THIS IS PART 1 of a much longer story. So it starts slow. Part 2 is out and posted here:
Part 3 is posted here:
Setting, the timeframe is 3417. Earth has had faster than light technology for a thousand years. Humanity has spread across the galaxy meeting all kinds of life and exploring countless worlds. Earth, no longer the centerpoint of human exisitance is a distant fading world. Law on the frontier is more or less determined by corporate interests who pander to the people by allowing them to have their elected governments to which they thoroughly influence.
Given the competing corporations, and the spheres of influence they wield, it was determined at the famed Summit of 2795 that certain cross sphere organizations would be allowed, these would function as a common society foundation upon which commerce could work more seemlessly. The Bounty Hunter's guild is responsible for tracking criminals that may have escaped from one corporate sphere to another. The Transportation guild helps regulate common spaceflight safety standards. And many other guilds. Open conflict is not common amongst these corporations, but that does not mean they aren't preparing for it...
This is the story of a man who wakes in a jail cell on a strange world, with no memory of his past. He must find out who he was, what happened to him, RUN from the forces that imprisoned him, reclaim what was his...and discover more of his mysterious origins along the way, and the ramifications of his existance...
The Remnant Part 1 makes Lionhead News week of 11/28/05 - Hot Pick.

Some brilliant VO, and good editing. In my view this wasn't a strong enough storyline to stand out on its own or as a first part of a series.
Nothing to fault on the technical side though. Well done.

3 stars for teh entertainment value. The plot leaves alot of questions though, which is why its only 3 stars.
Adding 1 star for the impressive sound effects and voice overs. A suburb job in that department.
Total: 4 stars - looking forward to the next episode

Well directed and the VO's added to the film which is great as some middle of the road VO's would have ruined it.
The story line was fairly basic but as a series start I found it did the job well enough to get the whole line off the ground.
I look forward to the next!

Excellent voice-over. I can't say much more than has been said for the last version, but the VO helps this movie greatly.
