Film Description
By the time Global Warming was taken seriously, it was too late.
Intense heat and drought caused massive fires, that burned entire cities.
Soon the Polar Ice Caps began to melt.
As the worlds land mass slipped into the Ocean, the surviving population was pushed to higher ground.
Overcrowding became an epidemic.
Massive skyscrapers were built to house the population.
Each tiny apartment required to be shared.
Half of the household members were given a Day Pass, that would allow them out during the day.
The other half given, a Night Pass.

An original futuristic thriller from the maker of King Kong 1940 and 1941

Foggytown movie Quote ON:

"Well, well, well, what have we here? One StevenKreg without a banana, if not this, tell me what's cliche..."

What can I say, that won't be taken as praise, because I worked on the project through VOs?
It's great? - Hey, you have to say that, you do VO!
The music is lovely? - Hey, you just say this, cause of you VO!
The editing is exceptional? - You're part of this, just praise!
The plot is the most original, I've ever seen here? - Bootlicker!

Well, all of this can be said by anyone who hasn't worked with StevenKreg here and wil be taken as fact. So, just imagine, I'm not FoDooG, I'm just the next guy, tuning in on TMO and say:

This movie has the most original plot, I'v seen so far on TMO. It is well developed and flows as wonderful as FoDooG Films is. Characters I really cared for, combined with a compelling and clever editing, that makes it look soooo easy to create a great movie with the game. Outstanding Voice acting, and a memorable cast! Only StevenKreg and the mysterious monkey-aura around him can achieve such a blockbuster.

If King Kong made #1 for it's SFX, NightPass should be elevated to #1 just for his plot.

StevenKreg is back. And it seems, he was never away.

5 stars from the jealous horse and its four guys on the continuing quest for insanity.

1000 Yard Stare is thinking of starting a petition to add an extra star to the review system, just for offerings like StevenKreg's "Night Pass".

Engrossing, intriguing, impressive, amazing, this film has us reaching for our thesauri to find new and imaginative ways to say "oooohhh" and "aaaahhh". Where do we begin to get specific on such all-round goodness?

Let's start with the visually obvious, since it's so damned easy to find high points here. Set design, backdrops (crystalline and bright, whether neon or sunshine), costuming, and the most innovative use of a tattoo we've ever seen. Mentioning the tattoos on a news program discussion of whether they might hasten anti-gang representation laws...? Brilliant! Talk about a seemingly trivial but actually stunningly important tiny little detail. Steven, attention to this kind of detail deserves gold and silver and diamonds and pearls.

Plot - outstanding, and a fine new twist on an old theme that makes Steven's work stand out in the crowd. Whatever the influences (and there are several - just for fun, watch it again and see if you can list them all), this film still shines. What a great story overall, AND exploration of "us and them", a timely and relevant theme for discussion today.

Pacing, tone, structure - Capturing the "difference between night and day" isn't as easy as it might sound, but "Night Pass" does it with detail and clarity. The two worlds colliding, as well as the moving story of a love denied and reclaimed under the most devious circumstances, were a steadily building and engrossing thrill from start to finish.

Music - Outstanding, and well-suited to each scene. Minor quibbles with music occasionally drowning dialogue and some abrupt cutoffs, but we all know that the uploading process is an inexact science and that Sh*t Happens. No major loss and not a knock against the entirety of the film at all.

This one is right up there fighting tooth and nail with "The Afflicted" for the top spot on our list of brilliantly crafted and executed "possible future" films, and that is high praise.

StevenKreg, you're a treat and an example for every TMO filmmaker.

Film on, fellow createaholic, please, please, please, film on.

Incredible! Of course better than the first part. "Repression only works to strengthen, and knit the repressed." It's a message that I found from Steinback's novel "THE GRAPES OF WRATH." The migrants were mistreated and there was no government interference. The westerners called them "OKIES" and policemen gave the migrants a hard time. What did the migrants do? They revolted. "Man's inhumanity to Man."

