Film Description
A tale of a man with a coffin's worth of revenge he's ready to deal out to the three men who doublecrossed him and his brother.

What kind of revenge does the coffin hold?

Featuring:
* Custom Titles
* Some music editing
* Some custom Sfx
* Special guest star Nunberry as the Coffin

This movie is influenced by alot of different sources. The main ones being spaghetti westerns and samurai films. I also got inspiration from comic books and various occult and religious texts and sources although this will be more apparent in later installments.

ssSkreeee~pow! That was some high-wire-tension thriller in the desert of the calibre that can only be read on the side of a bullet! Wherever could this be going; a sequel, trilogy or just shoved on the back of the shelf to collect dust . . . i wonder?

Originality----------: Very original, I have not seen a film done in this way.

Technical Merit------: Your editting was spot on, and your use of costumes, sets, backdrops, and scene choice was excellent.

Character Development: You paid a lot of attention to this aspect, not many do. You gave reasons for the characters actions and included a backstory, with action scenes, to further enhance the plot.

Plot/Stoy------------: Detailing why a character is doing what they are doing greatly helps to move a story forward. Your adding of that simple line referring to the main charactters Grandmother was a nice touch, and explained what was going on without the need for a lengthy dialogue.

Entertainment Value--: Highly entertaining.

Thoughts and comments: Well done, I would highly recommend this film.

I think I've just found the Robert Rodriguez of TMO! Very cool and atmospheric, great use of props, backdrops and sets and just outright...COOL!
Great work.

While I'm disappointed that you've had to dumb it down a little from the original, so the opening especially loses a bit of it's inherent coolness, over-all it's much more coherent this way. Some great stylistic touches - the sepia freeze frame at the end, the flashback transition, Jack Palance turning up as Santos was a pleasant surprise. Still the best gangster western on the site and I can't wait for part 2!

A man hunts down the men responsible for his brother's death, and for the attempt on his own life. I had a hard time picking the time period, as the props, costumes, and hair styles did not seem to match. Good use of the flashback with an appropriate music change, though the flashback overall was perhaps a little long. Overall, the plot and characters were fair enough and quite original, though the plot did not really grab my interest. All the best for the future.

A stylish and well-structured movie, kept me interested throughout! Very much akin to Tarantino in spirit. "6 million is easier to split 3 ways than 5" is hillarious, but not true! ;)

Enjoyed it a lot. Maybe it was inevitable that the attention on the meaning of the coffin itself would be a bit disappointing, but the way you made it a focus in the earlier scenes was very intriguing and effective.

Lovely story. It??s a satisfactory revenge with poetic justice.

While watching movies on the TMO it would seem that it often rains in the desert, but why complain of the use of the unusual.

Brilliant. Nunberry is the most stellar actor I have ever seen. He's a master of minimalist style.

Very well produced a good story. the only prblem was the action seemed a little flat at times it didden't quite have the power it could have had maybe due to the music. at times some of the scenes seemed over long. but very well made movie allt he same, i like'd the concept.

A well executed revenge story. It had a certain style to it. Loved the custom BD. The only thing that was a bit off, was that zombie thing...But other than that great film. I'll be waiting for the next in the series :)

What a great start to a revenge series (or shall I say sequels?) The editing was done excellent here and the use of subtitles seem to be not a distraction here and the pace was good. The storyline (or shall I say prologue) was very good and I liked the backstory of how his brother died and why. Overall, an excellent start to looks like something quite action-packed and you kept me guessing what was inside that coffin! Great work!

VERY well made. A mixture of Western, Action and Horror. I wait for the sequel and the "use" of Jack Palance is a nice touch in particular for me who loves old Spaghetti Westerns!

Ingeniusly edited, well crafted, well thought out movie.
At first, we had low expectations, but as the movie progressed we began to feel caught onto the movie, never pausing or fast forwarding at a single moment. A great plot, and a good use of props. The movie is a thriller that we felt is something we don't feel often. A true action movie, something we dont see much, you haven't gone wrong with this one. We recommend this to ALL TMO viewers, it is a true gem.

