you drew on your experience of Holy Blood1, which I loved too.. and made an even better sequel! This is not common around these parts. Congratulations on that feat acomplished.
Comments: See you at the top of the charts with this one Alfric, this Horror Really deserves it!!

Ein sehr guter Film. Zusammenhängende Geschichte und Sets gut genutzt.
Vor allem das Schwarz-Wei? und die Schlosssets haben mir gefallen.
