Film Description
This is my first attempt at making a full movie... There are a couple of mistakes sprinkled throughout and while there is a lack of voice overs, these SHOULD be added later...

This is a short retelling of the classic Werewolf theme with a few minor comedic moments thrown in.

Apart from the blantantly obvious continuity problem... I was wondering if anyone knows how to make a shot thats complete darkness?? I want the final fade to black to last longer but i dont know how...
Any other tips etc are greatly appreciated!

It was a mediocre movie. As everyone else seems to be saying, VO or subtitles would have improved matters. Some of the scenes were confusing because of continuity problems. Keep working on it and t could get 4, maybe even 5 stars.

A first effort so I have to cut you some slack. Experiment with the capabilities of the editor a little more and try and work on continuity in your movies.
Also, movies don't have to have VOs, but they do need at least some kind of subtitles. I don't think there is enough flexibility in the Movies to really be able to tell a story without at least subtitles.

I'm sorry. This was really bad. Let me explain a few things about my rating: The scenes seemed totally uncut and pretty random. The supposedly scary moments made me laugh. That's a game problem. The supposedly scary scenes look ridiculous as do most of the monster costumes. The art lies in steering clear of those scenes unless you want to create a ridiculous effect. The story wasn't there. Or it was, but it was an often heard and often seen topic.

I hope, you keep on doing films, but keep in mind, that the scissors are your best friends in creating something original and worthwhile.

no subtitles or voice overs

In my opinion you do a good job for your first movie. Of course, with subtitles or voice overs it would be much better, but I see some good, original ideas in your storyline and I like that! Please excuse my bad english.

Nice effort. Don't take creative critism wrongly from others. You'll only get better.

Well, it NEEDS those VO's (or subtitles). Without it, I had to guess what was going on. And you had a couple of continuity errors which detracted from the film. But I'd still like the see the completed version!

Personally i prefer subtitles to v/o anyway.... however you havn't included either. for the most part it is well put together... however no plot!

Not bad for a first entry... You have managed to make a visually coherent story. Some of the things I would do are to turn the mumbling off, and start subtitling it, so that the viewers can get a better feel of a plot and story besides the visual aspect.

For your first movie it wasn't too bad, however voiceovers would have helped a lot.

Well, it's not that good really. Editing was very rough and there didn't seem to be any focus to the story. And what about the costumes? I mean, why where the girls all wearing 19th century brothel outfits, whereas the guy was clearly wearing a sweater and jeans. Also, was the werewolf blind as he got into the shack, as he didn't see the girl standing two feet away from him, and only a minute before he was reading a book(!).

I also didn't particularly like the fact that the werewolf had his jaw open the whole time. Looked kinda stupid to me. I realize that you can only work with what is provided to you, but these kinds of things can easily be worked around, like by not showing the werewolf all the time.

A few good cuts saves this from getting a one.

Hard to follow. Editing was good. Definately needed captions or VOs as mentioned. 3 stars +1 for a first movie.

I'm not sure if you intentionally wanted this to be a "silent film" but either way I didnt get the story you were trying to tell. It just felt like you came up with the story as you were looking at the available scenes. As in hey that would look cool for the next scene I think I will use it. Come up with a working script with either narration or dialogue, and pre plan your scenes to make sure it comes as close to what you want to come across to the viewer.

I agree with the previous post. it was an ok film but you really should add some subtitles pr VOs. They are cornerstones in these kind of movies. were nice editing though, and i loved that you didnt use music (movies can often be creepier with silence at times).

This was a pretty decent movie. The storyline was good and the actors reacted well with the things going on around them, but there were no subtitles or voice overs. That is why I give this movie three stars.