It's American History, told through a different and original story. Whoever wrote this, I bow to them. Also, the people who helped with this production, well done! Truly a masterpiece and MY FAVORITE FILM on TMO.

Nothing more than I can say other than, it's going to be hard to top this movie. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT. EVERY SINGLE SECOND.

Well what can I say??
Before I saw either part of the film I knew that it was going to be a great film, we are working with the same person that broke the boundaries of The Movies to make an amazing King Kong series, it must be pretty good!

Boy was I wrong this film is no way great??????????..ITS FRIKIN INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Firstly we have the story line, now not only was this one of the most in depth and cleverly thought out story lines on TMO, it was also some of the best scene placements on TMO! The story had me in depth from the second it started; you had gripped me with an intricate narration that made me so intrigued about what was going to happen next I could not stop. So you had a good beginning that had me hooked for a minute or two I knew you wouldn??t keep it up! Yet again Steven proved me wrong (you like doing that, don??t you) and I stayed clued to my seat for the whole 25min (explaining why I have only reviewed the second part) Each scene had been precisely picked out to make an amazing story that would be good enough for a program on TV!

Secondly we have the Voice Overs, this had an all star cast and everyone sounded awesome! They each fitted their character perfectly and all showed emotion. Everyone was clear and easy to understand, If I had to pick a worst VO it would have been mine! The music was fantastic and sounded brilliant as well as fitted into place like a jigsaw, well done on that!

Thirdly comes the editing and special effects, after making some amazing special effects on King Kong this movie was no exception! The city backdrops and modded sets were beautifully crafted, and I must say that you worked wonders with the set dressing. The TV special effect, although not 100% necessary seem to make all that difference, very nicely done! Every scene was cut at the exact right place and as I said, went together like milk and cookies!

All that is left to say is that this deserves to be a TV program and that it is a cinematic piece of art!

Congratulations Steven on making an unbelievable film, looking forward to your next,

VS

After I watched this movie I sat down and watched a few others. Now, most of them were movies that I had been looking forward to - saving them up for a time when I had perhaps half an hour to spare. They were all disappointing. And no, it wasn't because they were poorly edited, or badly scripted. It wasn't even because I was sober...
No, the reason that I found them all pretty disappointing was because of this film. So tightly scripted, and so brilliantly edited, and with such creativeness and use of initiative to create new skins, props, backgrounds, etc. It has VOs that sound like they were done professionally, one of the most gripping and absorbing plots I have ever come across, it even has impressive ending credits! It has totally ruined my enjoyment of other less masterly films not touched by your genius simply by being a movie of the highest order. I will never be able to watch another chart topper without referring back to this genius. And for that, I lavish these commendations on you, and thankyou for a gripping 25 minutes.

Ah, la revolution ! Great continuation, a few surprises at the end. I take it as a minor point that you had to explain the proceedings at the end, but that's just the way the story was build. Time did indeed fly, the story soaks you in once again. The visuals were at par with the first part, the music a tad to loud in places. Great building of tension and this only by dialogue, kudos to you ! Brilliant movie from a brilliant movie maker :)

From Critic's Corner hosts Jeremiah and Dr. Googlestien
Well it was a very smart sci-fi movie no doubt. It's definently a step up from the King Kong series. Alot of inside and outside work on this one. It's the biggest and largest cast ever essembled for a movie. StevenKreg this movie lived up to the hype as it came out very good. You're such a good natural filmmaker and keep that up man. You deserve some type of oppurtunity to make real movies or tv shows. No one else on here has the talent to make a movie like this. Is one of the best in TMO history. We really liked all of the scenes where the heat affected the skin of people and how hot it was. We are still left questioning the day pass subject. Great work on this. It's one of if not the best sci-fi movie we've ever seen. Some of the best backdrops in history. We really liked the part with the tv and how it turned on. Nice setting and 100% storyline. Those things factor into a great movie. The torch has now been passed to you as the best filmmaker on TMO. Amazing special effects and top notch VOs and dialogue with it. Night Pass is going to go on and get our prestigious five star golden performance. An achievement everyone wants from Critic's Corner. No doubt the movie together is a hit. No mistakes in this one StevenKreg. This is a movie if you want to make movies on TMO you have to watch a StevenKreg movie. We like the hard outside work put into it and it's well edited. You spent alot of time on it and that's what counts for the final product. We can't wait to see more of the Night Pass. This a GENRE10 must see film! If you have seen Night Pass you haven't seen anything.