It has been nominated for Best Action movie, and Best Props for our WCP Competition/awards ceremony, to be held on March 12th on the Your movies forum.

This is an action must see.

You really captured a feel and style in this movie, a sense of it's own world. I could pick a few technical, practical faults but I dont think they are enough to detract from it's positive all round aura. I cant put my finger on what exactly it is you got so right (means I cant steal it!) but get it right you did.
Really enjoyed this and hope it continues in the same style.
Good movie.

Style to the max!
Reminiscent of Kill Bill but done in your own unique style.
Even the portions of the movie which had no dialogue were interesting;a testament to great editing and storytelling.Nice touch with the custom scenes, added alot of flare to the package.
Great use of sounds(bonecrunch)hah!love that.
Looking forward to the sequel...

Great job
I have liked it.
The beginning is very strong and appealing.
You done a mervelous job on the editing and transitions.
The coffin scenes caught me.
Saddly at end when the revenge get out of coffin, it is less strong, scenes not have same power, more conventional and a dark music would have added to the thrill.
But over all a movie that caught me. I really want to see the sequel.
Naspuss.

Great! No flaws at all from what I could see. A movie that oozes quality and effort, right down to the work done on the actors in Star Maker. If you didn't give this 5 stars then you didn't watch it properly!

From now on I'm stea.. *cough* borrowing Satansmunchkin rating format.

Originality - 10 - Great idea. Zombie revenge, what more can you ask?
Plot/story - 9.5 - Excellent work, nice flashback transition. Best action I've seen in a movie thus far.. apart from maybe that one with the robots in.. but ever also ever so slightly marked down for the
Sound & Music - 8.5 - Faultless but a shame it missed voice acting or narration. Though the titles were nicely done!
Editing - 10 - Cut together seemlessly!
"The mark out of 10 thats different to everyone else but really just the same" aka "I really didnt want to carry on watching this but did because I like to finish what I started factor" - 10 (10 being I didn't at any time want to turn it off!)

Holy crap! You did it! :o

Originality - 10 - A good idea for this film!
Plot/story - 9 - The middle section really grows the story well here, i assume you learn more as the series progresses i can't wait to see the next one!
Dialogue - 9 - This was fantastic. well paced dialogue, the only snag was some of the subs flashed past a little quickly for me to read them! :o
Editing - 10 - You made a stylish film with this one, the start was very interesting I LOVED the wind noise, The middle and the very End were so well edited! Improvement? I'd say this is a vast improvement!
"wow factor" - 10 - I really really liked this, very surreal, yet gripping!

Overall - 48 - 5* Do my eyes decieve me!? A 48!!! Yikes, i must have liked it ... top o' the chart here you come ...

Great entertaining movie!

I only one small critique:
In the Start sequence, the back and forth cuts to the window are very distracting and quite unnecessary you should have cut them out...

Falling somewhere between Robert Rodriguez and Alex Cox (google him - I can't be bothered explaining..) this is a true original that carves out it's own niche and squats there defiantly, daring you to criticise. There's an interesting blend of genres here, and the remarkable thing is that it ties them all together so well. The combat maybe feels a shate protracted for my liking, but that's more a fault with the stock scenes available. It might have lost a star for that, but as the next episode is cales 'Danse Macabre' and I've used that music in one of my animations, I'll let you off;)

Quite a change from the first version! I thought the battle scene went a bit long and detracted from the flow of the story. I'm enjoying the plot though and am very curious to see where it's going. I expect the next part will be worth full marks.

Refreshing revenge movie. Remember me a little to kill bill jejej The editing is perfect, and the atmosfear you obtained is really good. The Vietnam story is ok, and the music, remembered the Vietcong game a lot! but the way how the other members of squad treason the brothers is little confusing to me. And, well, without VO I can't rate a movie 5 stars, you know.
