Film Description
The Series continues! Taking it's influences from classics such as The Maltese Falcon, Key Largo and The Big Sleep, the Noir series is a classic feature length film noir script made into a series of films suitable for TMO viewing.

With an all-star cast including Mortalitis Infinitas (Jack Banner), Dulci (Veronica Powell) & Timo666 (The Splitter), Part 2 blows Part 1 out of the water! In Part 1 Private Detective Jack Banner awoke in a deserted basement next to a dead girl but had no recollection as to how he got there. As he began his journey to find out what happened before it catches up with him, he met his next client - Mrs Veronica Powell. Now, with the information given to him by Veronica, Jack goes to visit the Splitter to find out what he can!

Thanks to all the cast for their great VO's!!

I was a big fan of your previous Noir movie and this one just continued to excite! A well thought out film with the dialogue being true to its tone in setting an unflustered atmosphere. Settings, music, and many other elements really set the mood to be emotive, true to its form. The Intro showed a lot of great structure. You??ve displayed the atmosphere to be bleak, with great use of lighting and the rain to show the pessimistic vision of this true style. Narration drove the story to high expectations, which is a vital element to film noir, and I??m pleased to say you did this superbly.

The story itself was unique. Progressed very calmly and brought a big climax to the conclusion. I felt it needed to be longer, but after thinking about it, it showed enough to keep the audience mystified. All characters were portrayed very well. The narrator (Jack) had the most significant role, and with the aid of secondary characters made this film a very suspenseful thriller. I was pleased with the outcome of this film, had me stirring through the consistency of the style.

Overall, another beautiful installment of the Noir series... The perspective was just mind, such great technique in involving the audience to step into the main characters shoes, and this was one of the most attractive element to this film. But I appreciate every person who makes a Film Noir movie as this style of film is very underrated and the beauty of it gives the natural existence of filmmaking. And your series is becoming a major feature in many noir films made yet. Great effort mate!

Like a fifty cent blue plate special the plot thickens! The dark and dangerous streets of this classic noir is populated by some great voice actors who pull out all the stops to give this film just the right tone of mystery, sex, and suspense. Mortalitis Infinitus adds hard boiled PI to his impressive resume as Jack Banner, and Dulic stretches her come hither vocal cords to new heights in a steamy interpretation of femme fatal, Veronica Powell. Timo666 is superbly slimy as the informant The Splitter.
The great story unfolds at a perfect clip and keeps the action moving like a truck with out breaks full of nitro on a slippery mountain road! Great editing and perfect use of music also enhance this fine film. I am so impressed that I gladly throw my fedora high in the air and give this film, " Noir Part 2 " the golden MGM Seal of Approval.

Just as enjoyable as the first.

I felt that the recasting of Mortalitis Infinitas was a wise decision. He did a great job as Jack Banner and Dulci did a great job as Veronica Powell. But the VOs of Splitter was too low. The narations were good just like in the original and so was the story. But again the music needed some work. It would have been better to have custom music then music from the game.

Overall it was as good as the first film but did not surpass the first.

*whistles* Now this is pretty amazing. It's sure to be a TMO classic, because of it's amazing use of features within the game and its high-quality voiceovers. Plus, it's got a classic detective film feel, and
oh-my-Lord this is old.
Why don't you have the next one up yet by now? This is a great series and I can't wait to find out what happens in the next part.

Sorry it took so long for me to get around to these... detective noir is relatively rare on TMO and you've hit the style perfectly. Couldn't understand a word Splitter said, though - too low and got drowned out by the music.

I apologize for not rating this earlier. It was pretty darn good! Big noir fan, and you do it really well. My only complaint is that it ended too soon! NEED MORE! hehe
Mort (I think) sounds like James Woods to me (which is a good thing... is there nothing Mort can't do? hehe). And Dulci is as sexy as hell, of course. One complaint was timo666's chartacter, The Splitter. Just a tad too low on volume. But nevertheless, they were all great perfomances!

Well done and continue ASAP!!!

A film noir as good as expected after having watched the first part, but the splitter's voice is not loud enough! Everything else is great, especially your voice cast and the use of music. And the storyline of course. I have said it already and I say it again: A true film noir.