I'll make it short: One of these movies you wish they would never end. Like part 1 a superb story that didn't need any big action moments. I enjoyed every single second of it. The 14 minutes vanished in no time. Congrats man, that should be on top of the charts!

Will there be a third part sometime? I really hope so!!!

This movie was excellent, 5 stars! I can't imagine a better movie on all of TMO! When you did the TV program, I thought that was fantastic. I've never seen something like that before. Also, I never expected her to be helping him secretly the whole time. You've done an unmatched job with this StevenKreg. Can't wait for your next epic!

The only thing I'm going to add to my previous comments on part one is...why on earth is this astonishing sci-fi thriller not at the top of the charts?

The attention to detail in every single aspect is immaculate and the tense and gripping story makes you totally forget that this was made using a game.

This truly is movie making at its absolute finest and I really can't recommend it enough.
Astounding.

Once again an excellent movie. The plot, characters, backdrop work and music are once again top notch.
I really liked the way you dressed the sets to make a near future atmosphere.
The editing is once agaoin of excellent quality. The only thing that I personnaly rework a bit is the conversation between June, Logan and Anna.

Congratulations for an very good film!
If you ever feel the need to revisit this world (I think it's a very rich world and that many stories can be told about it) I'm sure everyone will gladly follow you there.

It's been a long time in coming, but I have finally processed the entire being of Night Pass, and I can say without any hesitation that it is unquestionably my favorite film on TMO. Everything strikes the right chord -- the editing, the set design, the special FX, the tremendous VO acting (how did you juggle so many actors so well?). However, it is the writing in this film that really divides TMO between this and everything else. You're "raising the bar," so to speak, but doing so without pulling our noses into the dirt. First class movie making -- great job.

I wish I could have a dollar for every ounce of love I have for this film.

This movie was ridiculously good and easily the best movie i have seen on the charts. And to tell the truth i think you add an hour of stuff and you could make a movie on this. Here I go reviewing it again. Okie dokie, I love this Movie. A lot. A whole lot. This is tied with "The Afflicted" as my favorite Movie. And please don't think it's because I'm the lead in these movies. I didn't get the entire script for this so watching was a surprise. It had been a long time since I had gotten the lines and I didn't even remember what I'd said. Okay, that's out of the way. The story is really compelling. I can't imagine living in a world like that. All the technicalities were good, and I really liked the music. Wonderful Movie. Now to copy and paste this into Part 2 because I'm lazy and have already seen both parts.

Rating this movie after watching both parts.
Blown Away.!!!!!!
First of all i do not see the point of rating each aspect of this movie on a scale of 10 because i would just give it 10 out of 10 for everything.
OMG this is the best movie i have ever seen on TMO.It even rates within the list of my real movies, definately one to download and show all.
You have talent and i thank you for showing us this movie.Seriously i do not see a movie beating this.I really hope this movie goes to number one.
I would have never thought a movie can be so good on TMO,but i was mistaken after watching this one.Once agin i cannot let this film go.The music gave it that futuristic feel to it.I really felt as if i was sitting in a cinema and watching this movie. The editing oh my let's don't go there it was the best ever. The voice over's -- Out of this world.I thank everyone who took part in this movie coz you really have shown what you can achieve with this game.Voice Over's going with what must be the best dialogue out there was the best. You can tell this movie is my best as you can look through my other reviews and see they are not normally this long.
I was really impressed how you did the news broadcast from the TV.Never have i seen that on any movie on here and also how you had futuristic elements in this movie.
I wish i had popcorn watching this movie, but still this movie was made so well i suppose i did not need popcorn.
I bow down to the best movie on TMO.

