Film Description
An introduction to 2 of the Lead Actors in the series Operation : E-Tel. It's closing time on a Thursday evening in a bank. Mel has just finished serving her final customer for the day when.....

EDIT : This was my first attempt with AMM. As has been stated the gun scenes just don't work. I wasn't happy about this when I released it. Mel was never supposed to have a gun, but I let the constraints of the game get to me and didn't get creative enough to find a solution.

I pretty much agree with all the feedback and really appreciate it. You guys are helping to make Chapter 2 better than it would have been, so cheers :)

(Part 2 will see Mel & Eddie meet up for a drink the following evening) Release Date : TBA

P.S - If your review is like : 'Nice! Now please go rate my movie' , you'll be disappointed because I won't. Don't say it, and leave at least a sentence or two about what you liked and didn't like, and chances are I WILL visit your studio page.

Only thing that kept me from giving this 5 stars was the lack of voiceovers. You had a great story. Nice bit on the 'take that' from Eddie too. :)

I liked this movie... And the only thing what is bad on this, that it isn't longer... I wanna see more like this... And think about a voiceover... That would be a big plus next time... anyway, f#great movie, great music mix, well subtitles and a nice story

pretty good i enjoyed it, you can clearly see you worked very hard on this film which boosts this film up in my book as you see alot of thrown together mumbo jumbo on this site, very good piece of filmwork, ofcourse room to improve but everyone has that. Keep up the good work.

The Fateful Meeting was one to be hitting the charts. Some of the scenes were a bit awkward at times with the banker taking out a gun on the robber, what happened afterwards? Other than that, voice overs would have been great to see in this movie and this movie has a lot of potential. A lot of things were left hanging at the end but it is all in good faith if the next one is released soon. Hope to see this studio strive for greatness.

It was an okay movie. I couldn't get that interested though. Seemed a pretty standard bank robbery story. Maybe I'm getting jaded after 50+ reviews.

Interesting film and I am intrigued as to where the overall story is going.

Apart from the errors pointed out (especially the bank teller pulling the gun) I thought the editing was fine and needs only minor tweaks.

The music was used to maximum effect and overall this is pretty good.

Like I said, I highly anticipate the next instalment to see where the hell this is going to take me.

Keep up the good work.

Very nicely done. I really liked your ending. Scenes were put together well. Some subtitles were a little fast. Overall excellent work.

Pretty good, but there's nothing I could say that hasn't been said already. From what you said on the forums, you already know what needs tightening, so here's hoping the next one will be a blockbuster:)

It was great!!! A nice set up, would really love to see the rest. I love the fact that you gave it a little depth, and no just based it around the pre-made fight scenes. Keep it up!

TO be honest I found this film a little dull. The errors in the bank scene (which have already been pointed out by, well most really so I won't go over them here) kind of put a damper on the whole thing, and well nothing really happens. Neither of the main characters seem in the least bit interesting and well I was just left with a big sense of "and, so what".

A good film. I had some trouble with dissappearing guns, and how you didn't resolve the gun to gun conflict. How come the robber didn't just shoot Eddie? I liked the premise, and the editing was good however.

A good storyline that could have been improved with a little editting and some voiceovers. You didn't tie up a lot of loose ends which would normally get you -1 star but this is after all, a first in a series so no - for you!

Well done! Subtitles could use some fixing though.

Pretty decent! I liked the characters, and it was a good storyline for them to meet. I felt like you could have trimmed it down a bit by editing some of the scenes shorter... Also, keep an eye on grammar and punctuation consistency in the subtitles (it detracts the tiniest bit). Regardless, it looks like a good setup to a continuing story!

Needs voiceovers but not bad...kind of cute and I'm secure enough in my manhood to say that

First, I'd suggest that if you do another all subtitle movie you should give the characters different fonts, just make sure they're legible. The robbery scene didn't come together as well as the rest of the movie. How does the armed hobo get into an unarmed fist fight? What good is a gun behind bullet proof glass? Other than that, and the abrupt ending, I liked the movie. For some reason the hobo was my favorite character. He's gotta be the worst bank robber ever. Bring on the sequel!

