Film Description
Before you read about my movie I'd like you to know about one another director did http://movies.lionhead.com/movie/22512 It is a sci fi movie and is really quite good. I gave it a rating it did not deserve and would like to take a chance to make up for that. Please go see Adventures of Yuedar Pt2 by Rocky541. You won't regret it.

Welcome.
The point of this is to be a fan film... I don't think it needs to pointed out that this is a tribute to A New Hope.
BATTLE SCENE
A large ship of the evil government has found a possible rebel diplomatic vessel and has intercepted it.
come discuss it in its thread in the forum.

The smaller vessel is overwhelmed and chased to a distant desert world.

This movie uses no names (it actually does) and uses entirely original music.

MUSIC IS FROM www.edgen.com with permission for use in this movie.

ANYONE WHO IS OFFENDED BY MY MARKING LOW FOR LACK OF VOICE OVERS, GO BUY A MIC FOR $10 AT THE MALL OR A COUPLE OF BUCKS AT A THRIFT STORE.

Good attempt at recreating Star Wars Episode IV. I wonder how you added that intro/battle scene into the movie, that was a really good touch.

I cried a bitty tear. Moving. Poignant. Deep.
Great job. Star Wars will never die.
Loved the voice-overs. Good work.

What you've basically done here is make the film every star wars film nut wants to make when he buys the game.
Good for you, mate.
3 stars.

Yes, a very creative way to do the voices. Perhaps a little bit better editing would have made the film more than a 4, but it was a great attempt at a tribute to a great sci fi epoch

I think people have been unfair to this movie. You put a lot of work into those animations, that much is easy to tell and the fact that they flicker a bit does not take away from the story. And the VO work was done with care.

It was a good tribute with what you had available. I liked the FX you did with the backdrops at the beginning, must have taken you hours. It did have a Star Wars feel to it. I don't think films have to have VO's, yours were good and just right for this film.

That was a nice little section of Star Wars.I'm sure the opening sequence took a whole lot of backdrops. It was a good attempt.

Uh? What? I pressed Play and woke up after 10 hours when my sister said "I got so bored watching this movie I was giving you a blowjob but then I looked at this movie for a second and fell a sleep"
*Big stretch* What's next? (In case you didn't know, I review everyone's movies if I got them through RANDOM MOVIE button. You can return my 1 star reviews soon when I upload ym kick ass movies)
But this really deserved 1 star.
Watch if you wanna die.

You've used some pretty advanced techniques in the beginning that I'd like to see refined for use in later, more original works.

I give this 2 stars for technical skill and 1 star for the story. If this had been an original story using the same techniques, I would've rated it 4 or 5.

For your text crawl, I reccomend using the static 3 scene on the Stage. I don't have the pixel coordinates handy right now since I'm not on my home computer, but if you check out my movie, Iron City Chronicles, you can see that it gives a much cleaner angle on the backdrop than the one you've used.

THAT WAS [play nice now!]E!!! ***********PLEASE NOTE I AM NOT A 1 STAR SPAMMER******** I JUST THOUGHT YOUR FILM WAS VERY POOR, IF YOU'RE GOING TO DO ANIMATIONS THEN AT LEAST DO HALF DECENT ONES FOR GOD SAKE I'VE SEEN BETTER IN A BUCK RODGERS EPISODE!!!!! I WILL NOW NEED TO UPLOAD CAPTAIN BRILLIANT AGIAN AND SHOW YOU WHAT A GOOD SPACE MOVIE IS INSTEAD OF RIPPING OFF REALLY POORLY A CLASSIC FILM

Sorry that is NOT Darth Vader, the custom space ships don't fit. Sorry I love Star Wars and this isn't even close.

Hmm....well i didn't like it, but i figure with all that wild custom stuff you definatly deserve something.

The fact that you did Star Wars with such limited ability of this game just suprises me, which, I've had a lot of as of late.

A good try, but a little more addition here and there and work on the cutting room floor would have made it much better.

Two Stars for the movie, but two more for the animations.

Hrmm... what shall we give this one. I've seen better movies and worse. I missed the very typical 'breathing' of Darth Vader which I think should be in a re-make with vo. The scrolling letters at the beginning of the movie where pretty good (though hard to read on this small screen) which makes me rate this movie a 3 stars overall. With some more effort I think you will soon be releasing 4 (5?!) stars Star Wars remakes.

Nice little homage, with clever use of custom backdrops (must have been a real chore to get that right!)

I found the sound mix to be pretty awkward. I could barely hear the music, and if I turned up the volume, the voiceovers were just blaring. I also often couldn't make out the voiceovers, which is why I suggest people using VO *also* use subtitles.

You really need to be more careful and precise when cutting your scenes. There are a lot of places where one or two frames are shown that were supposed to have been cut with the rest of a scene, and it can get very distracting.

i was hoping someone would do a star wars movie.. good attempt but i think you could have found a better likeness to vader

- JACKRABBIT

Well I will give you an extra star for the rather groovey animation at the star, and the scrolling text.
But the star wars rip-off itself is really nothing special. The VO was a little hard to hear, but we all know what wa said anyway!

Nice job, but needed some more editing. A lot of sound effects were off. Good job recreating the feel of the movie though. VO's were a little hard to hear at points too.

Clearly inspired by Star Wars Episode IV. Inconsistant sound effects (laser sounds intermixed with bullet sounds and blasters with no sound effects) really hurt this film. Overall, a decent effort.

I normally don't enjoy fan films but this was more a remake and well done with the limited sets at hand. All those movies need to be remade but the last three need new scipts and directors, ok star wars rant mode off.

Clearly a labor of love, but I'm not enthralled by the idea of just remaking favorite films.

3 stars for originality. The sound effects seemed to be completely random during the interrogation ("We intercepted no transmissions"). Being an uber Star Wars fan myself, I admire the effort but also.....it has a heck of a lot to live up to and I can't bring myself to rate it higher.

Good job, but a question... in your response to my "Gunplay" movie, you commented "Your voiceovers were incredible! Thanks!" It pissed me off because maybe, did you ever think that some people don't have mics on their computers? I DON'T! That's why I didn't do voiceovers. That's why I gave you a 3, and also because this is a remake of a copyrighted movie(s). Just like Star Wars: Episode 4: The New Hope.

Plot - Fair - Can't give you higher than a 3 here since the material is ripped 3*
Script - Fair - Again material is ripped 3*
Sound/Music - Poor - Syncing was terrible 2*
Editing - Fair - Alot of scenes looked disjointed, custom animations athough i'm sure there difficult to do look horrid *3

I think I've seen this somewhere before, put can't quite put my finger on it...

Anyway, you've done a pretty admirable job with what the game gives you and went a step beyond with the animation, which clearly requires alot of work. Solid 4 stars.

umm i give three just for the very creative use of the backdrops..the movie lacked sound effects at certain points but i did enjoy the original music...the editing could have been tightend in a few areas but overall a good film.

I liked the scrolling text at the beginning. Was blurry, but the idea was nice. 4 stars because it was basically a remake of a movie that didn't need a remake. Hehehe

Three for the work. Unfortunately as I see it is a redone Star Wars: Episode Four: The New Hope, I can not consciously rate higher. The editing was good and it had a nice VO.