Where do I begin...WOW!! This film is just amazing...never before matched! The attention to detail in every respect is just brilliant! The set dressing is amazing. The way you made one set into two was just...wow! That was amazing. The VOs in this movie - Unimaginable...sounded just like real actors/actresses! The key thing in this movie was the suspense! You kept me guessing throughout the whole movie, and whenever I thought I knew something was going to happen, you shot me down and I thank you for that! The VOs were only hard to hear in one part around the 10 minute mark of Part 2, where the music gets loud as Mr. Leader is speaking to Logan. No marks off there, as the VOs were unequalled! Just brilliant! I was totally indulged in this film from the start of part 1 to the end of part 2...even as I was switching movies I was guessing what was going to happen! Just brilliant! But enough of that, here's *The Breakdown*:
Originality: 10/10
Plot/Story: 10/10
Editing: 10/10
Subs/VOs: 10/10
WOW ME: WOW WOW WOW!!! 10/10
Total: PERFECT 50/50
Congrats on a perfect score, and I can't wait to see more...can you check ou- just kidding I don't do that !

I know i've seen something special when i have to stop and think before i write anything down. I watched pt1 hoping to be wowed in pt2.....and i was to a certain degree...This is an excellent movie...no doubt about it...

The story in part two unfolds with a little more action and twists of betrayal, which was helped by the fine music choices (which i found too loud in some parts again). The atmosphere was perfect for a bleek future of social unrest. The Characters dialogue was well written and acted for the most part.

Congrats! This is truly a phenomenal piece!!!

I do have some critiques by the way...Again i found the music while great needed to be softened in the dialogue scenes.....and i found the ending interresting and the way it was shot brilliant...but would have loved to see an Orwellian 1984 type of ending where the status quo...remains....two societies still divided......but that's how i would end it...but you're the director and it was still an entertaining ending.....

Those are the thoughts of the collective minds of 6-hm....

NightPass is a brilliant piece of cinematography set in the near future where the world confronts the dual problems of environmental disaster and human overcrowding.

Concept - 10 - The concept and script are excellent. I really appreciate small details, like the trailing news stories, which make the world seem 'bigger' than what we actually see on the screen.
Direction - 9 - Excellent throughout, good use of costumes to differenciate the daytimers and nighttimers, good music, good pacing and use of flashback.
Production - 9 - Excellent throughout, good use of set dressing to (re)use sets in interesting ways. One minor flaw was when Logan is driving in his car the height of the buildings in the background make it look like he is flying.
Character - 10 - All the characters are well presented and believable, each acting according to their own personalities rather than just being placeholders for the plot. Excellent work. The VO's were great, though there was a soft persistent hiss in the background of many of them (notably Logan). Congratulations to all the voice actors.

Overall, I thought the movie was excellent throughout, from concept to execution, and used the sci-fi setting as the backdrop for a compelling story filled with great characters. All the best for the future.

Wow, no waiting for part 2, that's an innovation right there, to top the great storytelling, prop use, custom textures everywhere. This does what movies should, transport you to another world. Wonderful, wonderful job.

Originality : 10/10
How did you come up with this idea anyway ? It's damn well thoughtout and it's impressive how someone can come up with something this complex and futuristic. It is pretty much based on the apocalypse but it shows us the perspective of how the people experience this.

Plot/Sory : 10/10
Same as for the originality, very well thoughtout, futuristic, complex and much more...You must have been walking around with this project for some time...

Subtitles/VO's : 10/10
Well, with an all-star cast like the one for Night Pass (including myself), it's hard to screw up the VO's. A perfect 10 for some perfect VO's and voice actors.