Excellent! I like film noir and this pushed all the right buttons - dark mood, slow jazz, low key voicovers, twisty plot. I don't know where you are finding all the 4 star reviewers, but considering that there are 80,000 movies uploaded to TMO, I am sure that this movie is in a high enough percentile to easily deserve 5 stars!

Fairly entertaining noir, and very true to the genre and its atmosphere. Although, for this genre, I do prefer a plot that is less straightforward then going from clue to broad to another clue... A little cinematic variation could spice up this series. For example, a flashback about his brother. Admittedly I have only vague memories of Noir 1, but this episode did not intrigue me as much.

Although, still not quite worth 5-stars, this is a better movie than part 1. It seems to have a better flow to it and the story is beginning to take shape. It is pleasing on the eye and very atmospheric. Unfortunately, it was difficult to make out what the Splitter was saying which is a shame. Perhaps it had something to do with the music being too loud. Overall, the VOs were very good and the dialogue was better than in part 1. I, personally, would prefer it if each episode was slightly longer as I feel this would enable the story to flourish more.

Not a bad film, the story itself was interesteing, but nothing really spectacular. The VOs were pretty good for the most part with the exception of Splitter. I coudlnt understand him at all, his VO was way to low..or the music was too loud. 2nd the editing really needed some work. I dont like it when i hear one voice but the screen shows the other person talking, just a pet peeve of mine i guess.

It does follow the Noir style nicely, but the issues i mentioned before brought down the quality of this film. Worth a watch though.

I was torn between giving 4 or 5 stars, but than I went for the higher rating because you did it again: 30 seconds after the beginning of the movie, I was totally immersed in the cool, smoky, bittersweet film noir atmosphere. You're clearly a magician; you can evoke this feeling in the nick of time and maintain it till the very end of the movie. This is partly because of the great script and well-selected music, but Mortalitis' voice is clearly the best part. The other main characters are decent, too, though the voice of the Splitter is too quiet: you should have turned off the music during his part to make it more audible.
I can't say much about the directing: it's good, without any flaws. (Though there are some strange moments in conversations, where the camera shows one actor while the other is speaking.) The backgrounds are well selected (there's always dark, which well fits a movie called "Noir"), and the whole movie flows nicely and naturally.
My only real the complaint is the same as with Pert One: it's too short!!! AARGH! I would have enjoyed this coooooooool atmosphere, story and characters a little longer. Well, perhaps next time... :(

The second installment is even better than the first IMO. Again, with part 2 you've created a solid story in the form of an episode. It's not too short and not too long, perfect length for this chapter. I only have one complaint this time around, Splitter's V/O's were kind of low and a bit hard to hear. Other than that, great job! 5 stars, looking forward to the next chapter!

What?!... Don't stop now, man! Arr!
Well... what can I say... this is a real movie. What an ambient! Great dialogs!Really great dialogs.
It was a great delight watching this, the story goes on and the ambient gets even more present than in the first one.
Great job! Let me know when you release next part, if it goes past my radar again!!!!! :)

Good improvement (though I didn't think it was possible). Some of the dialogue was a little redundant (even for film noir) but most of it was clever and very interesting. Great work, I'm now a fan.

Beautifully edited and acting. Quite enjoyable and I can't wait for another episode. Also all the scenes had a real film noir feel - rain, dark bars, costumes, cars. Good attention to detail.

This is great...it captures the atmosphere of noir movies perfectly and episode two finishes on just the right note.

VOs where excellent, as expected from the likes of Mort, Dulci and Timo.

Editing, on the whole was fine, bar one or two scenes where the clipping could have been a little finer...no big deal though.

The one thing that does let it down is the audio...the music, whilst fitting the theme perfectly, was maybe a tad loud for a VO movie and Timo's VOs were barely audible.

That said, I enjoyed this and am looking forward to more.

The Noir tale continues as Jack hunts down the next lead.

The setting, mood, music, and atmosphere were all done very well. The script and voice of the narrator fits the character excellently, as did Veronica. The Splitter's character was good, though his voice much too soft. Try to match the images of the actors more closely with who is speaking -- several times actor A is talking while the camera is focused on actor B (unless, of course, there is a good reason to look at actor B).

Overall, I thought this was a very good movie that continues the story of the first and leaves the cliffhanger for the next.

