Film Description
The third and edgiest movie from Cliffside Films.

If you have ever phoned Dell Customer Technical Support, you will find this to be a hilarious representation of their service.

P.S. Up until recently, all Dell Canada technical calls were directed to offices in India.

Also, I had nothing to do with the phone that appeared on the desk. It appeared automatically and I couldn't get rid of it.

I would give this 10 stars if I could. I just got off the phone with Dell and guess what "Yadamabh" told me? He told me to REINSTALL WINDOWS....GAH. Anyway, your representation was perfect. I am born anew in your genius! Still laughing....Great work!

Dude, that is awesome. Loved the whole thing. It should definitely be at the top of the charts. You should see my "The American Sitcom" series on my studio profile. It may not be as good as this, but you should really give it a looksie. I also am the only one doing voiceovers.

This is exactly what happened to me a number of times. I live in the UK and the calls are still redirected to India. But it's not just Dell that do this, almost every computing service help-line redirects their calls to somewhere else accross the globe (but it is usually India). Anyways, what a perfect mirror image of life on the support line. 5 Stars for everything!

Sorry... But these 2 3/4 minutes felt like 10 minutes to me. Nothing very interesting here, even considering it's an oldie.

To DaVoS888, he couldn't have put custom music on because it would probably get kicked off the site. Even though other movies haven't, I wouldn't take the risk. AWESOME MOVIE!

Here is my extensive review:

Story/Plot: 9/10 - That was a good story. It was well structured, well thought out, and well executed. It was really funny as well.

Originality: 9/10 - It was a fresh idea as well. A big company like Dell that makees mistakes like that has been begging for a movie on TMO to take the p**s out of them, and you were the first one to do that, and you did it well.

Dialouge: 9/10 - The voice overs were basically perfect. The only little moan that I can have with this section is that subtitles could have helped. But don't worry.

Editing: 7/10 - The voice overs were great, but that was basically all you did on the editing front. Custom music would have been nice to hear.

'Wow' Factor: 10/10 - Yeap, that is a movie that sure deserves watching. Are you sure that it's not in the top 100?

Overall Score: 44/50, 4 stars - Oh, so close to a perfect five. Custom music and subtitles would easily make this a 5-star movie in my book anyday. You should be proud of yourself here. Well done.

HILARIOUS! A great example of telephone companies, using humour to make your complaints, which is the best way to do it! :)However, it is unfortuanetly not the funniest movie around, so I could not give it 5 stars, and there was the odd editing problem also. But overall a great movie well worthy of 4 stars!

"I hate Dell", lol! That was funny and (probably) true? I haven't had anything to do with Dell but I've experienced this kind of problems at other service-hotlines so I know pretty well how you feel in a situation like this...5 stars for this one!

If you like, have a look at my studiopage and watch one of my movies!

As a Dell employee, I am offended, and as soon as I'm done with my ba ba ganoosh, I'm going to make a movie about red headed guys who part there hair...

Maybe you watch "Danly European Detective ep 1" or "Ghost Crapper"

That was a very amusing movie. I felt the frustration. The only reason I don't give you five stars is because I felt it needed a few more 'gags' Great fun though.

This movie is hilarious. I know how it feels to call up Dell when I need customer service for that Dell in my brother's room. It's like trying to talk to someone with Down Syndrome ... it puts your patience and tolerance-level to the test of time. I remembered when Dell wasn't like this ten years ago when I owned a Dell Dimension XPS 233 Mhz P2 machine. They actually had people who knew better back then.

But enough with bashing Dell and on to the movie review.

I thought it was an excellent comical representation of their customer service support line. I know how it feels to hit that "Format C:/" button ... it's not pretty. Although I have not had the opportunity to be told to do that; I would expect to be told that if the situation gets too complicated or if the service rep can't stand talking to you anymore and wants to give you an "end-all" solution to the problem. It's actually funny that the representative knows about virus software but doesn't tell the customer about it.

However, I did notice one problem ... at 0:20, I noticed a telephone magically appear on the side of the computer. I thought it was odd. Especially that the phone the customer uses sits on a cabinet.

The ending, I thought, would have been better if the guy was running around the house and screaming at the same time instead of just screaming. The impact of his anger would carry more weight, yet still be comical.

Aside from that, I thought this movie was rather enjoyable and I can't stop laughing because it reminds me why I choose not to buy another Dell computer. Great work!

A very accurate representation of what it's like to call pretty much any Tech Support line. Although y'know if you get screwed around by hardware guys for software problems then it's your own fault:)
Bumped from 3 to 4 stars because I've been in contact with a lot of hardware support numbers recently and am feeling the pain all over again.

Very good. 1 star off for being slightly rascist though. About the secret window, I did not claim the movie series as my own and in the other two parts I did mention how it was a remake of the book. You should always look at the previous two parts before putting down a review like that. DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN OR YOU WILL BE REPORTED! In most of my advertisements I also told of how it was a remake. Also don't most people know about Secret Window anyway!? They've even made a dam movie on it like 2 years ago! I can't believe the ignorance of some people on this site! You will not destroy someones movie in the future with a 1 star rating like that unless there is no mention of it being a remake in the last two segments! DO YOU HEAR! Rascist freak.

Working in support myself, I have to say I completely identified with the unnamed technician - I am sooooo sick of idiots calling a hardware support line so we can dig them out of the software hole they've fallen into, or to help them delete all the links to the dodgy websites they frequent before their mother gets home. Damn right you should reinstall windows!
Anyway, while the story was poor, the voice acting was pretty well done - very good accent for the support rep, and the mannerisms were bang on. However, given this is supposed to be a humorous piece, there's not a lot of laughs. It says something when the funniest bit is the lip-synching at the end. Still, it stays on message and I do know guys who take smokebreaks in the middle of support calls... scrapes a 3.

I have to rate this five stars - as one who used to work in Technical Support (not for Dell) before it was all outsourced to India, this gives me a real laugh. The Indian outsourcers were given a sheet which pretty much said this for every known problem...including the power on switch was dead...
Install your recovery disks....and dat iz what you must do yes, thank you for calling.

I would have given a 5 star rating just for the description. It is nice to see that someone else has also had to deal with this problem. Altough I can't be too mad at Dell, it is their lack of costumer support that forced me to become so great with repairing and fixing problems on my computer.