Editing : 10/10
You are problably one of the most talented directors here at TMO. The scenes all match perfectly and it is obvious that you spend a lot of time experimenting and trying to find the right scenes. Also a great job by kaipan on those custom credits. Great job on the "I-Robot" thing (lights, television, lights out).

"Wow ME Effect" : 10/10
To me there are two kind of movie here on TMO : the ones that blow me away and ther ones that don't. This one didn't blow me away, it blasted me away !
Fantastic job and I'm very much looking forward to your next project !

OVERALL : 50/50 +4 I have reviewed at least 200 movies on TMO and I can tell you, this one was the best ! Can we expect a sequel for Night Pass ?

Very good!

Once again, excellent editing and VOs.

I do have to admit something though. The last 5 or 4 minutes confused me badly.

Still a great movie though.

This series opened in the way only a masterpiece does. This part closed in the way that only a masterpiece does. And it was like a masterpiece in the middle too.

The only word I can use to describe this is: MASTERPIECE.

One of the most riveting stories I've seen on TMO. It felt like I was sitting in a real life movie theatre. The talent the community saw with King Kong was just the beginning - we now see that this director is definetely much more than a one-hit wonder! There is depth and feeling to this movie that is rarely achieved on TMO. I'm deeply impressed. Dulcilicious of course.

Night Pass is the soon to be BEST movie on TMO.
Excellent custom props and backdrops, spectacular voice overs, a cast worth Millions!
Everybody on TMO knows that StevenKreg is possibly the best moviemaker here on TMO, and he is highly respected, so obviously, when he makes movies, there are very high expectations. We finished watching this movie, speechless, this truly was a masterpiece.
Both parts of Night Pass are better than each other, impossible to choose between them.
This is truly excellent!
The excellence of this movie is indescribable, truly a work of art.
One of the best scripts/storyline on TMO, spectacular scene selection and editing, this movie truly is going to surpass The king kong series in every single aspect. The return of StevenKreg! Finally, he's back, and he's even BETTER than before (which is quite hard actually..). We cannot wait until your next movie, and until then, your movie will without a doubt cling its claws onto the charts, and will not release from the charts until the debut/release of your next film.
Remarkable movie, would deserve 10 stars in our opinion, but since we can't give you that, we will tell you this has been Nominated for Best Movie, Best Script, Best Customized Backdrops, props, sets, Best Sci-Fi movie, Best Cast, and finally, Best Voice Overs.
Nominated for six different awards in our WCP awards ceremony on March 31st (on the your movies forum), Night Pass, and Night Pass Part Two will definitely come out with a couple of awards!
StevenKreg studio will probably leave our awards ceremony with the Most Awards!
Brilliant film!

Sweet job! The editing was solid dead on and once again a great performance by everybody (Not just tooting my own horn there ;) ). The story was a bit to hard to follow and a bit abrut at some points, but otherwise it was a fantastic movie that was a joy to watch and well worth the wait. Only problem was sometimes the music was a bit to loud and made the VO hard to hear, but otherwise great work my mahn!

VS

Very nice film, editing is the main plus of this movie. There are only few productions here that have so much work put into set dressing and modification. I like that very much and find it very refreshing. The plot is kind a predictible, but told in a good way,it kept me away from the "stop" button. The music is well chosen (altough too loud in the office scene).

Awesome movie again StevenKreg, every aspect well thought out and put together. As I said in the first part I will not patronize you with a full review just use my impressions and judgment.

Is this the best movie on TMO, good question it is definitely a top 5, for me it is just shaded by "Blackbird" but still my second favorite.

Excellent work - 5 stars.

Yeah, Great! :( Now I have to copy my review! :p

z007gg - - Best movie I have had the pleasure to review! You did an awesome job! A great job to the cast and crew too, and to Mort, good job on the music! My favorite part was the flashback at the end! Great story, and plot twist! Great effects too! All my sentences end with! This is actually my highest sci-fi review I have ever given! Any way to wrap it up, Thanks for the amazing movie!

z007gg gives Night Pass a 10 out of 10!