To take over the way RSJ62483 rated your movie:

Originality: 3 - Not much new to me. Sorry, but for me it was quit boring. But it's open for part 2. Maybe that will be better.

Editing: 2 - Almost the same as RSJ62483 mentioned. And the scene with the robber and the banker was way too long.

Sounds: 2 - Same. And the sounds of the telephone and the door bell were a bit too loud.

Flow: 4 - Flow was quit good and it's open for part 2.

All in all a solid 3 star movie. Which is not bad!! But it's still far from beeing something special between all those other movies

"Fateful in a Sense"

Originality: 4 - Slightly new style to this community, awkward charcters were placed at times with more cliche ones. (ex. the robber was diffferent, but the stars were very unoriginal in design).

Editing: 2 - Some Major errors here, some sound didn't sync up right, some people seemed to be placed in bad spots and among others, a key scene showing someone walking through out of one room using a door that is part of another room. Not the smartest move, even with the limitations of the program, something else still coulda been used in place of what was.

Sounds: 2 - There really weren't any, and like stated before, when their were, they seemed out of sync.

Flow: 3 - The movie did manage to flow well, but it left too many things open at the end and prolly should've gone on longer. It felt like it ended halfway, sort of like a "life goes on" kinda ending to it.

Replayability: 3 - Prolly won't watch it again, on a whole not a bad movie though.

3 out of 5 stars.

Wow... nice story... biggest prob I had was some of the subtitles were way to fast. Trying to keep up with the text distracted me from watching.... very good job though!

An intriguing movie! Had some nice comedy momments, and was a film where certain unexpected things were happening (namely the bank clerk pulling the gun, and Eddie giving the robber a sheepish slap). Scenes like those were unpredicatble and had my full attention. They kept me guessing and intereted, however, i thought the dialogue (the getting to know you, and the asking out scene) could have been punchier and written more unconventionally to reflect the somewhat unconventional comedic situations of the other scenes. I'll make sure though that i catch the next parts and see where the story's going and if there's improvement. Good job.

Hey PL, here's my return review :-)

I liked it. Its a simple story, but its well told, and well edited. You have some really good dialogue going on, and some witty moments, which always help.
Nice use of sets and scenes to achieve what you were after.
Look forward to part 2.

Not a bad film at all, like one of the review say the fight scene in the bank is abit funny which you could improve them by editing. Some of the soundtrack didn't fit the scene very well but overall it's better then many films I have seen. Can't wait for part two, keep up the good work ^_^

It was pretty good, I don't get why they would be fighting while the other girl had a gun and could of just stopped the robber. Also the robber had a gun too he could of just shot the guy. It was an ok movie, good attempt at one.

Nice, solid movie. As mentioned by some other people the subtitles went a bit to fast and it ended with a bit too many questions. However, the latter part of my complaints is, I think, somewhat irrelevant since this is just an introduction to the characters and as such a really good one!

Nice story. It is well writen. Characters are also well designed. I never got bored, even knowing that action/romance movies aren't my favourite ones. Nice job.

I enjoyed the film. I was a little unsure with the fight scene in the bank but i guess that you havent got huge options with animations when it comes to fight scenes or disarming criminals but maybe slice the scene so that the robber takes one punch or something and is knocked out, rather than what felt like a schoolboy push and shove. I was relieved that the shower scene stayed a shower scene and not someone creeping behind her as is so often used in films on these boards, so congrats for that :P The ending was kinda sudden and had a big focus on the hobbo getting locked up and i presume this focus was because he features in the next episode and if he doesnt then i'm puzzled why that scene lasted so long etc. All in all, quite enjoyable mate :)
i also thought that the subtitles were timed great and i realise that with so many actors in the film that it isnt possible to do voice overs too easily, but with so many subtitled films floating around currently, it is sooooo nice to watch a voiced (or even part voiced) film..., and to end - i will see part 2 when released and expect to see all the answers to the questions you left me after part 1 ;)

Very entertaining but it ends with too many questions. Poor hobo, just wanted some clothes. And some of the subtitles went fast during their conversation in the bank. But a good flick.