Great movie! I like a good detective story, and this certainly is one.. nice music in keeping with the time period, and a good storyline! The voiceactors all have done a terrific job, I like Mortalitis Infinitas doing the detective, dulci sounds very sexy, and Timo does a great interpretation of the slimy Splitter! The reason for giving 4 stars is that the music is too loud, sadly I couldn`t understand half of what Timo said, and some minor editing faults. Great work! I`m looking forward to the next part!

This film struggled to avoid a 3 star rating from me.

The music was nice and in keeping with the period, but it chugged along entirely at its own pace and took no interest in what was actually happening in a scene.

The voice of Splitter was pretty much lost, though the other two voice actors were both strong performers. The editing was rather poor, especially in the office scene and camera angles made no effort to represent who was actually speaking.

Finally I found the idea that a detective wouldn't read the letter -- a task of two minutes -- before visiting the man who wrote it, to be unbelievable and a little ham-fisted in plot terms.

On the positive side you did a lot to make the film atmospheric and I'm a fan of noir.

Great story but I couldn't hear half of the movie. So I had to bust out my headphones. Then after watching it again it was really good. I had to press them against my ears but very well done. The story is very interesting. I will be here for 3 so PM me if you want a viewer when it comes out. GOOD STUFF just needed the extra kick of sound to be a 5 star.

Good movie but the problem is there is no end.
I understand that there is coming a part 3 but because it is not the whole story it is difficult to rate.
The story is good and the VO are awesome.
However the 'splitter' is a bit low volume but it's ok.
The use of music is good too.

fantastic tribute to films of this style. splitter's voice was extremely low compared to jacks in the bar room scene, that was really the only flaw I found. Not going to dock a whole star for that, considering it may have been an export flaw. but was distracting, making it hard to get completely immersed into this creative world.

Another great chapter in the Noir series. There were a few more problems in this one though, but not with the story. The plot stays true to the Noir era with the characters getting more and more three-dimensional as the series goes. The editing isn't much better, but isn't much worse either. It's actually a few of the VO moments that brought down this rating. There were more than a few points when I completely lost what The Splitter was saying. Also, Jack's voice goes so low a few times you have to fill in the blank between a few of this sentences. Other than that, another classic noir film in the books with a sweet yet bitter storyline thickening smoothly.

02 REVIEW

I suppose, technically i am really not the best person to judge this movie. I haven't seen the first one and so can't comment on the quality of the two movies compared to eachother. But what i can safely say is that this movie is a bit too short and is actually lacking on much plot revealed. But what this movie does have is a very good looking plot, i got most of what i needed 2 understand this from ur Public Profile, and some very nifty dialogue scenes.

I liked the fact that this a Film Noir, admiteddly very few ppl hv done one that can even be remotely percieved as good Online. But this one comes pretty damn close, even if it does not amange to do it ll the way. I realyl loved ur VO's and dialogue, my only moan about that dialogue is the fact that The Splitter's VO sounded very faint and quiet. But what i did manage to hear sounded very good and impressive.

However despite the movies greatness in technical details and really gr8 dialogue, it doesn't really do much. It's like a beast that's caught on its leash. It goes so far then suddenly stops leaving the movie seeming a little bit empty at times. I am certain that the plot will pick up in pace for the next instalment, i am also certain that more is yet 2 come and boy with this as a set up i cannot wait 4 it. 4 ur next instalment just give away a tiny more and make it possibly a bit longer. But a gr8 movie nonetheless.

Good editing, great VO (with a minor fail in the volume on Splitter VO...), and good continuation. This chapter is better than the first... But I think this is short. In fact, nothing happens. And also, I think you need to personalize a bit your work. Too many movies like this we can see yet on TMO.

A very good movie reminiscent of a nostalgic time in movie making. Well crafted scenes with a great voice cast. Shot with a good flair for cinematic noir.

Critical areas:
Editing: Well done. Good use of music and vo's
Plot/Storyline: A good episode for the continuation and installment of a series. As a stand alone, it doesn't have enough in it for me to make it over the bubble. It is well done , well shot , no flaws but short on story. My personal opinion - but I think it would have a much stronger impact by combining two of the 4 min episodes and releasing an 8 min film next time.

I really enjoyed this Siddus, I am going to watch the first part now. And will be looking for the "Noir 3" as well. Top voicecast although to me it started out kind of quiet but got better as time went on, some of the scenes here were kind of dark, but I am sure as hell not going to be your first four star review. Ha ha, that said. Great flick!
